Barbie Bath

5 out of 5 rating

See my 1 minute Tub Demo Video below

When i opened the box of lush thst i bouggt, the smell was incredible. This bath bomb is partly responsible for the scrummy aroma wafting out of the box.

Lush has collabed with Barbie for the Barbie movie that just came out.

This bath bomb has a cocoa butter heart, its a naturally pink colored cocoa called ruby cocoa. It also has coconut milk, and coconut cream, and then it has Tonka as well, tonka always smells to me like a light creamy vanilla caramel.

The Lush Barbie bath bomb is a slow, foamy pink fizzer, with silver shimmer in the bomb and in the water.

New Lush Sugar Roll Facial Cleansers

4 out of 5 rating

Lush introduced some new products at their two superstores. including what Lush calls ‘Sugar Roll Cleansers’ for use on the face.

There are five kinds at the superstores as you can see in the picture at the top of this page. Lush uk decided to put these two of the five on their retail websites.

I got a couple from Lush USA since Lush uk couldn’t send this overseas in the heat. You can see the difference in the flowers between the Uk and the North American.ones.

You use them the same as the classic Lush Angels on Bare Skin facial cleanser.

Heres a video where i show you up close

The Lakes

4 out of 5 rating

This is a new exclusive bath bomb made for the August 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription box.

Lush New Exclusive bath bomb ‘The Lakes’.
Inspired by Taylor Swift.

This has a brand new scent. It’s an earthy, incensed, green scent made with osmanthus, oak moss, myrrh, and siberian fir needle.

It’s a slow, melty foamy bomb. It’s a mint green with flecks of pink in it and fine silver shimmer in it.

The scent stays on my skin long after i dry off and get dressed. It’s a subtlety earthy, sensual scent.

I like this bomb. It’s a different color for Lush and a different scent. It’s not a sweet scent but an earthy green one. Kind of like the classic lush green scents.

Here’s a link to my tub demo 😊

The Sicilian

Lush ‘The Sicilian’ bath bomb.
Made in the early 2000’s. Discontinued about four years later.

this is one of five products here that are up for the vote for the August 2021 Lush subscription box.

This bath bomb was always a staple for me, and probably becuase my favorite smell is the smell of fresh peeled oranges.

Its a fast fizzing bomb not a slow melting creamy one. no bath art. no glitter.

This is made with four different orange ingredients: Mandarin, Orange, Neroli, and Tangerine.
It also has marigold flower petals mixed in and an orange slice.

The reference comes from the book/movie ‘The Godfather’ which is about a mafia boss from Sicily (and one of my favorite movies). In it the director has something about oranges in every killing scene. 😊

Lush made asoap called Sunny Citrus which is in the same scent.

Lush 2005 Description: Why Sicilian? Well, we named it thus because of the organic Sicilian oranges we slice up and put inside each one and because its sunny colour and refreshing citrus scent remind us of the fruit trees in Sicily’s fertile valleys. We pack it with refreshing, uplifting orange, tangerine and mandarin oils to make us feel almost as good as if we were tootling around on a Vespa with the warm wind messing up our hairdo.

LT 2004: The Sicilian is a bath for brightening up dull days;even sunny days can appear dull when there’s nothing exciting to look forward to. If you know your’re going to spend all day in meetings, or in a room with no daylight or haivng tea with yoru dullest relative thake a Sicilian bath first. The reviving essential oils, made from Sicilian oranges, mandarins, tangerines and orange flowers will cheer you up so much you might actually find you enjoy yourself! Share citrus Sicilians with your co-workers and relatives and all your days will be summer.

Ginger body lotion

Lush ‘Ginger’ body lotion.

Ginger perfume is one of those products that lush started selling when they were called ‘Cosmetics To Go’ in the 90’s. It was VERY popular.

This is a pic of mine in the white pot, but now they’re in black pots.

Up for the vote for the August 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription Box.
Its made with rose, jasmine, ginger root. It’s a VERY floral scent. And a bitter floral, not a sweet scent.

There are around 12 Lush products that i have had over the years which were made in this same Ginger scent.

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with this scent. I used to like it a lot. But now i don’t. I love rose, i love jasmine and i love ginger root, so i’m not sure why i don’t like it. It’s VERY strong.

