Asteroid bath bomb

Astroid city has multiple colors in a lively combinatiin of pinks and blues

The bath bomb looks like an Astroid. This bath bomb was introduced June 2023 when they collab with the new Wes Anderson movie ‘Astroid City’.

the pink and blue swirls combine ultimately into a beautiful cobalt blue colored water.

It has lovely silver sparkles, my picture below doesn’t do it justice.

Asteroid has the same scent components as these products below in my pictures. It contains black current, bergamot, and grapefruit.

Squeak

4 out of 5 rating

See my demo video below

Made with big chunks of sea salt and lots of yummy tropical fruits such as mango, papaya, pineapple, lemon, and kiwi. Smells even more fruity and delicious than Lush I Love Juicy shampoo.

It’s a thick consistency, sort of like the consistency of Big liquid shampoo. I attached a vid to show the texture.

This is made for fine, limp hair and oily i normal hair. It’s not for my dry, thick, wavy hair.

After using it I can totally see how this woukd make thin hair thicker. It works well for that.

A little goes a long way. I have long hair. You have to make sure you rinse your hair well to get the small salt chunks out of your hair. It smells so good.

This was a surprise in the Lush July 2021 subscription box.

Have you tried it? Do you like it? Or not so much?

I wonder if Lush will have it in stores for the general public or if it will stay an exclusive one time thing.

Here is my video

White Noise

See my tub demo video below.

Lush has collaborated with ASOS to make an exclusive bath bomb.

This bath bomb was included as an exclusive in the June 2021 Lush Kitchen Subscription box.

It’s a frenetic pattern of blue, green, gray and white.

The scent is highly citrussy. Its the same scent as the Lush ‘Kitsume’ bath bomb.

It’s not sweet at all. It kind of reminds me of the Avobath bomb with its lemongrass scent, but this White Noise bomb is even more citrussy than that.

This isn’t one of those slow dissolving, melty bath bombs with multi colored foamy bath art. This is one of those fast fizzing bath bombs.

It’s got lots of nice gray silver glitter that dissolves into the water.

The end color is a gray blue bath water with gray silver glitter.

I enjoyed it. It’s different in action, looks and scent. While it’s not my favorite scent it’s nice.

i’d rate this a 3 or 4 out of 5 rating.

Lush Kitchen June 2021 subscription box voting

Below are the six products that we choose from to vote. See my unboxing video below.

Here’s my vote

Here’s my unboxing video of the things that won the votes.

Below these are the things that were voted on.

93,000 Miles shower jelly

4 out of 5

spicy. Cinnamon and mint. Kind of like Wiccy Magic muscles bar.

see my one minute video of it below
small size is $6.95 (3.50gbp) , large size is $11.95 (6.95 gbp)

After your muscles have been hitting the running tracks, have a run-in with this invigorating eucalyptus and mint jelly. Whether you like it fast or slow, whether you’ve completed a marathon or mastered a sprint finish this bright wobbly jelly will loosen aches and pains and send lingering cramp on its way. Take it straight out of the freezer and into the shower to enjoy the energising power of invigorating peppermint and warming spicy cinnamon leaf oils.

Antiphilitron liquid shampoo

2 out of 5

i wouldn’t recommend if you have dry hair like me.

for greasy and normal hair

500g £6.65 250g £3.90 100g £2.05

Ingredients: fresh lemon peel decoction, sodium lauryl ether sulphate, fresh lemon juice, cocoamphocarboxy-glycinate, lemon oil, lauryl betaine, perfume, methyl & propyl paraben.

This was more of a clarifying shampoo, good for getting the greeen out of blonde hair if one swims alot in chlroined water. Great lemony scent. This was a bit harsh on my hair and left tons of tangles. Just not for my hair type is all.

Lush 1999 description: Antiphilitron is for getting your hair clean when other shampoos don’t quite cut the mustard. What its fresh lemon juice, lemon oil and organic lemon peel mixture is good at is really getting hair squeaky clean, washing away grease, city grime or country muck and even chlorine from swimming pools. It also slices right through the silicones that get dumped on your hair by modern shampoos that make your hair smooth and shiny at first but then build up to make it a bit sad and lifeless. Fresh lemons make Antiphilitron smell fantastic, they perk up your hair and scalp and they help to revive your sleepy head in the morning. To greasy hair and grubby hair we say get Antiphilitron and get lively!

Banana Moon soap

4 out of 5

This was sold for about five years in all stores as a regular year round item.

The Lush Kitchen subscription box has this up for the vote with 5 other products for the month of May/June 2021

Lush used to make them in long cylindrical poles and then the last year they were around they started making the boring rectangle. But the soap didn’t change, it was still nice.

