Fly Me To The Moon

5 out of 5 rating. See my tub demo video below to see it in action!

I’m so intrigued by these new Lush Christmas bath bombs called Amazeballs. ‘Holly Golightly‘ (green), ‘Snow Fairy‘ (pink), ‘Fly Me To the Moon’ (platinum ufo), and ‘Don’t Let the Bells End’ (yellow).

It was hard to decide which one i wanted to use (and demo) first. I chose Fly Me To the Moon….since i live in New Mexico after all. 😉 When you take the top off its got purple bubble bar/bomb powder mixture inside.its scent is similar to ‘Nevermind the Ballistics’ from Christmas 2017. Its made with lime, orange and frankincense.

I like the platinum shimmer on the outside of it.

I also like the purple bath bomb/bubble bar combo powder inside that is partcular to Fly Me to the Moon.

You can either sprinkle the powder under running water and it will become frothy or you can put the whole rhing in the tub with the powder inside of it.

Its a slow, foamy fizzer. Once it starts dissolving It turns into something that looks like dessert. Like vanilla blackberry ice cream.

It also has glitter in ghe water.

I like everything about this bomb. The design. The innovation. The colors, and the scent. And the performance.

Party Balloon reusable bubble bars!

5 out of 5 rating

See my 3 minute tub demo video below

Each of these have the same citrussy grapefruit and lime scent. Very citrussy but not sweet.

Lush introduced five balloon shaped reusable bubble bars at their new mega store in Liverpool Spa. For a limited time lush.co.uk has decided to make them available for the public to buy on their retail website.

I decided i would kill two birds with one stone and demo two new Lush products in one bath and video.

After i demo the balloon bubble bar first for you im also using the new exclusive ‘Sea Salt Bombshell’ after.

Both of these are part of the 350 new products i troduced this year at tge new Mega store Liverpool Spa.

This is what the water from the purple balloon looks like when used alone, before i added the blue bath bomb.

The salt is nice and big and pretty! Its very softening to my skin.

Fyi. My daughter found some blue crystals left on the sink area in the bathroom and looked at me oddly while she showed them to me.

We both laughed when she said she thought they looked like crystal meth from Breaking Bad.

I would highly recommend both of these products individually.

As you can see i had lots of bubbles in my bath and the bubble bar barely even looked used!

Deep Sleep

5 out of 5 rating. See my 2 minute bath demo video below

A subtley sweet lavender and chamomile scent. An Herbal but slightly sweet scent.

Its great to promote relaxation and sleep.

I asked how to use it and was told that it goes in wrapped because when the bath bomb dissolves lots of lavender and chamomile flowers are left in the bag so it acts as a tea bag for soaking in the tub.

It’s makes the water a gorgeous, jewel-like purple color. No glitter.

My skin feels soft but not overly moisturized.

Deep Sleep makes for Very luxurious feeling.

I soaked for a long time in this awesome bath. I love this bath bomb.

I love how dramatic it looks while being relaxing at the same time.

I would recommend buying one. In fact i would recommend buying two if budget will allow.

Iris Flower

4 out of 5 rating

see my Tub Demo Video i made for you below.

One of five beautiful floral bath bombs for Mother’s Day 2019. This one is Iris Flower. Its made with orris root, which is the root of the Iris.

It isnt a sweet scent. A couple of the other floral bombs have a slightly sweeter fragrance.

There is a rolled up paper in the middle of these. You write a message on it and then put it nack inside the bomb, then give the bomb to your loved one.

This is a fast fizzer! And it has a slight shimmer in the creamy, pink water.

Aubergine

5 out of 5 star rating.

See my 2 minute Tub Demo Video below 🙂

Aubergine is what the people in the Uk call Eggplant. it’s an eggplant shaped bath bomb…for Valentine’s 2019.

It’s made in the Lush signature ’29 High Street’ perfume fragrance.

Lush sells an exclusive perfume that is made to smell like a lush store. it has that Lush smell.

Pia, the lovely person who created the original scent (called HQ) explained to me how she created the scent, and what lush store product scents were used to create the fragrance. Karma, Honey i washed the kids, happy hippy, etc.

The result is a sweet, orange citrus with a floral background. it’s strong, heady and perfume-y. The fragrance has lots of expensive ingredients.

it does indeed smell just like a Lush shop.

