Sparkler

Lush Sparkler-a ‘Rose Jam’ scented bath bomb

Lush Description:  Pop, pop, fizz, fizz, oh what a spectacle this is! Sparkler was made to make bathtime as exciting as a night filled with fireworks. Handmade with popping candy, it’ll crackle in an explosion of color, moving around the tub and turning your water into a fiery, shimmering display! It also features one of our most popular fragrances: Rose Jam! Its delicate and floral aroma will fill the room and leave your skin kissed with its beautiful scent.

Review:  I like the Sparkler.  The color is surprisingly yellow considering that it’s scent is Rose Jam according to Lush.  This Sparkler ballistic leaves a good scent of Rose Jam/Rose Argan in the bath. While i don’t like the colors in Sparkler as much as it’s purple cousin ‘Northern Lights’ ballistic, it is beautiful to watch, with it’s gold and yellow foam and sparkles.  I’m glad i tried this. I might buy one more.

One of the lush shower gels which came here to North America September 18, 2015.  These 3  shower gels including Lord of Misrule, Don’t Rain on my Parade, and Beautiful,  debuted at lush new “Superstore” on Oxford Street in London.

This shower cream is a more moisturizing, creamy shower gel, in the popular Lord of Misrule fragrance.  Black pepper, vanilla and patchouli.  This is a nice way of having the LOM scent.  There are also two more Oxford street new products having this same scent (see Aliens and Monsters fun bar), LOM find the gap bar,  and Rough With the Smooth bar, as well as the Lord of Misrule bath bomb, and the LOM perfume.   Just for fun I made a photo of all these together (below). This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_4801-1.jpg

It’s called a shower cream instead of a shower gel because it has extra moisturizing properties such as wheatgerm oil, etc.

I love this.  I’ve even washed my hair with this.  Because the scent stays a good long time on my skin or hair.

Original Lord of Misrule bath bomb 2014-2021

This is the product that started the whole “Lord of Misrule” craze. It’s hard to describe this one.  I can smell the black pepper and then a yummy creamy vanilla note, like the Lord of Misrule himself, full of discord and disorderly conduct. At once lushious and treacherous.  It’s so so different, and it’s addictive.

Slightly sweet and yummy but with an earthy, peppery side.

Lush has also made a Lord of Misrule shower cream, a couple of a Fun multi-purpose bar, a square “Rough With the Smooth” cocoa butter body scrub, Lord of Misrule perfume, and othersIngredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Popping Candy, Cream of Tartar, Black Pepper Oil, Patchouli Oil, Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute, Lauryl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Gardenia Extract, *Limonene, Perfume, Colour 17200, Colour 42090, Colour 19140

Description: This bath bomb, named after the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools, has a strange and magnificent fragrance created by Gorilla Perfumer Simon Constantine. This bomb will slowly dissolve to reveal a wine coloured centre, with the added sweetness of the world’s first fair trade vanilla absolute, perfectly balanced by the earthy scents of black pepper and patchouli oil.

The design of this bomb is inspired by the paper hats you find inside Christmas crackers, which were originally based on the crown the Lord of Misrule would wear whilst he presided over the court. Arriving at Halloween, the Lord of Misrule will be gracing us with his presence until the first signs of spring. Here’s a photo of the color the water ultimately turns when it’s all done fizzing. See Video below

Here’s a video i made of it in the tub, it’s cool.

Northern Lights

5 out of 5 rating for the 2015 version.
3.5 for the 2016 version.

Not to be confused by another totally different smelling and different looking product (soap) also called Northern Lights.

See my demo videos of both versions below.

Northern Lights was made with the Lush Christmas Eve  bubble bar scent and the “Santa’ FUN bar.

Lush Description:  Escape into relaxation with this bath bomb that gives an impressive display no matter where you are in the world. As the ends fizz away, the middle slowly dissolves to reveal blue and neon green, turning your water into a calming jasmine and ylang ylang-scented swirling night sky scattered with stars.

Review:  WOW a blue, pink, and yellow explosion of color, just like the real Northern Lights, coupled with that lovely floral fragrance of their Christmas Eve bubble bar.  Ylang ylang and jasmine. Makes the water purple.  This is the most incredible show in the water than any other lush bath bomb i can think of.

The newer shorter one makes grayish brown water. 😐

Here’s a demo of the 2016 version in the tub

Here’s a short demo video of this 2015 version close up in the tub, WOW
