Bug Splat

5 out of 5

See my in water tub demo video below 🙂

Kind of sweet and incensed.

Sandalwood, black pepper, labdanum

This was made for Lush Anti U.S. Drone war campaign.

LushBugSplatballisticadthreeballistics

The perfume came first, in the Lush ‘Gorilla III’ series of perfumes. I gathered them and took a picture of them. You can ‘The Bug’, which is the purple one in the lower row.

Ingredients:

Notes: labdanum, sandalwood, galbanum, elemi, black pepper

Description:

“We are joining forces with Reprieve once again, in a campaign to raise public awareness about drone strikes” (from Lush UK website).

This is a limited edition bomb that has the fragrance of The Bug perfume and is available on the UK website and probably in some of their stores over there.

“Every penny you spend on the Bugsplat Ballistic, minus the VAT, will be given to Reprieve to help fund their campaign against drone strikes.”
“Unsettling and disjointed,   hits of galbanum, Sandalwood, an earthy base with a fresh green note of elemi punctuated with whispers of bitterness to keep you looking over your shoulder.”

Here’s a video i made of the Bug Splat bath bomb in the tub.  I LOVE those colors together.

photo above thanks to Amelia Ng
This has a vanilla and musk kind of scent. Sweet and creamy from tonka bean and resinous and sexy from the labdanum. The labdanum brings almost a woody note. There’s also a bright splash of bergamot in here as well.

A little bit of what you fancy does you good, and a lotta what you fancy, well, it does you even better.
This sweet and zingy bomb is full of surprises, as well as comforting tonka absolute and refreshing bergamot oil to add a little spring to your hop, skip or jump.

Thundersnow

5 out of 5 rating. See my demo video below.

Out of 300+ Lush bath bombs, Thundersnow is in my top 20 Lush bath bombs of all time list.

Thundersnow is an actual phenomena that’s rare, when there’s a thunder storm while it’s snowing.
It was available exclusively at the 2017 Lush Summit in London.

Rumoured to come back for Christmas.

The scent is so good. Lightly sweet vanilla and mint.

Here’s a demo video I recorded of it in the tub wow!

Yellow Submarine

5 out of 5 rating – See my tub demo / review video of it below.

Gorgeous sparkle!

Not only am I a Beatles freak, but I like Coconut.

That smell is SO yummy. Like a coconut cream pie or pink colada.

I bought six from Lush UK

Below is a pic i took of Three (at the time) exclusive bath bombs from the Lush creative showcase.

This makes sense Such a gorgeous show in the tub!

I wish I had ten of these.

Yellow Submarine is one of those slow melting, creamy, multi-colored bath art bath bombs.

It has the colors yellow and pink.

Below are some ‘bath cocktails’ that i came up with. So the Happy Yellow Rabbit has coconut, pineapple (from the YS bomb) and Orange oil (from the Down the Rabbit Hole bubble bar and ‘Happy Talk’ bath oil.

Below is a bath cocktail i made called ‘Green Submarine’, made with Lush Yellow Submarine and Lush Green Coconut bath bomb.

Heres a bath cocktail i made with an Intergalactic bath bomb.

Below is my scent family photo showing the products Lush has made with the same scent.

Big Calm body lotion

Big Calm jelly

Big Calm solid perfume

Coco Loco solid shower oil

Coco Loco body spray

Sunny side jelly

Yellow Submarine bath bomb

In my pic below i have the Lush ‘Trident’ bath bomb. Its a black yellow submarine with a different scent. Its lime. And it has green glitter inside. Trident was an exclusive only made for the Lusha annual Creative Showcase held at Oxford Street store.

Here is a Tub Demo Video of Yellow Submarine 😊
🧐

Honey

Two new lip scrubs coming up. One for Mother’s Day and one for Easter.

Honey lip scrub smells and tastes like real honey smells. It’s sweet. If you’ve ever smelled the ‘B Never Too Busy to be Beautiful ‘ shower gel, you’ll like this lip scrub, it’s very similar.

It’s not at all like a ‘Honey I Washed the Kids/It’s Raining Men ‘ scent.

The honey scrub was more moisturizing than the chocolate lip scrub (because of the honey). There are other lip scrubs I like better. That said I do like it. It’s just not one of my favorite Lush lip scrubs.

Dorothy

This has the lovely, floral scent of Lush ‘Figs and Leaves’ soap.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar (Tartaric acid), Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Cocamide DEA, Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Orange Flower Absolute (Citrus Aurantium dulcis), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), *Benzyl Benzoate, *Linalool, Colour 42090, Colour 14700, Colour 15510}

Lush Times Online: Any friend of Dorothy is a friend of ours. This spring, we’re taking you far from the rain and grey clouds to somewhere over the rainbow. Your bath-water will be as blue as the skies over munchkinland and the exotic scent of ylang and sweet figs will make you want to go skipping off to see the wizard. A better day awaits you at the end of our rainbow.