Do y’all like this scent? Or not so much?

Scrub Scrub Scrub

4 out of 5 rating

Scrub scrub scrub is one of two new scrubs that Lush uk has made for 2018.

As i said in my review video, i like using this scrub scrub scrub more than the new magic crystals scrub.

The color of magic crystals scrub is a prettier color but i like using scrub scrub more.

Although this one is drier and thus more challenging to use, it doesnt sting like the magic crystals scrub which is wetter and easier to apply.

I like this smell. Its not quite the Comforter scent.

Its got a vaguely fruity blackberry scent. I like the scent, its comforting.

It has currant in it, like the comforter but it doesnt have the same scent.

For starters, there’s no bergamot nor cypress in it like there is in the comforter.

Also, scrub scrub scrub has pine, rosemary oil, and Buchu oil, which the Comforter doesnt have.

Its got the same size scrubbies that magic crystals has. One is not coarser than the other.

If youre very fair don’t leave the scrub on your skin for very long.

I would give this scrub a 4 out of 5 rating.

I like other companies vegan, cruelty free scrubs better.

Here’s a video where i show it up close

Little Pot of Energy

5 out of 5 rating

This is a solid/naked, packageless body lotion exclusive to the LushLabs at lush.co.uk

While i did not like the previous naked body lotion ‘Once Upon a Time’ that lush made for Christmas 2017 because it was too greasy, this one, Little Pot of Energy, is different.

Its not oily nor greasy. Its a drier consistency than ive seen before. Almost how a dry deo goes on. Theres no tacky feeling when you apply it.

I like the smell. Its made with oranges and grapefruit, as i explain in my demo and review video below.

the bottom line is that this works for me. it moisturizes my skin without feeling oily, and it snells great.

i would actually use this everyday, and i might even buy another one.

Lush: Move mountains. Fight lethargy. Deliver a dose of vitalising citrus straight to the skin. It’s a bolt of lightening to the brain: a sweep of orange puree that’s electric sharp to sniff but smooth as butter on your body thanks to a base of Fair Trade Colombian cocoa butter. Supercharge your skin with a sweep of brightening orange and grapefruit pulp and reboot your mind with a perfume flavour so fresh you can nearly taste it. Motivation’s never been this mouthwatering.

List of ingredients

Orange Puree

Pink Grapefruit Puree

Almond Oil

Fair Trade Shea Butter

Japan Wax

Carnauba Wax

Grapefruit Oil

Not Sleepy shower bomb

I give this a 4 out of 5 rating.

This is one of the #LushLabs exclusive, limited edition shower bombs. Not to be confused with the Lush Labs new ‘Atmospheres’ shower gels.

This one of 10 completely different Lush shower bombs.

This is not to be confused with a Lush shower emotibomb, which is placed on the shower floor.

No, these shower bombs are for washing with.

I do a wet demo of it here in the 56 second video sink demo below.

Lush Labs at lush.co.uk has made four difderent kinds/scents of these new shower bombs; sleepy, not sleepy, karma, and kowataskaati.

This one, not sleepy, is for waking up. Its got lemon, lime and orange oils in it which are said to promote alertness and mental clarity.

After asking what the scent was i was told that Its a new scent that Mark Constantine made for this shower bomb.

The product is not cocoa butter based. It feels like a bath bomb. Maybe a firmer kind of bath bomb.

This will definitely last more than one shower.

The scent isn’t weak but its not very strong either.

The foam feels very nice. If you have sensitive skin just get some foam on your hands first, then apply to your body.

It rinses off very easily.

Then just towel yourself dry and thats it.

Its not gimmick-y, this seems to actually work with just adding water.

And its totally packageless.

Sleepy shower bomb

Wow. I’m going to give this a 5 out of 5.

Its not gimmicky, its a creamy foam consistency.

I pressed very hard on it when it was wet and it didn’t budge.  It’s not a ‘smooshy’ consistency. It’s firm, but what comes off of it slowly is foam.  It’s kind of like washing with the foam of a bath bomb, one of the creamier frothier bath bombs though.