Ingredients: Sodium Palm Kernelate, Propylene Glycol, Natural Yoghurt, Fresh Bananas (Musa paradisiaca), Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Perfume, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides)

You have to get a good, fresh piece to appreciate this. It’s creamy, banana-y and nice. It should smell like banana runts even though it is a natural, not fake, smell. It’s also a gentle soap.

2006 LT description: One of the things that irritates us just slightly is when we’re not having a good day is that it’s perfectly legal to call something banana soap when it doesn’t have any bananas in it, but merely a dab of synthetic banana fragrance. Our banana soap has lots of fresh bananas in it; we mash them up, mix them with yoghurt, soap flakes and essential oils and make a truly bananafied, moisturizing soap that smells of bananas because it’s full of them.

Grass body lotion

3 out of 5 rating

This was an exclusive made in the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen that i bought. They had numerous products turned into lotion that week in the kitchen in 2014.

This lotion is the least grass smelling of all the grass products.

Intergalactic shower gel

4 out of 5

The bath bomb is sweet, minty, woody and citrussy. However, the shower gel loses some of its sweetness, and its woodiness in the translation. So the shower gel is minty and herbal with a jint of grapefruit. Not as sweet though, and not as layered in scent. But nice smelling nonetheless. ❤️

The bath bomb is very popular because of its looks and its scent. Its cobalt blue and full of Glitter. Like a planet, in space, amongst the sparkly stars.

This was never sold in Lush stores. It was only made one time by the Lush UK Community favorites, along with four others.

Here’s what it looks like

Rough With the Smooth body scrub bar (Lord of Misrule scent)

4 out of 5

This smells so damn good omg. It has a good scrubbiness to it with tiny exfoliating bits along with cocoa butter. Use it in the shower. keep it in a soap dish to dry between uses.

It’s got that wonderful vanilla, black pepper and patchouli scent.

Beauty Sleep

5 out of 5 rating.

See my video below where i apply it and review it.

Mark Constantine, owner of Lush Uk wanted to have a little fun so he decided to work with Helen Ambrosen on a new face and body mask.

They made it by adding a teaspoon of gorgeous moisturizer and then they added the ingredients to ‘Sleepy’, Lavender, Yang ylang and Tonka.

when they finalized the product he announced that they will let us have a crack at naming the product. So people submitted they’re names and a handful of people chose ‘Beauty Sleep’ and this is the name that won.

it’s a perfect name. the mask smells amazing! if you know what the gorgeous moisturizer smells like you can imagine that plus sleepy.

instructions recommend slathering it on your face and your arms, neck, chest, back, stomach and then let it stay on your skin for 10-20 minutes while you’re in the tub or in the shower. Then after that time just rinse it off.

it’s got ground aduki beans for exfoliating and it’s LOADED with many moisturizing ingredients.

it’s a beautiful pinkish lavender color.

“Aluxurious clay face mask, which includes a spoonful of our most decadent moisturiser, Gorgeous, for a boost of hydration. The perfect step in your evening skincare routine, to help you #getyourbeautysleep.

“The combination of lavender and neroli is even more soothing than I anticipated. I noticed a significant improvement in my stress level within minutes. Skin feels soft and smooth afterwards. – bethanyjoyhall

“From its lavender and neroli scent that calms the mind…to its freshly ground Aduki beans, fresh coconut, honey, kaolin, and talc which calm and soothe the skin-this face mask is a 10/10 for me! It left my skin feeling calm, moisturized, and toned all at once.” – LaredoLushies

Run a warm bath, put on some relaxing music and apply this beautiful face mask to clean skin. Sit back and relax. Inhale the neroli and let the valerian and lemon verbena get to work. Once you’re feeling relaxed and ready for bed, rinse away with warm water.

Lo and Behold when those of us who bought the Lush Kitchen subscription box from Lush Uk opened up our June boxes we found a surprise: a container of Beauty Sleep face and body mask. Yay!

List of ingredients

As far as Lush masks go i really like this one. it made my skin feel cleansed and moisturized and it smelled gorgeous. Using it before bed was a good idea since the ingredients in ‘Sleepy’ (twilight) are conducive to sleep.

Comforter shower bomb

5 out of 5 rating. See my demo & review vid below.

Lush has introduced a new shower bomb to the mix. The Comforter shower bomb. Originally introduced at the new Lush Liverpool Spa Mega store, Lush uk decided to offer this to the public for a limited time, on their Lush Labs site at lush.co.uk

So i bought two. I love anytjibg in the Comforter scent.

So far ive loved every one of the 7 different Lush Cosmeticd shower bombs that ive tried.

This Comforter shower bomb is right up there amongst my favorite shower bombs.

Youre supposed to pass the shower bomb quickly one time through the water (dont leave it in the water) and then it starts to activate.

It becomes foamy and creamy and you can rub this foamy cream on your skin to cleanse. Then simply rinse off with warm water.

