Happy shower gel

(not to be confused with Happy 4 SAD shower gel, which is different, and being voted for the Lush monthly subscription box)

5 out of 5 rating. See my demo, description & review video below.

Happy

One of two new shower gels this Christmas.

This smells like fruity bubblegum. Thats exactly what it smells like to me. I was surprised. Its made with lemon oil, orange oil and neroli oil. It also has wLnut leaf and dandelion root infusion.

Its a blue-green, medium thick gel with lots of multi colored shimmer.

Because of the ingredients i expected this to smell more citrussy, but its sweeter than i expected.

If you like fruity bubblegum you’ll like this shower gel.

Not Sleepy shower bomb

I give this a 4 out of 5 rating.

This is one of the #LushLabs exclusive, limited edition shower bombs. Not to be confused with the Lush Labs new ‘Atmospheres’ shower gels.

This one of 10 completely different Lush shower bombs.

This is not to be confused with a Lush shower emotibomb, which is placed on the shower floor.

No, these shower bombs are for washing with.

I do a wet demo of it here in the 56 second video sink demo below.

Lush Labs at lush.co.uk has made four difderent kinds/scents of these new shower bombs; sleepy, not sleepy, karma, and kowataskaati.

This one, not sleepy, is for waking up. Its got lemon, lime and orange oils in it which are said to promote alertness and mental clarity.

After asking what the scent was i was told that Its a new scent that Mark Constantine made for this shower bomb.

The product is not cocoa butter based. It feels like a bath bomb. Maybe a firmer kind of bath bomb.

This will definitely last more than one shower.

The scent isn’t weak but its not very strong either.

The foam feels very nice. If you have sensitive skin just get some foam on your hands first, then apply to your body.

It rinses off very easily.

Then just towel yourself dry and thats it.

Its not gimmick-y, this seems to actually work with just adding water.

And its totally packageless.

Igloo

4 out of 5 rating

Has rose oil and sicilian lemon.

See my demo video of my Igloo soap below

Here’s the 500g brick i got in mail order from lush.co.uk for 19-20 dollars.  They also sell a single size soap 100g, and a 250 piece.  Alternatively, you can go to your nearest Lush store and pick any piece you want from the giant store version.

Hand of Friendship

A beautiful design with a beautiful message
Made with skin-softening coconut and almond essential oils, Hand Of Friendship Soap is a cherry blossom-scented sudser that will help us all share a beautiful message to our new neighbors. For every bar sold, we’re donating 100% of the sales to our Friendship Fund, which will help various organizations provide relief to the most pressing needs of refugees arriving in North America.

This is a very pretty soap.  Initially i was worried because my nose only picked up the two woody notes in this soap. However, after picking it up and smelling it 20 times i smelled a definite cherish note. And then once i smelled the cherry that’s what i primarily smell now, and the initial prominence of the woody notes drift to the background. Now when i pick it up it’s quite lovely and a bit yummyish as well. I would buy more than one of this soap.

This was noticeable more moisturizing than other soaps.  So my rating would be a 4-4.5 out of 5.

I took a couple of photos so you can see what it looks like.  As you can see i bought multiples.

Bunch of Carrots

(has the same scent as the Christmas ‘Snowman’ Fun bar, and ‘Snowman’ jelly

Dig up the dirt on refreshing tropical bathing with this adorable trio of carrots. Hold one of these reusable carrots under running water to send bubbly clouds of buchu, lemon and grapefruit oils scurrying across your bath, and then pop it on the side for next time. The distinctive, bright colours of this heritage bunch make it an attractive addition to Easter baskets and Easter bathtimes alike.

Inhale Exhale

5 out of 5

See my demo video (below) of this in the tub 🙂

Description: Inhale is a light and fruity fragrance with with neroli, rose, vetivert and ylang ylang, Exhale has a more intense woody and smoky aroma with sandalwood, cedarwood, amber, and a hint of grapefruit.  Drop your bath bomb into the warm water to enjoy the effect of one, then the other, and finally both fragrances together as they waft through the steam to create the exquisite, perfectly balanced Breath of God.

