Lush Floral Bombshell

5 out of 5 rating. Really i.should give this a 6 if there were such a thing.

See my 3 minute Tub Demo video below

In 2018 Lush put on their huge yearly Creative Showcase event where they get to show attendees what cool and inovative products they’ve invented over the last year.

One of the rooms thete had the ‘Bombshells’. A place where fresh flowers and plants grow and fruits and giant hollowed out bath bombs were displayed.

There were four different kinds of these giant bombshells. Citrus, Seaweed, Floral and im not sure of the Pink One’s name yet. Ive used and reviewed all but the seaweed one, i still have that one left. The others are here

This here is the Floral Bombshell.

They have two halves which are seperate and you can put fresh flowers or fruits inside and close the other half on top so it’s like a shell.

Heres my 3 minute tub demo video

Two different colors, and two different textures. It was like bathing in a beautiful watercolor painting. Soft and pretty, ever so slightly sweet floral scent. very light Glitter. 5 out of 5 rating. They were £18.00 i wish i had two or three more of these. I like all the different Lush bombshells but this is my favorite one thusfar.

There is a creamy, pink layer over the periwinkle blue water layer, which makes it look and feel as if im bathing in a beautiful watercolor painting.

I wish i would have bought two or three more. This is amongst those small number of Lush bath bombs that are so big, good or otherwise special that they belong above the 5 out of 5 rating vath bombs. Floral Milk is one of those.

Blackberry Bomb

4 out of 5 rating See my 1 minute tub demo video below.

This is a remake of a discontinued but very long running bath bomb.

It was actually made and sold before Lush was called Lush, back when they were a company called ‘Cosmetics To Go’. Back then it was wrapped in black and hsd a fuse hanging out, making it look just like a tiny TNT bomb. I show a photo i took of the Cosmetics To Go catalog with a picture of blackberry bomb and i also have two later designs of it on top of the catalog page

December 2018 Lush uk (who own Lush Japan) opened a new Lush concept store in the Harajuku area of Japan. They redesigned some bath bombs in addition to adding 100 new bath bombs.

So they redesigned Blackberry Bomb to look more like a blackberry shape.

In this store Lush are making 35+ new bath bombs exclusive to this store. However, Lush Uk has offered 11 of them to anyone who can regularly order from their online retail site at lush.co.uk including us here in the USA. Blackberry Bomb is one of these 11 exclusive, limited time bath bombs.

I stock up on this bomb. It would be perfect if it was a slower fizzing bomb with glitter and a bit more multi-colored bath art. Nitpickiness on my part. That’s the only reason this isn’t a 5.

blackberries from my garden.

Blackberry bomb has a fruity scent. It smells berryish; hence the name Blackberry.

It doesnt have blackberry in it. It does have bergamot and frankincense in it. In addition to smelling fruity It also smells perfume-y. That’s from the frankincense. i like frankincense because it reminds me of christmas incense.

Gotta love that purple water.

Here is a photo ive taken with allthe Lush products made throughout the years with the same scent.

Lush made the Abracadabra bubble stick in this scent

2006 Lush Times description: The Blackberry Bath Bomb has a deliciously fruity scent, seasoned with a smattering of frankincense, traditionally used to relieve nervous tension, calm stress and to help you cut ties with the past. Bergamot essential oil is said to inspire confidence and relieve depression. Why not use one to blast all the negativity, whish is topping you from getting out there and getting on with it? Use our happy blackberry bombs in the morning to blow away sad thoughts and launch you into a bright new day full of unlimited potential. It’s the season to pick one.

Lush American Cream scent family photo

American Cream is a vanilla based scent which also has clary sage, and lavender as its scent components.  The hair conditioner added strawberry.  The other American Cream products have strawberry in them…but….American Cream products do not smell like strawberry.  It’s made with strawberry, it’s not strawberry scented. And in the perfumery industry there IS a difference between those two sentences. :-)I like to make that clear, so that people won’t spend their hard earned money on something that they think will be strawberry scented, only to be disappointed when it’s not.

And rest assured Lush doesn’t claim the American cream scent smells like strawberry either.  I know because I’ve talked the the owner of lush about this very thing.

Now, onto what it DOES smell like, to most people, including myself.  It smells like creamy vanilla, with a light whiff of herbal clary sage and a pinch of herb-y lavender.

Below i’ll list what is shown and what isn’t shown in my photo above.

From newest to oldest.

Marshmallow World

4 out of 5 rating

See my 2 minute tub demo below

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs. One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is Marshmallow World.

Its made with the popular scent of a Lush hair conditioner called ‘American Cream’, which is an herbal vanilla blend.

It’s made with strawberries for their skin properties , not for the primary scent. The scent is sage-which is a bitter herb-and vanilla, and we all know what vanilla smells like. So put bitter herbs and vanilla together with a bit of lavender, which is even more of an herbally flower, and you have the American Cream scent.

I like to stress this fact that it doesn’t exactly smell like strawberry because i always see disappointed people writing lush comments like ‘but it doesnt smell like strawberries like some of your other strawberry scented things’.

Now, what this bomb looks like. 😍

Marshmallow World is such a pretty bomb on the outside, with lovely pink and having purple and yellow striations. It pooks like an unfamilair but fun planet.

It fizzes and makes a baby pink foam and turns the water a light pink color. This bomb must have somethung special in it which is softening to the skin. It feels moisturizing a bit.

