Floating Island bath oil

newer bath oil style is 2.5 out of 5 rating

Original style melt is 4 out of 5 rating

I like the original floating island bath melt pictured below and i wish they would have kept that style instead of this one.  That one was more foamy and creamy.  However, i will say that this new bath oil style is more moisturizing than the original cupcake style Floating Island.

Floating Island has a lemon and sandalwood scent.  It’s the same scent as the lush bath melt of the same name.  Lush also made a shower smoothie with this scent called “Whitewash”.  The scent in this bath oil is stronger, really nice.  It’s a subtle scent though, don’t expect a big bold fragrance.  Very very moisturizing to my skin in the bath.  This is great for people with dry skin.

A round, solid bath oil.  Since April 2015 this has only been available if you lived in London and could go to the new Oxford Street ‘superstore’.  Now it is available on the lush.co.uk site for anyone to buy no matter what country we live in.

This bath oil wss discontinued a few years later, along with 20 other bath oils at the same time. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Here’s a video demo i made of the Floating Island bath oil in the tub

Gourmet soaps Olive Tree, Ro’s Argan, Mallorquin

‘Gourmet soap’ These soaps are soft like Movis soap.  They are more moisturizing and have more butters and fine ingredients. Also, they use ingredients from ‘Masai’ for the ‘Masai Lather” soap for instance to give back to the local community commerce in these regions of the world.

Click on a soap name below to watch my video demos of each of these gourmet soaps

Holy Cacao!

Masai Lather – Dark brown

Mallorquin –  toffee colored, made with almond milk, almond syrup, and ground almonds.

Mosquito repellent

Olive Tree – Green softening facial soap with olive oil

Ro’s Argan

Violet Nights bath oil

4 out of 5 rating for the purple versions i tried below throughout the years.

2.5 out of 5 for This latest version that i bought from lush. It was NOT like the ones i have pictured below. This new one that we bought for the May subscription box is the ugliest color. Its a red/green or brown green color. I put some in a glass for the picture. What happened?! It also has more of a bitter note to it. Maybe i just got a bad bottle or it was a bad batch. It still has the violet notes in it, its just theres an extra note in here that ttpically isn’t.

See my video demo of the Violet nights bath oil below.

Viilet nights is a thin, purple liquid that turns milky white when it hits the water.

Its got a similar scent to Lush’s ‘Tuca Tuca’ perfume. It’s a sweet violet and ylang ylang florals, with some vanilla, vetivert and sandalwood.

I dont particularly like the vetivert in here but im in the minority with that i think.

Violet, sandalwood, vanilla, ylang ylang.

A former ‘Cosmetics To Go’ company product, which Lush introduced back in 2011, and again in the Lush Kitchen in 2014. Lush is making for us once again in Nov 1 2015 in their online Lush Kitchen.

Here is the bottle of Violet Nights from when Lush was called Cosmetics To Go.

In this video below i have a bottle of Violet Nights on my YouTube channel, go forward to 13:40
