Demon in the Shower gel

Demon in the Dark scent is a mint apple clove scented shower gel. Spicy apples. What a wonderful thing.

The shower gel was made years after the soap was made. The soap was a regular year round store product for many years, thenlush discontinued it to make room for new soaps. The shower gel was an exclusive Lush product only available for one day in the UK on line retail site. And the UK LushKitchen once included the shower gel in our subscription box.

Demon in the Dark soap

LushDemonIDD

Ingredients: Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerine, Mint Infusion, Apple Juice, Mint, Spearmint Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Peppermint, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, *Eugenol, *Limonene, Perfume, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Colour 42045.* Occurs naturally in essential oils

Yes, i once bought six bottles.

LT 2006 Description: Demon in the Dark is made with fresh, organic apple juice and an infusion of mint. This makes it stimulating for the skin and for your nose; just wait until you smell this one! Give it a big sniff and the dark green Demon gets straight up your nose and gives your head a blast of fresh, minty scent. It’s a devil of a good cleanser, with warming clove bud oil, revitalising peppermint and astringent apple. Wash your hair with Washday Greens, put on a Mask of Magnaminty and scrub up with Demon in the Dark for the Full Minty.

I took a picture of both.

Review: This is a minty and spicy shower gel with apple juice added. It smells more minty than anything, but with a spicy, clove note that goes well with the mint.  It’s both cold and hot if that makes sense.  It’s minty but not sweet minty and it’s refreshing. I think everyone should try this at least once.

There is a black covering or “rind” that can be peeled off, or you can leave it on. Lushies suggest that you put the bar in the freezer and it will be easier to peel if off.

It’s a nice spearmint soap with a lovely apple note as well.

GlitterboX Lush ‘Classy Diva’ shower gel

2 out of 5

This was introduced in a 2023 Collab.

Well, i havent used a Lush shower gel that i absolutely hate in a long time.

I had initially rated this a 1 out of 5, but i decided to give it a break because of the bright yellow color, which we dont see that often in a Lush shower gel. Thus i raised it to a 2 out if 5. Just a reminder that anything below a 3 means i wouldnt recommend.

So yeah, im sorry to anyone who loved this shower gel. I do not like this scent. yuk yuk yuk. Its so incredibly Bitter that i can barely sniff it. BITTER. Theres nothing renotely fruity, nor floral in this shower gel.

I didnt even have to read the ingredients to know that there was Petitgrain in this. As far as i’m concerned if lush puts petitgrain as one of the main ingredients, they better be putting something else thats stronger smelling with it. Which brings me to a question; as some of you know i fell in love with Plum Rain the moment i first opened the lid and smelled it. I really really like Plum Rain. So WHY do i tolerate the Petitgrain thats in Plum Rain but i dont tolerate Classy Diva GlitterX shower gel?

I’m guessing its because plum rain is paired with orange and plum, instead of only grapefruit with classy diva.

I can’t even smell it even one more time much less shower with it again.

And Lush made a body spray to go with this GliiterX shower gel…No comment.

Oudhess shower gel

5 out of 5

Made with the Lush “Zen” soap scent which is the originating Lush product in this same scent. It smells woody and kind of green. It can smell kind of incense-y but this is not a sweet scent at all. If you like ‘Earthy’ scents you’ll probably like it. If you only like sweet scents, or fruity or light pretty white florals then you might not like the scent.

I was right! Oudhess is the same scent as Goddess, which is also made with Oudh, as i had guessed. I didn’t have anymore Goddess shower gel anymore to check the ingredients, but i found the empty container of the goddess hair moisturizer. 😄 same ingredients on this Goddess hair moisturizer; oudh, jasmine, osmanthus, rose and sandalwood.

Its a remake of Goddess shower gel with a different name. Goddess has Oudh in it too. Its a woody, green, and floral scent.

It looks just as pretty as the original Goddess shower gel. 😍

All of these Lush products in my photo sbove in the Goddess range have the same ingredients and scent. Oudh, Jasmine, Rose, Osmanthus, and Sandalwood.

Lush Kitchen July 2022 Subscription Box Product Voting – Descriptions & Reviews

Hi there. I made a video describing all of these. I hope it helps 😊

I meant July 2022 sub box, not June.

Here’s my unboxing of what we got 😊

Lord of Misrule body lotion

5 out of 5

Lord of Misrule was one of four body lotions thst were exclusive to Lush UK. They asked us which lotions we would like them to make that theyve never made before. I absutely loved that the four that i suggested were made. I love each of these scents SO very much.

