Lush will be revisiting their ‘naked’ shower gels by making four new naked shower gels exclusive and limited edition in July 2026. The video describing them is on the lush uk youtube channel. From the description that Finley gives, they are creamier. There will be 4 shower gels ‘Brilliance’, ‘Resiliance’, ‘Take Action’, and ‘Inspired’. Additionally there will be two naked shower gels for the upcoming Christmas holiday but they didn’t want to say what they were, yet.

Naked, means solid, not liquid, products which were containerless. The containerless part was the primary point for Lush. They wanted to come up with something that was less waste than containers. As Lush is always improvising their products to be earth friendly.

In 2017-2018 Lush made 7-9 different types of products into solid form. shower gels, body lotions, body conditioners, shower oils, facial care, shampoo and conditioners, makeup, and dusting powder/massage bar combos.

Below are some that i’ve bought and took pictures of throughout the years that i enjoyed very much.

I was one of very few lushies that enjoyed them. The majority of the lush community Did NOT like them. Particularly the shower gels. Many people couldn’t understand what the difference was between these solid shower gels and soap. Additionally Many people brought up that storage was an issue as the color of the product would transfer onto surfaces that they were kept on in the bathroom. Also, Many said they didn’t seem sanitary because eanyone could put their hands all over them in the stores.

I was VERY MUCH a minority because i liked them. While i did agree with some of the issues others brought up, i liked using them more than the liquid counterparts. Particularly the lotions, and shower gels. The lotions were less greasy than their liquid counterparts. I loved the texture of the naked body lotions.

The naked shower gels came in small, medium and large size. They seemed to be more concentrated, more conditioning and had a more concentrated scent than the liquids.

Yog Nog naked shower gel was amazing.

Antiope naked shower gel. Another shower gel like Tender is the Night naked shower gel below that had no liquid shower gel counterpart. And there wasn’t a scent family for this. This was the only product is this incredible and awesome scent. I bought two medium.

Ectoplasm naked shower gel glowed in that dark.

These below are the Tender is the Night naked shower gel. Very exclusive. Firstly, there was never any such thing as a shower gel in the Tender is the Night scent. Just the massage bar. And this was only in naked form, no liquid form. I bought two large ones.

The body conditioners also had a naked counterpart.

And the body lotions also had naked counterparts. a few not shown here.

There were naked facial care products; cleansers, facial oils, serums, toners, moisturizers, exfoliates

There was naked makeup. Any container that were associated with these were made from paper only, as compared to their other non-naked makeup.
