Chris the Camel

5 out 5 rating

See my 3 minute Tub Demo Video below

This camel carries dates, just like he would in the middle east. Date syrup is one of the ingrdients in this yummy gingerbreadish, hot toddyish scented bath bomb for Christmas 2019.

Its got gold stars all over it which i love looking at as they float by in the water.

Chris looks remind me of a gingerbread cookie. I was surprised to see dark blue green and purple coming out of him in the water. What a beautiful and different color in a Lush bath bomb. I can totally appreciate that its such a different color for a Lush bath bomb.

As you can see in the video the three colors join to make an peridot colored water with golden sparkle. 😍

Sleepy Dusting powder and fairy Dust powder

4 out of 5 rating for both. See my demo video of them below.

This year Lush deconstructed the snow fairy sparkle jar and the twilight sparkle jars from last year and made two dusting powders and 2 sparkly highlighters instead.

The two powders this year are called Fairy Dust and Sleepy Dust.

Ive never really paid much attention to the Christmas dusting powders before because i always thought my money was better spent on bath bombs and bubble bars instead. But this year i splurged on both of the dusting powders.

Fairy dust has the same scent as snow fairy shower gel, magic wand bubble bar, and all those snow fairy scented products. And Sleepy dust has the same scent as Sleepy shower gel and Twilight shower gel and many other products. The ingredients are always Lavender, creamy oat milk, tonka and ylang ylang. Lavender to promote sleep.

One year onjy lush put The Sleepy Dust inside a hollowed out massage bar, which had a few shaker holes. They called it a ‘Sparkle Jar’.

Here is a pic of one of mine

Both have a sparkle to them. Theyre both strongly scented too!

The Sleepy Dust powder used to be called ‘Mr Sandman’ its in my photo below.

I sprinkle the powder anywhere on my body that i wanr to feel drier like under my boobs or the back of my neck. Under my arms, etc.

I also sprinkle it in our sheets on the weekends too, especoally sleepy. Its lavender scent is nice to smell as im drifting off to sleep.

Snow Apple

5 out of 5 rating.

See my Lush Christmas soaps video below.

This is a new soap for Christmas, and Lush made this soap in the popular ‘So White’ bath bomb scent. The scent is made with orange flower and smells just like a tart green apple! The fragrance actually makes my mouth water.

Its green with silver snow covering it, and it has a leaf on it just like a fresh picked apple. Its not conditioning. The scent is nice and strong and leaves a marvelous fresh scent of crisp apples on my skin.

One of my top favorites this Christmas!

Snow Fairy Amazeball

5 out of 5 rating.

See my Tub Demo Video of it in action below.

This is the second bath bomb this Christmas that has the Snow Fairy scent. Its a bright, fruity, pink scent.

I understand the Snow Fairy scent has been changed only slightly this year to include lime oil. It doesnt change the scent that much in my ooinion, it just makes it a bit brighter.

This is one of four different ‘Amazeballs’ this Christmas: Fly Me To The Moon, Holly Golightly, Don’t Let the Bells End, and Snow Fairy.

Each has a different color and scent.

This Amazeball, like the others, can be used one of two ways. I show how in my demo video.

Its hollow, and there is colored powder inside the hollow part which is a mixture of bath bomb dust and bubble bar mixture.

In two of the four amazeballs i couldn’t make the powder shake out no matter how hard i shook it. So your mileage may vary.

Snow Fairy made gorgeous dark pink water, was strongly scented and made the water like silk. Sparkly water too, lightly not TOO sparkly.

Holly Golightly Amazeball

4 out of 5 rating.

See my tub demo video below.

This is one four different Christmas bath bombs this year which have a complwtely new design. Fly Me To The Moon, Snow Fairy, Don’t Let the Bells End and Holly Golightly.

They are hollowed out bath bombs filled with a powder mixture which is half bath bomb and have bubbly mixture.

You can use it one of two ways. I show in my video.

Holly Go Lightly has a green holly leaf top. And it has green powder in it and some large, light green crystals.

Its made in the same scent as the Christmas bath tablet called Cinnamon Orange, and the shower gel and bath bomb called ‘Hot Toddy’, as well as a bubble bar called Holly Golightly, and a bath melt called snow man, etc. Its got orange oil and cinnamon.

The bubble bar of the same name, with the same scent.

In two of the four different amazeballs the powder wouldnt come out no matter how hard i shook it. But in two of them it did come out. So your mileage may vary.

The scent was very faint in this Holly Golightly. I couldnt even tell what it smelled like. Pity because i love the Lush Hot Toddy scent.

