Honey I Washed the Kids bath bomb

3.5 out of 5 rating

See my 1 minute tub demo video below

Lush has opened up a new store in the Harajuku area of Japan. At this new, special store Lush will sell 35-50 exclusive bath bombs. One of these exclusive Japan Harajuku store bombs is Honey I Washed the Kids.

Its got a strong fragrance of bergamot, and orange oil and other goodies so that it winds up smelling like toffee. Its a very popular scent that Lush has used in many different bath bombs and othrr products in the past.

Lush used to sell a bath bomb in all their stores called ‘Honey Bee’ which was HIWTK scented. However it was discontinued in 2016. It was a pale color. It wasnt a bright yellow color like this Japan exclusive bomb.

And the Christmas ‘Shoot For rhe Stars’ has the same scent just a different look. I once used them both together in my bath.

This bath bomb doesnt have any glitter. It has something in it that seems to be somewhat conditioning to my skin. The red geometric shaped design on the bomb seem to be little bath oils.

The scent is nice and strong.

When i compare it to the other exclusive bath bombs it isnt one of my favorites. But it is good.

if you like all things in this scent i would recommend it.

new one from June 2025 called ‘Sweet Honey’.

Lucky Cat

3 out of 5 rating. See my 2 minute tub demo video below.

I assumed this woukd be a 5 star bath bomb just because of the way it looks; pink, cat, glitter. However, the pink color is only on the outside. The bath bomb itself is a peach, yellow/tan color. The pink color comes off as soon as the bomb enters the water, perhaps by design.

The problem comes when the pink powder sticks to the tub or your skin, as it did mine.

Upon investigating I read a LOT of complaints about this on both the Lush USA retail website reviews and the Uk retail website reviews of Lucky Cat bath bomb.

So thats why i dropped this gorgeous looking bath bomb to a 3 rating.

As i mentioned in my video i failed to take my own advice and add a squeeze of shower gel to my bath water before dropping the bomb in. So i wod up having to scrub and use bleach after my bath.

The smell is a great floral scent that is somewhat fruity and somewhat sweet. Pity about the color.

this bomb makes the water a pale tan color as you can see in my video

Lush Japan Harajuku New Concept Store

November 2018- Lush has opened up a new concept store in Harajuku section of Japan.

To commemorate the opening, lush has introduced five or six of the exclusive Lush Japan bath bombs at the Lush 2018 Creative Showcase. I’ll list them below and include links to the product article.

This new store will have 75 New, never been made before bath bombs, and 25 Retro bombs. It also has 100 new bubble bars.

Below i have a list of all thee bath bombs at this store and another list below that with all their bubble bars. I’ve used, made. tub demo and reviewed 80% of everything here.

here is a video i recorded of 33 of the bath bombs.

At this new store, after downloading a cool app,  one can hold their phone up to a bath bomb at this store and the price, name, description about the bomb come up, and allows one to order it.

then as one watches the bath bombs come through a conveyor belt that winds into the store and the customer can pick their bath bomb up!

I also hear that lush is playing with the concept of having this store only stocked with fan favorites, which change out every month.  Admittedly I may have one or two details confused as I am getting this information second and third hand.  I plan on asking Lush if this is true.  If it is what a great idea.

Collabing with @DahliaHayashi who has my photos of the six Lush Japan bombs that i received at the Lush 2018 Creative Showcase, on her blog. And now im using her photos of all the remaining Lush Japan new store bath bombs on my blog. 😊

Made with the Lush ‘Ginger’ fragrance. This used to be their sugnature fragrance when they were called ‘Cosmetics To Go’.

Its made with rose, ginger root.

Shijimi

Made with Lavender and Chamomile.

Smelling similar to Lush products ‘Peace’ massage bar, or a bit like Ickle Baby Bot bath bomb.

I’ll post more as i get more info on the scent.

Witch’s Cauldron

Witch’s Cauldron is a Lush Oxford Street Halloween 2018 exclusive. only 99 were made.

It’s called a fun bar, and it is a ‘FUN’ multi-purpose bar, but it also has three little bath bombs in it.

