Lush Kitchen July 2021 Subscription Box

see my video below of the winning products

I’m not positive but i think they do this because In Australia it is Christmas in July. 😊 And the Lush Australia factory makes Christmas products on to sell on their retail website.

Gold, Frankincense and Beer shower and bath jelly

North Pole soap

Abombinaball bath bomb

Yog Nog lotion

Australian igloo

Ponche shower gel

Here is my unboxing with the products that were made from the votes they got.

Igloo (Australian Igloo) scrub

3 out of 5 rating

Lush ‘Australian Igloo’ sugar scrub.

Up for the vote for the July 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription Box.

The Kitchen subscription box site calls it ‘Igloo’. No. This is incorrect. It’s not Igloo. ‘Igloo’ is the name of a lush soap, and it’s also the name of a solid bath oil.

Originally made as a limited edition in store and online for Christmas 2011.

This was never remade in the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen.
Up for the vote for the July 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription Box.

It’s a pine scent. I wish it was a minty scent.

This doesn’t age well. It’s a nice soft consistency with large exfoliating pieces of sugar. It gets dry after a week or so and becomes hard and too scratchy to use on your skin.

Yog Nog body lotion

3 out of 5 rating

Created exclusively (along with five other lotions that we voted on) in 2015 for the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen. Never sold to the public. I remember buying 3 at that time.

Up for the vote for the July 2021 Lush subscription box.

Unfortunately, especially because i am around photography and video equipment a lot, it was way too greasy for my skin. I left greasy spots all over every table that i sat at for dinner, it left a greasy residue on everything i touched. Wonderful smell! But i just couldn’t use it, so i held a giveaway and gave away the other two unopened pots i had bought.
I like the Yog Nog body milk much more as it’s not so thick and oily as the lotion in the pot.

Ponche shower gel

See my demo video of it below

4 out of 5 (new version)

Made as a limited edition for Christmas 2010-2011 only. And remade for the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen in 2014. It’s up for the vote again for the Lush Kitchen July 2021 Subscription Box

This has a nice, Christmas punch kind of scent. Having cinnamon, orange juice, Okum, buchu oil, davana oil, and petigrain oil. All very fruity notes. The original version had tequila in it (like the punch that it’s named after), but for some reason they took it out. When they did that it changed the smell. It lost its bright note, but it’s still a nice scent.

Lush made a perfume of this exclusively for one day only on the Uk website in 2014.

Lush ‘Icing on the Cake’ smoothie rhoulade had the ponche scent as well.

Ingredients: Water, Plum Infusion, Cinnamon Infusion, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, orange juice, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Propylene Glycol, Lactic Acid, Davana Oil, Buchu Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Tequila, Eugenol, Geranoil, *Linalool, *Limonene, Colour 15510, Methylparaben.

Lush Times: Ay! Ay! Ay! It’s Christmas! Do not fear the winter blue, dear amigos! Take a shot of this zesty tequila and lime gel in your shower for amorning fiesta, sure to wake even the sleepiest morning monsters. Ponche was invented after a member of Lush HQ traveled through Mexico and enjoyed their traditional fruity party punch. Bring on the tequila!

hHere’s a demo and review video i did of this shower gel.

Ma Bar

Lush began selling the Honey I Washed the Kids soap since before they were called Lush. Back in the 90’s when they were called ‘Cosmetics To Go’.

Ingredients: 3.5 oz $6.30

Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar (Tartaric acid), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Cocoa Powder (Theobroma cacao), Cocamide DEA, Sweet Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Sugar Cube (Saccharum officinarum).

Review: When this bubble bar initially came out it was a limited edition “Mother’s Day” product. This bubble bar has the same scent as the popular Lush “Honey I Washed The Kids” soap, “Soft Couer” massage bar, “Honey Bee“, “Gold Finger“, etc. At times this scent can be too sweet for me. I have to be in the mood for the sweet yummy toffee scent but when I am this is a fun, great looking bar to use. In the bath, the scent isn’t as strong though and the smell diminishes too rapidly in my opinion. These are great gifts for a friend too because they look like a cute piece of cake or something.

