Phoenix Rising

I actually got to see how the Lush Ltd factory in England make phoenix Rising, and i recorded it.

And I made a short video of it in the tub at the bottom of this page.

Lush Times: All the myth and magic of a phoenix, pressed into one bathtime experience, which lets you arise at the end feeling refreshed and ready for the next 500 years. Your phoenix will sink to the bottom then rise in triumph, her mythical sparkling purple and green plumage unfurling through your bath water. She’ll release gentle shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba oil to leave your skin feather-soft. Exotic essential oils of fruit and spices take your mind on a flight of fancy to distant shores where you are lying on a beach drinking spiced rum.Actually, you won’t want to rise again from this bath – you’ll want to just stay on in there gliding on the dream! The phoenix is often quoted as using cinnamon sticks to make her nest. So we’ve topped this ballistic with some, so she has some handy nesting material, should she wish to stick around at yours for a while. Meanwhile, it will also add to the delicate spiciness of your bath.

Lush description: The work on this website had been going on in the background at Lush for quite some time. Having a current website trading plus a new one that is being built made for very confusing conversations when talking about things for ‘the website’. To end the confusion, we gave the website under construction the name Phoenix. So Phoenix has been very much on everyone’s mind here at Lush; not least Jack, who has been working on it for over a year. When he went into the lab to invent new ballistics, he couldn’t shake his mind free of it – and thus we now have a Phoenix Rising ballistic!

Smells like spicy apples and cinnamon.
This is what it looks like up close in the tub

And this is how the factory makes the phoenix bath bomb

All you need is lustre, trust and a little Fairy
Dust. Sprinkle this Snow Fairy scented sweet,
sparkling pink dust over skin to stay fresh for
awfully big adventures.

The scent is a nice sweet, pink vanilla scent called ‘Snow Fairy’. There are very tiny sparkles in this powder.

The two powders this year 2020) are called Fairy Dust and Sleepy Dust appropriately.

I sprinkle the powder anywhere on my body that i want to feel drier like under my boobs or the back of my neck. Under my arms, etc.

I also sprinkle it in our sheets on the weekends too, especially sleepy. Its lavender scent is nice to smell as im drifting off to sleep.

Ive never really paid much attention to the Christmas dusting powders before because i always thought my money was better spent on bath bombs and bubble bars instead. But this year i splurged on both of the dusting powders.

Fairy dust has the same scent as snow fairy shower gel, magic wand bubble bar, and all those snow fairy scented products.

It is strongly scented too!

 List of ingredients

In 2018 Lush made ‘Snow Fairy Sparkle Jar’ for Christmas. Basically it was Fairy Dust powder inside of a star-shaped Massage bar/Solid Lotion with four small holes in it that the powder can be .
I LOVE when Lush makes two things in one, which they’ve only done only a few times in the last 25 years.
But not everyone loved them like i did. Some folks didnt know how they worked which kept them from buying one. And some who did buy one didnt buy one because it was too faffy to use.

Comforter shower cream

I will have a video of this in the next couple of days.Bright pink, this Comforter shower cream has more moisturzing properties than regular shower gels.

A new shower item called Comforter Shower Cream with the same scent as the popular “The Comforter” bubble bar.

A more moisturizing version, which is seemingly thicker, having sparkles and more brightly colored pink than the Comforter shower gel.

In this photo I am combining some comforter cream as a bath bubble foam, and having a lush razzle dazzle bath oil with it.

If you’re a person who doesn’t like the sharp, acidic notes that are in the comforter shower gel or perfume, then you won’t like this shower cream.  If you like the bubble bar’s gentler comforter scent, you may not like the shower cream.  It’s certainly the prettiest, but not my favorite way of getting the comforter scent.  It’s a bit acrid to my nose and not as smooth of a berry scent as i would like.
