Lush Kitchen July 2022 Subscription Box Product Voting – Descriptions & Reviews

Hi there. I made a video describing all of these. I hope it helps 😊

I meant July 2022 sub box, not June.

Here’s my unboxing of what we got 😊

Posh chocolate body wash

5 out of 5 star rating See my Demo Video below

This deliciously self-centred chocolate body wash is packed with aloe vera and glycerine to soften and hydrate delicate skin.

How to use:

Completely vegan friendly, this is a great body wash for dry skin. Scoop out a good handful and inhale the rich cocoa aroma while you work it all over your body then rinse off.

  • VEGAN
  • 100% RECYCLED POT

Deliciously hydrating and softening. Thisis the best product Lush has created in quite awhile. This smells more like straight up chocolate than any of the other chocolate things that Lush has made. It does remind me of the scent of Lush Walter Bunny scrub.

I describe the texture in my video below but it feels like a chocolate mouse in thepot and feels like silk when you rub it on your body.

Plum Duff shower gel

3 out of 5. See my Demo and Review Video below

This is one of three shower gels for Christmas 2021.

The ingredients list lists raisins as the first ingredients. Raisins? I don’t recall any raisins being in the original Plum Duff but 🤷🏼‍♀️

i LOVE this scent. It’s like a sexy but berryish and slightly sweet. Not citrussy, but fruity somewhat like The Comforter is fruity. Its got that same note that is in the Comforter shower gel that some people dont like. It’s a different scent than all the other Lush scent. At one time this was my FAVORITE. It was made in 1999.
😊it’s got tangerine and sandalwood in it as i recall.

like sexy sandalwood mixed with cotton candy or something.

But this Plum Duff shower gel isnt exactly like the original. But its still nice. Its a different scent for Lush Christmas shower gel, which i appreciate.

Here is the Plum Duff scent family

Plum Duff, Sugar Plum, Plum Duff letters, It’s a Date

Supertramp shower gel

4 out of 5 rating.

This shower gel.is exclusive to the Lush Uk Kitchen subscription box.

Its actually made by combining two existing

Lush products: ‘Tramp’ and ‘Smaragadine’.

Tramp is a old lush favorite shower gel that smelled very earthy like a fairy glade. Its main scent notes were patchouli and oakmoss.

Smaragadine was an even older product that was a liquid bubble bath made with mint, lavender, rose petal, sandalwood, oranfe peel, chamomile, petitgrain and ginger.

Ingredients: White Horehound and Peppermint Leaf Infusion, Balm Herb, Rose Petal and Lavender Flower Infusion, Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Fine Sea Salt, Organic Orange Peel Decoction, Patchouli Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Pimento Berry Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Ginger Oil, Plantain Vinegar Gel, Perfume, Methyl Ionone, Eugenol, *Limonene, Linalool, Chlorophyllin, Methylparaben. * Occurs naturally in essential oils

Review: Thick, green and mossy. Doubles as a bubble bath. Very burnt-patchouli/clove scented; if you like the Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds bubble bar, you’ll probably like Supertramp. Scent lingers on the skin for hours after showering. I like it, but not quite as much as Grass.

Lush Kitchen description: An earthy, mystical shower gel that smells like wandering through tall dark pine trees in an enchanted forest over a cool soft carpet of moss. With horehound to cleanse the skin, peppermint to add a warming, fresh top note and the sensual, floral scents of lavender and rose.

So Supertramp has all of these notes. Its a multi layered spa type of scent.

The Supertramp shower gel is a dark green,

thick gel that is calming and soothing.

I woukd say that its one of the best green, earthy shower gels that Lush has made, with the exception of Tramp.

Its a unisex scent that would be liked by both men and women.

The Supertramp in this Lush Kitchen Subscription box is the regular 250g Medium size.

I would recommend and would buy another one if i had the chance.

Heres a video i recorded of the Supertramp shower gel https://youtu.be/3KzOaX_lBlw

Snowflake

4 out of 5 rating

See my demo and review video below.

Snowflake

Firstly, No this does NOT smell like Lush Snowcake body lotion. Its not the Snowcake scent. This has totally different ingredients such as sandalwood, benzoin and Rose water.

