Quinquireme of Ninevah

Ingredients: vegetable soap, water, propylene glycol, coconut, sodium stearate, sodium lauryl sulphate, titanium dioxide, perfume, orange oil, benzoin, vanilla absolute

Review: QofN was the sort of precursor to the present ‘I Should Coco” soap by Lush. The difference is that this doesn’t have the scratchy, exfoliating dessicated coconut. This is a creamy soap that smells more of Lushious coconut than I Should Coco soap in my opinion. I’m not cazy about coconut, there are times when I hate coconut. So I’m picky about coconut scented products. But this Quinquireme of Ninevah soap adds oranfe which makes it more complex and lovely. is one I do indeed like to use. Not bad, being that it’s a coconut soap. I would think the majority of people would find this to be a 4 star soap.

Lush Times description: Q of N is a creamy, smooth cocnut scented soap made in 35 kg block with two rope handles so it can be carried with dignity to its destination within Lush shops. Inspired by the poem by John Masefield, in which he describes the Quinquereme’s cargo of precious oils and spices. Some of which we used in the soap’s coconut based perfume. We’ll cut you a 100 g slice from one of these precious cargoes to bring a hint of the exotic Middle East of times gone by to your very own wash basin.
