Made as a limited edition for Christmas 2010-2011 only. And remade for the previous incarnation of the Lush Kitchen in 2014. It’s up for the vote again for the Lush Kitchen July 2021 Subscription Box
This has a nice, Christmas punch kind of scent. Having cinnamon, plum, orange juice, Okum, buchu oil, davana oil, and petigrain oil. All very fruity notes. It’s delightful, unlike any lush fruity scent. This was MEGA popular with all my OG Lushies from the UK. It’s made after the Mexican fruit party punch. I’m Mexican American and i do remember drinking this when i was young at parties. The original version had tequila in it (like the punch that it’s named after), but for some reason they took it out. When they did that it changed the smell. It lost its bright note, but it’s still a nice scent.
Lush made a perfume of this exclusively for one day only on the Uk website in 2014. It smells as good or better than the shower gel. the lovely scent it’s more concentrated. It’s fruity in a different way than any other fruity lush things. it has a light sweetness, it’s not very spicy, just lightly so because of the cinnamon. It’s more fruity and less spicy than hot toddy. It’s not quite what i would call a citrussy scent. It’s more lusciously fruity and less bright like a citrus scent would be. It’s the Davana oil and the buchu oil that is along with the orange juice that makes this fruity scent different.
Lush ‘Icing on the Cake’ smoothie rhoulade from the Oxford Street store had the ponche scent as well. I liked it.
Rhoulade Ingredients: Water, Plum Infusion, Cinnamon Infusion, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, orange juice, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Propylene Glycol, Lactic Acid, Davana Oil, Buchu Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Tequila, Eugenol, Geranoil, *Linalool, *Limonene, Colour 15510, Methylparaben.

Ponche was invented after a member of Lush HQ traveled through Mexico and enjoyed their traditional fruity party punch. Bring on the tequila!