This smells pretty, but slightly sexy, and there is also a slightly yummy quality. My skin smells great. Im just gonna say it; i like Snowflake lotion better than Snowcake lotion, so im not disappointed at all that its not snowcake scented.

List of ingredients

“There’s snow need to fear the ravages of winter when this luxurious body lotion is on your side. A lightweight cream with a triple dose of almond thanks to softening almond milk, moisturising Fair Trade almond oil and sweetly scented almond essential oil. Add to that a splash of soothing rose water, cosy benzoin and delicate sandalwood and you’ve got the perfect tonic to quench the thirst of winter parched skin. Evocative of the first snow of the year, dive into this glistening pot of marzipan scented magic and get it all over your body.” Lush Uk

Pirates of the Carageenan

5 out of 5 rating

I demo’d this bath bomb in a 4 minute video below with music for you.

This bomb has a green, woody, earthy scent.its made with carageenan which is a type of sea weed. Its said to aid in softening skin. It does indeed as i found out after my bath.

Lush added patchouli, sandalwood and kombu which is yet another kind of sea weed mixture. It smells like Lush ‘Tramp’ shower gel scent.

The colors are green, yellow, and gold shimmer. The colors combine to make a gorgeous peridot green color.

I used another Lush product, “Demon” bath oil in my bath after i demo’d the Pirates bomb for you. The two combined to make an olive green water with golden sparkle, seen in the very last photo below.

My skin was very soft an hour after my bath when my husband noticed how soft my arms were.

I would recommend this slow fizzing, colorful bomb.

Cilla the Caterpillar

5 out of 5 rating

Lush has recently ooened up their biggest store world wide in liverpool. They introduced 350 new products starting at this store. One of these was this bath bomb.

Lush decided to have them available on their lush.co.uk retail site. Thats where i bought this.

Lush made this in their ‘Vanillary’ perfume scent. Its a yummylicous blend of creamy sweet vanilla tonka bean, grounding sandalwood, and sensual jasmine floral. Just the right amount.

This bath bomb is strong wuth the vanillary scent. Smells like sweet vanilla caramel custard pudding. YUM. Yet theres a subtle sensualness to it because of the sandalwood and jasmine.

Im sorry i didnt buy two.

The green and peach colors combine to make pretty bath art.

The combination ultimately making a peridot green color.

Heres my 3 minute tub video with music for you

Open Your Heart

5 out of 5 rating. See my 2 minute Tub Demo Video below.

This is a WoW bath bomb for Valentines 2019. Its made in the Lush ‘Golden Pear’ fragrance. Its made with pear puree cardamom, and sandalwood.

All of Lush Golden Pear bath products have cocoa butter sandwhiched in the middle and this bar is no exception. This pear and cocoa butter mixture is Wonderful feeling. All silky and moisturizing.

It Smells like a juicy pear.

I love that Lush made this bath bra to look like the outfit that designer Jean Gaultier made for Madonna back in the day.

Usually bubble bath products that have more moisturizing things in them dont produce enough bubbles. But this bubble bar syrprisingly in an exception.

I tried to show in my tub demo just how many hubbles this produced. Very pleased!

The water has a subtle gold shimmer in it and its a light goldrn yellow color.

Im glad i bought more than one.

I would highly recommend this.

Royalty

5 out of 5 rating. See my Tub Demo video of it that I recorded for you below

This is a Lush Cosmetics bath bomb made exclusively for the New Lush Japan Naked ship opening at the beginning of the new year.

Jack Constantine was kind enough to give me one of each of the six exclusive bath bombs. However i had already bought two when i was at the showcase. So i have one left for a Giveaway!

Here’s a Bathtub Demo of it that I recorded for you

Royalty bath bomb is made with jasmine and vanilla. the lush person at the Creative Showcase told me there was also sandalwood in it.

A Gold Crown. What’s not to like?

The scent of Royalty reminds me of The Lush ‘Vanillary’ scent except this adds sandalwood.

See my tub demo of Royalty that i recorded below.

I don’t know if they add condoning things in this bath bomb but it definitely seems to be more conditioning than most lush bath bombs. The water almost becomes milky.

There is a beautiful gold shimmer in the water. Not too much though.