Sunny Citrus

4 out of 5 rating

Ingredients: Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Water (Aqua), Fresh Lime Juice (Citrus limetta), Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Titanium Dioxide, Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Tangerine Oil (Citrus reticulata), Mandarin Oil (Citrus nobilis), Neroli Oil (Citrus amara), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Perfume, Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Colour 42045

Review: Highly underrated soap. Lush states that “it’s our creamy soap that truly smells like a creamsicle and bound to keep you smiling. made with the same essential oil blend as our new Sicilian bath bomb.” Lately Lush was putting more orange/ neroli in it. Smells like orange creamsicles and is very creamy and lovely sitting there all orange and bright yellow like sunshine.

LUSH Times Spring 2004 description: Sunny Citrus is not short of citrus essential oils. These give it a revitalising, stimulating scent which gives you a good shake when you’re feeling tired. If it were a person it would throw open the curtains and shout, ‘Rise and shine!’ before skipping off down the street to fetch the orange juice and fresh croissants for breakfast. Its cheerful disposition might be a little too overwhelming for people who like to wake up slowly, peaking at around tea time, but when you need to get up and go a Sunny Citrus shower will get you up and going. A creamy soap that truly smells like a creamsicle and bound to keep you smiling. made with the same essential oil blend as our new Sicilian bath bomb. Wash all over with creamy, revitalizing sunny citrus; its lime juice and orange oils will have you fresh, perky and bouncy (and very clean) in no time!!

Roller bath bomb

Santa bomb bomb

Heart Locket bath bomb (for one year only Lush made their yearly Heart in the YM scent).

See my demo video below

Made with strawberry, orange, geranium, and tonka. The popular Lush ‘Roller’ bath bomb takes its scent from the Yummy Mummy scent.

Yummy Mummy is a thick purple gel.

Its similar to the pink lush ‘yummy yummy yummy’ shower gel. Both have strawberry. And both have geranium. But this YM is sweeter and more of a caramel note because of the tonka bean and orange. Also, this YM has less strawberry then the ‘Yummy Yummy Yummy’ shower gel. And YYY has frankincense where this YM does not.

Even though of all the 436 different Lush shower gels ive used over twenty years, my third fave shower gel is yyy, this yummy mummy is #4 out of all 436 lush shower gels.

So i think that tells you how much i love this shower gel.

Here’s a demo video I recorded of this close up at the sink

Meet Scrubee – the newest buffer on the block.

Towering citrus suds

Keep your feet on the ground and lose sight of your head in the sky. Wash your neck, scrub your hooves, polish your legs. An elevated bathtime for kids and grown ups alike.

Benefits:

– Grapefruit oil lifts your mood to lofty new heights, and refreshes your inner sparkle.

– Petitgrain oil, a mild antiseptic, gets your skin in tip top condition, and is thought to help reduce anxiety.

How to store: Store in a cool, dry place before your first dip, and in between future soaks.

Ectoplasm

5 out of 5 rating.  See my demo and review video below

It shares its scent with the 2017 ‘TreeD’ bath oil

Gorgeous scent. Tangerine and grapefruit. And litsea cubeba which also smells  Lemony.

It’s basically Fruity but slightly sweet. a different citrus scent than anything that  Lush makes. This is a slllloooooooowwwwww fizzer. And it makes a nuclear green Slime on top of the water.

lush Description: If there’s something strange in your nightly bath, who you gonna call?

Launch this slimer into the water and let the gooey seaweed gel ooze across the surface, softening your skin as it goes. If you’re feeling ghoulish, the uplifting tangerine, grapefruit and restorative litsea cubeba oils will have you in high spirits in no time. Take the gunge.

These below are bath Art photos I’ve taken of my August 2017 Lush Ectoplasm so keep in mind the color isn’t exactly true to the actual bath bomb. 💜

Below are some photos of a prototype Ectoplasm I had received from a lovely Amelia the Lush Summit February 2017. Notice the color difference: white jelly vs green jelly. I like both. 🙂

SeXXX Bomb

5 out of 5 rating

Jasmine, Sage, Rose and ylang ylang.

Lush UK made these supersized bath bombs for one day only and only online. So we had the giant Sex Bomb called ‘Sexxx Bomb’, a giant Dragons Egg called ‘Mother of Dragons’, and a giant Intergalactic bomb called ‘Nebula’.

Here’s a 6 minute demo of this exclusive extra large Sex Bomb bath bomb. The entire bomb fizzed for 11 minutes.
