Nero perfume

I expected to love this perfume, after all im a neroli freak. I.love all things from lush that are primarily neroli based like ‘frozen’ or ‘love snd light’ body lotion or ‘prince’ cplogne. But unfortunately, no matter how many timrs i try this on me i just don’t like it. It has a strange note in it that makes it smell odd. None of the normal neroli goodness comed through. No matter if it wet or after its dried.

A royal favourite blended with an elevating wealth of zesty bergamot and neroli.

Bursts of floral neroli meet smouldering petitgrain oil, creating a fresh and woody fragrance. This perfume was inspired by the origins of the name Neroli. One theory suggests it arose from Emperor Nero, an avid perfume and fragrant flower enthusiast. Another surmises it stemmed from a much-loved French noblewoman named Anne Marie, Princess of Nerola, renowned for adorning her signature gloves and bath water with uplifting neroli oil.”

You’ll love this if you like:

– Fresh, green notes.
Sun perfume.
– Regal scents.

I LOVE Sun perfume, and i dont know ehy they compare it with Sun because it smells NOTHING like it. I wish it did. I have both and nope!

It has an odd chemically smell.

Its a shame as i wanted to love this.

Snow Apple

See my Christmas 2019 soaps video below for more in depth descriptions.

This wins my vote for prettirst looking Christmas soap this year (though Shooting Stars comes close).

Its a silver apple. Gorgeous! Who doesnt want to see this at the sink in thw soap dish.

Its made me in the Lush So White scent.

Lush used to have an all white Christmas bath bomb valled So White. It was a white apple.

The scent is made with orange flower, bergamot, neroli and rose.

Its a bright, crisp green apple scent. The scent is fairly strong.

Wonderful!

Happy shower gel

(not to be confused with Happy 4 SAD shower gel, which is different, and being voted for the Lush monthly subscription box)

5 out of 5 rating. See my demo, description & review video below.

Happy

One of two new shower gels this Christmas.

This smells like fruity bubblegum. Thats exactly what it smells like to me. I was surprised. Its made with lemon oil, orange oil and neroli oil. It also has wLnut leaf and dandelion root infusion.

Its a blue-green, medium thick gel with lots of multi colored shimmer.

Because of the ingredients i expected this to smell more citrussy, but its sweeter than i expected.

If you like fruity bubblegum you’ll like this shower gel.

This was made in the Calacas scent. Lime, neroli and frankincense. It smells like perfume-y, resinous limes.

I love the bright pink, orange and yellow (calacas colors) colors which combine to create a dark orange color.

It has a nice strong, true calacas scent!

He has little confetti in him that float in the water. My camera wasnt able to pick thoe up.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow bath bomb

I took this photo below which shows the Over the Rainbow bath bomb on the right.

Theres a soap and a bath bomb named Somewhere Over the Rainbow with the same scent in my picture below.

This is a beautiful, limited edition bath bomb from Lush Oxford Street in the UK.  It shares it’s scent with the Easter time Lush soap of the same name.  I love it, it’s an innocent floral with a tad of a citrus note.  Rose oil, neroli oil and orange oil.

This is a slow fizzing bath bomb, which i love, and which gives it the time it needs to unfurl the gorgeous rainbow of colors in the tub.

The beautiful Over the Rainbow bath bomb in my tub.

The scent is medium strong, no complaints there.  It stays on the skin a decent amount of time.

It’s not a gender-neutral scent, meaning it’s highly floral, but in a soft, pretty way.

Here are some photos I took, along with a demo and review video below.

my sink demo of this soap is below

Troubles melt like ice in the hot sun when you lather up with this uplifting neroli soap. Let its rich and fruity perfume put your mood on cloud 9 and pop you back on your feet. Sunny citrus oils like mandarin and neroli tone and brighten the skin and leave you feeling fresh and fragrant. A dash of Turkish rose keeps things sweet and adds a flirty floral note to this sunny sudser.

Lush also made a soap with the same name and scent as i show in my photo below.