This bath bomb produces a slow foaming fizz, with hues of purple, green, pink and blue. And a drop dead gorgeous hue of deep, jewel toned purple, with purple shimmer throughout.

Here is my 2 minute Tub Demo Video

I’m glad i got six.

Plum Pudding

5 out of 5 rating.

£5.75 (converted to $7.50)

Made with the Plum Rain scent.

This is possibly my favorite Christmas 2018 product.

Looking strikingly similar to Lush long time favorite ‘Ceridwen’s Cauldron’s bath oil, wrapped in a piece of purple muslin, the bath oil itself is also a deep purple color.

There are multiple little bits of goodies embedded in the top of Plum Pudding.

It makes it look quite like a real plum pudding.

That changes when it hits the water, and the irridescent showstopping purple glitter comes out.

It has the wonderful fruity aroma of plums and, oranges.

Im so glad that Lush decided to make a BIG bath oil, like the size they used to make. While the current lush bath oils are a perfect little gem sized piece, theres something to be said about having a big chunk of purple glittery goodness to rub all over oneself.

This makes my skin feel good. And its gorgeous. I cant resist purple glitter.

Im going to stock up and buy three to five of these beauties.

When you get back from late night shopping and you’re plum out of energy, get in the bath with this skin softening melt. The proof is in the pudding and with ingredients to soften and soothe you’re in for more than just a sweet treat! Watch your winter woes melt away with whole oats and almond oil to hydrate and calm. The best puddings this Christmas are made with Fair Trade organic cocoa butter to moisturise and protect your skin. Lay back and relax with calming osmanthus absolute and petitgrain oil. It’ll be a date to remember.

Sugar Plum Fairy lip scrub and lip tint

See my demo video below 5 out of 5 rating

file-oct-16-2-13-11-pm
The new ‘Sugar Plum Fairy’ Lip scrub has a scent similar to the Comforter, having currants in the mix. The Sugar Plum Fairy lip tint is a bit dry going on. I was afraid the color of this lip tint would be too a bit too dark for me, especially since it is quite a cool toned color. The smell of the lip tint is very light..

The returning Santa lip scrub, which smells like Cola to me, and the true red of the Santa Baby lip tint. Though the lip tint is a little dry going on and has some fall out crumbles. The smell is incredible and i much prefer the sugar plum fairy scrub out of the bunch.

I would give the Sugar Plum Fairy scrub a 5 out of 5 rating.
I would give the Santa Baby scrub a 3.5 out of 5 rating.
I would give Sugar Plum Fairy lip tint a 3.5 out of 5 rating.
I would give the Santa Baby lip tints a 2.5 out of 5 rating.

The comforter bubble bar

Berry yourself under a blanket of bubbles.

Sometimes you just need to shut yourself away in the bathroom under a blanket of fruity foam that will put you back in the right frame of mind to face the world.

You’ll love this if you like:

– Fruity, cosy fragrances.

– The Comforter bath bomb, Blackberry bath bomb, Abracadabra bubble stick – Feeling warm, comforted and snuggly.

Benefits:

– If you’re feeling blue, a bright bath bursting with bergamot will get you back on track. – Cosy and warm-scented, cassis absolute has a similar smell to those of blackcurrants. – Cypress oil is antimicrobial and helps to soothe sore muscles.

How to use: This bar is supersized, so you’ll only need to crumble half a bar under your tap to make enough bubbles for a long, comforting soak. Or go for the whole thing if you’re feeling extra fruity!

How to store: Keep in a cool, dry place until you need a little bit of extra comfort in a berry lovely bath.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Cocamide DEA, Bergamot Oil m, Cassis Absolute, Cypress Oil, Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 45410, Colour 17200.

This is a very popular scent with Lushies.  It’s a loverly black currant scent.  Like berries.  It’s a creamy berry scent too, not tart.

It’s a double sized bubble bar, so you can use as much or as little as you want.

I am SO in love with this bar, I must always have a small stash of these at all times, it’s become a staple item for me.

I owuld rate this bubble a 5 out of 5 rating

Sweetie Pie

1.85 100g

This has the scent of ‘The comforter’ line of products.Scent family: The Comforter Body Lotion; The Comforter Bubble Bar Slice; The Comforter Shower Gel; Oopsie Daisy Bubble Bar Slice; Cherie Ripe Massage Bar; You Snap The Whip Body Butter.

