Green Day

5 out of 5 ratingGreen Day is a lovely deep forest green bar. The scent of Green Day seems to be Lush’s answer to our cries to make more “green” smelling or “earthy” smelling products. This smells like a scent the guys would like too. This is more of a bright, woodsy green. Not really a grassy scent. Green Day gives the water a medium deep green color. The smell lasts on the skin awhile too. Green Day does not smell like any Lush product ive had in awile.

Perfume, Cocamide DEA, Patchouli Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Nettle Absolute, Clary Sage Oil

I would say it smells as if “Bamboo” soap and “Tramp” gel, mated and had a baby.

Lush 2006 description: Take a good soak in a clarifyingly woody patchouli, nettle, clary sage and cedarwood bath. Green Days brings the calm and stillness of the forest to your bathroom.

Melusine

5 out of 5 rating See my 2 minute tub demo of this gorgeous bath bomb below 🙂

According to Wikipedia

Melusine (French: [melyzin]) or Melusina is a figure of European folklore and mythology(mostly Celtic), a female spirit of fresh water in a sacred spring or river. She is usually depicted as a woman who is a serpent or fish from the waist down (much like a mermaid). She is also sometimes illustrated with wings, two tails, or both.

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs.

One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is this Melusine.

This bomb was made with their fan favourite ‘Avocado Co Wash shampoo’ scent. Its made with litsea cubeba, which is a lemony smelling herb. Reminds me of lemon grass. Its also got frankincense (olibanum), which has also always smelled lemony at times to me.

Altogether Its more of a sweet and sour citrus scent. Its a strong scent.

Description; If you’re feeling like a nervous wreck, drop Melusine a line. This mesmerising mermaid bath bomb is sure to make waves. Sweet lemony litsea cubeba and cheerful bergamot oil lift your senses, while olibanum will have you floating in no time. Finally a pinch of carrageenan extract hydrates the skin, delivering a hefty dose of vitamin sea. Watch as your cares drift away.

Because its a slower, foamier type of bomb, which lends tomy relaxation, and also because of the beautiful color and glitter, and the fact that the fragrance is good and strong in this bath bomb-i give it a 5 out of 5 rating.

Lush also made an exclusive perfume ‘Avocado Wash’ and sold it at lush.co.uk

Puddy Holly

4 out of 5 rating

£4.95/$6.49
This is not a returning product but is new.

This smells yummier than i thought it would. I thought it might be spicy like lush holly go lightly but Puddy Holly smells different, like a yummy almond and vanilla dessert.

Puddy Holly is made with Tonka. Tonks bean smells much like vanilla onky a bit carmely.

Its not a strong heavy scent but more of a medium light scent.

Its got conditioning cocoa butter sandwhiched in the middle, which is moisturizing to my uber dry skin.

I like the pretty emerald colored water it gives.

There is also a bit of silver sparkle. Not a large amount though, its every so slight.

I would buy another, but i wouldn’t stock up on them. Thats why i give this bubble bar a 4 out of 5 rating.

Description: Have a holly, jolly bathtime,
Almond oil sweetens your day!
Water a-glow with bubble mountains of snow
And soothing slicks of shea.

Have a holly, jolly bathtime
In a marzipan scented dream.
Soft cocoa butter on your toes,
And fifty shades of green.

Have a holly, jolly bathtime
Let bergamot give you cheer.
Oh by golly have a holly jolly bathtime
This year!

Here is a demo of it in the tub that i recorded for you

Under the Umbrella Tree

I would rate this bath bomb a 4 out of 5 rating

This is a cute bath bomb.   I love the tree shape of it.

This was made with the Lush “Breath of God’ fragrance.

The fragrance is a combination of two Lush scents “Inhale’ and ‘Exhale’.

There are masculine notes such as cedar wood, sandalwood,, and feminine notes such as rose. Together they form the classic Breath of God fragrance, which Lush has sold since 2008. Men would like it but women would like it too It’s both earthy and airy in the same fragrance.

Lush has made a bath bomb In the past called “Inhale Exhale‘ with a similar fragrance.

The bath bomb is a fast fizzes and makes a beautiful, not often seen, lime green water.  So uplifting and hopeful, like Spring.