Holey Night

5 out of 5 rating.  Keep in Mind , I LOVE sandalwood.

See my two minute tub demo video below

5 out of 5 rating

I like the play on words.

The scent of this bath bomb surprised me. Its not citrus. Its got rose and sandalwood. It leaves a beautiful floral scent on my skin long after my bath is over after ive dried off.

I recorded this display full of Holey Night bombs at the Lush Creative Showcase event.

Holey night is made with soya milk powder which makes the water a creamier texture. Its quite softening on the skin.

I like the creamy pink and blue foam.

The end result is water with a turquoise hue and silver shimmer.

See my tub demo below

Oh holey night, the moon is brightly shining. This unidentified bath time object is a discovery you don’t want to miss, tune into balancing rose absolute and relaxing sandalwood oil for a journey into the unknown.

Pop into the bath and watch as the colours shift and change with your mood. It’s no hoax that softening soya milk powder lands on the skin with a brightening sunburst of Sicilian lemon oil. Venture to a galaxy far far away in an epic bathroom exploration.

Desert Date

5 out of 5 rating. See my demo video below.

Here’s a photo of mine with my devil duckie.

it smells similar to one of my favorite Lush products ever called ‘Fever’.

desert Date is made with jasmine, sandalwood and rose.

photo below courtesy of @Lushiezzz on Instagram

this is to exfoliate and moisturize in one bar. Much like lush ‘rub rub rub’ or ‘rough with the smooth’ bar, this is made with cocoa butter and illipe butter.

here’s a photo i took of mine below

The scent is a bold floral with a slightly Woody undertone. If you’re familiar with the Lush ‘Fever’ massage bar, ‘Fever’ perfume, or the ‘mirror mirror neck cream then you’ll recognize the sexy scent.

Golden Pear soap

This is the first year (2020) that this Qlush soap doesn’t look just like Pear like in previous years (see in my photos below)

I demo the pear shaped soap in my video below.

It’s made with Agave syrup, pear puree, Cardamom! I live cardamom.

I give this soap a 5 out of 5 rating.

I love this soap. It really does smell like pear. Its made with pear puree as its fitst ingredient. It is also more mpisturizing than other lush Christmas soaps, because sandwhiched between the two halves of this pear is cocoa butter.

Also added is Sandalwood and coconut.

I absolutely love seeing a golden pear at my sink in the bathroom for the holidays.

This is the most expensive of the holiday soaps but its totally worth it!

Photo above courtesy of @squishieplushie on Instagram 🙂

Lush description: On the twelfth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:

A jar of pear purée
Murumuru butter
Warming cardamom oil
Some agave syrup
Brazillian orange oil
Organic cocoa butter
A drop of almond oil
Five Golden things!
Sandalwood oil
Creamy coconut
A whole organic clove…
…Are all part of Golden Pear soap

This pear-fect little soap creates a luxurious lather on the skin. Pear purée and cardamom oil cover skin in a scent reminiscent of warm fruit desserts and spiced cakes while murumuru butter moisturises and softens skin. A classy addition to any Christmas bath or shower. Wrap in a knot wrap and hide in the tree’s branches for a sumptuously scented treat.

Here is a demo and review of Golden Pear that i recorded

My photos of my Golden Pear below

Lush Uk at lush.co.uk made these exclusive bath bombs in the same golden pear scent. So we have a soap, a bath bomb, a bubble bar, a body spray, and some exclusive Golden Pear mouthwash tabs i got from Alessandro at the Creative Showcase event.

my Scent Family Photo

As i show in my photo below..One year, for Valentines, Lush made the madonna gaultier pointy bra looking bubble bars in the Golden Pear scent. 😊

29 High Street shower gel

Made in the Lush Kitchen Friday July 28

I love this shower gel.  It’s a nice thick consistency.  It has great throw so you can smell the lovely scent all while you’re showering with it.  It’s lovely scent stays on the skin a bit longer than other lush shower gels.

It’s not particularly moisturizing, and doesn’t have any cocoa butter.  Nor does this shower gel have any glitter.

The 29 High Street was made to have the scent of a Lush store.  So various lush store favorites are represented here, honey i washed the kids, karma, avobath, etc.

To me it smells like a strong blend of sweet orangey and floral notes.

