Banana Skin facial oil

5 out of 5 rating. See my 3 minute demo video of this facial oil below.

This is a solid facial oil. Lush has introduced four kinds. Some of you might be famiar with the popular 7 step korean skin care method. I follow the korean beauty trend. I also have been using the facial oils from the U.S. brand Sunday Riley. I love what facial oils do for my face.

So i was excited that Lush had created their own facial oils. And Lush went a step further by making their facial oils packageless, and solid.

I got all of them from the Lush 2018 creative showcase in Manchester England.

I wanted to try this Banana Skin first to review for you, mostly because this one is what my skin needs. Its nourishing and moisturizing for drier skin.

Right off the bat i can feel the difference tapioca flour that Lush adds to their facial oils makes. It makes it more of a dry oil, which i Love. If theres one thing i hate its having greasy/oily stuff lingering too long on my skin.

The scent is like custard. Lush adds tonka bean to this blend. In face there are SO many good things in this bar.

Lush uses tincture of bananas, which is factory waste, in the banana skin facial oil.

Then Lush adds mango butter, fresh bananas, organic grapeseed oil, apricot kernel oil, Ambrett seed oil, murumuru butter, Illipe butter, cupuacu butter, jojoba oil and sandalwood oil.

I love how it feels and how it works. I live that it sinks into my skin so fast. I can use a lot of this and my face will never get greasy.

I would say this performs as well as my sunday riley facial oils and my korean brands.

My skin looks great!

Happy bubble bar

It’s a gorgeous bar for sure. The fresh ones were bright turqoiuse blue and had golden dust on the one side near the stamped name “Happy”. It looked like verdi gris. This has my vote for prettiest Lush bubble bar ever in the history of Lushdome. Happy bubble bar has a lovely, strong orange scent. And there’s also sandalwood. Now orange with sandalwood. I’ve not heard of that particular combination before I don’t think in any lush products. The sandalwood changes this citrussy wonder. The sandalwood gives it a depth. Who knew? I highly recommend this lovely (scent and looks) bubble bar. It would go with the orangey “The Sicilian” ballistic as they were both out at the same time at one point.

Ingredients: Tangerine Oil ,  Sandalwood Oil , Neroli Oil , Orange Blossom Oil , Perfume, Colour 42090, Gold PowderSodium Bicarbonate, Cream Of Tartar , Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine,Cocoamide DEA,

Times description: Our bright new turquoise blue Bubble Bar Slice is Happy by name and happy by nature, courtesy of a not inconsiderable helping of neroli oil concealed inside its attractive self. Neroli is a terrifyingly expensive essential oil, made from the flowers of the bitter orange tree, which has the ability to make people feel cheery and smile again. We add tangerine and orange blossom oils; they help too plus they are excellent skin conditioners (another reason to smile). Relaxing sandalwood gives a touch of spice to Happy’s fragrance and encourages a sense of well being. Well, what would you have called it?

To get started, stand your hand mask upright in a bowl which is large enough to fit both of your hands in comfortably. Add enough hot water to cover the product and stir, allowing the treatment to develop and thicken. Plunge your hands into the resulting dreamy, creamy lotion and soak for around 15 minutes (or until the doorbell rings). Alternatively, the melted treatment can be massaged into hands before rinsing off.

This smells good. It has a light perfume. Here’s a video i made to show i use it 🙂

The video will show you what the consistency is like up close.

Make sure not to microwave this. It will get too hot and you may burn yourself if you’re not sure to test the temp with your finger  I heat the water then i pour it into the bowl some at a time, so i can control it more that way.

This worked well for me and made my skin feel and look softer.  The *feel* of the warm, whippy goodness in the bowl is heaven. Put aside some time to do this, it’s not good if you try to rush this.  Just like you’re i the spa getting a treatment.
