Bathos

5 out of 5 rating

See my 4 minute tub demo video below

Roses are red, violets suit you

Sink into the lilac-hued waters of this floral classic. Posies of violet and spicy clove fragrance and soften your skin. The Ancient Greeks used violets in love potions and considered it a symbol of fertility and love – why not be seduced by this sweet, purple bath?

Before this bubble bar existed there was a liquid bubbke bath called Bathos which had the same scent as the bubble bar that came later but the liquid one was dark green. And before that they had a bath bomb called Bathosphere around 1999 or so which was green and had the same scent.

You’ll love this if you like:

– Swirly purple-hued baths that smell like violet flavoured sweets.

– The scent of Daddy-O shampoo, Sugar Daddy-O solid conditioner, or Kerbside Violet perfume. – Taking time to appreciate the small, fleeting moments in life.

Benefits:

– Violet leaf has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects on the skin.

– The scent of violets help to settle your mood and mind, aiding restful sleep.

– Ylang ylang oil helps to reassure and uplift, leaving you feeling happy and carefree.

How to use: Crumble under running water to fill your bath with purple rain and fluffy white bubbles. How to store: Keep in a cool, dry place to keep this potent bubble bar ultra-violet.

The classic spicy “Bathos” bubble bar gives great looking, deep purple water. It has the strong scent of sweet violets and spicy cloves. Barthes is VERY fragrant.  There’s also a teeny bit of dark green glitter on the top. This bubble bar can stand alone without being combined with anything, however, if one wanted a violet theme you could use a violety “Ne Worry Pas” ballistic, wash my hair with the violet smelling “Daddyo”, rub some “Choco La La” massage bar on, and condition my hair with “Retread”.

Lush has made a liquid Bathos bubble bath in the past. It’s green. I’ll add that to my blog tomorrow.

Sometimes I like to go the “all purple” route,  too and have Bathos with a Lush Jingle Spells  bath bomb or a Lush Blackberry Bomb.

By the way, here’s a picture of a Bathos that is 5 years old. The dates on the wrapper there http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/lush-a-lot/lush%20products/Lushbatho1.jpg I found it at the bottom of one of my lush tupperware tubs.

Lush made a liquid Bathos bath foam previous to it becoming this purple bubble bar slice. It was a green bath foam, not purple like the bubble bar. Here’s a picture of the Bathos Bath Foam: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/lush-a-lot/LushBathosbathfoamsml-1.jpg

Here’s a demo video i made

Lush Times 2006 Description: If you prefer to keep your bath to yourself and wouldn’t dream of allowing anyone else anywhere near the bathroom when you’re in there naked, please don’t allow the following suggestion to detract from your enjoyment of a bubbly, mauve Bathos bath. If you prefer to share your bath for reasons of ecological soundness or just plain fun, then Bathos is absolutely ideal! We make it with some of most sensual, relaxing essential oils on the planet, including lots of violet leaf which is reputed to help people remember why they got together in the first place. Don’t put one of these in the bath in the morning on a workday. Save it for later.

Turmeric Latte

5 out of 5 star rating

Lush introduced this bath bomb alongside 33 other bath bombs at their concept store in Harajuku Japan.

This bomb is SO lushious, creamy andcomforting to bathe in. Just like bathing in a real turmeric latte with golden milk.

5 out of 5 star rating. A Turmeric latte is not like a regular American latte like we have here in the U.S. Alot. A turmeric latte is made with golden milk, not coffee or chocolate. So its not chocolatey, its not coffeeish, not earthy, not spicy. More ‘comforting’ kind of like Butterball, but not butterball exactly. I hope that helps.

yummy.

This is a slow fizzing bomb. It almost made my mouth water with its unfurling cream and golden lustre.

The water feels creamy like golden milk.

I love playing with it and smearing some of the latte froth on my arms.

I couldnt stop looking at this huge bubble that cropped up, it lasted forever!

This is what i call a luxurious bath.

If you havent already, do yourself a favor and find a creamy turmeric latte to drink.

There are even mixes.

The glitter was mesmerizing.

Hear tell Lush is going to be making some super special shower gels soon for us to buy, and Turmeric Latte is rumoured to be one of them! Lets hope so! I cant imagine how creamy and lushious it will feel.

See this swirling creamy delight in action in my 4 minute tub video with music to relax you

Shijimi Butterfly

5 out of 5 rating. See my 2 minute recorded bath demo of it below.

This beautiful bath bomb is one of five butterflies that Lush has made for the grand opening of tge Lush Liverpool Biggest store in the world, and for the opening of the New Lush concept store in Harajuku Japan.