Tree D

4 out of 5 rating. Made with the Ectoplasm bath bomb fragrance of tangeeine, grapefruit and litsea cubeba.. see my tub demo below.

I love that this is a 3D bath melt of a tree. Thus the name ‘Tree D’. We can use one piece or both pieces for one bath.

I’m full on addicted to this citrussy scent.

Play doze

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar (Tartaric acid), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Cocamide DEA, Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Cardamom Oil (Elettaria cardamomum), Lavender Oil (Lavendula hybrida), Fennel Oil (Foeniculum vulgare), Perfume, Colour 59040.

Review: Lush made this for kids, to help calm them before bedtime. It’s a nuclear yellow green bar that makes nuclear yellow green water. Strong lovely lavender smell. This is fun and useful if you need bubbles that have lavender in them. We have French Kiss now but kids loved these, I guess it just wasn’t enough kids so they discontinued this one too. It was good for adults too I thought. Alo tof people didn’t like the color or they didn’t like the color on the tub afterwards or something. I never had a problem with it. I liked it.
Lush Times Spring 2004 description: A bright, BRIGHT bath for the over-energetic over-sevens to quieten them down for bedtime. Play Doze works in many ways. It is a shockingly bright, fluorescent yellow in colour; this is our secret plan to make children want to have it in their baths. In it, we mix up an effective blend of extremely calming essential oils – lots of lavender and ylang, waming cardamon and fennel to clear their busy heads – so that they will quieten down ready for bedtime. One for the kids and the over-grown kids that live inside all of us, Play Doze is a bright Fluorescent yellow Bubble Bar slice designed to clean and calm in equal measures. With lavender and ylang ylang to send your kids to sleep. (Recommended for over 7s). The bath water turns into such an amazing colour, you and your offspring will want to stay in the bath longer and get really clean, without any nagging from you. Tired grown-ups will find that it is superbly relaxing and a great way to get a good nights kip too.

Phoenix Rising

A UK Phoenix Rising

Ive bought a lot of Phoenix Riding bombs. 😊

Also, I actually got to see how the Lush Ltd factory in England make phoenix Rising, and i recorded it.

Additionally I made a short video of it in the tub at the bottom of this page.

.

A UK Phoenix Rising

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Icing Sugar, Cocoa Butter, PEG-6 Caprylic / Capric Glycerides, Bergamot Oil, Cassia Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Fair Trade Shea Butter, *Cinnamal, *Citral, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 45410, Colour 42090, Colour 77891, Colour 77510, Frosty Holly Lustre, Gold Lustre,Cinnamon sticks

My U.S. Phoenix Rising

Lush Times: All the myth and magic of a phoenix, pressed into one bathtime experience, which lets you arise at the end feeling refreshed and ready for the next 500 years. Your phoenix will sink to the bottom then rise in triumph, her mythical sparkling purple and green plumage unfurling through your bath water. She’ll release gentle shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba oil to leave your skin feather-soft. Exotic essential oils of fruit and spices take your mind on a flight of fancy to distant shores where you are lying on a beach drinking spiced rum.Actually, you won’t want to rise again from this bath – you’ll want to just stay on in there gliding on the dream! The phoenix is often quoted as using cinnamon sticks to make her nest. So we’ve topped this ballistic with some, so she has some handy nesting material, should she wish to stick around at yours for a while. Meanwhile, it will also add to the delicate spiciness of your bath.

My U.S. Phoenix Rising

Lush description: The work on this website had been going on in the background at Lush for quite some time. Having a current website trading plus a new one that is being built made for very confusing conversations when talking about things for ‘the website’. To end the confusion, we gave the website under construction the name Phoenix. So Phoenix has been very much on everyone’s mind here at Lush; not least Jack, who has been working on it for over a year. When he went into the lab to invent new ballistics, he couldn’t shake his mind free of it – and thus we now have a Phoenix Rising ballistic!

Green and Gold

I was lucky enough to have a kind person buy one for me while she was there so I could pay her back and she sent it to me, along with a couple of other Lush soaps from Oxford Street. I have a sink demo video of Green and Gold soap below.

4 out of 5 rating.   See my demo and review video of this soap below.

This smells just like the Avobath bath bomb or even the you’ve been mangoed bath oil. It has lemongrass and it smells so wonderful.

