Sticky Dates products

Lush created Sticky Dates shower gel a couple of years ago during the holidays. It became so popular that Lush made other kinds of products with the sticky dates fragrance/ingredients.

For Easter 2024 Lush has added a body lotion, a body spray fragrance, and a sugar scrub.

😊 In my ten minute video below i review, demo, rate, describe each of these products.

Shower gel 5 out of 5 rating

The shower gel is my favorite of the bunch and its also one of my top favorite lush shower gels.

Its dark, thick and rich with the scent of sticky toffee pudding. Carob, orange, vanilla, date syrup, sandalwood.

It smells like a brown sugar and toffee desert you would want to eat. Like sticky toffee pudding, which is made with dates too, amongst other good things.

Sticky toffee pudding

Ive never wanted to eat a Lush product more than i do this shower gel. Okay maybe Posh Chocolate or B Never gel too. 😄

Its a nice thick gel.

Sugar scrub 4.5 out of 5

I love the light and dark brown swirls that go through the wholecontainer of sugar scrub. I also enjoy the gold on the top.

I demo this scrub on my arm at the sink in my video above and i show the consistency of it up close.

It smells the most close to the shower gel as far as the rick, sticky toffee scent.

Next in line in terms of ratings

Body lotion 4 out of 5

Its thick but not greasy. Someof you know that alot of lotions are too greasy for me but this is nice and it smells good. Not quite as nice smling as the shower gel but close.

Body spray fragrance 3 out of 5 rating

It smells good when first sprayed, however as it dries it loses much of the richness It initially has like the rich scent of the shower gel. It smells less and less yummy the longer I wear it.

This is just on my skin, your mileage may vary.

In the lush photo below is the sticky dates soap which will available to purchase for Lush Mother’s Day. Can’t wait! 😄

Lord of Misrule body lotion

5 out of 5

Lord of Misrule was one of four body lotions thst were exclusive to Lush UK. They asked us which lotions we would like them to make that theyve never made before. I absutely loved that the four that i suggested were made. I love each of these scents SO very much.

The scent is nice and strong and smells just like the lord of misrule bath bomb.

Lush Uk made these exclusive lotions that they’ve never made before a couple of years ago around 2018.

The lord of Misrule lotions smells exactly like the shower gel and bath bomb. Made with Vanilla, Patchouli, and Black Pepper. Yummy.

I made a video showing it below. In the video i showed exactly how thick it is.

I did a pretty thorough review and demo of the body lotion in a video. I was very pleased with the thicker consistency of the lotion(s). In the past sometimes exclusive lotions were very thin.

Here’s a scent family photo below. The lotion was made after i took this photo. There have been a handful of other kinds of products that Lush has made for us to buy in the last few years since this lotion was made.

Heres my video below if youd like to see the consistency, etc. I love that its a green color like the bath bomb. Sometimes when theyve made one off lotions in the past they were all white, so i appreciate the added color. 😊

Avocado No-Wash

Lush ‘Avocado No-Wash body lotion

This has never been made for the public. Lush, Mark Constantine let us vote for which community favorites product we would like in a body lotion in 2018.
Its up for the vote for the Lush Kitchen September 2021 Subscription Box.

5 out of 5 rating for scent and 3 out of 5 rating for performance.

It was made in rhe wonderful ‘Avocado Co Wash’ solid shampoo scent.

The scent is a tart lime scent with a nice sweet note in it. It’s quite a big burst of a lime-y fragrance made with sweet, fruity bergamot oil, fragrant incense-y yet citrussy frankincense (olibanum), and the lemony litsea cubeba herb.
There is the addition of avocado, which is moisturizing and softening for skin and hair.

I like other products in this scent more than the body lotion. Its SO conditiining that it takes along time for it to dry on my skin so i can handle my camera or phone without getting them covered with lotion.

I loved the Melusine bath bomb, the shower gel and then the Minamisoma shower oil the most.

Minamisoma solid shower oil

Ginger body lotion

Lush ‘Ginger’ body lotion.

Ginger perfume is one of those products that lush started selling when they were called ‘Cosmetics To Go’ in the 90’s. It was VERY popular.

This is a pic of mine in the white pot, but now they’re in black pots.

Up for the vote for the August 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription Box.
Its made with rose, jasmine, ginger root. It’s a VERY floral scent. And a bitter floral, not a sweet scent.