There is a total of six pieces; three shaped bath bombs and three colored sections of FUN.

It says on the instructions how to use it

So i formed a ‘kind of Cauldron’. lol. And i made little purple bombs or bubbles i’m not sure which 🙂

I put it at the bottom of the tub and i started filling it. When the water went in the cauldron the bath bomb i tucked inside began to bubble and it looked like a little cauldron!

Here’s a 58 second video i recorded

I then gathered it all together and smooshed it together and was able to use the whole thing as a bubble bar. I held it in the tub under the stream of water coming out of the faucet. it made a LOT of bubbles and i still had the entire thing left.

It looks like i hardly used any! The water turned green, then black!

Then i threw the last two tiny bombs into my tub. And my tub looked like a larger version of my little Fun cauldron!

It’s made with the Lush’Lord of Misrule’ scent; vanilla, patchouli & black pepper.

love it!

Lush will open its third all naked shop in Japan in mid 2019.

Lush introduced the products that will be made for this store at their annual Creative Showcase.

I was fortunate enough to attend the annual Lush Cosmetics Creative Showcase this year, 2018.

While there i was lucky enough to be able to buy the following exclusive prodicts, and included are a couple of exclusive products which were given to me by the creators at the showcase.

Amongst my favorite products are the six bath bombs that were on display at the showcase. Once a day (the showcase was a two day event) a magical van would open up in an explosion of smoke! And out would pop a group of Lush staff dressed up and leading songs about the bath bomb that would be demonstrated before those of us in the crowded line. Then they would announce that the bombs would be sold to those of us in line, one per person, until they sold out.

I was able to get multiple of each because my husband bought a ticket to the event too and was with me in line. He bought one too and gave his to me. Additionally, we had tickets for both days, so the next day we waited in line again and bought one each again.

Then as we were leaving, i got a call saying the owners of Lush wanted to thank me for what ive done for them throughout the years by giving me a bag with some goodies which included one each of these six exclusive bath bombs.

I couldnt believe it! So this is why i have multiples and have been doing giveaways with them.

So i have taken photos and videos of all of them for you.

Black Rose

Kitsune (Fox spirit)

Lush also had skincare, hair are, and solid mouthwash, wash cards and toothy tabs. ill post picture i took of these too below

Giant Bombshells – Fruit, Floral,Seaweed

While roaming around the creative showcase my husband and I happened upon an area that was beautifully arranged with fresh flowers and other goodies.  It looked like a garden in the middle of everything at the Creative showcase.

Upon poking further-a kind woman demonstrated these to me, explaining the concept of the fresh, ‘pick your own’ fillings.  They had four kinds and colors of giant ‘bombshells’ there.

The only one I don’t know the name of and don’t have it in any of my video of the creative showcase nor in any of my photos at the event.

These hollowed out bath bombs are twice the size of the regular sized Lush bath bomb.

The fillings coincided with each of the four bombshells; blue=Floral, yellow and orange=fruit, aqua green=seaweed, and like I said I don’t know what the pink ones are.  The pink one is the only one that I didn’t fill with anything.

These fragile beauties traveled 2,500 miles from England to the United States, in my carry on bag.  My husband wrapped them so wonderfully that all but one survived perfectly intact,  and even survived a groping by the customs agents at the airport because they were searching them for drugs or explosives. I’m not even kidding.

It was explained to me that the fruits, flowers, plant material, etc were all grown organically by Lush partners for this purpose. Certainly practicing fair trade and cruelty free products in cooperating with farmers  around the world.

My favorite is the blue floral bombshell.  Like the fruit bombshell, the blue floral one has two shades, in this case blue shades.  And treble one has a small sprinkling of glitter.

Thus far I’ve only bathed and demoed one, the fruit bombshell.  I’ll post my photos and demo video of each of the the bombshells as I use them.  I will keep updating this page as I use each of the other three.

Hulder

5 out of 5 rating.
Hulder is a scandinavian mythological creature. Its akin to a siren or a mermaid. It’s part animal part human.

check out my tub demo below of this glittery gorgeous bomb.