Shijimi is to promote sleep and relaxation, being made with lavender and chamomile.

It smells like the Lush ‘Ickle Baby Bot’ bomb.

Shijimi has layered blue and black colors and light glitter here and there in just the black part.

This is a slow, foamy type of fizzer.

While its not my favorite of the five butterfly bombs it is the best one for sleepy time.

I would suggest this bomb, especially if you like lavender.

here is a 2 minute tub demo of Shijimi Butterfly in my tub.

Deep Sleep

5 out of 5 rating. See my 2 minute bath demo video below

A subtley sweet lavender and chamomile scent. An Herbal but slightly sweet scent.

Its great to promote relaxation and sleep.

I asked how to use it and was told that it goes in wrapped because when the bath bomb dissolves lots of lavender and chamomile flowers are left in the bag so it acts as a tea bag for soaking in the tub.

It’s makes the water a gorgeous, jewel-like purple color. No glitter.

My skin feels soft but not overly moisturized.

Deep Sleep makes for Very luxurious feeling.

I soaked for a long time in this awesome bath. I love this bath bomb.

I love how dramatic it looks while being relaxing at the same time.

I would recommend buying one. In fact i would recommend buying two if budget will allow.

Blackberry Bomb

4 out of 5 rating See my 1 minute tub demo video below

This is a remake of a discontinued but very long running bath bomb.

It was actually made and sold before Lush was called Lush, back when they were a company called ‘Cosmetics To Go’. Back tgen it was wrapped in black and hsd a fuse hanging out, making it look just like a tiny TNT bomb.

Recently, in December 2018 Lush uk (who own Lush Japan) opened a new Lush concept store in the Harajuku area of Japan.

In this store Lush are making 35+ new bath bombs exclusive to this store. However, Lush Uk has offered 11 of them to anyone who can regularly order from their online retail site at lush.co.uk including us here in the USA. Blackberry Bomb is one of these 11 exclusive, limited time bath bombs.

I stock up on this bomb. It would be perfect if it was a slower fizzing bomb with glitter and a bit more multi-colored bath art. Nitpickiness on my part. That’s the only reason this isn’t a 5.

Blackberry bomb has a fruity scent. It smells berryish; hence the name Blackberry.

It doesnt have blackberry in it. It does have bergamot and frankincense in it. In addition to smelling fruity It also smells perfume-y. That’s from the frankincense. i like frankincense because it reminds me of christmas incense.

Gotta love that purple water.

Here is a photo ive taken with allthe Lush products made throughout the years with the same scent.

2006 Lush Times description: The Blackberry Bath Bomb has a deliciously fruity scent, seasoned with a smattering of frankincense, traditionally used to relieve nervous tension, calm stress and to help you cut ties with the past. Bergamot essential oil is said to inspire confidence and relieve depression. Why not use one to blast all the negativity, whish is topping you from getting out there and getting on with it? Use our happy blackberry bombs in the morning to blow away sad thoughts and launch you into a bright new day full of unlimited potential. It’s the season to pick one.

The Comforter bath bomb

5 out of 5 rating

See my 2 minute Tub Demo below

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs. One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is The Comforter.

The scent is supposed to smell like the popular ‘Comforter’ bubble bar and shower gel. Its a berryish scent made with black currant (cassis) and bergamot. These combine to make a lushious, slightly fruity scent.

Lush used to sell in store a Comforter shower cream and they currently sell a large pink and white swirly bubble bar. Lush also made an exclusive perfume and sold it at lush.co.uk once

Lush Description:

Fizzing fast to create fruity foam of purple, pink and white, this cloud-like ball of cassis will help you unwind before you hit the hay. A merry berry blanket of blackcurrant comforts and a burst of brightening bergamot oil refreshes and resets the mind. Meanwhile, soothing cypress oil ushers in a tide of comfort and joy.

It doesnt have the acrid note that some of the comforter products have. This bomb has nothing but a smooth, slightly sweet creamy cassis and bergamot note.

It seems to have an almost vanilla-like note as well.

The deep pink is gorgeous with the undulating, glittery sparkle.

Melusine

5 out of 5 rating See my 2 minute tub demo of this gorgeous bath bomb below 🙂

According to Wikipedia

Melusine (French: [melyzin]) or Melusina is a figure of European folklore and mythology(mostly Celtic), a female spirit of fresh water in a sacred spring or river. She is usually depicted as a woman who is a serpent or fish from the waist down (much like a mermaid). She is also sometimes illustrated with wings, two tails, or both.

