Lush introduced this bath bomb around 2008 or 2009. That’s when i had my first Twilight bomb. The name comes from the time there was a very popular new movie called ‘Twilight’.
When Lush first made their Twilight bath bomb it was very popular with Lushies, and its maintained the same popularity ever since.
Not only does it look like the night sky (twilight) with stars and moons on the outside of the bomb, it also makes two different colors in the tub as it dissolves; pink and blue, but it also has a beautiful silver shimmer in the water. The blue and pink eventually mix in the water to become a lavender color.
Then there is the scent. Its a genius mix of bright herbal fragrance of lavender which promotes relaxation and sleep but there is also Tonka bean which smells similar to vanilla bean but tonka is more of a caramely scent. Then lastly there is the lovely floral notefrom the ylang ylang flower. The twilight fragrance is only subtley sweet and comforting.
Its such a gorgeous scent that Lush has used in many other products that i’ll list below which they have made. I also show these products in my scent family photos below.
Lush has recently (in 2020) changed the name from Twilight to ‘Sleepy’. The reason they changed it may have somethibg to do with the movie’s copyright s.
But the President/CEO of Lush said that sleepy is the same scent as twilight, only the name has changed.
Lush Times: Everyone seems to be in love with twilight at the moment. Whether it’s the film series or that enchanting period betwixt day and night, we can’t work it out. If you’re stressed out and feeling like a member of the un-dead, this relaxing ballistic will stake all of your troubles and scatter them to the winds with scents of lavender and Ovaltine.
The Big Snow Fairy Roll is new. It’s a 1 kilo version of the Snow Fairy Roll. The ‘regular size’ Snow Fairy Roll is like two regular bubble bars and THIS Big SFR is even more huge.
Its the same size as this Big Comforter in my phoro below.
It has an array of colors inside this white bath bomb.
This has a citrus scent made with lemongrass, lemon and lime. Iys the same ecent as the Lush ‘You’ve Been Mangoed’ bath oil solid. Its not a sweet citrus scent. Its very tart.
4 out of 5 rating. my 2 minute Tub Demo Video is at the bottom of this page. I hope it helps.
I like this bubble bar. Mostly because one of my favorite lush products is Happy Blooming shower jelly, and this Screamo bubble bar was made with that same cherryish scent.
initially when i sniffed it i smelled a licorice kind of scent. But as i continued to sniff it i can definitely smell the Happy Blooming scent.
This bubble bar is very fragrant. It’s sweet and cherry.
This is a reusable type of lush bubble bar, not a regular, break it up with your hand squishy type of Lush bubble bar.
When i got it it had the stick to hold it but when i picked it up to use it the stick came out and a couple of small pieces broke off. I was like ‘oh no’ but it didn’t hurt anything i just held it in my hand instead.
Lush description: Giggle with a ghost whilst blowing cherry scented bubbles through the mouth of the scream. Swish the blower into the bath water to create purple bubbles that will bring joy to even the darkest of Halloween nights.
The wiggly nature of the jelly makes a great octopus 😄
Firstly, i was pleasantly surprised that this smells so good.
I figured it would be a scent already seen in a jelly. But its a great scent of passion fruit, black currant, vanilla and orange.
It smells like a fruit candy, but not in a fake candyish way. Its a natural sweet, fruity fragrance.
This afternoon I was told by Alessandro the Creator of this Lush Monster Octopus jelly that it’s “Not the scent of Very Very Frightening shower gel, It’s a new fragrance. Similar to the old passion fruit lip balm, but it’s actually new.”
I love the color! Red and purple are my favorite colors. Its got No glitter for anyone who is curious.
Ive discovered that the Octopus tentacles make it easier to hold on to when using it.
You can use it at room temperature, cooled in the fridge on hot days, or even frozen.
Ive used the other Lush jellies by slicing into small pieces and putting about a tablespoon in a plastic kitchen seive and hold the seive under the stream of water coming out of the bathtub faucet. And down below at water level in the tub it starts to make a light foam.
But with this here Monster Octopus jelly I just held the whole dang thing in the bath faucet stream. 😄 And it worked nicely.
Its also easier to hold the whole thing in the shower too to wash with it like a bar of soap.
This tentacled passion fruit scented jelly is not only fruity, bubbly and great fun to wash with but will dance with you too! Tango together in the tub and watch it wiggle, slide and jive as you wash.
Lush photo
How to use: Wibble and wobble the whole jelly over your body and hair for a skin-softening wash. Bonus tip: Slide the jelly across the tub to watch the octopus dance.
i have two videos below showing what the Lush shower slimes are like close up.
Made for the first time this year (as a limited edition) for the Lush Christmas 2021 holiday.
There is an Ectoplasm shower gel that Lush made for Halloween a couple of years ago. I thought this was a wonderful new citrus scent for Lush. I asked for a perfume of this. And i must have not been the only one because soon thereafter Lush made an Ectoplasm liquid spray perfume and a body spray. Lush also made a bath bomb called Ectoplasm first. And a few years ago Lush made a solid puzzle bath oil called Tree-D (a play on the words 3D).
So now Lush is making an Ectoplasm Slime.
The scent is very citrussy. It’s a different scent than all the many other Lush citrus scents. I absolutely adore it. This has an addictive, tart effervescent scent of grapefruit and tangerine. It smells like fizzy soda. Moreso than Bubble or Celebrate imo. Ectoplasm isnt as sweet as those.
My husband has a little UV light (or black light) and he pointed it towards the container and WOW!
I took a photo of the Ectoplasm productsEctoplasm body spray
Ectoplasm slime is the fourth slime that Lush has made. I’m going to attach videos of the other slimes that i bought when Lush made them. All 3 slimes have been exclusive and one was sold as a limited edition for Halloween. Two of them came out at the same time; ‘Brr’ and ‘Bam’. One was minty and one had the same scent as Lush ‘Nevermind the Ballistics’.
Lush also made a black slime with the snow fairy scent, and a pink slime with the snow fairy scent.
So the Ectoplasm slime will be the same consistency of these other slimed in the videos, only it will be highlighter green/yellow and it is fluorescent under black light.
This is a new exclusive bath bomb made for the August 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription box.
Lush New Exclusive bath bomb ‘The Lakes’. Inspired by Taylor Swift.
This has a brand new scent. It’s an earthy, incensed, green scent made with osmanthus, oak moss, myrrh, and siberian fir needle.
It’s a slow, melty foamy bomb. It’s a mint green with flecks of pink in it and fine silver shimmer in it.
The scent stays on my skin long after i dry off and get dressed. It’s a subtlety earthy, sensual scent.
I like this bomb. It’s a different color for Lush and a different scent. It’s not a sweet scent but an earthy green one. Kind of like the classic lush green scents.