I love the dark, fruity black currant smell of Sweetie Pie. It’s exactly the consistency of jello, as such it can be a bit hard to control or hold in the  shower. A shower pouff works wonders in this regard.  Or one can cut the jelly into small cubes,  and use one cube for each shower. I love this smell.

When Lush first sold Sweetie Pie jelly in stores, they had one giant piece of jelly, about two ft across, and lush would cut off chunks and put them in containers for people to buy. They didn’t have pre filled containers of jelly like they do nowadays.  The giant slab of Sweetie Pie jelly in the stores had larger sparkly stars and things on it, as well as the tiny sparkle mixed in the jelly like today’s Sweetie Pie jelly.

Ingredients: Cherry Infusion,  Coconut Infusion, Perfume, Carrageenan Extract, Bergamot Oil,  Cassis Absolute , Cypress Oil Iridescent Glitter.

Lush 2006 Description: The Lush internet forum inspired this jelly too; one ‘forumite’ customer posted that her favourite smell was doughnuts* and cherry muffins so Mark decided that this sounded like a wonderful scent for a jelly. Lush aficionados will recognise the fruity Cherie Ripe fragrance as its base: blackcurrants, cherries and refreshing cypress. We add this to the skin-softening seaweed jelly mix, throw in a handful of iridescent sparkles then just in case you think we’re all turning into Mary Poppins we chuck in a vat of sour cherry infusion and a hint of bitter citrus. We may be sweet, but we retain our darker side. (Note to American customers: that’s how we spell donuts in the UK. We like to make things complicated wherever possible.)

Scent family: The Comforter Body Lotion; The Comforter Bubble Bar Slice; The Comforter Shower Gel; Oopsie Daisy Bubble Bar Slice; Cherie Ripe Massage Bar; You Snap The Whip Body Butter.

In this picture i tried to show the color of it.

Phoenix Rising

I actually got to see how the Lush Ltd factory in England make phoenix Rising, and i recorded it.

And I made a short video of it in the tub at the bottom of this page.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Icing Sugar, Cocoa Butter, PEG-6 Caprylic / Capric Glycerides, Bergamot Oil, Cassia Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Fair Trade Shea Butter, *Cinnamal, *Citral, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 45410, Colour 42090, Colour 77891, Colour 77510, Frosty Holly Lustre, Gold Lustre,Cinnamon sticks

Lush Times: All the myth and magic of a phoenix, pressed into one bathtime experience, which lets you arise at the end feeling refreshed and ready for the next 500 years. Your phoenix will sink to the bottom then rise in triumph, her mythical sparkling purple and green plumage unfurling through your bath water. She’ll release gentle shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba oil to leave your skin feather-soft. Exotic essential oils of fruit and spices take your mind on a flight of fancy to distant shores where you are lying on a beach drinking spiced rum.Actually, you won’t want to rise again from this bath – you’ll want to just stay on in there gliding on the dream! The phoenix is often quoted as using cinnamon sticks to make her nest. So we’ve topped this ballistic with some, so she has some handy nesting material, should she wish to stick around at yours for a while. Meanwhile, it will also add to the delicate spiciness of your bath.

Lush description: The work on this website had been going on in the background at Lush for quite some time. Having a current website trading plus a new one that is being built made for very confusing conversations when talking about things for ‘the website’. To end the confusion, we gave the website under construction the name Phoenix. So Phoenix has been very much on everyone’s mind here at Lush; not least Jack, who has been working on it for over a year. When he went into the lab to invent new ballistics, he couldn’t shake his mind free of it – and thus we now have a Phoenix Rising ballistic!

Smells like spicy apples and cinnamon.
This is what it looks like up close in the tub

And this is how the factory makes the phoenix bath bomb

Dreamtime bath oil

This is SO beautiful in the bath, beautiful surprises. This gets prettier as it melts away.  What a knockout color when it melts.  It looks so elegant, but when it’s in the water WOW.  Purple heaven.  It has the wonderfully spicy lavender and ginger scent.  It was very moisturizing to my skin.

The lavender also promotes sleep.

I will definitely be buying more of these gorgeous things.

I can use them when i want to take ‘clearing my energy’ kind of a bath.

I made a 2 minute video demo below for Lush Oxford Street ‘Dreamtime’ bath oil. It has the same wonderful lavender scent as the refgular current ‘dreamtime’ bath melt.