The scent is nice and strong and smells just like the lord of misrule bath bomb.

Lush Uk made these exclusive lotions that they’ve never made before a couple of years ago around 2018.

The lord of Misrule lotions smells exactly like the shower gel and bath bomb. Made with Vanilla, Patchouli, and Black Pepper. Yummy.

I made a video showing it below. In the video i showed exactly how thick it is.

I did a pretty thorough review and demo of the body lotion in a video. I was very pleased with the thicker consistency of the lotion(s). In the past sometimes exclusive lotions were very thin.

Here’s a scent family photo below. The lotion was made after i took this photo. There have been a handful of other kinds of products that Lush has made for us to buy in the last few years since this lotion was made.

Heres my video below if youd like to see the consistency, etc. I love that its a green color like the bath bomb. Sometimes when theyve made one off lotions in the past they were all white, so i appreciate the added color. 😊

Yog Nog body lotion

3 out of 5 rating

Created exclusively (along with five other lotions that we voted on) in 2015 for the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen. Never sold to the public. I remember buying 3 at that time.

Up for the vote for the July 2021 Lush subscription box.

Unfortunately, especially because i am around photography and video equipment a lot, it was way too greasy for my skin. I left greasy spots all over every table that i sat at for dinner, it left a greasy residue on everything i touched. Wonderful smell! But i just couldn’t use it, so i held a giveaway and gave away the other two unopened pots i had bought.
I like the Yog Nog body milk much more as it’s not so thick and oily as the lotion in the pot.

Mama Mia body spray

5 out of 5 rating

This is my favorite of the five exclusive body sprays that the Lush community voted for amongst the ten scents that Lush gave us to choose from.

Naturally i voted for this one. The Mama Mia body scrub is one of my all time favorite smelling products. The first time i sniffed that vanilla and pink grapefruit scent i was in love.I love all five of the scents that won, but Mama Mia is definitely my favorite.

It’s such a Yummy scent.

When the body spray is first sprayed on it smells like something you would eat for dessert. It smells like strawberry cake with orange icing. The scent stays true while it’s drying.

.

In 15 minutes it’s fairly dried down, and while the scent has faded somewhat the yummy notes still smell the same as when i first sprayed it on.

I am so glad Lush made this into a body spray. I would rate this a 5 out of 5.

If you like vanilla or pink grapefruit you’ll probably love this.

Mama Mia Solid body scrub

here’s my video where i describe the scents of all five and read the ingredients etc

Lush Winter Garden body spray

Winter garden body spray is one of five exclusive new December 2020 body sprays out of nine that we voted on via the Lush Labs site. Winter Garden scent is from the Christmas 2020 bath bomb of the same name. Lush hasn’t made this scent before in a bath bomb, body spray nor any product.

It’s always exciting when Lush creates a new product with a new scent that has a really great scent. Winter Garden bath bomb is this kind of product, so it’s no wonder we voted for this to be made into a body spray.

Winter Garden is a floral scent with the primary note of ylang ylang. It smells pretty. It’s a somewhat more complex floral scent to my nose than some other Lush florals. Winter florals are represented here, on top of the bath bomb are yellow, pink and blue flower petals. They look so small and delicate and perfect, like fairies placed them there.

Winter Garden bath bomb

I sprayed a good single spray on each fore arm. Right off the bat the scent of different kinds of flowers came alive on my skin. It made me go ‘oooh!’. You have to love the scent of flowers to like this body spray, so if you’re not a florals person you may want to smell this in store if you can first. there is no citrus, fruity notes in this fragrance. Nothing that smells sweet nor anything bakery like. it’s not earthy smelling at all, nor are there any green or woody notes that i can pick out. Just a beautiful layering of florals. It’s smells like a winter wedding bouquet.

While i do like citrus scent, and all scents actually, i am a florals person by nature. Some of my most favorite Lush perfumes and Lush bath products have floral scents. Lush doesn’t make them too much anymore like they used to in the early 2000’s.

That’s why this body spray fragrance is so special to me.

It’s dried down on my arm now and it’s still quiet strong. It still maintains the complexity of the fragrance. it gets a wee bit more powdery as it dries, which is nice actually, it’s not so alcohol-y as it was when wet.

the use by date is October 2024

I will say that the scent is very ylang ylang forward. So if you don’t like ylang ylang..

