Mirror Mirror neck cream

Fever perfume

Fever soap (i won a contest so they created this and gave it to me)

Review:The original bar was two toned. Later lush changed it’s appearance to be round and having red lips on top of the bar. Fever smells strongly of rose absolute, but it smells like real roses, as if from a rose bush, or the rose smell of a florist shop. It also has beautiful Jasmine and calming sandalwood. I think it smells like 1950’s lipstick in a good way. In a wonderfulyl heady but addictive way. When I first sniffed this, I didn’t like it. It was waaay too strong for me. I think it was in the 2nd order I made with Lush and I was not used to Lush’s real, non-synthetic fragrances. Now it is one of my favorite bars ever. Later on, Lush made “Hollywood” Christmas bubble bar in the Fever scent by the way and Lush’s “Mirror Mirror” neck cream has the Fever scent also. Fever is absolutely intoxicating. And for you BPAL lovers, Beth’s Tarot: “The Empress” is a dead on ringer for Fever. Both have jasmine, rose and sandalwood.

Fever Bubble bar

Lush Times 2005 description: In the 1950s some new aromas were invented which changed the olfactory shape of perfume for ever. In Fever we’ve used one of them, with some of our favourite floras to produce a fragrance that epitomizes the scent for the 1950s independent women, shaking off traditions and exploring the brave new world. Picture yourself in dark sunglasses, pink lipstick and fitted sweater, scented with rose, warming sandalwood and sensual jasmine, ready to defy convention and enjoy life to the full. Fever is the massage bar to use on the sweet new guy in town to help him to cut loose and get hip.

Inhale Exhale

5 out of 5

See my demo video (below) of this in the tub 🙂

Description: Inhale is a light and fruity fragrance with with neroli, rose, vetivert and ylang ylang, Exhale has a more intense woody and smoky aroma with sandalwood, cedarwood, amber, and a hint of grapefruit.  Drop your bath bomb into the warm water to enjoy the effect of one, then the other, and finally both fragrances together as they waft through the steam to create the exquisite, perfectly balanced Breath of God.

This is truly one of my favorite bath bombs.

VEGAN? YES

3.25 gbp

Ingredients: citric acid, Neroli oil, Ylang Ylang oil, Black pepper oil, Sandalwood oil, Vetivert, Cedarwood oil, Lemon oil, Grapefruit oil, Cade oil, Cream of tartar, Cornflour, sodium laureth sulfate, lauryl betaine, Coumarin, hydroxyxitronellal, methyl Ionene, *limonene, *linalool, Perfume, colour 17200, colour 42090, colour 45410, colour 16255, Paper Slip.

Lush Times: This is a bath bomb of two halves; created with the two halves of our Breath of God fragrance, Inhale and Exhale. Each half will fizz at different speeds. The Inhale half fizzes quickly, allowing you to breathe in the neroli and rose  oils, breathe in and relax. You can then lie back and enjoy the grounding effect of Exhale, which fizzes more slowly to allow the opportunity for a long-lasting, indulgent bath.

Ickle Baby Devil

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Lavender Oil (Lavendula hybrida), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Chamomile Oil (Anthemis nobilis), Perfume, Colour 61585, Colour 18050.

This is a smaller bath bomb, for children. It has the same scent as the current tickle baby bot bath bomb that Lush sells now in stores. I once bought 30 of these at a time because i liked the scent so much; sandalwood, lavender, chamomile. I used these in my kids baths when they were little.

Aqua Mirabilis body butter scrub bar

5 out of 5

original design

Above is the original which i rate a 5 out of 5 rating even though its very small

and the redesigned square thing they turned it into later i rate 3 out of 5.

I will NEVER get over this.

Aqua-Mirabilis

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter , Almond Butter ,
Ground Almond Shells, Sandalwood Oil, Rose Absolute, Perfume

This is a square, solid cocoa butter with ground almond shells for exfoliation.  It has a rose, almond, sandalwood scent.  I like it.  I bought one every now and then.

How to use:  You take a shower with soap or shower gel as usual, then after rinsing, rub this (not too hard) on your skin all over, and then rinse off in warm/hot water.  That’s it!

