This was a new product included in the monthly subscription box for June 2026, for the ‘Fruitilishous’ box.

Zesty was formerly named ‘Calacas’. I remember when Lush started selling the Zesty body spray on their retail website and explained that they changed the name of Calacas fragrance to ‘Zesty’. I assume because Calacas scent family products were originally sold seasonly for ‘Dia de Los Muertos’ /‘Day of the Dead’ Mexican holiday. And the Calacas scent was SO popular. So i guess they figured it was so popular that it could be sold all year long as a regular item, so they changed the name from the Holiday name to ‘Zesty’.

Being Hispanic, i was kinda sad that the name changed, but i suppose i understand it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

the scent is made and has always been made with Lime, Neroli, and Frankincense. So it’s very citrussy because of the lime and neroli and resinous and somewhat lemonyish because of the frankincense. I have a 5ml bottle of pure frankincense essential oil because it’s on of my favorite fragrance notes. It’s been around since biblical times I.E. ‘Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh’, and has been used for years for church incense.

This Zesty body lotion is even more citrussy and even a bit brighter too than the original Calacas scent.

I think everyone would like this lotion scent.

The lotion itself is medium thick, and a beautiful color of yellow-green, which matches what it smells like. It’s not too greasy but it is a tiny bit for me. But it does eventually sink into the skin.