The Green and Gold soap display in the Lush Oxford Street superstore

Green and Gold was only sold at the Lush Oxford Street superstore from 2014-2017

It was a beautiful soap with green around the outside and strips of gold too. Inside the soap was a yellowish gold color. In the stores the whole soap were long cylindrical poles, so Lush would cut customers a 100g piece off of the giant long piece. Unless you wanted to buy the whole soap.

Here’s a video demo i did of this soap

Johnny Appleseed

See my demo video below.

It has a great apple scent!

We don’t want to put ideas in your head, so we’ll just plant a seed. Why not pop this fruity green treat in the bath? An apple a day will send troubles away as you sow uplifting neroli, bright lemon and Brazilian orange oils into the water. Make it the apple of your eye.

Melt warning: this product is made with ingredients which allow it to soften at  body temperature, and so it prefers not to be posted to hot, sunny climates.

B Electro shower gel

At the Lush store in london called “B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful they sold a perfume line called ‘B scent’.  It was always one of my favorite perfumes sold at B Never boutique from 2005-2008.  In 2007 Lush made B Electro shower gel in that fragrance. There was a whole line of products with this scent.

I took pics of the products in this scent in my section here called “B Never too busy to be beautiful’.

Here’s a 15 second video i made with my b electro to show consistency, etc.

Later, Lush made a soap in the “B” scent.  It was a bright yellow color and it was shaped like the sun.  Lush called this soap “B Electro”.  a couple of years alter, Lush made a shower gel for forum members only with the scent of our lovely B scent.  Lush made our requested shower gel with the same color as the b electro soap, and now we have this shower gel today 🙂

Here below are some previous B scent products that i bought from Lush’ sister company B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful.

Ingredients: Water, Rose Water, Fennel Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute,  Cold Pressed,  Jojoba Oil.

In 2011 Lush Australia made the ‘B Electro’ Divine Whale soap below. I had Laura send me a coue.

A woman who lived in England said she wanted to send me this giant B Electro soap in the shape of a giant sun. She said they were having some kind of celebration in her hometown Lush store and she knew i liked the shower gel so much so she sent it to me all the way from England!

Key Lime Pie

This is a beautiful green lip balm.  This isn’t a lush lip tint so It doesn’t leave any green color on your lips, it goes on clear.  It’s a thinner consistency like passion fruit but it fels nice on the lips.  The taste is good.  And the smell is even better.  It really does smell like Key Lime Pie. I enjoy this.

Matroyshka Doll

Has the Appley ‘So White’ scent.  This was a soap that Lush sold in Christmas of 2010.

There are two pieces (one green and a smaller red ) soaps,  a doll-shaped ‘Cinders‘ bath bomb, and a doll-shaped, and a So White bath bomb.  all nested inside of each other, like a real Russian Matroyshka Doll. And the whole gift set was wrapped in a red scarf with designs on it.

Later Lush would make other products with this same scent;  So White bath bomb, So White perfume, So White shower gel, and Santa’s Belly jelly.

Lord of Misrule shower cream

5 out of 5 rating

See my up close (to show the glitter) sink demo video of it belowThis image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_4802.jpg

One of the lush shower gels which came here to North America September 18, 2015.  These 3  shower gels including Lord of Misrule, Don’t Rain on my Parade, and Beautiful,  debuted at lush new “Superstore” on Oxford Street in London.

This shower cream is a more moisturizing, creamy shower gel, in the popular Lord of Misrule fragrance.  Black pepper, vanilla and patchouli.  This is a nice way of having the LOM scent.  There are also two more Oxford street new products having this same scent (see Aliens and Monsters fun bar), LOM find the gap bar,  and Rough With the Smooth bar, as well as the Lord of Misrule bath bomb, and the LOM perfume.   Just for fun I made a photo of all these together (below). This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_4801-1.jpg

It’s called a shower cream instead of a shower gel because it has extra moisturizing properties such as wheatgerm oil, etc.

I love this.  I’ve even washed my hair with this.  Because the scent stays a good long time on my skin or hair.

Below are two pictures i took of the scent family products.

Frog Prince

5 out of 5 ratingSee video below.  Also see “Leap Frog” bath bomb, same bomb, different names. This was first made for Valentine’s in the 2009-2011 time frame.