It makes a medium green colored wayer and has green silver glitter in the water.

Elf Bomb Bomb

3 out of 5 rating

See my tub demo below.

This Christmas Lush has brought back three bomb bombs, only theyve been redesigned to be more sturdy. The top and bottom fit together like puzzle pieces, instead of the precarious round version from last year which toppled off and broke usually.

Im glad for the redesign.

Elf bomb bomb is the green one and is made with grapefruit, cinnamon and ginger. Its an odd combinatuon but it works well. Its the same quirky scent as jilted elf jelly and the elf on a shelf fun bar from past Christmases.

In my tub demo.i used the top half so you could see what it looked like. And then i used the bottom half. But one could easily use the second half for another bath on another day.

The bomb bombs are fast fizzers which dissolve quickly. Elf makes beautiful emerald green water.

I just wish the scent were stronger.

Snow Apple

5 out of 5 rating.

See my Christmas 2019 soaps video below for more in depth descriptions.

This wins my vote for prettirst looking Christmas soap this year (though Shooting Stars comes close).

Its a silver apple. Gorgeous! Who doesnt want to see this at the sink in thw soap dish.

Its made me in the Lush So White scent.

Lush used to have an all white Christmas bath bomb valled So White. It was a white apple.

The scent is made with orange flower, bergamot, neroli and rose.

Its a bright, crisp green apple scent. The scent is fairly strong.

Wonderful!

Snow Fairy soap

5 out of 5 rating.

See my Christmas soaps video below.

This is the 2019 Snow Fairy soap. Every year Lush makes a different looking soap.

This year Snow Fairy soap looks very different. Its a snow flake! I love this new look from last years glittery Snow Fairy cold pressed soap.

Also different this year is the addotion of lime oil. This doesnt change the snow fairy scent it just makes it brighter.

Historically Snow Fairy isnt my favorite Lush scent. I found it kind of clyingly sweet. So the addition of lime makes it smell much nicer to my nose.

It seems to be a bit more conditioning than most of the other christmas soaps with the exception of butterbear.

This is the 2016 version

Lush Christmas Soaps

See my video showing and describing each soap in detail. I forgot Satsuma and Golden Pear which i have already reviewed here on my blog on their seperate pages. Both of those have a 5 out of 5 star rating.

Jingle Bells

5 out of 5 rating

See my tub demo video below.

The Jingle Bells bath bomb is new for Christmas 2019.

It’s made with the ‘Milky Bar’ soap and Milky Bar bubble bar scent. The scent is made with patchouli and orange oil. Its a comforting scent, like a warm blanket or fresh sheets.

It looks like a silver christmas bell, and it makes a jingly sound as well due to some salt crystals inside.

Initially i thought it was just a white colored bomb which would make white water.

Boy was i wrong! Soon i began to see a stripe of blue peek out.

Soon i began to see stark red and deep blue swirl about from the bomb! So pretty. What a surprise.

The blue and red continued to come out and filled the tub with gorgeous color.

The scent is nice and strong. Perfuming my skin in its wonderful fragrance.

Soon the water started to turn purple as the two colors combined.

There is no sparkle nor glitter.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this bath bomb.

Yog Nog bubble bar (2019)

5 out of 5 rating. see my ten minute tub demo video below.

This year’s Yog Nog bubble bar looks different than last year’s. Many of you were telling me that you were somewhat disappointed in the performance of last years nog nog bubble bar because you didn’t get very many bubbles as it was very moisturizing with cocoa butter and shea butter, etc.

Well this years Yog Nog also has lots of cocoa butter. It looks different than last year’s battenburg cake style bar. The 2019 bar looks like something you would find in the shire, or a Dr Suess book. Like someplace fairies would live.

It’s got white and gold stripes of mixture and something creamy in the middle. It’s got a gold dipped tip too.

I found this bar to be just as moisturzing as last year’s bar. Keep in mind that i have hard water. So keep that in mind whenever review bubble bars, hard water makes it more difficult to get a lot of bubbles than it does for people who have soft water in their home. So if you have soft water where you live you’ll get even more bubbles than i did.

This bar feels so luxurious when it’s dissolving in your hand under the water stream. You can feel all of the moisturizing butters. My skin is grateful for this.

It doesn’t have as strong of a yog nog scent as the shower gel though, nor as strong of a yog nog scent as last year’s bubble bar. I have one left over from last year and it smells stronger of yog nog than this new bar. The new one still smells of the caramely yog nog scent, just not as strong as i was expecting. That said i still give this bar a 5 out of 5 star rating, for looks and performance.