Bar Humbug

See my video demo below Whether you feel a bit ‘Bar Humbug’ about
Christmas, or are just a big fan for liquorice
allsorts, then you’ll enjoy this liquorice
scented bubble bar.
This bubble bar shares it’s scent with lush ‘Bertie” soap, which has always been one of my favorite Lush soaps, and the soap is being sold at Lush Oxford Street store.

Lavender La Vida Loca (formerly ‘Serendipity’)

French Lavender and Chamomile

‘Don’t leave sweet dreams to chance. Try this skin soothing lavender and chamomile lullaby.’

Here’s the lovely piece i got.  It doesn’t have the sweet tonka note as Twilight.  It’s more of a true lavender scent, matching the “Golden Slumbers’ bath bomb.

This soap is made into a long pole shape.  And then Lush slices pieces off cross-wise.  Pretty pink purple outter and lavender purple inside. Even though it’s glycerine based, It’s a creamy soap.

Ingredients:  Glycerine, rapeseed oil, lavender flower infusion, french lavender oil, water, dried lavender stem, chamomile blue oil, lavender absolute.

A “Golden Slumbers’ bath bomb would go well with this as both are lavender scented.   “dreamtime” bath oil would go well with this also.

Ylang Song

4.5 out of 5 rating

See my demo video of this close up in the tub.

A Lush Ltd employee contacted me the other day and asked of i had tried this bomb. They said they had a feeling i would like this one. So i looked for one and bought one from Ebay.

Lush says: “Tunisian neroli, Peruvian Rosewood erupt into a sensual world tumbling peony petals.”

And after using it;  Yes this does remind me of an old school lush bath bomb because of the flowers.

This bomb reminds me very much of a Monet painting, perhaps the coloring in the painting “water lillies”.  When the bomb finished dissolving, what’s left looks like a painting; a beautiful spring green background with purple petals strewn about. Oh my. And the smell is very nice in my opinion. It’s floral, woody, fruity. But it all blends together do beautifully. Like bathing in a fairy glade.

The gorgeous ingredients are: Ylang ghana oil, neroli, rosewood, rose oil, peony petals, yellow rose petals, and purple everlasting flower.

I became 6 years old once again. I played with the flowers, arranging them on the side of the tub and gazing at the beautiful colored petals.

Here’s a link to a youtube video i made of the Ylang Song in the tub.

Fun With a Twist

5 out of 5 rating

They made it out of two favorite bath bombs; “Dragon’s Egg” (the orange twist) and “Twilight” (the purple twist).  The citrus with the tonka and lavender is sooo good.  Who knew these two scents would be so wonderful together.  You can also use just the purple piece or just an orange piece to have a purple or orange colored bubble bar.

Here’s my scent family photo

To me this is Lush being innovative. Not that a Fun bar is an entirely new product but up until the creation of this FWAT Fun Bar all the Lush FUN bars were one solid color and one scent.

It worked SO well in this product. Nice Lush! 👏🏼

Lush Kitchen online made this special FUN bar exclusive which isn’t made or sold anywhere on line or in stores to the public.

Heres a video of it

Violet, Patchouli, Rose, Thyme.

A Reusable bubble bar in a divining pendulum shape. How cool this idea. I think this is one of my favorite new products.  It’s purple, but covered in a Coppery shimmer. It smells of lovely violet floral with a touch of thyme and patchouli.  It mostly smells of violet.

Here’s a youtube video i made of what the Divination reusable bubble bar looks like in the bath.

With energising tangerine oil and purifying juniperberry and fennel essential oils, the Wizard banishes stress and helps you recover. Perfect for those occasions when you’ve over-indulged, the Wizard will disappear after Halloween, so grab enough to see you through the party season.

Review:  I’m not surprised that i love this bubble bar.  It’s purple, sparkly, and smells like my beloved Jingle Spells bath bomb. He’s so cute, i love his silver eyes and the star on his Wizard hat. The scent is a slightly spicy fruity scent.   A perfect fit for a Halloween. I had 10-12 of these.

Here’s a video i made of Wizard in the tub.

Magic

Lush Times Xmas 2008: A double magic spell for vitality and prosperity. If we told you that there was a surprise inside, it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore, would it? So we won’t. Seen from the top, Magic is a hexagon, a “hex” Ballistic, with a blend of marjoram and rose in the turquoise shell to dissolve away your anxieties. Then, as the water changed colour, basil and peppermint essential oils swirls into your magical bath, symbolishing growth, vitality and energy.