Lush 2005 descrption: “The Aqua Mirabilis is now even more of a miracle. New, improved Aqua Mirabilis is BIGGER! (yeah its bigger but no apricot kernel oil and fizzing marigold foam on top like the original).

Hooray! Now you can scrub generously all over and not worry about it running out before you reach your toes. If you ever treat yourself and get a scrub at a spa, the beauty therapists expect to exfoliate away huge swathes of dead skin. If you regularly give yourself an Aqua Mirabilis softening scrub, with its gently exfoliating ground almond shells, they are astonished to find that you’ve already got lovely, soft, fresh, healthy skin with hardly a dead grey cell there at all. The Aqua Mirabilis turns your bath or your shower into an instant, bargain body therapy. We make it with sandalwood and rose perfumes to soften your skin, cocoa butter and apricot kernel oil to moisturise it, plus natural ground almonds to scrub you even softer. You will feel fantastic after using one of these. Promise.”

Review: The original products called “Aqua Mirabilis Underwater Massage bar did triple duty; scrub, melt, massage, ballistic. It was very small and dainty, like something fairies would make. It had apricot oil peach colored ballistic ‘crust’ which would fizz in the bath, and some sprinkles of marigold flowers on the top and also had marigold flowers mixed up in the coco butter inner layer. And it smelled of real roses and sandalwood. I like the original MUCH better.  Suffice it to say it took a few years for me to use of these redesigned body butter squares. If you have dry or bumpy skin I would suggest this Aqua Mirabilis scrub or the other square scrub called Buffy the Backside Slayer.  Aqua Mirabilis does make ones skin incredibley soft and smooth.

Though i cant forgive Lush for destroying my Preciousss…I do like these cocoa butter scrub squares much better than those harder, dome shaped sugar scrubs that Lush has also made.

Here is what the original “Aqua Mirabilis Underwater Massage Bar looked like.

Whitewash smoothie

5 out of 5 rating

see my demo video on the bottom this page.

LushWhitewashOrangeSmoothieReview: This is the Queen of smoothies in alot of old time Lushies opinions, mine included. It has the same scent as Lush’s “Floating Island” bath melt. vaguely lemony with a bit of sandalwood. It looks like plumbers putty, but the consistency is ohhhh… (:-)…soooo rich. If you took a tub of whipped (not block style) cream cheese and dunked your hand into it, that’s what the consistency of White Wash smoothie is. And then after you put this glob on your bod, you realize that it starts slowly melting at body temperature and it becomes a smoothe, melting, creamy mass of hedonistic goodness.

Notes: Lush also made a Whitewash smoothie with orange oil instead of lemon oil. The Lush purists love the lemon and oil original version more, and I love the lemon version too, but I must admit to liking the orange version more, as naturally I would.
Here’s a demo video i made of Whitewash smoothie and Gumback smoothie.

Beautiful Pea Green

Lush Spring 1999 UK description: Beautiful P Green Soap is very, very green – coloured with spinach and chlorophyll – made in a big block which looks rather like a deep, translucent freshwater pond with flowers and leaves floating on top. Fortunately, it doesn’t smell like one. However, it does have a deep, dark green scent [for those of you who smell in colour] with sandalwood, benzoin and a hint of tangerine, providing the delicious odour. Continuing the poetry theme, this one was inspired by The Owl and the Pussycat who, you may remember, went to sea in a beautiful pea green boat. (You get a slice off the 25 kilogram pond, not the whole thing, so you may get a slice of waxed flower or leaf.

(Dark leafy greens, light fruity note and slightly incensey)

VEGAN: Yes

Ingredients: vegetable soap, propylene glycol, water, perfume, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium stearate, fresh spinach, sandalwood oil, tangerine oil, gardenia extract, chlorophyll, chrysanthemum flowers, labdanum.

Lemon Days and Ginger Beer

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Lemon Peel, Powdered Ginger, Perfume, Ginger Oil,  Mimosa Absolute, Red Mandarin Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Geranium Oil , Bergamot Oil, Gardenia Extract , Colour 19140.

