Fly Me To The Moon

5 out of 5 rating. See my tub demo video below to see it in action!

I’m so intrigued by these new Lush Christmas bath bombs, in order as they are in my photo above, called Amazeballs.), ‘Snow Fairy‘ (pink), ‘Don’t Let the Bells End’ (yellow), ‘Holly Golightly‘ (green), and Fly Me To the Moon’ (platinum ufo).

It was hard to decide which one i wanted to use (and demo) first. I chose Fly Me To the Moon….since i live in the same state as Roswell, New Mexico after all. 😉 When you take the top off its got purple bubble bar/bomb powder mixture inside.its scent is similar to ‘Nevermind the Ballistics’ from Christmas 2017. Its made with lime, orange and frankincense.

I like the platinum shimmer on the outside of it.

I also like the purple bath bomb/bubble bar combo powder inside that is partcular to Fly Me to the Moon.

You can either sprinkle the powder under running water and it will become frothy or you can put the whole rhing in the tub with the powder inside of it.

Its a slow, foamy fizzer. Once it starts dissolving It turns into something that looks like dessert. Like vanilla blackberry ice cream.

It also has glitter in ghe water.

I like everything about this bomb. The design. The innovation. The colors, and the scent. And the performance.

Lush products in this same scent are all below Nevermind the Ballistics, Tunnel of Love soap, Fun For All the Family bubble Spinner, festive friends fun multipurpose bar, can’t remember what the last two are called.

This was made in the Calacas scent. Lime, neroli and frankincense. It smells like perfume-y, resinous limes.

I love the bright pink, orange and yellow (calacas colors) colors which combine to create a dark orange color.

It has a nice strong, true calacas scent!

He has little confetti in him that float in the water. My camera wasnt able to pick thoe up.

Heres a video of it

Melusine

5 out of 5 rating See my 2 minute tub demo of this gorgeous bath bomb below 🙂

According to Wikipedia

Melusine (French: [melyzin]) or Melusina is a figure of European folklore and mythology(mostly Celtic), a female spirit of fresh water in a sacred spring or river. She is usually depicted as a woman who is a serpent or fish from the waist down (much like a mermaid). She is also sometimes illustrated with wings, two tails, or both.

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs.

One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is this Melusine.

This bomb was made with their fan favourite ‘Avocado Co Wash shampoo’ scent. Its made with litsea cubeba, which is a lemony smelling herb. Reminds me of lemon grass. Its also got frankincense (olibanum), which has also always smelled lemony at times to me.

Altogether Its more of a sweet and sour citrus scent. Its a strong scent.

Description; If you’re feeling like a nervous wreck, drop Melusine a line. This mesmerising mermaid bath bomb is sure to make waves. Sweet lemony litsea cubeba and cheerful bergamot oil lift your senses, while olibanum will have you floating in no time. Finally a pinch of carrageenan extract hydrates the skin, delivering a hefty dose of vitamin sea. Watch as your cares drift away.

Because its a slower, foamier type of bomb, which lends tomy relaxation, and also because of the beautiful color and glitter, and the fact that the fragrance is good and strong in this bath bomb-i give it a 5 out of 5 rating.

Lush also made an exclusive perfume ‘Avocado Wash’ and sold it at lush.co.uk

Strawberry Santa

5 out of 5 rating

See my short demo video below

This wonderful holiday limited edition soap for 2018 has the scent of ‘Yummy yummy yummy’ shower gel and ‘Peeping Santa’ bubble bar.

This is one of those soaps that is almost too cute to use.

That cocoa butter cream in the middle looks delicous.

I was wondering how it’s shape would be condusive to washing. However it was just a matter of holding it in more of a cupping fashion.

The scent is surprisingly and pkeasantly strong. Thank goodness.

It really is a more moisturizing soap because of the conditioning cocoa butter in the soap.

Its made with fresh strawberries, geranium, and frankincense. This gives it a fruity, sweet, but equally floral and resinous scent.

The combination is addictive.

I have used every Lush Yummy yummy yummy scented product that Lush has made in the past and this soap does not dissappoint.

Its not as sweet as say the ‘snow fairy’ soap but almost. Its one of the sweetest soaps this holiday.

This is a soap that smells so good, works so well at moisturizing, is cute, that i would have to buy 3-5 of these.

Here is a review i recorded of this soap

Description: The weather outside may be frightful but Christmas showers have never been so delightful. What better way to finish off a great feast than with a creamy dessert, sandwiched between a cocktail of fresh strawberry juice and uplifting bergamot oil. Not to be mistaken for food, take this soapy little fellow and lather up under sweet suds of calming olibanum oil and conditioning peach kernel oil. Santa’s wearing a new suit this year, it’s strawberry sweet and totally unique. Hold him upright in your hand and massage into your palm to build up a lather that Father Christmas would be proud of.

Ol’ Blue Skies

5 out of 5

This was a limited edition shower gel in 2006 in the UK..

Its got a pretty sky blue color and some silver glitter, but only a small amount of glitter.

The name is a play on words. Decades ago tgere was a popular singer Frank Sinatra. His nickname was Ol Blue Eyes.

Heres what the original looked like. It was called Ol Blue Skies is Back, years and years later when the Lush Kitchen made it for a limited time run it was the sky blue color you see above. This is what the original limited edition shower gel looked like. It had alot more silvery blue luster and it was a lighter blue.

Sorry my pics below are blurry i didnt take very good pictures back then.

Lush made this shower gel with the same scent and ingredients as their blue skies and fluffy white clouds bubble bar, which is sold in all Lush stores.

Its fragrance is made with patchouli, cinnamon leaf oil, frankincense and a bit of lemon.