There are around 12 Lush products that i have had over the years which were made in this same Ginger scent.

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with this scent. I used to like it a lot. But now i don’t. I love rose, i love jasmine and i love ginger root, so i’m not sure why i don’t like it. It’s VERY strong.

Do y’all like this scent? Or not so much?

Yog Nog body lotion

3 out of 5 rating

Created exclusively (along with five other lotions that we voted on) in 2015 for the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen. Never sold to the public. I remember buying 3 at that time.

Up for the vote for the July 2021 Lush subscription box.

Unfortunately, especially because i am around photography and video equipment a lot, it was way too greasy for my skin. I left greasy spots all over every table that i sat at for dinner, it left a greasy residue on everything i touched. Wonderful smell! But i just couldn’t use it, so i held a giveaway and gave away the other two unopened pots i had bought.
I like the Yog Nog body milk much more as it’s not so thick and oily as the lotion in the pot.

Grass lotion

3 out of 5

This was an exclusive made in the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen that i bought. They had numerous products turned into lotion that week in the kitchen in 2014.

Grass lotion was made in the Lush ‘Grass’ scent, which smells like fresh, green grass.
It all started with the Grass bubble bar in 2014. The bubble bar was only available for awhile and only certain stores.
Then all the other products you see came after. ‘Autumn Leaf’, ‘Grass shampoo bar, The Mother’s day ‘Bubble Grub Bug’ bubble bar, ‘exclusive Lush ‘No Animal Testing’ soap, Grass shower gel, and not shown in my pic are the ‘Grass’ perfume oil, and the Grass body spray.

I LOVE the perfume oil best and this lotion the least. I don’t know if i bought one from a bad batch or what but it was very disappointing. Very thin, hardly any scent.

This lotion is the least ‘grass’ smelling of all the grass products.

Grass perfume oil
Grass scent family (missing the perfume oil and body spray)

Lime Bounty

5 out of 5 rating.

I would give it a 6 out of 5 rating if i could 😄

It was first seen in the Lush UK Kitchen Subscription box for the month of February 2021

See my 4 minute demo, review, scent description video below.

My favorite Lush lotion now.
I would give it a 6 out of 5 rating if i could 😄
Lime, Coconut.
So beautiful smelling. Just like Key Lime Pie.
It just sinks in to my skin without feeling greasy.

Sleep massage bar

5 out of 5 rating

See my Demo Vid below

I rub some on my forearms every night before bed and it smells like Heaven.

sleep

“Relax into a creamy Sleepy-scented massage, with chamomile essence water and super absorbent marula oil for soft skin. Better sleep and less stress are both associated with a regular rub-down. Why not team with the rest of the Sleepy family?”

I’m in total love with this new bar. It has everything we like about the Sleepy/Twilight scent, but turned up. The bar really brings out its creamy, sweet quality. I love it when a Lush scent meets the perfect product for it, so that it becomes the best way that the scent can possibly smell. 👍🏼

From Lush Oxford Street. All of the Lush massage bars have been redesigned a wee bit.

How to use:
Think of this as a solid massage oil, the butters and oils are designed to melt at body temperature so hold the bar between your hands to start melting before gliding over your skin, or someone else’s…

How to store:
Keep this cool and dry, the ideal place is a Lush tin until you are ready to indulge in a home spa treatment, or your skin is in need of a boost of hydration.

Melt warning:
This product is made with ingredients that allow it to soften around body temperature. During hot spells, it may melt. If you have any concerns please contact Customer Care.

Yog Nog body milk

5 out of 5 rating

I’ve tried two other exclusive Lush body milks and have recorded up close demos of the body milks below, so you can see how these body milks are.

When i buy my Christmas products and they’re delivered- i’ll write my reviews, post my tub bath water photos and video demo here for you. 😊

I’ve bought and used the exclusive Lush Yog Nog body lotion (in my group photo below) and it was too much for me. Too greasy. So i was wary about this yog nog body milk. But this sinks in so much better. And it leaves you feel moisturized but not greasy. And it smells delicious!

I took a photo of all the Lush Yog Nog products made throughout the years. If you’ve had one of these you know how this body milk will smell like.

heres a video of me showing up close a couple of Lush body milks.