Because of these things, and also because this shower gel is so rare, I would rate this shower gel a 5 out of 5 rating.  I would highly recommend it.  I bought six bottles.

Here’s a demo and review video i made of this shower gel

here is a scent family portrait I created, with all the products Lush has made with this same fragrance.

Rainbow Worrier

4 out of 5 rating

see my tub demo video below

The scent is very earthy. not sweet. not fruity. not floral. not yummy. Earthy and kind of incense-y.

If you like products like Tramp or Karma you might like this

I did not think I was going to like this because of the original comparison to Middle Earth soap. When it is fizzing It looks like an egg cracked in the middle and this pink candy looking stuff I spewing out of it in the middle. Oh yeah, and there’s a fortune in it. Very cool. Update: I thought the pink one in my review above looked like a pink egg, this yellow one really looks like like an egg. Wow. I still love the earthy, sandalwood scent it lasts on the skin, and the colors are great. Vegan 6.3oz

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Titanium Dioxide, Cocamide DEA, Propylene Glycol. May contain Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), FD&C Red No. 4, FD&C Blue No. 1

Lush Times 2006 description: The thing about the Rainbow Worrier is that you don’t know until you use it what colour it’s going to turn your bath. It could be blue or yellow or it could be pink. If the unpredictability of the Rainbow Worrier excites you then you probably need one to calm down your natural exuberance. If you are the control freak type who NEEDS TO KNOW in advance whether your bath is going to be blue or yellow or pink then you need one too. Its smoky fragrance of almost excessively calming Easter vetivert and sandalwood wipes worries from furrowed brows. All you have to do is to stay in the bath long enough to relax fully. If you share a home with a worrier, we suggest that you lock them in the bathroom with one of these until they have calmed down enough to stop worrying about being allowed out.

Here’s a demo and review video i made of rainbow worrier in the tub

Tuca Tuca

This has the same scent as the Lush shower gel called “Don’t Rain on my Parade”.

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter , Shea Butter , Perfume, Fresh Rose Petal Extract , Cassie Absolute , Vanilla Absolute , Sandalwood Oil , Vetivert Oil , Violet Leaf Absolute , Ylang Ylang Oil  *Benzyl Salicylate, *Cinnamal, *Coumarin, *Eugenol, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Farnesol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Titanium Dioxide,Colour 77019, Colour 77007

Lush Times: GRAB YOUR PARTNER…It has a soothing extract of fresh rose petals, moisturising cocoa and shea butters, and a seductive violet scent that flirts with sensuality. It’s a massage experience that will do all the work for you. Grab the bar, dim the lights, and tuca tuca! After the song inspired such raucous enthusiasm, it seemed almost absurd not to have a Tuca Tuca Massage Bar to get people touching each other.

Uluru shower gel

This shower gel smells just like the bath bomb.  Orange oil, sandalwood, it’s refreshing but sexy and quieting all at the same time.  I go e this a 4.5 out of 5

Here’s an Uluru scent family portrait i took

Here’s a demo video i made of the shower gel

Choco La La

Ingredients: Dark Chocolate, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Violet Leaf Absolute (Viola odorata), Perfume.

Lush Times description: It IS real orange, sandalwood and violet leaf scent that are put into Choco La La and not ‘plastic’; as some of people have commented. They probably don’t realize that many of the scents they think are ‘natural’ are made in test tubes. If you try out this massage bar, you will experience the incomparable feeling of warmed cocoa butter and chocolate being smoothed into the skin, smell the revitalizing orange oil, the sandalwood to encourage relaxation and violet leaf to remember how to enjoy your sensuality. Do you get it? Perhaps it may be a little messy but it does wash out of your sheets and linen. Tap into your sense of adventure!

Here’s a demo & review video i made of Lush Choco La La massage bar

Review: This is definitely one of my favorite lush massage bars. It looks like a little fancy chocolate dessert. It smells of chocolate (real chocolate smell, not fake chocolate) and violet leaf absolute (Daddy O, Bathos, Retread) It’s grittier than a lot of bars because of the chocolate. It harder to rub in to your partners skin than other lush massage bars, so you have to rub it in longer to get the brown chocolate rubbed in the skin. I’d give this a 3.5 rating