Ingredients: Fresh Lemon Infusion, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Cocamide DEA, Patchouli Oil, Glycol Cetearate, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Frankincense Oil, Sea Salt, snowflake lustre sparkle.

*Eugenol, *Limonene, Perfume, Colour 42090, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. * Occurs naturally in essential oils.

Review: Great lustre to this shower gel. The Blue Skies and Fluffy White clouds scent smells so good as a shower gel. I swear I smell more cinnamon than in the bath foam.

Skullduggery

See my tub demo video of Skullduggery below.

5 out of 5 rating.

This doesnt make any color in the water, however because its so damn cute and because i always buy more than two when lush makes them-i give this a solid 5 out of 5 rating.

Here below are some real sugar skulls made for Dia De Los Muertos.

The Lush Sugar Skulls are fairly big as you can see in my hand.

In my bath below i had three products with the Day of the Dead/Calacas scent

Green Calavas jelly

Yellow Man in the Moon bubble bar

Skullduggety bath bomb

lush made these around 2005 and then again in the Lush Kitchen on a limited edition basis. Back when we could order/buy multiple from the Lush Kitchen i bought four.

in my photo below are Other Lush products made in this same scent.

I love his red heart eyes

Originally Lush made a perfume for Halloween one year called ‘Day of the Dead’. I show it in my photo below. Later the name was changed to ‘Calacas’, which means skulls. Both of these names having to do with Dia De Los Muertos.

Lush Times: Skullduggery is an eerie but magical celebration for your bathtub. We used brightening and refreshing lime and neroli for the fragrance and olibanum (also known as frankincense resinoid) to help that citrusy smell stay on your skin until the witching hour and beyond. Lime oil is a popular ingredient in remedies to combat congested skin, cellulite or simply to wake you up! We use expensive neroli oil as it is one of the few essential oils to be scientifically proven to increase serotonin production in the brain – Arriba! Olibanum resinoid, otherwise known as frankincense, has a woody, slightly fruity aroma and covers the skin with a thin, protective film, softening the skin. It is extremely effective on sore, cracked, de-hydrated skin.

In my photo above i used two bath bombs with the ssme scent: Skulldugery and Monsters Ball

He looks menacing even as hes melting in the water

😄

He has little swirly designs on his head. I tried to show that in the pic below.

Jack invented Calavera Bath Bomb last year for our Day of the Dead celebration; a very zesty number full of vibrant, bright colours to get you celebrating in the bath. He chose uplifting citrus oils for the fragrance, as they can help clear your head after a night of celebrating the dead (with one too many tequilas!)

Decorated skulls (or Calaveras) are iconic in Day of the Dead imagery – so this year, we took the concept of Jack’s Bath Bomb last year and gave it a slightly spookier look. This ballistic is limited edition so get it while you can.

This doesn’t make any colors in the bath, but it is cute.

Here’s a demo and review video i made of Skullduggery in the bath

Here’s a ‘scent Family portrait’ photo i took of all the Lush ‘Calacas scented things, except for the wonderful ‘Enchanter’ which is not in the family portrait. I want Lush to pleeeease make Enchanter again someday.  I love Skullduggery and Enchanter equally.  One has the super cute factor, and one is one of the most colorful lush bath bomb i’ve ever seen. 🙂

Respect Your Elders

5 out of 5 rating

See my short video below, berries!

I love this soap, it smells like elderberries more than elderflower.  It has a black coating and the interior soap color is a gorgeous purple! This soap is right up my alley.

It smells like sweet berries, it smells yummy. It’s not strongly sweet, it’s a just right kind of sweet.

Elderberries

Elderflowers

Elder Berry Wine

Making wine from elderberries is a thing. It’s kind of a cordial.

For Christmas 2016 Lush made three Fun bars. ONE OF THEM CALLED snakes and Ladders had rhe same scent as Lush ‘Respect Your Elders’ soap.

Bling! toothy tabs

2015 5.95 gap
Orange and Frankincense

I like the taste of these particular toothy tabs called ‘Bling!’  It’s nice and orange, like a real orange.  Even though there is gold powder on these it doesn’t get your mouth filled with gold dust glitter.  In face when you rinse your mouth after brushing, it’s all gone, just the taste remains. 🙂  These are my favorite tasting of the new shimmery toothy tabs.

Day of the Dead perfume

5 out of 5 ratingLush Uk made these perfumes for forum members only in 2010, give or take a year. It came before ‘Calacas’. This Day of the Dead perfume was one of the first lush products with this lime and neroli scent, and the name changed to ‘Calacas’.

Its citrussy, i smell lime and the Frankincense the most. I love it!

Soot Ball

Product Story

See my 3 minute video of this below.

Earlier this year, the Gorilla Perfume team hosted a ‘scented cinema’ event at which Hayao Miyazaki’s film Spirited Away was shown. This bath bomb is inspired by the ‘soot gremlins’ from his films – little creatures that dwell in the shadows of houses that, when crushed between the hands, dissolve into black soot.

Description:

He’s watching you…!

Let this surprising little bath bomb spirit you away into a golden, lustre-filled bath.

Don’t worry, Soot Ball won’t turn your bath water black – instead we’ve filled this bath bomb with radiant golden lustre, to feel as though you’re bathing in luxurious liquid gold. The olibanum (frankincense) is known for its calming and grounding effect on the mind, whilst the burnt caramel scent of tonka absolute and earthy sandalwood oil together create a sweet, spicy fragrance that wafts through the steam.

Here’s the video i made of this gorgeous little Soot Ball in the bath.

Quantitative Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Tonka Absolute, Australian Organic Sandalwood Oil, Fair Trade Columbian Cocoa Butter, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Olibanum Retinoid (Frankincense), Benzoin Resinoid, Perfume, Radiant Gold Lustre, Paper Eyes