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs.

One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is this Melusine.

This bomb was made with their fan favourite ‘Avocado Co Wash shampoo’ scent. Its made with litsea cubeba, which is a lemony smelling herb. Reminds me of lemon grass. Its also got frankincense (olibanum), which has also always smelled lemony at times to me.

Altogether Its more of a sweet and sour citrus scent. Its a strong scent.

Description; If you’re feeling like a nervous wreck, drop Melusine a line. This mesmerising mermaid bath bomb is sure to make waves. Sweet lemony litsea cubeba and cheerful bergamot oil lift your senses, while olibanum will have you floating in no time. Finally a pinch of carrageenan extract hydrates the skin, delivering a hefty dose of vitamin sea. Watch as your cares drift away.

Because its a slower, foamier type of bomb, which lends tomy relaxation, and also because of the beautiful color and glitter, and the fact that the fragrance is good and strong in this bath bomb-i give it a 5 out of 5 rating.

Lush also made an exclusive perfume ‘Avocado Wash’ and sold it at lush.co.uk

Yuzu and Cocoa bath bomb

3.5 out of 5 rating. See my 1 minute tub demo below

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs. One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is this Yuzu and Cocoa.

The scent is supposed to smell like Yuzu which is a asian citrus fruit. And they add powdered cocoa to the mix.

Lush used to sell in store a Yuzu and Cocoa shower cream and a Yuzu and Cocoa bubble bar. Lush also made an exclusive perfume and sold it at lush.co.uk once

This does have glitter. It has something in it that seems to be somewhat conditioning to my skin also.

The scent is nice and strong.

When i compare it to the other exclusive bath bombs it isnt one of my favorites. But it is good.

if you like all things in this scent i would recommend it.

Honey I Washed the Kids bath bomb

3.5 out of 5 rating

See my 1 minute tub demo video below

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs. One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is Honey I Washed the Kids.

Its got a strong fragrance of bergamot, and orange oil and other goodies so that it winds up smelling like toffee. Its a very popular scent that Lush has used in many different bath bombs and othrr products in the past.

Lush used to sell a bath bomb in all their stores called ‘Honey Bee’ which was HIWTK scented. However it was discontinued in 2016. It was a pale color. It wasnt a bright yellow color like this Japan exclusive bomb.

And the Christmas ‘Shoot For rhe Stars’ has the same scent just a different look. I once used them both together in my bath.

This bath bomb doesnt have any glitter. It has something in it that seems to be somewhat conditioning to my skin. The red geometric shaped design on the bomb seem to be little bath oils.

The scent is nice and strong.

When i compare it to the other exclusive bath bombs it isnt one of my favorites. But it is good.

if you like all things in this scent i would recommend it.

Lucky Cat

3 out of 5 rating. See my 2 minute tub demo video below.

I assumed this woukd be a 5 star bath bomb just because of the way it looks; pink, cat, glitter. However, the pink color is only on the outside. The bath bomb itself is a peach, yellow/tan color. The pink color comes off as soon as the bomb enters the water, perhaps by design.

The problem comes when the pink powder sticks to the tub or your skin, as it did mine.

Upon investigating I read a LOT of complaints about this on both the Lush USA retail website reviews and the Uk retail website reviews of Lucky Cat bath bomb.

So thats why i dropped this gorgeous looking bath bomb to a 3 rating.

As i mentioned in my video i failed to take my own advice and add a squeeze of shower gel to my bath water before dropping the bomb in. So i wod up having to scrub and use bleach after my bath.

The smell is a great floral scent that is somewhat fruity and somewhat sweet. Pity about the color.

this bomb makes the water a pale tan color as you can see in my video

Tender is the Night

bath bomb from the Lush Japan Kitchen. see my 3 minute tub demo video below

This bath bomb was made with the scent of the Lush massage bar ‘Tender is the Night’.

Its made with Vanilla, ylang ylang and jasmine.

Ylang ylang, a known aphrodisiac, tumbles into vanilla absolute to restore brightness and softness to skin, while floral jasmine absolute flirtatiously interweaves a deeper, sweeter note. Lush Golden Pear, Zing and Parma Violet mouthwash tabs

i show them all together in this video

These New mouthwash tabs are different than the toothy tabs and are upcoming new for the new upcoming all naked store in Japan. This new store will be the second all naked store, the first one being in Milan, Italy.

These are naked, portable mouthwash. Im not at a sure if they will be sold in this same kind of container – because i just got these from Lush for the creative showcase as a gift. So they were put in these bottles for me to travel with.

