This is not a citrus nor candy scent. I usually describe the scent as a chamomile tea, with frozen black currants in place of ice cubes, and a sprig of fresh lavender, and a vague scent of resinous Myrrh.
Lavender, Chamomile, Currant, Frankincense and Myrrh, Black Sugar, silver glitter.

Here’s a Lush Halloween version of Black Pearl called ‘Cob Web’. Same bomb just a different, fun shape for Halloween.
Review: This Lush bath bomb is the size of “Butterball“. Surprisingly it has lovely silver sparkles in the bomb. I think it looks better with the pretty silvery glitter than it would without it, as it’s color is kind of a chalky dark greyish color in the bath. The scent is so nice when it’s fresh, the scent has stayed on my skin hours after the bath. Lush made the 2005 Christmas soap “Twas the Night Before Christmas” in the same scent as this Black Pearl bath bomb. I think those Lushies that are weary of citrus scents or candyish scents will like this. I also feel that this will be a good for guys as well as women.
Lush Times 2007 description: The Black Pearl is a dark, mysterious Bath bomb named in honour of Captain Jack Sparrow’s ship in Pirates of the Caribbean. (We like Johnny Depp and we reckon Orlando Bloom’s not bad either.) It is studded with crystals of sea salt and scented with lavender and blackcurrant. Inside each one there’s a wise saying, a “pearl of wisdom” to enlighten you in your search for treasure.
Here’s a bath demo video i made of the black pearl bath bomb.
Here is a photo I took of all the Lush products made in the Black Pearl scent
