Bat Art

5 out of 5 rating. See my tub demo video below. 😊

This Halloween we have a new bath bomb called Bat Art (a play on the term bath art). The scent of this bath bomb is the Lush ‘Junk’ perfume scent. I have a video of my thoughts on the Lush Junk perfume that i have. While it’s not my favorite scent, i’m certain this bath bomb is going to be awesome no matter what it’s scent is 😊.

Its made in the Lush ‘Junk’ perfume scent, which is a fruity herbal scent. It has mandarin orange oil, lemon oil, Rosemary and Sage.

This is a slow, melty fizz type of bath bomb. It takes a nice, long time floating on top of the water, moving slowly all around the tub.

As i watched it a ribbon of bright blue started winding through the purple water. Soon a tail of pink started to appear. Then the best part, a trail of thick silver glitter trailed from the dissolving bat.

Be spellbound by this bat bath bomb. Full of bath-art worthy surprises, deep glittery waters await with a fresh, herbal scent that lingers.

How to use: Run a bath and drop in to reveal a spectacle before you descend into the dark purple waters. The rosemary and sage scent of Junk perfume will cleanse your aura.

How to store: Keep cool and dry until ready to release this plastic-free Halloween bath bomb.

Sparkly black, Pink and blue, silver glitter, and dark purple water.

I love this!

It’s not as easy to clean the tub after letting the water out. Not because of the black color…but because of the glitter. Just Some light wiping down and then rinsing again was necessary to get all the glitter that was stuck to the bottom. But this bomb was so worth it.

I’m obsessed.

Lush Discontinued 2020!

Here’s a video i made about this.

“When the word “discon” ripples around there’s always a sharp intake of breath as people wonder if their favourite will have its fate sealed. We all have our hero products and stories of heartbreak when something treasured has slipped out of production.

As we look towards a future, lockdown presented an opportunity for Mark Constantine to reflect on the present and try every product again and again to get a better understanding of what we are offering. Backed by The Secret Masterplan there were clear criteria:

  • Does it serve customer’s needs?
  • Is it number one in its category?
  • Is it part of a cosmetic revolution?

12 weeks, 116 days and a lot of 4pm baths later a clear idea was forming, and with review from Lush analysts, there is a list.

There are bound to be some disappointments but far many more opportunities as we make room to create things that are best in their class – fewer products, that give you better results.

We have a dedicated team of product inventors bursting with ideas that will knock your socks off. For sneak peeks and all the BTS action of what’s to come (make sure you check out our inventor’s social media profiles) and check out #lushcommunity. “

It will take a while before these are all gone, but as always at Lush nothing is often gone forever. The newly launched Kitchen subscription box is not only a monthly delivery of retro favourites and some surprises, but also offers subscribers a chance to vote on the contents, so maybe your favourite will be back sooner than expected

Bathos

Roses are red, violets suit you

Sink into the lilac-hued waters of this floral classic. Posies of violet and spicy clove fragrance and soften your skin. The Ancient Greeks used violets in love potions and considered it a symbol of fertility and love – why not be seduced by this sweet, purple bath?

Before this bubble bar existed there was a liquid bubble bath called Bathos which had the same scent as the bubble bar that came later, but the liquid one was dark green. And before that they had a bath bomb called Bathosphere around 1999 or so which was green and had the same scent.

you can see my bathos perfume from Lush UK in my photo below

Here’s a picture of the Bathos Bath Foam: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/lush-a-lot/LushBathosbathfoamsml-1.jpg

lush says:

“You’ll love this if you like:

– Swirly purple-hued baths that smell like violet flavoured sweets.

– The scent of Daddy-O shampoo, Sugar Daddy-O solid conditioner, or Kerbside Violet perfume. – Taking time to appreciate the small, fleeting moments in life.”

I cant remember if there is any other lush product with the same scent. oh, there was a liquid spray perfume of bathos. i need to find the picture i took of minez

Benefits:

– Violet leaf has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects on the skin.

– The scent of violets help to settle your mood and mind, aiding restful sleep.

– Ylang ylang oil helps to reassure and uplift, leaving you feeling happy and carefree.

How to use: Crumble under running water to fill your bath with purple rain and fluffy white bubbles. How to store: Keep in a cool, dry place to keep this potent bubble bar ultra-violet.

The classic spicy “Bathos” bubble bar gives great looking, deep purple water. It has the strong scent of sweet violets and spicy cloves. Barthes is VERY fragrant.  There’s also a teeny bit of dark green glitter on the top. This bubble bar can stand alone without being combined with anything.

Sometimes I like to go the “all purple” route,  too and have Bathos with a Lush Jingle Spells  bath bomb or a Lush Blackberry Bomb.

By the way, here’s a picture of a Bathos that is 5 years old. The dates on the wrapper there. I found it at the bottom of one of my lush tupperware tubs.

Here’s a not very recent demo video i made a long time ago.

Lush Times 2006 Description: If you prefer to keep your bath to yourself and wouldn’t dream of allowing anyone else anywhere near the bathroom when you’re in there naked, please don’t allow the following suggestion to detract from your enjoyment of a bubbly, mauve Bathos bath. If you prefer to share your bath for reasons of ecological soundness or just plain fun, then Bathos is absolutely ideal! We make it with some of most sensual, relaxing essential oils on the planet, including lots of violet leaf which is reputed to help people remember why they got together in the first place. Lush North America New bath bombs! 89 (54) limited edition bombs

Lush’s New “biggest store in the world”, Lush Liverpool store released 300 new Lush products, and Lush new concept store in Harajuku Japan have released 89 bath bombs.

Lush USA are releasing 54 of 89 new bath bombs online on March 29, 2019.

Ive used 25 of them because Lush International (Uk) had them at the annual 2018 Lush Creative Showcase where i bought them, so i can add my reviews of those here this week to help you decide.

I asked Lush President/owner/inventor Mark Constantine about it since so many people are asking me about it and i wasnt aware of it.

Mark stated ‘We are celebrating the thirtieth Birthday of Mo’s invention. 1989 was the year so we will be selling 89 bath bombs.”

Each shop manager gets to chose which ones they stock.

While Mark says he assumes all will be available on the US website, im understanding from some Lushies who received bath bombs in a press package that there will be 54 bombs, not the whole 89.

Color me surprised that Lush USA are doing something like this for customers.

I’ll have to take out a loan- but ill be getting all the 25 bombs that I haven’t tried yet.

Im trying to find out how long they will be online. Ill put that info here when i get it.

Ill look all over social media to gather all the bath bombs names and add them here in alphabetical order. Then of course ill add my demos and reviews when they go on sale, i buy them and they deliver them to my house.

Keep watching here as i update continually over the next week or more.

Carrot shower oil

3 out of 5 rating

See my sink/arm Demo in my Review Video below.

I demonstrate using it on my arm at the sink.

Lush ‘Carrot’ solid shower oil.

This was made for Easter 2017 or 18. Carrot was one of the last solid shower oils Lush made before they discontinued them.

Lush had a goodly amount of customers that didn’t like the new solid shower oils. A large amount of customers were not living for the new wave of Lush ‘naked’ products coming out at the time.

I didn’t mind the shower oils too much. I have dry skin and live in the desert so i would use it after i took a shower and my skin would feel pretty good and not greasy.

The shower oils were used kind of like the lush Avocado Co Wash for the hair. You wash in the shower as usual, then after you rinse the soap off your body, rub the solid shower oil on your bod, then rinse off.

Some folks skipped the washing with regular soap or shower gel part, which is like co washing.

It has a nice carrot-y almost floral perfume-y scent.

I have a sink demo video on youtube of carrot shower oil.
