Lush Summit 2017 event (and products!)

Lush is having two day event Feb 8 & 9. Much like the Lush 2016 Creative Showcase, Lush will be having exclusive products available, only for attendees.

The Lush Summit event at Tobacco Dock has a main stage area, and a main product demonstration area, with fantastical tubs and sinks, holding giant versions of limited edition bath bombs. There are multitudinous other stations and rooms, which exhibit protests, musical performances, and demonstrations which showcase various new product inventions. Some of the products shown will be sold on their Lush.co.uk/kitchen mail order website, and a few will eventually be in ALL Lush stores within a few weeks.

The Summit has areas such as the “Scented Cinama”, “Digital Ethics Room”, Climate and Energy room, Human Rights room, War and Poverty room, and the “Animals in Servitude” room to name a few.

I created an alphabetical list of the products shown at the event below. Some of these products I will add are exclusive to the Summit event, not available anywhere else,  and i will mark those as such.  I’ll also add release dates as i get them.

There are additional products which Lush created  strictly for Lush supported charities which were also showcased at this event. I’ll list those as well.

I’ll be adding pages for as many of these products as I can, and I will update daily as I get more info on them, as I did for the Creative Showcase event. 😄💕  I will be recording demos of some of these items within the next week or two.

Additionally, Lush is selling all 2017 Mother’s day products, AND all Easter 2017 products. There are also products shown at the Summit event that will be exclusive to the Oxford Street store.

Lastly, the Lush Kitchen mail order website at Lush.co.uk/kitchen are offering some (not all) of these products this week and next week so keep an eye out! 💜

Thank you to Amelia Ng for the photos.

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful

5 out of 5 rating (also see lush’s b never too busy to be beautiful store)

This newest making of b never on May of 2025 isnt the best. Its noticeably weaker. But its still nice. Id rate it a 4 out of 5. Its still a blessing to be able to get some again. My pic above of the newest bottle.

5 out of 5 rating

This and Skinny Dip were my favorite Lush shower gels from the time i found lush in 2001.

To this day they would still be my favorite if Lush still sold them. But sadly they both were discontinued after being on their best sellers list for years. This smelled Exactly like honey. I even used this as a shampoo. It was PERFECT for dry, thick, coarse wavy hair like mine.

It even poured like honey. It had the most incredible scent. Like warm, spiced honey. And it had this incredible way that when ever i would get hot (i live in the desert) the scent of it would come out of my hair and i would get a whiff of it now and then while i was working and it made me close my eyes and inhale deeply and slowly.

Ingredients: Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Honey (mel), Red Clover Flower infusion (Trifolium pratense), Sodium Cocampho-acetate, Clover Honey (Mel), Orange Blossom Honey (Mel), Manuka Honey (Mel), Eucalyptus Honey (Mel), Rock Salt (sodium chloride), Cassie absolute (acacia farnesiana), Jasmine absolute (Jasminum officinale), Perfume, Gardenia Exract (Gardenia Jasminoides), Methyl-paraben, Propylparaben.

You can use it in the shower, as a bath foam or on your hair. It looks and smells like honey. But a deeper, darker honey with a little spiced goodness underneath. It’s captivating. Some find it too sweet. I felt that way too when I first tried it. I put it down and sniffed it later. I found it a month or so later and I sniffed it again, I was hooked. It is the Goddess of Lush Shower Gels.
Lush times 2002 description: B Never Too Busy to be Beautiful is our honeyshower gel. We love puting honey products because it is gorgeous on the skin and this time we’ve excelled ourselves. Have a look at the ingredients: four special flower honeys plus the usual ‘we don’t know where the bees got it’ honey mixed into a soothing, detoxifying infusion of red clover flowers. It smells of honey, of course, with a delightful fragrance of lovely cassie and sensual jasmine. If you’re not quite as sweet as you ought to be, showering with B will make you as you ought to be, showering with B will make you smell so delicious no-one that will ever notice your wicked side.

Limited edition egg shape for Easter.

The normal octagonal shape of the experimenter

experimenter_bath_bomb_egg-1

It’s a giant Experiementer bath bomb but in an egg shape.  It smells earthy and smokey with vetiver and slightly sweet with tonka bean. It makes beautiful when it’s dizzying, making many colors, leading to a dark green water with gold sparkles in the water.

White Wedding

5 out of 5 rating

These are two with the original confetti inside design in my picture here. Around 2009

This is a different, later design with heart shaped pink confetti from the Lush Kitchen box around 2016.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate , Rice Paper Hearts , Perfume , Ylang Ylang Oil,  Jasmine Absolute, Rose Otto , Bergamot Oil

Lush 2008 description; The ideal wedding gift for the bride who loves to bathe (and for guests who`re tired of cake). Either way, singly or in quantities our brand new White Wedding Ballistic brings a bit of extra fizz to your day. (Sorry about the Cliche.) But talking of clichs, as we were, how about a pure white Ballistic with a handful of confetti? Yes, we`re really going for your classic, pull out all the stops, full on white wedding bells and whistles. It smells of the perfect bridal bouquet, so everyone`s going to love it. There`s a drop or two of potent jasmine, which we should all know by now is a world famous aphrodisiac, with its heavy scent reminding us of warm, sulty evenings in sheltered moonlit gardens. There`s ylang ylang, from the flower whose petals are spread all over the marriage bed in the far east. We add bergamot to keep you feeling calm but curious and rose, symbol of love and purity. By the way, you don`t have to be getting married to buy them, or even know someone who`s getting married. You don`t have to be married yourself; they are so lovely you can sneak off and use one whenever you like. (Just don`t let your brand new partner catch you bathing in confetti or (s)he might run screaming from your home, never to be seen again.) Yes, anyway, a box of these is a perfect wedding gift for anyone with a bath. They are useful and beautiful and help to keep the flame burning.