This is an exclusive bath bomb shown at the Lush uk Creative Showcase event in England September 23 & 24.

I took some video footage of hulder at the Lush showcase for you. I also recorded a tub demo video for you, And i also took photos of mine in the tub.

Lush also sold iron on patches of the exclusive bombs at the showcase event.

We were able to buy one only once per day and only for one hour when the magic bus opened. But first-One had to see the secret count down signs that were placed throughout the event to let us know when and where. It was a fun game.

Eventually these six exclusive bath bombs will only be sold in Lush Japan’s first all ‘naked’ Lush store, which is slated to open in 2019.

Hulder is my favorite of the six bombs bevause of the way it looks and the way it smells.

The scent is very different, in a good way. It smells floral and earthy with a big of greenery. Absolutely gorgeous. It smells both pretty and mysterious.

I didnt want to get out of the tub.

The bomb shows green and purple as it fizzes. Green and purple are my favorite color combination. My hair is dyed green and purple.

Im so so grateful that Jack Constantine gave me a random act of kindness.

On Instagram some lushies who like to do makeup looks have been creating makeup looks to match lush halloween products. So, since my daughter loves makeup, i had my daughter do a look for Hulder. 🙂

Kitsune

5 out of 5 rating

See my tub demo i recorded at the end of this review.

Here’s a pic i took of the tray full of Kitsune bath bombs for you.

Here’s a video below that i recorded of the tray of them at the Lush Creative Showcase in England.

Here’s a picture of mine.

see my tub demo i recorded for you below.

i like the theme of this Kitsume bath bomb. Kitsume means Fox in Japanese. I like what Kitsume signifies, and its cute, looking like a cross between a cat, a shell and a fox.

In some cultures in japan it is a fox spirit which has magical powers.

It has a very citrusy scent. not sweet in any way. it reminds me of the Lush cheer up buttercup bath bomb scent.

It makes the water a lovely peach color. And there is also a gold sparkle. not too much sparkle, it’s minimal.

This bomb fizzes very fast and furious. really fresh!

It doesn’t have skin moisturizing properties in it.

All in all i love this bomb. i would buy another one or two.

heres a video demo

Royalty

5 out of 5 rating. See my Tub Demo video of it that I recorded for you below

I took a picture of the big stack of them at the creative showcase.

A golden shimmer all over the bath bomb.

I bought the little iron on patch for each of the creative showcase bombs.

This is a Lush Cosmetics bath bomb made exclusively for the New Lush Japan Naked ship opening at the beginning of the new year.

From the upper left going clockwise:

I can’t remember the name of this first one, Kitsume, Black Rose, Royalty, Harajuku, God is a Woman (name changed to Goddess) , and Hulder.

Hulder is my favorite – Because of the look of it, AND the scent, AND how it makes the water look after its dissolved in the tub.

Jack Constantine was kind enough to give me and another attendee one of each of the six exclusive bath bombs. However i had already bought two when i was at the showcase the orevious day.

So i have one left for a Giveaway! 😊

Here’s a Bathtub Demo of it that I recorded for you

Royalty bath bomb is made with jasmine and vanilla. the lush person at the Creative Showcase told me there was also sandalwood in it.

A Gold Crown. What’s not to like?

The scent of Royalty reminds me of The Lush ‘Vanillary’ scent except this adds sandalwood.

I don’t know if they add conditioning things in this bath bomb but it definitely seems to be more conditioning than most lush bath bombs. The water almost becomes milky.

There is a beautiful gold shimmer in the water. Not too much though.

Snowman Bomb Bomb

4 out of 5 rating

Dont look now but Lush has actually made a minty bath product.

This doesnt happen very often.

This two piece Snowman Bomb bomb is two baths worth if you want to use each of the two pieces for one bath, or you can use both pieces in one go!

It’s made with spearmint in particular. I was wary of this bomb because Sometimes mint can irritate my skin or make it red. I needn’t have worried though becaise i experienced nothing but loveliness, no irritation.

Its not got any eucalyptus in it like Outback mate or christingle.