Its not a conditioning bar, it’s a cleanser, so theres nothing left on the skin after rinsing. Its not drying, it just leaves soft clean skin.

I find this bar to smell like the other comforter scented products, though i definitely smell more of the bergamot note than in other comforter products.

I would recommend this. It was about £2.75

Sex Bomb shower gel

4 out of 5 rating

This is one of six exclusive shower gels that Lush.co.uk made ‘just because’ from community favorite bath bombs

Honestly, This is the shower gel i was the least excited about. Ive seen sex bomb in one form or another for 17 years. *yawn*

However, i was in for a surprise when i used this for the first time.

Firstly, it has this quite unexpected pink shimmer to it. SO pretty. The bath bomb that this shower gel was named after doesnt have any glitter nor shimmer so this was a pleasant surprise. its not glitter like in Intergalactic shower gel, this is *shimmer*, more subtle than glitter. Beautiful. I just keep gazing at it in the light.

Secondly, the scent isn’t as complex as rhe bsth bomb scent. That said-this is what i could call a classically ‘pretty’ scent. Its feminine and floral. Having rose, and jasmine florals. The herbaceousness of the sage is kind of missing, and the ylang ylang isnt coming across at all to me but….i dont care because this floral shower gel scent has great ‘throw’. Its not a sweet scent. Just floral.

And more importantly two hours after my shower im getting compliments about how i smell at the grocery store, and from my husband. He said it smells sexy.

I SEE you Sex Bomb shower gel! ❤️

Groovy Kind of Love shower gel

3 or 4 out of 5 rating

Some days i think it a 4, and other days i think its a 3.

This is one of six shower gels that Lush made just because, from our favorite in-store bath bombs.

While im quite enamored with the woody, fruity scent of the bath bomb, the scent in the shower gel doesnt quite translate tjat similarly. That said its still a good smelling shower gel. It translates to a straight up bubble gum scent.

The look of the bomb is a rainbow of bright colors, and so the bath bombs scent is also multi layered with contrasting notes of woodiness and fruitiness.

The shower gel isnt quite as much of a mixture of notes as it is a muddiness of scents. Intetestingly this blending becomes bubblegum.

My husband is even less impressed by this shower gel, he does NOT like the scent. He says it smells like bad breath. Yikes. I dont get that at all but your mileage may vary. *closes the lid of the bottle with a loud snap*

Its a nice thick bright orange shower gel.

It doesnt have glitter because the bath bomb has no glitter.

If you like bubblegum scents you’ll love this shower gel.

I Want a Pony

5 out of 5 rating

See my 2 minute tub demo below.

I Want a Pony bath oil is one of 350 new products introduced at the new Lush Megastore in liverpool spa.

It was made with the scent of “The Comforter”, which has cassis, black currant and bergamot. Lush has made many products in this popular scent, starting with the bubble bar in 2006.

It doesnt have that odd note that is in some comforter products. No, this is just smooth berrylicous goodness.

Its made with cocoa butter and other good for your dry skin things.

It leaves a soft pink colored water. No sparkle.

I love this!

Heres a video of it melting in the hot bath water.

Dont order this during the hot months or it may arrive melted.

Careful getting out of the tub as it may be a bit more slippery

Calm a Llama Party Pinata

5 out of 5 rating see my 2 minute tub demo vid below.

This was made in the Calacas scent. Lime, neroli and frankincense. It smells like perfume-y, resinous limes.

I love the bright pink, orange and yellow (calacas colors) colors which combine to create a dark orange color.

It has a nice strong, true calacas scent!

He has little confetti in him that float in the water. My camera wasnt able to pick thoe up.

Heres a video of it

Demon

5 out of 5 rating see my demo video below

I bought this via lush.co.uk along with another bath oil and a shower bomb.

All of these are part of the 350 products that Lush have introduced st their New Mega store in Liverpool Spa.

Recently via the LushLabs lush have decided to sell these on their retail website to us for a limited time only. I bought two.

Here is a video of my bath with two lush products. One of them is Demon bath oil.

This bath oil was made in the Lord of Misrule scent; vanilla, patchouli, and black pepper.

Cilla the Caterpillar

5 out of 5 rating

Lush has recently ooened up their biggest store world wide in liverpool. They introduced 350 new products starting at this store. One of these was this bath bomb.

Lush decided to have them available on their lush.co.uk retail site. Thats where i bought this.

Lush made this in their ‘Vanillary’ perfume scent. Its a yummylicous blend of creamy sweet vanilla tonka bean, grounding sandalwood, and sensual jasmine floral. Just the right amount.

This bath bomb is strong wuth the vanillary scent. Smells like sweet vanilla caramel custard pudding. YUM. Yet theres a subtle sensualness to it because of the sandalwood and jasmine.

Im sorry i didnt buy two.

The green and peach colors combine to make pretty bath art.

The combination ultimately making a peridot green color.