This has such a beautiful scent. I love this bath bomb primarily for its scent. It’s a floral but it’s not a sexy strong floral, it’s more of a fresh, light and airy innocent floral. As a bridal bouquet of flowers would smell.

Here’s a tub demo video I recorded of mine

Chocolate Easter Egg

made with the same scent as the Lush ‘Which came First?‘ bath bomb

No need to tear yourself away from the sweet stuff, bring it to the bathroom with you – in the form of this skin-loving lemon oil and vegan white chocolate lather.

Rich, creamy chocolate entwines with comforting, sweet vanilla and zesty citrus oils to create a feast of cleansing, conditioning suds.

Big Blue Egg

This is a giant egg-shaped ‘Big Blue‘ bath bomb. It has the same popular oceanic lemon, lavender and seaweed oil scent as their popular in/store bath bomb. It smells fresh and clean and it does smell like the ocean. It feels like something spa-like.

Lush says: “This should probably be called the Big, Big Blue Egg. After all, you’ll feel like you’ve really taken a dip in the ocean when you immerse yourself in depths of skin-softening salt waters and are caressed by waves of lavender and lemon oils. ”

Big Blue body conditioner

2.5 out of 5 rating

I’ll be recording a video demo of this Saturday Feb 11.

In early 2017 the Lush fresh handmade cosmetics mail order website lush.co.uk/kitchen made a small batch of six custom made different body conditioners, having the same scent ingredients as a popular products. Big Blue was one of these. It was made with the scent of Lush’s popular ‘Big Blue’ bath bomb, which has a nice, natural oceanic scent made with lime, seaweed oil and lavender.

While this certainly made my skin soft and moisturized, I don’t think the scent translated particularly well. I can barely smell it. I have a Big Blue bath bomb here as a comparison and it doesn’t smell like the bath bomb to me. Oh well.

Relax, Take a Bath bubble bottle solid

Groovy Kind of Love

5 out of 5 see my demo video of it in the tub below.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Patchouli Oil, Tuberose Absolute, Neroli Oil, Rosewood, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Limonene, Linalool, Perfume, Roseie Red; Spring Green and Tangerine Lustres, Colour 4, Colour 14700, Colour 45950, Colour 45410, Colour 42000, Colour 17200.

This has a hippy ish, citrussy scent. It’s earthy and a wee bit spicy with patchouli, mixed with a tuberose floral. Hippy ish meaning, Floral, vaguely citrussy, with a shot of patchouli. It reminds me a bit of the scent of the Lush ‘Granny Takes a Dip’ bath bomb scent. Not exactly like it, but reminiscent of the citrus and spice combo.

Thank you to Amelia Ng for the lovely photo below

How to use:

Run a bath and drop in this rainbow bath bomb packed with rosewood, bergamot and ylang ylang essential oils. Feel your spirits lift and your skin refresh.

How to store:

Store this colourful groover in a cool dry place, ready for the most spectacular bath.

Below are my photos

I love the rainbow effect this bath bomb shows in the water as it fizzes away.

Many people don’t like the color of the water.

I don’t mind it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s a gold color.

Lush made an exclusive shower gel in scents that we love from other products. So one of the six shower gels that they made for us was Groovy Kind of Love.

Then a year later Lush made 12 new FUN multipurpose bars exclusive to the Liverpool Spa Superstore. One of them called ‘Flamingo’ was made in the scent of Groovy Kind of Love.

Some bath combos ive had with Groovy Kind of Love..

Here’s a demo video I made made of this in the tub

Revelation

4 out of 5 rating

The new 2017 Revelation has the scent of Berry Berry Christmas, not the Potion scent as the one in my review below is made from. Berry berry christmas and thus the new Revelation bath oil, have a lushious, fruity, orange scent. This 2017 revelation isn’t spicy, nor floral, as the one i reviewed below is. The one i had was just a prototype. 🙂

The prototype from the Lush Summit has a spicy scent.  I like the scent. It smells like carnation oil and cloves and was made in the Lush ‘Potion’ lotion scent, also having rose, tangerine.

The new one has orange and bergamot in it and I quite like the new scent. the new one is also a 4 out of 5 rating.

See my tub demo of it video below

Fox

3 out of 5
see my tub demo of Fox below
£5.00

Fox bath bomb smells very strongly of jasmine. though i do like jasmine, and i certainly like the smell of other lush honey shower gels, and i never have liked jasmine in large doses like this, especially with honey.
it also fizzes very fast.
but buying it went to a good cause.

Lie back and let the deftness of fiery, floral dance flurry distractions away. A steamy and unforgettably tantalising soak; as sultry jasmine makes an appearance, ylang ylang oil springs forth to enrich gorgeously-sensual waters.

Update; these are now on the Lush Australia site. And i read on there that they’ll be coming to all Lush stores, soon.

These bombs were initially Exclusive to the 2016 Lush Creative Showcase event, which is where I got mine.

Contains myrrh, cinnamon and black pepper. and it’s got gray silver glitter on the outside.

This changes colors in the water two or three times.

See my tub demo of this below
