Video of this in the tub below.
Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Atlantic Sea Salt (Sodium chloride), Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Desert Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeordoro), Lemon Myrtle Oil (Myrtus communis), Eastern Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Colour 18050.
Review: This is sexy, incense-y, citrus scent. Uluru has many layers to it’s beauty. It’s feminine, citrussy and bright smelling, then you notice the water is bright pink, then you notice swirls of orange and these two swirling colors mix to form a lovely deep coral colored water.
There’s also the sensual smell of the rose wood (somewhat similar to sandalwood) that wafts up to your nose and makes me say “Mmmm…”. Nice layers to this scent, hence, a wildly popular ballistic in it’s day. I like the color, it’s an original color like not other ballistic Lush has made.
Lush Times 2004 description: For sheer, breathtaking beauty you’d be hard pressed to beat an Australian desert sunset, with wild pinks and oranges filling the sky as the sun sets over the raw landscape.Attempting to capture this beauty in a Bath Ballistic is something that only the most imaginative (or nutty) of people would attempt. Fortunately, one Mo Constantine is that woman! While her lad was off on his gap year travels in Australia, Mo made the Uluru inspired by a photograph in a book he sent home. It’s taken a while to get the Ayers Rock perfected as we wanted the exact fragrance to match the wild orange and pink colours. Eventually (and it’s worth the wait, believe us) we arrived at the ideal combination of Australian sandalwood and desert rosewood oils, with lemon myrtle, orange and a bunch of unusual (secret) fragrances to capture the feeling we wanted. Close your eyes and imagine the calming, soothing but uplifting feeling of watching the sun set over the desert; now imagine that recreated in the bath! Those with a lot of imagnation will now want to be buying a few Ayers Rocks to experience the feeling. Those with not much had better buy a few to see what we mean.
Here’s a link to a youtube video I made of the “Big Bang” bubble bar in the tub. I like the bright, sweet citrus smell, and the colors of the blue bar itself, and the pink bath melt part in the middle…It’s irresistable to anyone, and everyone.
Lush description: It started with a bang – Start baths off with a lemon myrtle bang. Lie back and think of the universe.
I took pictures of two different bars. The pink melty part melted on the one in the photos below, but it looks kind of cool.
Ingredients: Avocado butter, perfume, grapefruit oil, organic lemon myrtle oil, tangerine oil, extra virgin olive oil (bath melt), rice syrup.