This is truly one of my favorite bath bombs.

VEGAN? YES

3.25 gbp

Ingredients: citric acid, Neroli oil, Ylang Ylang oil, Black pepper oil, Sandalwood oil, Vetivert, Cedarwood oil, Lemon oil, Grapefruit oil, Cade oil, Cream of tartar, Cornflour, sodium laureth sulfate, lauryl betaine, Coumarin, hydroxyxitronellal, methyl Ionene, *limonene, *linalool, Perfume, colour 17200, colour 42090, colour 45410, colour 16255, Paper Slip.

Lush Times: This is a bath bomb of two halves; created with the two halves of our Breath of God fragrance, Inhale and Exhale. Each half will fizz at different speeds. The Inhale half fizzes quickly, allowing you to breathe in the neroli and rose  oils, breathe in and relax. You can then lie back and enjoy the grounding effect of Exhale, which fizzes more slowly to allow the opportunity for a long-lasting, indulgent bath.

This is the same as the previous years “Immaculate Eggception’.  Here are a couple of pics i took of it

If this sweet and citrussy bath bomb can’t answer the age-old question then what can? Crack open the generously-sized pink egg to coax out the chick inside and enjoy three egg-cellent soaks over a couple of nights. Or, if you fancy something really decadent, use the entire bomb at once to infuse your bath water with deliciously sweet, fuchsia waters brimming over with fruity fragrance. What did the chicken cross the road? To get to the bathroom of course!

Green and Gold

I was lucky enough to have a kind person buy one for me while she was there so I could pay her back and she sent it to me, along with a couple of other Lush soaps from Oxford Street. I have a sink demo video of Green and Gold soap below.

4 out of 5 rating.   See my demo and review video of this soap below.

This smells just like the Avobath bath bomb or even the you’ve been mangoed bath oil. It has lemongrass and it smells so wonderful.

The Green and Gold soap display in the Lush Oxford Street superstore

Green and Gold was only sold at the Lush Oxford Street superstore from 2014-2017

It was a beautiful soap with green around the outside and strips of gold too. Inside the soap was a yellowish gold color. In the stores the whole soap were long cylindrical poles, so Lush would cut customers a 100g piece off of the giant long piece. Unless you wanted to buy the whole soap.

Here’s a video demo i did of this soap

Limelight toothy tabs

Here’s a video demo/review i made of these Limelight toothy tabs.

Lush description:  Make an Entrance

All the worlds a stage.  Get ready for your big moment with super citrusy lime oil.

File Oct 19, 5 42 36 PM

This has lime, lemon and almond oil.  The shimmery green color is pretty.  While these were pleasant, they’re not my favorite of the 5 new Lush toothy tabs debuting first at Lush Oxford Street store.  As i said in my video it’s not bad, it’s not fabulous, but somewhere in the middle.  I didn’t taste as much lime as i thought i would considering the tastiness of the other toothy tabs i’ve tried. Still it made my mouth feel squeaky clean.

Here’s a video demo i made of Limelight toothy tabs. See my other toothy tab demos: Bling, Oral Pleasure, Tooth Fairy, Miles of Smiles.

Amandapando

Ingredients: £2.15 100g Sodium Bicarbonate, Perfume, Pink Rosebud, Lemon Oil, Orange Oil, Rose Absolute.

Review: The blend of rose and an orangey citrus is wonderful. Not a strong scent, more sublime. I wish they’d make a perfume out of this one.

The heart shaped Amandopondo soap on the left came in the giant 1000g Lush gift “Pink Caroline” ballistic. (see under gifts).