Vanilla Dee-Lite

vanillary scent

Lush Times Online: Delightfully soothing, creamily smoothing, vanilla scented lotion for your body and hands. The Lush body creams that come in black pots are the thicker ones; the lighter ones, like Vanilla Delite, turn up in bottles. (100% recycled of course.) It’s been named Delite instead of Delight as a joke, not to annoy the writing team. The important thing is that it’s made with lovely light oils and butters – including Hawaiian tamanu and monoi – organic coconut water and Simon’s Vanilla Mountain scent! Use it to scent and soften your skin.

Ingredients: Hibiscus Infusion (Hibiscus sabdariffa), Spring Water, Pure Organic Coconut Water (Cocos nucifera), Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Stearic Acid, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Fresh Kiwi Fruit (Actinidia chinensis), Glycerine, Triethanolamine, Illipe Butter (Shorea stenoptera), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum grandiflorum), Tonka Absolute (Dipteryx odorata), Tamanu Oil (Calophyllum inophyllum), Cetearyl Alcohol, *Coumarin, Hydroxycitronellal, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben * Occurs naturally in Essential Oils

Snowflake

5 out of 5 rating

See my demo and review video below.

Snowflake

Firstly, No this does NOT smell like Lush Snowcake body lotion. Its not the Snowcake scent. This has totally different ingredients such as sandalwood, benzoin and Rose water.

This smells pretty, but slightly sexy, and there is also a slightly yummy quality. My skin smells great. Im just gonna say it; i like Snowflake lotion better than Snowcake lotion, so im not disappointed at all that its not snowcake scented.

List of ingredients

“There’s snow need to fear the ravages of winter when this luxurious body lotion is on your side. A lightweight cream with a triple dose of almond thanks to softening almond milk, moisturising Fair Trade almond oil and sweetly scented almond essential oil. Add to that a splash of soothing rose water, cosy benzoin and delicate sandalwood and you’ve got the perfect tonic to quench the thirst of winter parched skin. Evocative of the first snow of the year, dive into this glistening pot of marzipan scented magic and get it all over your body.” Lush Uk

American Pie body conditioner

4 out of 5 rating

See my 6 minute sink demo of both the potted and naked versions video below.

I love that Lush made a body conditioner from one of its popular hair conditioner (American Cream) fragrance. And i like that they named it American Pie like the exclusive shower jelly from a couple of years back from lush.co.uk

The fragrance of it is akin to a vanilla milkshake. In fact the hair conditioner which started this all was made to mimic an American cocktail which tastes like a vanilla milkshake.

Lush has made more than a dozen different products in this same blend of vanilla, lavender, clary sage and strawberry juice.

Think of this as a hair conditioner for the body. In my demo video i show how to apply it and how to rinse it off.

This works well for me. I live in the desert southwest and my skin is VERY dry and this works really well at moisturizing without feeling greasy or oily.

Little Pot of Energy

5 out of 5 rating

This is a solid/naked, packageless body lotion exclusive to the LushLabs at lush.co.uk

While i did not like the previous naked body lotion ‘Once Upon a Time’ that lush made for Christmas 2017 because it was too greasy, this one, Little Pot of Energy, is different.

Its not oily nor greasy. Its a drier consistency than ive seen before. Almost how a dry deo goes on. Theres no tacky feeling when you apply it.

I like the smell. Its made with oranges and grapefruit, as i explain in my demo and review video below.

the bottom line is that this works for me. it moisturizes my skin without feeling oily, and it snells great.

i would actually use this everyday, and i might even buy another one.

Lush: Move mountains. Fight lethargy. Deliver a dose of vitalising citrus straight to the skin. It’s a bolt of lightening to the brain: a sweep of orange puree that’s electric sharp to sniff but smooth as butter on your body thanks to a base of Fair Trade Colombian cocoa butter. Supercharge your skin with a sweep of brightening orange and grapefruit pulp and reboot your mind with a perfume flavour so fresh you can nearly taste it. Motivation’s never been this mouthwatering.

Once Upon A Time

5 out of 5 rating

Made with Apple infusion. See my demo & review video below of my black pot version and the ‘naked’ version of this lotion.

This isn’t quite exactly like so white in my noses’ opinion. So i asked Lush, and they verified that its not exactly the same as So White But its a derivative, it’s similar. Once upon a time has more of a real apple scent and i smell less orange flower.

Sleepy hand cream

4.5 out of 5 rating

Vegan-See my demo video of this hand cream below

This hand Cream is made with the lovely lavender and tonka bean ‘Twilight’ scent.