Review: This ballistic was discontinued about as quickly as it came out. Loads of people liked it on the forum but I guess it just didn’t sell at all and was pulled a few months after introduction. It smells like the perfume Ginger, highly floral rose but it has a strong lemony top note also. I wouldn’t normally like this combo but Lush also includes Sandalwood, Mimosa (like is in 17 Cherry Tree Lane soap and Sakura ballistic) , and also some red mandarin oil. So while i don’t hate it, i don’t love it either. It’s quite strong when fresh and the red mandarin orange oil and sandalwood is covered up by the fresh ginger and lemon scent, but when this ballistic mellows a bit it’s lovely. It makes bright yellow water.  3 stars.

Lush Times 2004 Description: How about a jolly bathtime adventure with lashings of ginger and lemon? Drop into a pre-run bath for a refreshing ginger fizz and lemonade experience.

Grass

Lush Description: Get Twiggy with it.  Have a field day with this verdant bubble bar.  It’s like cloud watching in a meadow.

Ingredients:  perfume, spring green lustre color, Bergamot oil, Neroli oil, sandalwood

Review:  This bubble bar is made from the scent of their now discontinued shower gel named ‘Grass’. People who love grass shower gel would love this bubble bar as the scent is exactly like the shower gel. It’s not quite an earthy green, or an oakmossy green, like ‘Tramp’, but a nice, spring grass scent.   Not only is it pretty, but it makes the water a gorgeous shade of green.

I was saving my grass bubble bar but since the lush Kitchen is making some i’ll use this one from Oxford Street so i can record it for you so you can see what it looks like before it comes up in the kitchen,

Absolute Delight

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Geranium Bourbon Oil (Pelargonium crispum), Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum officinale), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Perfume, Colour 18050.

Rose that smells a little sweet like candy and is also a powdery rose scent. It’s supposed to smell like the candy “Turkish Delight” and it does, but I still can’t get into this. Is it a floral? Is it candy? It was okay but didn’t really excite me a whole bunch. Pretty pink colored water.

Product description from Early Fall 2003 LT (Hard):

If the Sex Bomb is the ballistic you’d take out on a hot date, then the Absolute Delight is the one you’d want to spend the rest of your life with. It may not be quite so bright and flashy – “obvious” as my gran would have put it – but it is gentle, kind, and lovely, the kind of ballistic you’ll never tire of coming home to. We scent it with Turkish rose absolute, the perfume made from fresh rose petals, with balancing geranium, with a touch of relaxing sandalwood and sesnual jasmine and as it looks a little like Turkish delight (the rose scented sweetie dusted with icing sugar*) we thought that Absolute Delight would be a very appropriate name for it.

From the Festive Christmas Issue 2003 LT (Inhale):

Often when we use the words “absolutely delightful,” we mean “quite nice,” really, but occasionally we find something which really deserves the compliment. If we are being strictly literal about it, the Absolute Delight deserves its name because it is scented with Turkish rose absolute, a perfume made from rose petals. However, we can also justify calling it that because it gives you a truly lovely bathing experience. It’s not full of petals or glitter; it merely makes bath time a gorgeously sensual, relaxing treat which makes you feel wonderful.

Soot Ball

Product Story

See my 3 minute video of this below.

Earlier this year, the Gorilla Perfume team hosted a ‘scented cinema’ event at which Hayao Miyazaki’s film Spirited Away was shown. This bath bomb is inspired by the ‘soot gremlins’ from his films – little creatures that dwell in the shadows of houses that, when crushed between the hands, dissolve into black soot.

Description:

He’s watching you…!

Let this surprising little bath bomb spirit you away into a golden, lustre-filled bath.

Don’t worry, Soot Ball won’t turn your bath water black – instead we’ve filled this bath bomb with radiant golden lustre, to feel as though you’re bathing in luxurious liquid gold. The olibanum (frankincense) is known for its calming and grounding effect on the mind, whilst the burnt caramel scent of tonka absolute and earthy sandalwood oil together create a sweet, spicy fragrance that wafts through the steam.

Here’s the video i made of this gorgeous little Soot Ball in the bath.

Quantitative Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Tonka Absolute, Australian Organic Sandalwood Oil, Fair Trade Columbian Cocoa Butter, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Olibanum Retinoid (Frankincense), Benzoin Resinoid, Perfume, Radiant Gold Lustre, Paper Eyes