Lush Times 2006 Description: The Amandopondo bar has a little history. Its name means (we think) ‘I am defeated’ and it was made to commemorate the time when someone copied Lush products then tried to sue us for using his ideas – the cheek of it – on Christmas Eve!! Now didn’t that just spoil Lush’s Christmas Day? When he lost the case there was a little clause in the settlement that made him send six roses to say ‘sorry’. Hence, the Amandopondo is made with rose absolute perfume and topped with a real rosebud and it is our best little gift for saying ‘sorry’ to someone. It also smells of refreshing lemons, used to produce clarity of thought, and revitalising oranges to revive and calm the mind. An Amandopondo bath is an excellent way to forgive and forget whatever went wrong and start afresh.

Fern Shui

DC’ed 1999

VEGAN:

Ingredients: bicarb, citric acid, perfume, lemon oil, lemongrass oil, litsea cubeba oil, fern (aspidum s.p.), lemongrass, lime leaves, gardenia extract

Lush 1999 description:
A fresh, tangy but mellow bomb full of ferns and pieces of lemon grass, reminscent of a walk through a forest. As the water runs away you can read the pattern which the fern leaves make on the bath, like reading your fortune in tea leaves in the bottom of a cup. This is Lush’s homage to daft fads. It is scented with delightful lemon grass oil, which we shall continue to use long after the current trend for sticking it in every dish in astonishingly expensive London restaurants has long since been forgotten.

I was surprised at how much plant material thereis in this bath bomb. It definitely lives up to it’s name. Tons of plant stuff.
Alsosurprising to me is the smell. I love the smell. It’s not like anything i’ve smelled before bath bomb wise. It’s fresh, lemongrass and the pleasant smell of greenery. The first time i used this bath bomb i didn’t use anything to contain the pieces of ferns. The second time i used this is got a small kitchen strainer and put the bomb in there so i got just the water, not the plants.

Cherry Blossom

5 out of 5 rating

This gets my vote for prettiest Lush bubble bar.

This is lovely and smells of rosewood, cedarwood and lemon oil.   It smells sweet and lovely.

Lovely, delicate pink bubbles.  It’s more conditioning than most lush bubble bars.

This leaves a silver- pink glittery shimmer in the water.  This bubble bar has the whole package.  I was surprised that it made the bath water moisturizing as well as fairy-like.  It smells slightly perfumey, and woody, but the woodiness is tempered by the bright lemon.

Video showing the pink and silver water is below

The nice thing about this bubble bar is that it comes with two bars on one stick.  It falls into the category “almost too pretty to use’.  I bought multiple.  I bought 4 or 5 of them, so even though i’ve used them i still have my ‘display’ cherry blossom. 🙂

Big Blue

Review: This is a classic,  if not THE classic,  Lush product.  If I had to use one word to describe this, I’d say “refreshing”. It’s just like the ocean and has a stupifying deep blue color. Big Blue has a strong scent and has been known to make a couple of people headachey but it is totally invigorating and “spa-like” to me. And relaxing too. Big Blue ballistic has been a popular Lush item for years and years for a reason. The only down side is the small seaweed pieces to cleanup but if you really don’t like them you can put the ballistic in a nylon stocking or a giant teaball that you sometimes find in kitchen stores. I like the seaweed because it really is skin softening (so is the sea salt in Big Blue) and I have dry skin so my skin feels really good after a bath with Big Blue. This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_5251.jpg

Notes: “Bubbling Under” was the bubble bar that Lush made to go with Big Blue. Lush’s “Enchanted Island” bath melt also has this same ocean/sea/lavender/lemon scent.

Lush Times 2006 description: Be aware that the Big Blue gives you the full Pacific Ocean experience, complete with strands of mineral rich seaweed (but stopping short of the actual fish). This bright blue Ballistic, topped with a crust of stimulating sea salt gives you a deep turquoise blue bath scented with balancing lavender and stimulating lemon oil to refresh your mind and body almost as much as a holiday by the warm ocean. Bear in mind that the Big Blue is a lot cheaper, there’s no jet lag and you don’t have to eat aeroplane food. This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_5253.jpg

Ingredients: 200g (6.3 oz) $4.75

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Atlantic Sea Salt Crystals, Perfume, Arame Seaweed, Lemon Oil, Lavender Oil, Seaweed Absolute, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Yellow No. 5.