Inhale Exhale

5 out of 5

See my demo video (below) of this in the tub 🙂

Description: Inhale is a light and fruity fragrance with with neroli, rose, vetivert and ylang ylang, Exhale has a more intense woody and smoky aroma with sandalwood, cedarwood, amber, and a hint of grapefruit.  Drop your bath bomb into the warm water to enjoy the effect of one, then the other, and finally both fragrances together as they waft through the steam to create the exquisite, perfectly balanced Breath of God.

This is truly one of my favorite bath bombs.

VEGAN? YES

3.25 gbp

Ingredients: citric acid, Neroli oil, Ylang Ylang oil, Black pepper oil, Sandalwood oil, Vetivert, Cedarwood oil, Lemon oil, Grapefruit oil, Cade oil, Cream of tartar, Cornflour, sodium laureth sulfate, lauryl betaine, Coumarin, hydroxyxitronellal, methyl Ionene, *limonene, *linalool, Perfume, colour 17200, colour 42090, colour 45410, colour 16255, Paper Slip.

Lush Times: This is a bath bomb of two halves; created with the two halves of our Breath of God fragrance, Inhale and Exhale. Each half will fizz at different speeds. The Inhale half fizzes quickly, allowing you to breathe in the neroli and rose  oils, breathe in and relax. You can then lie back and enjoy the grounding effect of Exhale, which fizzes more slowly to allow the opportunity for a long-lasting, indulgent bath.

Here’s a demonstration video i did of Prince shower gel

This smells orangey and earthy at the same time.  It’s not sweet. The gel is very thick.

Happy 4 SAD

January 2022

$9.95 8.4oz (in 2004)

Review: It’s a deep purple colored gel, that smells like cheerful and yummy, fresh, peeled oranges with a fresh whiff of dove orchid. Fab. I LOVE that crazy ultraviolet color.

Be advised though, this shower gel can be quite thin. Ive had some bottles that are a normal shower gel consistency, and ive had some that have a thinner than normal, watery consistency.

Lush Times 2004 description: Sad bunnies in the northern hemisphere will need this most in January, February and March whilst misery kittens in the southern hemisphere will want it in July, August and September. Lack of sunshine can make us all feel a bit down in the dumps so at Lush central we’ve done our best to bottle it. Happy for SAD is an ‘ultra-violet’ shower gel (it’s very purple!) scented with a bunch of the cheery, stimulating essential oils. We have rose to restore happy feelings, uplifting, refreshing mandarin and a drop or two of the wonderful neroli, said to relieve tension and stress and give a feeling of euphoria to all who smell it. Whenever you feel the dull, dark days and long nights getting you down, get up with Happy for SAD.

Here’s a demo video i made of this shower gel

This Lush bath bomb, Shut Up and Get Over It’ was made in the same scent.

Moon and Sun steamer tab

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Lavender Oil, Neroli Oil, Perfume, *Geraniol,*Farnesol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Lavender Flowers

Lush descriptionA blend of oils for both mind and skin, skillfully presented in an easy to use tab. Steam clean your face whilst you inhale the mood-adjusting essential oils. Neroli Oil brings you a blast of its mood lifting power, whilst lavender oil balances and soothes the skin.

Most toners are preserved water with added astringent ingredients to act on the pores. Ours take a more gentle approach, which means that steaming the face is possible without any harsh ingredients being present. With no packaging and no preservatives, these are a win for you and a win for the environment.

Johnny Appleseed

See my demo video below.

It has a great apple scent!

We don’t want to put ideas in your head, so we’ll just plant a seed. Why not pop this fruity green treat in the bath? An apple a day will send troubles away as you sow uplifting neroli, bright lemon and Brazilian orange oils into the water. Make it the apple of your eye.

Melt warning: this product is made with ingredients which allow it to soften at  body temperature, and so it prefers not to be posted to hot, sunny climates.

Frog Prince

5 out of 5 ratingSee video below.  Also see “Leap Frog” bath bomb, same bomb, different names. This was first made for Valentine’s in the 2009-2011 time frame.

I absolutely love everything about this bath bomb.  It’s super cute, and the smell is great, and the water is a nice color when he fizzes away.  The scent stays on my skin longer than most bath bomb scent. It’s a floral.  It’s a multiple floral.  Good Lush floral blends are fewer then the fruity or candy scents from Lush, and this is a nice floral.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute , Ylang Ylang Oil.