Its yellow gold and has gold glittery water.

Lush Silver Bells & Drummers Drumming jellies

4 out of 5 rating for both jellies. See my demo, description and reviews video below.

Since there are 70 products i asked my youtube subscribers and my instagram tv subscribers to choose which products to review next. The majority of folks chose tge jellies first. So im reviewing both silver bells and drummers drumming jellies here.

Silver bells has a new scent. It smells like fresh air, or snow, or fresh sheets. The scent is made with lime oil, orange oil and frankincense (olibanum). Its also got black sesame seed milk in it, which is different and interesting.

Silver Bells has a silver metallic sheen to it, wheras Drummers Drumming is yellow, not gold.

I find this to be more of a milky consistency as you can see in the video. Even so, it makes the same kind of lather that the Drummers Drumming and the Santa’s Belly do.

The scent of Drummers Drumming smells of peach juice. Very few (a handful only) Lush products over the last 20 years have peach juice in it.

I like it, its not too sweet but it does have a natural sweetness to it.

Its east to lather up with both of these jellies. And its easy to rinse off the jellies too. They rinse off clean and leave no kind of sticky residue or anything.

I show in the video how a teeny sliver of either jelly makes Tons of bubbles in the tub too!

Snow Fairy bath bomb

4 out of 5 rating

See my 3 minute tub demo video below

This year Lush has two different bath bombs with the same ‘Snow Fairy’ name. One is this one and one is the Amazeball called Snow Fairy. Both have the same scent but are completely different. The other one not shown here is all pink, is hollow and has a gold star shaped cap on it.

Its no secret that Snow Fairy scent is not my favorite. However i couldnt resist the beauty of it. I will say that im loving this Snow Fairy bath bomb much better than last years messy, slimey Snow Fairy jelly bomb. Dont you?

I love the bi-colored look of the white and pink. And its no secret that im a sucker for glitter. The glittery blue on the snowflake part of this bomb is so pretty.

This is a bath bomb that rocks back and forth and moves all around the tub. Not a slow, melty foamy fizzer. I like the liveliness of its movement.

And the end result is glittery pink water with that sweet and fruity, sparkly scent.

I think those that love the snow fairy scent will absolutely love this bomb.

I’m not a huge snow fairy fan, but I really liked the bath bomb a lot.  I like it more than any of the other versions or styles of snow fairy bomb in the past.

Fireball

4 out of 5 rating. See my 2 minute tub demo below.

This is a beautifully designed bath bomb with vibrant yellow, orange and red colors. Looks just like a fireball! Its also got a bit of gold glitter on the red part.

This bomb was made with orange oil, ginger, and mustard powder so its nice and warming on a cool winter’s night.

It was madecin the popular Lush ‘Cinders’ scent

Its both a fast, noisy fizzer And a slow, quiet melty fizzer. Plus its got popping cansy for that ‘crackling cinders in a fireplace’ sound.

The scent is nice, medium strong. If the scent were stronger i woukd give this a 5 out of 5 rating.

The end result is a bright orange water with just a very small bit of gold glitter in the water. Its not what i would call glittery water.

Luxury Lush Pud XL Bombshell

4 out of 5

This year not only does Lush have the returning Luxury Lush Pud for Christmas, but yhey also have this new XL Bombshell type of Luxury Lush Pud.

Its not as big and heavy as some of the past giant bombs like Mother Earth, Mother of Dragons and Intergalactic XXL which were a whoooing three times the size…but it is noticeably bigger. Its not as heavy as you would think because its hollow inside.

Like the other ‘bombshell’ type of bath bomb ‘Citrus bombshell’, ‘lavender bombshell’, etc. This has a clamshell effect of having to halves with filling in the middle hollowed out portion. In the case of Luxury Pud Bombsgell the filling are crystals. Pink Agar agar crystals and salt crystals. I love the look of this! Makes it look like a pink geode crystal.

In the bath it makes a lot of different noises whuch is fun. And this also has the round colored discs like its smaller counterpart.

So we can enjoy blue, yellow, green disces of melting bicarb floating amongst the pink/orange water.

This year Lush made this and the regular sized Luxury Pud in the scent of ‘The Comforter’, instead of the ‘Twilight’ scent that it had been in previous years.

I love the creamy multicolored foam.

I was disappointed in the scent however, or lack thereof. I expected this to smell more of the comforter than the regular sized one, not less than. Quite weak in scent unfortunately.

I wish the water became more pink at tge end instead of dark orange but all in all i liked bathibg with this bomb.