2006 Lush Times description: The Ma Bar is our solution to the chocolate cravings which seem to possess us when the weather gets warmer. It has been scientifically proven that smelling sweets can satisfy your appetite for them. Crumble the chocolate and toffee coloured (and scented) Ma Bar under your running bathwater for a cocoa, orange, sugar and honey scented bath (let’s not forget the scrumptious smell of Honey I Washed The Kids) which tones your skin and cures your need for sweetness (until next time). The Ma Bar has been extended because you love it so much, you’ve made it a best seller.

North Pole

5 out of 5 rating

@lush North Pole soap
Made for one or two years as a limited edition Christmas soap in stores around 2009-2011 and on line.

It’s up for the vote in the July 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription Box.

5 out of 5 rating

The pink part is fragranced with a chocolately or cocoa, candyish fragrance, the white with a refreshing woody, minty fragrance.

I’ve added the second photo of the store version of it. In the stores it was a 6 inch wide x 2 feet pole. you could pick any piece you wanted; a huge round white slice or a huge pink slice or a piece with both pink and white. The store pieces were round, and the online or kitchen version rectangle.

It also came as a slice of the white part with a thinner pink part on top if you bought it online. The pink part smells a bit like a Peppermint Crisp bar, whilst the white part smells more like a mint flavoured rock candy. The original soap was a 6″ (or thereabouts) diameter pole shape that alternated between two Pink and two White sections.

Ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, Rapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Stearate, Perfume, Peppermint Oil, Cocoa Absolute, Cedarwood Oil, Cypress Oil, Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, tetrasodium Etidronate, Sodium Hydroxide, *Citronellol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Titanium Dioxide, Colour 17200

Lush Times: How else will Santa find his way to Lush without a North Pole soap to guide his way?! This is for everybody who love to wash with soap (and frankly, who doesn’t?) This soap is fabulous for people who like stimulating, refreshing showers – with just a hint of luxurious indulgent sweetness. One slice is never enough – so buy two! The pink is fragranced with a chocolately chewy fragrance, the white with a refreshing woody, minty fragrance.

Coconut Snow

4 out of 5

This not what i would call a coconut smelling body lotion. It’s not like the coco lotion from long ago. This me scent of this Lush Coconut Snow is a lemony floral. It’s got coconut cream in it. As a matter of fact it’s the first ingredient.

I got one in my Lush monthly subscription box

Update: As of December 2021 Lush has added Coconut Snow to our monthly subscription box. So i will be able to finally try this myself and take pictures and videos of it. Very soon, within two days. Yay!! i’m so surprised and excited!

This was a lotion previously only available in the Christmas 2020 Advent calendar gift box.

It’s made with Rose, Coconut and Lemongrass.

Diamond Dust

5 out of 5 rating

See my 2 minute Tub Demo/Review Video below

Diamond Dust

This is a new creation by Jack Constantine. It was made exclusively for the Lush Kitchen May 2021 Subscription Box.

It’s a slow melty kind of fizzer. It has the scent of the Lush ‘Inhale’ fragrance.

It’s pink and yellow with smatterings of purple. It’s got a diamond pattern on the surface of the bomb. It’s infused with diamond dust-fine, biodegradable gold glitter.

it makes the water an opaque, silky, creamy, peach colored water.

Infra Wig

4 out of 5 rating

see my 2 minute video of its consistency below

New for Spring 2021 in the Lush UK has introduced ‘Infra Wig’ soft styling gel. They’ve also introduced a second hair gel called just ‘Wig’, but they were out of ‘Wig’ when i was on the website.

Lush UK says Infra Wig is a ‘no crunch’ toning gel for white or gray hair. Gray or white hair, natural gray or dyed gray, has a tendency to turn yellowish depending on environmental factors.

Orange, Grapefruit, Vanilla, Lemon Myrtle, Tonka.

It has the scent of the Lush exclusive ‘Hair Dresser’s Husband’ spray perfume from 2010. Recently Lush UK rereleased this perfume in newly designed bottles.

I just took a pic of the Lush Hair Dressers Husband scent family.

Lush says you can use this on wet or dry hair, and it’s best to comb through hair but you can use your hands if you want.

i used it. It didn’t make my hair crunchy which is good.