What a beautiful scent. While American Cream scent isn’t my favorite, i don’t hate it either by any means. Its a calming scent to me. I think its quite a meditative scent..with a teaspoon of yumminess thrown in.

Lush has made three other bath bombs in the past years with the American Cream scent with different names. But i must say this is the prettiest version.

It doesnt make full-on bath art per se, but it is still beautiful as it fizzes in the tub.

I would stock up on these like i did with some of the other community favorites/Japan store bombs like ‘Tender is the Night’, ‘The Comforter’, ‘Melusine’, and ‘Golden Pear’.

If youre an American Cream lover than i suggest you stock up on these limited edition beauties!

Lush description: Indulge in a sugar bath scented with American Cream – you’ll get all of the sweet-shop glee and none of the post-binge guilt. Vanilla scented with a touch of strawberry, this multi-coloured marvel is a fiesta of fizz. Marshmallow powder soothes and softens, while granulated sugar adds a sugary flourish, you’ll smell good enough to eat!

Not Lush but omg this bath bomb!

I bought this bath bomb from https://www.bedazzledbath.com along with other things in yet another haul i bought from this young woman.

She is so young and she’s SLAYING the bath bomb game in my opinion.

I have a page alllll about this company with photos ive taken of some her other products ive bought and used from Sarah.

She never disappoints.

I have a rating system below that i do on my other non-Lush instagram account and this company consistently gets all ‘5’s’.

180g size.

It has a gorgeous array of pink and violet.

The scent smells is really pretty, a perfect fruity scent.

I would rate this a 5 out of 5 rating

How it smells; great! 5

How it made my skin feel; good 5

Bath Art designs while it was fizzing; great! 5

Golden Pear bath bomb

5 out of 5 star rating. see my 2 minute tub demo below.

Oh. My. Goodness.

Firstly, Golden Pear is almost too pretty to use. Thats why i bought six.

Or at least thats what I’m telling people 😉

Yes, its THAT good. It’s creamy, rich and fragrant.

I heard from a few people on my instagram who said they liked Golden Pear but would love it more if they didnt have to smell that initial somewhat odd first note. Trust me when i say there is no odd note in the Golden Pear bath bomb.

You’d be surprised at HOW good this smells. Please dont buy just one. You’ll be sorry.

Just like their Golden Pear soap, this bath bomb has a layer of cocoa butter sandwhiched in the middle of this golden, fizzing beauty.

Even though there is a slight dusting of gold on the outside of the bomb, the water isn’t glittery. So those of you who dont like glitter will enjoy this!

I love the peach golden colored water.

And the water is more opaque and its more moisturizing too, whivh my dry skin enjoyed!

In my opinion there’s nothing not to love about this bath bomb.

Here’s my 2 minute tub demo.

The Comforter bath bomb

5 out of 5 rating

See my 2 minute Tub Demo below

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs. One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is The Comforter.

The scent is supposed to smell like the popular ‘Comforter’ bubble bar and shower gel. Its a berryish scent made with black currant (cassis) and bergamot. These combine to make a lushious, slightly fruity scent.

Lush used to sell in store a Comforter shower cream and they currently sell a large pink and white swirly bubble bar. Lush also made an exclusive perfume and sold it at lush.co.uk once

Lush Description:

Fizzing fast to create fruity foam of purple, pink and white, this cloud-like ball of cassis will help you unwind before you hit the hay. A merry berry blanket of blackcurrant comforts and a burst of brightening bergamot oil refreshes and resets the mind. Meanwhile, soothing cypress oil ushers in a tide of comfort and joy.

It doesnt have the acrid note that some of the comforter products have. This bomb has nothing but a smooth, slightly sweet creamy cassis and bergamot note.

It seems to have an almost vanilla-like note as well.

The deep pink is gorgeous with the undulating, glittery sparkle.

Melusine

5 out of 5 rating See my 2 minute tub demo of this gorgeous bath bomb below 🙂

According to Wikipedia

Melusine (French: [melyzin]) or Melusina is a figure of European folklore and mythology(mostly Celtic), a female spirit of fresh water in a sacred spring or river. She is usually depicted as a woman who is a serpent or fish from the waist down (much like a mermaid). She is also sometimes illustrated with wings, two tails, or both.

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs.

One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is this Melusine.

This bomb was made with their fan favourite ‘Avocado Co Wash shampoo’ scent. Its made with litsea cubeba, which is a lemony smelling herb. Reminds me of lemon grass. Its also got frankincense (olibanum), which has also always smelled lemony at times to me.

Altogether Its more of a sweet and sour citrus scent. Its a strong scent.

Description; If you’re feeling like a nervous wreck, drop Melusine a line. This mesmerising mermaid bath bomb is sure to make waves. Sweet lemony litsea cubeba and cheerful bergamot oil lift your senses, while olibanum will have you floating in no time. Finally a pinch of carrageenan extract hydrates the skin, delivering a hefty dose of vitamin sea. Watch as your cares drift away.

Because its a slower, foamier type of bomb, which lends tomy relaxation, and also because of the beautiful color and glitter, and the fact that the fragrance is good and strong in this bath bomb-i give it a 5 out of 5 rating.

Lush also made an exclusive perfume ‘Avocado Wash’ and sold it at lush.co.uk