Fly Me To The Moon

5 out of 5 rating. See my tub demo video below to see it in action!

I’m so intrigued by these new Lush Christmas bath bombs, in order as they are in my photo above, called Amazeballs.), ‘Snow Fairy‘ (pink), ‘Don’t Let the Bells End’ (yellow), ‘Holly Golightly‘ (green), and Fly Me To the Moon’ (platinum ufo).

It was hard to decide which one i wanted to use (and demo) first. I chose Fly Me To the Moon….since i live in the same state as Roswell, New Mexico after all. 😉 When you take the top off its got purple bubble bar/bomb powder mixture inside.its scent is similar to ‘Nevermind the Ballistics’ from Christmas 2017. Its made with lime, orange and frankincense.

I like the platinum shimmer on the outside of it.

I also like the purple bath bomb/bubble bar combo powder inside that is partcular to Fly Me to the Moon.

You can either sprinkle the powder under running water and it will become frothy or you can put the whole rhing in the tub with the powder inside of it.

Its a slow, foamy fizzer. Once it starts dissolving It turns into something that looks like dessert. Like vanilla blackberry ice cream.

It also has glitter in ghe water.

I like everything about this bomb. The design. The innovation. The colors, and the scent. And the performance.

Video demo

Lush products in this same scent are Nevermind the Ballistics, Tunnel of Love soap, Fun For All the Family bubble Spinner.

Candy Cane toothpaste jelly

4 out of 5 rating. See my demo and review of it.

I’ve tried many Lush toothy tabs, mouthwash tabs and even regular toothpastes in a tube from their sister company B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful. And this is my favorite tooth product.

It’s creamy, sweet and minty just like a real candy cane. Its a tiny bit thinner than a regular toothpaste but only a bit.

As i show in my video its easy to get some on your toothbrush.

It gives that minty ‘oooh’ feeling when you breath in. It isnt gritty and therefore is good as a sensitive teeth tootbpaste. It has no fluoride, and i explain the benefits of this in my video.

If your on the fence i would suggest you get one of these. You wont be disappointed.

Christmas Retro Tree, Cinnamon Orange, Snowman bath oil tablets

3 out of 5 rating. See my demo video below.

Snowman (lemon, lemon myrtle and mint)
Orange (cinnamon, orange, Hot Toddy)
Winter Night (Furze)
Merry Christmas (orange-Berry Berry Christmas shower gel scent)
Anise (Ginger-yuk)
Iron Harvest (lavender and oats, same scent as Dreamtime bath oil, et al)
Dragon’s Temple (Same as Delight bath oil, pepper, lime)
St Basil (Jungle)
Retro Tree (Floating island)
Amelie Kringle (Candy Fluff)

.

Each has its own fragrance and each are made with different ingredients, all are made with cocoa butter and murumuru butter.
some have scents that Lush has used in other products.

These were first introduced in the Lush Labs website as ‘bath baubles’ months ago. At that time i purchased a couple of each. There were 10-12 different ones.

For Christmas 2019 Lush has reintroduced some of the 10-12 bath baubles as ‘bath tablets’. Basically theyre solid bath oils. Similar in ingredients to the regular, smaller, round solid bath oils that Lush sells all year round in stores and on line. The small round solid bath oils float on top of the water and are shimmery with bright, vivid colors.

These bath tablets are similar in ingredients to those but are flat and rectangular, also being quite a bit larger.

Theyre made with cocoa butter and various other nut and fruit butters. They are moisturizing. These tabkets dont float however. They just sink to the bottom. They just fail to put on the dazzling show of the small round bath oils.

These bath tablets also dont color the water very well. In my demo video i used a whole one and the water was barely colored.

These larger, solid bath oils tablets also make the tub very slippery if youre not careful.

They make my dry skin feel moisturized. And some of them are in scent families that i quite like. Thats about all i can say. While they look cute before use, and smell good, they just don’t excite me.

Year before last, for Christmas, lush had the ‘Snow Fall’ solid bath oil. It was round, white, simmery, had the most glorious winter scent and looked like actual white powdery snow falling in the water. Now THAT was very nice.

Ill take the smaller, round bath oils any day over these bath tablets.

The Snowman is lemony. Why not minty?

Galaxy lip scrub

5 out of 5 rating. See my review, demo video below.

Galaxy
Lip scrub

This smells just like blue raspberry slushee. I like this Galaxy even more than the Lush Pumpkin Spice lip scrub!

Great color. If im not mistaken this is rhe first blue lip scrub lush has ever made.