I always have my husband smell it too and tell me what it smells like to him. My husband said he couldn’t quite tell but that it was nice. i said ‘it’s floral’. I knew he had bad experiences with florals. He tells me of when he was young and his school teacher used to come to his desk wearing a floral perfume that was so obnoxious it made him sick. When i asked him tonight’s s this perfume like your teachers floral perfume?’ He said ‘not at all’. I take that as a good sign. 🙂

I would recommend this. And i would rate it a 4 out of 5 rating.

Lush Jasmine Cream bubble bar

Lush Jasmine Cream bath melt

Lush Winter Garden bath bomb

This bath melt has the same scent as Winter Garden
Jamine Cream bubble bar

Here’s a video that i created where i review, describe, rate each of the five new body sprays including Winter Garden.

Sparkly Pumpkin

These new body sprays come to Lush USA December 17 2020.

I demo and review this in my video below.

Sparkly Pumpkin is one of five body sprays that won the voting process from ten fragrances that we voted on. I didn’t vote for this one 🙂 That said, i do like the bubble bar that it’s named after. I just wanted to vote for the others more is all.

The bubble bar that this fragrance is made from smells more like fruit punch than the body spray. To me the Sparkly Pumpkin body spray seems fruity but with a slight floral/flowery, spicy note. It’s nice, just not as fruit punch-like as the Sparkly pumpkin bubble bar and the Mr. Punch soap.

lush description of the bubble bar:

At the end of a long day, pop this Sparkly Pumpkin into the bath. As you crumble its golden shimmeryness under running water, you’ll feel instantly re-energized. An uplifting blend of juniperberry, grapefruit and lime oils will fill the room with an enticing, cocktail-like punch. And as you sink deep under the glittering gold water, you won’t be able to keep from smiling – probably because this little pumpkin is made to make every day bright.

Mr Punch soap-same scent

In my photo below is the Lush exclusive ‘Sparkly Pumpkin Slime’.

juniper bush with its berries

Unlike some perfumes or body sprays sparkly pumpkin’s fragrance stays pretty much the same when it dries down as when it’s first sprayed. It’s got a decent amount of throw also., even after having dried a bit.

I like this Sparkly pumpkin body spray. I would rate this a 4 out of 5. It smells more like a grown up version of fruit punch 😉

Here’s a video i made reviewing, demoing and describing each of the five exclusive body sprays, including sparkly pumpkin.

Space Girl body spray

Space Girl body spray and Space Girl bath bomb

Space Girl body spray was one of ten favorite Lush product fragrances that Lush had us vote from during their LushLabs voting. Space Girl was one of the five winning product fragrances with the most votes.

I’ve always loved the Space Girl bath bomb when it was sold in stores and i was so bummed when Lush discontinued it. It was made with Black currant, Grapefruit, and bergamot. And it was a pale lilac color with silver glitter mixed in and red glitter dust on top to simulate the planet saturn and its red dust rings. Once inside the water it would release a red glitter which would look like a comet on the bottom of the tub. SO cool.

The space girl fragrance is a fruity scent. It’s citrussy and berryish. Citrussy because of the grapefruit and bergamot, and berryish because of the black currant. Black currant is the main ingredient in ‘The Comforter’ just for reference.

black currant
bergamot
grapefruit
almond essential oil

When i first spray the body spray on my arms it’s of course very strongly scented and alcohol-y. Also, when it’s wet i find that acrid note that some people find off putting in black currant. But once the body spray starts the dry down process on my skin-that acrid note disappears and just the fruity goodness remains.

The almond oil that Lush added to the body spray is nice. It adds a smooth and slightly sweet note to the fruity mix of citrus and berryliciousness.

As far as staying power this is better than most at staying true to it’s fragrance for any length of time once it dries down on the skin.

There’s a somewhat bitter note in between the fruity goodness. So it keeps the fragrance from being too sweet. The resulting scent reminds me of raspberry candy of some sort.

It’s not as sweet and fruity as Roller/Yummy Mummy for instance, but it’s more fruity and sweet than Sparkly Pumpkin.

I would recommend this if you like fruity scents that are different citrus/berry blends.

The scent lasts longer on the skin than Ectoplasm body spray, and about the same as the three others.

.

These are other Lush products with the same scent

Goth Fairy Sparkle massage bar

And a new Lush Harajuku special edition bubble bar ‘Stargazer’.for 2020 sold on the Lush UK and the Lush USA web sites.

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas bath bomb

Dinosaur Egg

Very very frightening shower gel

I would rate this a 4 out of 5 rating.

Here’s a video where i spray on, review and describe these five body sprays.