Heres a photo of my Lush toothy tabs and mouthwash tabs.

How you use them is you take one and put it in your mouth and start to nibble it between your teeth. Take a swig of water and then swish around the mouthwash tab and water in your mouth for a minute then spit out.

My favorite were the golden pear and the zing, but all of them worked well when i tried them.

I will also do individual demos and reviews of these next week.

Hulder

5 out of 5 rating.
Hulder is a scandinavian mythological creature. Its akin to a siren or a mermaid. It’s part animal part human.

check out my tub demo below of this glittery gorgeous bomb.

This is an exclusive bath bomb shown at the Lush uk Creative Showcase event in England September 23 & 24.

I took some video footage of hulder at the Lush showcase for you. I also recorded a tub demo video for you, And i also took photos of mine in the tub.

Lush also sold iron on patches of the exclusive bombs at the showcase event.

We were able to buy one only once per day and only for one hour when the magic bus opened. But first-One had to see the secret count down signs that were placed throughout the event to let us know when and where. It was a fun game.

Eventually these six exclusive bath bombs will only be sold in Lush Japan’s first all ‘naked’ Lush store, which is slated to open in 2019.

Hulder is my favorite of the six bombs bevause of the way it looks and the way it smells.

The scent is very different, in a good way. It smells floral and earthy with a big of greenery. Absolutely gorgeous. It smells both pretty and mysterious.

I didnt want to get out of the tub.

The bomb shows green and purple as it fizzes. Green and purple are my favorite color combination. My hair is dyed green and purple.

Im so so grateful that Jack Constantine gave me a random act of kindness.

On Instagram some lushies who like to do makeup looks have been creating makeup looks to match lush halloween products. So, since my daughter loves makeup, i had my daughter do a look for Hulder. 🙂

Kitsune

5 out of 5 rating

See my tub demo i recorded at the end of this review.

Here’s a pic i took of the tray full of Kitsune bath bombs for you.

Here’s a video below that i recorded of the tray of them at the Lush Creative Showcase in England.

Here’s a picture of mine.

see my tub demo i recorded for you below.

i like the theme of this Kitsume bath bomb. Kitsume means Fox in Japanese. I like what Kitsume signifies, and its cute, looking like a cross between a cat, a shell and a fox.

In some cultures in japan it is a fox spirit which has magical powers.

It has a very citrusy scent. not sweet in any way. it reminds me of the Lush cheer up buttercup bath bomb scent.

It makes the water a lovely peach color. And there is also a gold sparkle. not too much sparkle, it’s minimal.

This bomb fizzes very fast and furious. really fresh!

It doesn’t have skin moisturizing properties in it.

All in all i love this bomb. i would buy another one or two.

heres a video demo

Harajuku

5 out of 5 rating. i would give it a 6 if i could.

This is an exclusive bath bomb given to me by Jack Constantine, main inventor for Lush Uk.

Harajuku is an area in Japan, in a district of Tokyo. Many people ferl Harajuku is the epitome for what is popular right now with youth in Japan. Bright colors and fantasy fashion, shops, themed restaurants, cosplay clubs, etc.

The colors of the bath bomb are seen a lot in the Harajuku clothing and streetstyle.

Lush made this bath bomb with an absolutely ADDICTIVE scent of bubblegum. its a bit fruitier spiceier than regular bubblegum.

Here is a video tub demo i recorded of Harajuku.

the bomb fizzes for quite a long while. i enjoyed rubbing the pink bubblegum scented foam on my arms and legs.

the smell was so good i did NOT want to get out.

The final results are a lovely peach colored water with silver sparkle.

Black Rose

5 out of 5 rating See my Tub Demo Video at the bottom of this page.

Exclusive to the new Lush Japan Harajuku shop, this and five other exclusive bath bombs were given to me by Jack Constantine at the Creative Showcase.

Black Rose was made with the Lush Rose Jam scent.

This is the original Black Rose photos below. The bath bomb is black with irridescent red metallic coco butter tips, and has gunmetal grey silver glitter.

Someone got the iron patch of Black Rose below for me! 🥺😲😍👏🏼❤️

This made in the Lush Rose Jam scent, which is popular sweet candyish rose scent.

Lush has made many things in this scent. Here’s a scent family photo i took below.

This one is a spinner, it moves back and forth in the water while spewing a red purple foam all around.

Here’s a link to my Original Black Rose from Lush Harajuku store. look at that end water with black and silver sparkles!