It is made with various nut butters: pumpkin, peanut, cashew, and almond butters. As well as lavender oil and tonka.

file-feb-08-4-09-24-pm

I compared this to the Lush Twlight body lotion. This hand cream is definitely thicker. It’s not as creamy as the body lotion, it’s thick, almost like a paste.

It smells just like the Twilight fragrance that we all know and love.

I found it both odd and cool that this was in   silver squeeze tube. Different for Lush, but I like it.

I’m a good fcandidatefor a hand cream as for many years now I’ve had such dry, weather beaten, wrinkly hands.

Here’s my demo and review of it. I compare it to the Sleepy body lotion

Sleepy

See my demo video below

Lush new limited edition ‘Sleepy’ body lotion was made with the popular Lush “Twilight” scent.  Having tonka bean and lavender, it’s a creamy, slightly sweet, herbal scent.

Lush: ‘You’ll sleep in heavenly peace after dipping into this dreamy lotion, made with a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and comfortingly sweet tonka absolute. A rich, malty and floral perfume conjures up visions of sugar plums and hot drinks topped with whipped cream while the heavenly ministrations of creamy Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and delicate lavender water cool and enrich the skin. Blanket your body in this lovely lotion before stepping into soft pyjamas for snuggly winter nights beside the fire.’

This smells like honey and orange flower to me more than anything. It’s lovely. It’s not greasy or anything. And it really does seem to firm things up.

Skin Sin

Skin Sin 100g £3.25p

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Glycerine, Stearic Acid, Tagettes Oil (Tagettes glandulifera), Tangerine Oil (Citrus reticulata), Chamomile Oil (Anthemis nobilis), Lavender Oil (Lavandula hybrida), Perfume, Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Lush.a.Lot’s Review: Skin Sin is similar to Lush’s discontinued “Cherie Ripe” massage bar. It’s a lighter scent then Cherie Ripe message bar or Snap the Whip or even Potion. When I first put it on, it was cherry, in a majorly yummy way. Now that it’s rubbed in and stuff it smells like light soft cherry and just a touch of that fruity currant smell.  I guess I’m just lucky with these latest round of new products because this has absolutely no acrid currant-cat pee smell on me whatsoever as some say it does. Not in the least.  Skin Sin is beautiful. It’s just a lushious black currant creamy raspberry scent. This is a nice lighter scented summer body lotion that is quickly absorbed like “Potion”, and it’s also like “Potion” in consistency. I could actually wear this to work and not be worried about it being to “Lushy” or too “Strong”.

Lush Description: Skin Sin started life as a truly beautiful cream which made our skin feel good all over. We used almond oil to sink deep down into the skin and give longer lasting benefits (not just a nice smell and a feeling which lasts half and hour like some chemical-raddled creams do). We added nourishing cocoa butter and humectant vegetable glycerine, soothing tagettes and chamomile oils. The trouble was with this gloriously effective cream, that its effective, dependable mix of essential oils made it smell all a bit too worthy. We wanted it to behave perfectly but to smell wicked. So Mark added a twist of rich, fruity cherry, which you smell more strongly as the earnest oils settle down and do their good works. It’s a bit like having Angelina Jolie join your school’s fundraising committee.

Tropical Jungle

2 out of 5 rating.

This is a woody, green forest-y, floral .

This lotion was made as an exclusive, in the same scent and ingredients as the popular Lush solid hair conditioner ‘Jungle’

The lotion was the third of seven exclusive Lush product to be made with the Jungle scent

While i love the Jungle scent, this lotion wasn’t quite what i was hoping for. It’s got the slightly sweet note that the other jungle products have, so this lotions scent seems flat. Also, it’s very greasy. I had to wipe my arms and hands off with a towel because after 40 minutes my hands and arms were still greasy and it got all over the table, my camera, my phone, and anything i touched.

No.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Glycerine, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Cypress Oil (Cupressus sempervirens), Cedarwood Oil (Juniperus virginiana), Cetearyl Alcohol, *Limonene, *Linalool, *Coumarin, *Cinnamal, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
* Occurs naturally in essential oils Vegan

I also have a Jungle hair conditioner, jungle liquid perfume, jungle jelly, a rare “Lushfest 2012′ Jungle massage bar, and a rare Lushfest 2012 jungle tree soap. I’ll have pages of these individual items as well, eventually.

Here’s a video i did of it