I absolutely love everything about this bath bomb.  It’s super cute, and the smell is great, and the water is a nice color when he fizzes away.  The scent stays on my skin longer than most bath bomb scent. It’s a floral.  It’s a multiple floral.  Good Lush floral blends are fewer then the fruity or candy scents from Lush, and this is a nice floral.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute , Ylang Ylang Oil.

img_7466

Lush Times: Another magical creation by Michelle, Frog Prince is an extremely handsome and regal frog with a pair of vibrantly red and kissable lips. Give him a quick peck, drop him in the tub and wait for your prince to come. Simon’s new fragrance is an aphrodisiac blend with sweet undertones; he used jasmine, neroli and rosewood to create a sensual fragrance for those longing for their prince – or princess – to come. It’s not all about the fragrance with this one, it’s also brimming with cocoa butter and almond oil for a luxuriously moisturising soak.

Fox in the Flowers

Vegan $5.75 6.3oz

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Roman Chamomile Flower, Rosebuds, Blue Mallow Flowers, Lime Tree Flowers , Lavender Absolute , Nettle Absolute , Lavendin Absolute ), Chlorophyllin.

Review: The Fox smells like grass when you smell it dry. Once it’s in the tub, it’s green smelling and fresh with a lovely pale green water color. The deep reddish-pink flower buds also help to make it look like a fairy bath.  Some people thought it was boring and didn’t like all the brown flower bits in the water, that’s probably because it wasn’t fresh.    I think alot of my pining is because Lush discontinued this so quickly I only got a chance to try two. I would love to try a fresh one again.

Luckily the lush Kitchen online made this in 2014 and 2015.

When it was originally sold some people thought this ballistic was just “meh”.   I believe it was a case where the other ballistics that were sold at the same time as this one just were more colorful with more “wow” factor. I think the Fox kind of got lost in the background and didn’t get a fair shot.

file-sep-14-11-05-19-pm-1

Lush times 2005 description: It’s been a while since we launched a flowery Ballistic so it was high time for a new one, however, the Fox in the Flowers does not have what you’d call a typical floral scent. It’s more like a meadow with grass growing knee high and wild flowers towering above it, or possibly the smell of a very smart florist’s shop. There is much greenery in this scent; much of it comes from the chlorophyll in it, the stuff which makes leaves green. A Fox in the Flowers bath smells green like cut grass, wild flowers, and woodlands. Take one to your bath when you want to feel like Maid Marion washing in a shady pool ready for Robin to get back from a hard day’s wealth redistribution.

Here’s a demo video i made of Fox in the Flowers

Grass

Lush Description: Get Twiggy with it.  Have a field day with this verdant bubble bar.  It’s like cloud watching in a meadow.

Ingredients:  perfume, spring green lustre color, Bergamot oil, Neroli oil, sandalwood

Review:  This bubble bar is made from the scent of their now discontinued shower gel named ‘Grass’. People who love grass shower gel would love this bubble bar as the scent is exactly like the shower gel. It’s not quite an earthy green, or an oakmossy green, like ‘Tramp’, but a nice, spring grass scent.   Not only is it pretty, but it makes the water a gorgeous shade of green.

file-sep-07-11-39-12-am

I was saving my grass bubble bar but since the lush Kitchen is making some i’ll use this one from Oxford Street so i can record it for you so you can see what it looks like before it comes up in the kitchen,

Crackersnap

4 out of 5 rating

See my tub demo of crackersnap below.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Sodium Carbonate, Popping Candy, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lemongrass Oil, Bergamot Oil, Rosewood Oil, Lauryl Betaine, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume, Colour 42090, Colour 45350, Colour 19140, Frosty Holley Lustre.

Lush Times magazine: Every Christmas needs a cracker! Crackersnap is a new, cheery, lemongrass Bath Bomb that ‘cracks’ wide open in your tub, turning the water bright green and revealing a few extra treats – just like a real Christmas cracker! Pop on your party hat, tell yourself a joke and round up that crocodile for future bathing fun times.

Review:  This has the wonderful “Avobath” scent, with lotsof lemongrass and bergamot. It makes popping sounds as it dissolves.  They were fragile via mail order but then Lush started putting them in little plastic cases and that’s why mine was not broken when it arrived all the way from England.

Here’s a demo i recorded of the Crackersnap bath bomb in the tub.
