Lush Ltd launched it’s on line “Lush Kitchen” mail order website in April 2014. The idea was to have a place to make small er batches of exclusive products available fresh for those of us with a taste for our favorite retro products that have been discontinued. It’s also a way to get pre-releases on new Lush Cosmetics creations, sneak-peeks, and one-off rarities and limited edition products, made one time only. They also make limited edition Lush perfumes, available only in the Lush Kitchen.

(I actually had the immense pleasure of meeting the lovely folks in this photo, when i was there a month before the Lush Kitchen opened for business.)

Here’s what Lush says: “What’s on the menu this week? Small, daily batches of exclusive products, made by hand and seasoned with behind the scenes gossip. This is an exclusive window into the world of Lush manufacturing, where the words ‘fresh’ and ‘handmade’ come to life.
Our compounders are cooking up a storm, experimenting with giant bath bombs and mixing up creative visions. Get a glimpse of limited edition recipes, and freshly dreamt up innovations.
We’re throwing open the doors, and you’re invited to take a look.
If you can’t get enough of the Lush Kitchen, we’re cooking up more posts on our other social media channels: Instagram @LushKitchen & Twitter @LushKitchen”

To purchase lush Uk kitchen products, we buy them here, the website is http://www.lush.co.uk/kitchen

Here’s an example of one daily menu of products that Lush made for Holidays, which were/are NOT Retro and which weren’t available in any stores nor on line on the lush website.

Karma shower gel

Ingredients: Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Perfume, Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin), Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Lavendin Oil (Lavendula hybrida), Pine Oil (Pinus), Lemongrass Oil (Cymbopogan flexuosus), Elemi Oil (Canarium commune), Sodium Chloride, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides).

This is a shower gel with the Lush “Karma” scent of orange, patchouli and pine. This was invented when Lush Hilary made only five bottles for a special raffle on the Lush UK forum for forum members only. More recently, in the Lush Kitchen, Karma shower gel was remade for a limited time.

Karma shower gel is a much better way to get the Karma scent on your bod than say, the soap, except, it’s too drying on my skin.  It’s also possible to wash your hair with it or even use it as a bath foam. It’s easier to lather than the Karma soap. It’s thick and gelatinous. And a little goes a long way on a shower pouff, vs. the soap gets smaller and disappears much quicker oz for oz.  The Karma fragrance stays on the skin longer than other lush shower gels too! 😀 I give this a 2.5-3.0 out of 5 rating.

Here’s a video demo i made of this shower gel close up

B Electro shower gel

This was a perfume at the Lush store in london called “B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful. It was always one of my favorite perfumes sold at B Never boutique from 2005-2008.  There was a whole lin eof products with this scent.  I have pics of them all in my section here on my blog called “B Never too busy to be beautiful’.

Here’s a 15 second video i made with my b electro to show consistency, etc.

Later, Lush made a soap in the “B” scent.  It was a bright yellow color and it was shaped like the sun.  Lush called this soap “B Electro”.  a couple of years alter, Lush made a shower gel for forum members only with the scent of our lovely B scent.  Lush made our requested shower gel with the same color as the b electro soap, and now we have this shower gel today 🙂

Ingredients: Water, Rose Water, Fennel Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute,  Cold Pressed,  Jojoba Oil.