Lush Times: Another magical creation by Michelle, Frog Prince is an extremely handsome and regal frog with a pair of vibrantly red and kissable lips. Give him a quick peck, drop him in the tub and wait for your prince to come. Simon’s new fragrance is an aphrodisiac blend with sweet undertones; he used jasmine, neroli and rosewood to create a sensual fragrance for those longing for their prince – or princess – to come. It’s not all about the fragrance with this one, it’s also brimming with cocoa butter and almond oil for a luxuriously moisturising soak.

Love and Light

See my 4 minute video demo and review below 🙂  7.95 gbp/$12.25 100g or 14.95 gpb/$22.00 250g

file-sep-13-6-06-52-pm

Debuted in April 2015 This smells like orange blossom and neroli, not orange. It’s light and doesn’t leave a film like some thicker hand creams do.
As far as perfumes, if it came down to two, i like Frozen’s scent as a perfume more than love and light, i explain why in this 4 minute video i made of Love and Light hand cream up close.

Frozen bath bomb

There is also a 'Frozen' bubble bar, but they smell nothing alike and they look different.

OMG this Frozen bath bomb what a gorgeous bath bomb!  See my short video clip of it below. This shares its beautiful scent with Lush "Happy Happy Joy Joy" and a couple of other lush products. The scent is grapefruit, neroli, and rose.

The scent is so beautiful that many Lushies asked Lush to make this into perfume, which Lush did available for one day only.

The blue water that this bomb makes is like NO other blue lush item.  I don’t think Lush has made any other product in this particular shade of blue.

Review: The fragrance of this bath bomb surprised me.  I thought because it was called “Frozen” it might be minty.  Instead this is a Gorgeous floral with citrus notes. Rose, Neroli, Grapefruit.

It has the lscent as Lush “Happy Happy Joy Joy” shampoo, “shine so bright”.  It has silver shimmer in the water which does leave an ever so light sheen on the skin after the bath. The water is an incredible bright sky blue color.

Lush description:  Let it go – This magical blend of uplifting grapefruit, tunisian neroli, rose oil.

See my video of this gorgeous bath bomb below.

Ylang Song

4.5 out of 5 rating

See my demo video of this close up in the tub.

A Lush Ltd employee contacted me the other day and asked of i had tried this bomb. They said they had a feeling i would like this one. So i looked for one and bought one from Ebay.

Lush says: “Tunisian neroli, Peruvian Rosewood erupt into a sensual world tumbling peony petals.”

And after using it;  Yes this does remind me of an old school lush bath bomb because of the flowers.

This bomb reminds me very much of a Monet painting, perhaps the coloring in the painting “water lillies”.  When the bomb finished dissolving, what’s left looks like a painting; a beautiful spring green background with purple petals strewn about. Oh my. And the smell is very nice in my opinion. It’s floral, woody, fruity. But it all blends together do beautifully. Like bathing in a fairy glade.

The gorgeous ingredients are: Ylang ghana oil, neroli, rosewood, rose oil, peony petals, yellow rose petals, and purple everlasting flower.

I became 6 years old once again. I played with the flowers, arranging them on the side of the tub and gazing at the beautiful colored petals.

Here’s a link to a youtube video i made of the Ylang Song in the tub.

Grass

Lush Description: Get Twiggy with it.  Have a field day with this verdant bubble bar.  It’s like cloud watching in a meadow.

Ingredients:  perfume, spring green lustre color, Bergamot oil, Neroli oil, sandalwood

Review:  This bubble bar is made from the scent of their now discontinued shower gel named ‘Grass’. People who love grass shower gel would love this bubble bar as the scent is exactly like the shower gel. It’s not quite an earthy green, or an oakmossy green, like ‘Tramp’, but a nice, spring grass scent.   Not only is it pretty, but it makes the water a gorgeous shade of green.

I was saving my grass bubble bar but since the lush Kitchen is making some i’ll use this one from Oxford Street so i can record it for you so you can see what it looks like before it comes up in the kitchen,