This is nothing like their body conditioners, there’s no slippery, or goopy stuff in here.  No cocoa butter,  no oils.

Nor is this at all like their naked shower gels.

It doesn’t feel like it has cocoa butter in it (it doesn’t), and it smells good. It’s not too faint of a scent, but its not necessarily the strongest scented product either.

Its made with the Twilight scent.

It seems like one could certainly get multiple showers with this.  At LEAST two, maybe more.

I do a wet demo of this in my video below both in the shower and at the sink.

Under the Umbrella Tree

I would rate this bath bomb a 4 out of 5 rating.

This is a cute bath bomb.   I love the tree shape of it.

This was made with the Lush “Breath of God’ fragrance.

The fragrance is a combination of two Lush scents “Inhale’ and ‘Exhale’.

There are masculine notes such as cedar wood, sandalwood,, and feminine notes such as rose. Together they form the classic Breath of God fragrance, which Lush has sold since 2008. Men would like it but women would like it too It’s both earthy and airy in the same fragrance.

Lush has made a bath bomb In the past called “Inhale Exhale‘ with a similar fragrance.

The bath bomb is a fast fizzes and makes a beautiful, not often seen, lime green water.  So uplifting and hopeful, like Spring.

Lush Moods

On August 24 Lush Uk will introduce some new products under the title ‘Lush Moods’, in their stores.

Some of the things they’ll start selling at that time in uk stores include:

Vanillary body spray

Magic body scrub

Scrub Scrub Scrub

I’m not clear at this time if the new Lush Labs Shower bombs and packageless Atmospgere gels will be part of the store items or not. Ill be adding the new Atmosphere gels that i bought here on my blog in the next 24 hours

I’m also not clear on if lush plan on selling these on line or not.

My indie bath forages – part 3 The Mad Bombers Camp Crystal Lake Haul!

part 1 of my Indie bath and body vendor series is here.

Here is a haul video below that i recorded with a bath cocktail video made from all these products.

The scent of real marshmallow was the overriding note in this box. Yummy.

This is my first themed bath box.

I have heard of the Mad Bombers in my periphery but had never looked to see what they offer. Again, nothing against the Mad Bombers, i was just too knee deep in Lush to try any other company.

This changed when i saw a product from one of my favorite bath vendors fly past the screen, Bedazzle your skin, who has collaborated with The Mad Bombers on this box. The product i saw fly by my feed was two marshmallows on a stick that were toasted golden brown and even had a golden sheen to the golden edges.

Except that..it was a bubble bar.

I looked around wildly to make sure i actually saw it fly past my instagram feed.

I looked on the Bedazzled site…it wasnt there!

I looked on my feed again, it was..on the Mad Bombers feed? I scratched my head.

I looked closely at the name on the package and it DID say Bedazzled, not Mad Bombers. So why was it on THEIR site but not hers?

So i looked all over and realized that this marshmallow bubble bar product from Bedazzle your skin was only going to be included in a Mad Bombers collaborative theme box!

I was intrigued now.

I also noticed that there was a cookie from the black magic cakery in the box.

Thats it! I HAD to have it.

So i ordered the box. It retailed for 60.00 plus shipping.

I got it in approximately one week.

I took pics of all the contents and in a group photo as well.

Yo Mad Bombers, you got me, i’m hooked.

You had me at themed collab, and Sarahs marshmallows of carnage and a cookie sealed the deal.

The bath bomb lasted a long time, it smelled nice, and turned my bath a lovely bright orange peach color.

I smell like a giant marshmallow and my skin is so soft.

One thing to note, the soap isnt marshmallow scented. It has a WONderfully clean, green/aquatic scent! I like the soap ALOT in its own right.

Now i’m just waiting to see their next box. I just missed the Shark Week theme box though i eas able to get the ‘Dont get in the Water’ bomb and their Snow Cone bomb

How to use the summer camp spray in this box: spray on, let the alcohol dry down, now sniff the yummy UNfake marshmallow scent.

Yes.

Come at me Jason!

I *might* let you have a marshmallow and a bite of my cookie.

The next entry in this series is here.

Below are some photos i took of a bath i had with The Mad Bombers ‘Dont Get in the Water’ bomb made for shark week.