Its a fast fizzer, fizzes away very quickly but its a big bomb so it takes a little while. I ised both pieces for my bath and this demo.

I like this. I would buy another one.

See my tub demo video below

Princess Bomb Bomb

3.5 out of 5 rating

This is one of three different style of Lush Holiday bath bomb. Having quite a different shape, this bomb is in two parts, a head and a torso. Lush has introduced a santa, a snowman and a princess in this style.

They can be somewhat unweildy if youre not aware that the head isnt attached to the body.

Upon investigating these bombs ay the lush creative showcase i promptly dispatched a head while many people watched as it’s lone head rolled across the floor evetyone stifling a laugh.

Princess is pink and yellow, having a yellow bath homb head and a larger mauve colored torso.

Its definitely a much bigger bomb than regular Lush bokbs so take thst into consideration when looking at the price.

This bomb is a fast fizzer though it dpestake longer to fizz away than most fast fizzers because of its size.

Lush creator said lush made princess with a new scent. Its a lovely powdery light floral. A young floral scent. I quite liked the way my skin smelled long after getting out of the tub and drying off.

There’s something about this proncess bomb that is unnerving, perhaps because it looks like a doll, and sometes dolls can be kind of creepy lol. My petsonal creepiness aside i think this bomb will be very nice for young people to use because its kind of interactive.

I enjoyed using it but i dont think id buy another one.

Here is a demo video i recorded of Princess Bomb Bomb in the tub.

The World’s Smallest Disco

5 out of 5 rating

See my demo tub video below

Above is a photoi took at the annual 2018 Lush Creative Showcase. Lush had balloons made to look like bath bombs, including the Worlds Smallest Disco.

This is a festive bomb for the Holidays. This one takes out all the stops. It’s black first of all, and it has bright pink, green, blue and yellow discs of color that dissolve and form little puddles of bright day glo color against a sparkling pallette of black.

The bomb has a nice citrussy scent of lime and grapefruit.

Its a bit of a clean up, nothing too henious but there is some cleanup involved.

The black and multicolored glitter look like a million tiny mirrors floating through the water. Mesmerizing.

We all like a good party, whether it’s boogieing at a bar, shaking what your mama gave ya in a club or dad dancing at a wedding. For when you want to celebrate but don’t fancy socialising, put on your favourite tunes, forget about throwing shapes and toss this bath bomb into a hot bath instead.

There’ll be no more crying at the discotheque, watch uplifting lime and grapefruit oils dance in the air as the colours swirl and strobe across your bath. Get your tipple on with cognac oil as you get down and hit your own private dancefloor (but please don’t actually dance in the bath).

Perle De Sel

4 out of 4 rating see my 3 mi ute Tub Demo Video Below.

This years Snowcake product is a bath bomb called Perle De Sel. I was glad to see this replacement of the traditional Lush snowcake Christmas bomb ‘Lush Pud’. I quite like this all white version vs. the brown color of the previous years.

Perle De Sel has a lovely bit of gold nuggets in the outside middle of the bomb.

Snowcake is a very mild scent, having almond benzoin and rose together makes a light, comforting scent. It smells like a cross between snow and something yummy.

Lush has made many products throughout the years in this scent and this years product is a most elegant version in my opinion.

As it dissolves a lovely shade of aqua blue spews out of the bomb making the water shimmer with the addition of blue and silver sparkle.

Absolutely beautiful.

I would but another one but i wouldnt stock up on them.

Here’s a pic with my vintage Lush Snowcake perfume.

Cheery Christmas

5 out of 5 rating
See my 2 minute tub demo video below

£3.95 (uk and converted to $5.15)

This is a pretty, new snowflake shape for Christmas. A bright pink color and it has some blue inside as well. Its not a large bomb, its more on the medium/small size.

The scents is a new one, as Lush states its made with lemon, buchu and currant.

It smells brightly, fruity to me, but not in a citrus way, more in a berryish way. I thought this smelled somewhat familiar but couldn’t put my finger on it. But after asking lush i was told its a brand new scent.

I used Cheery Christmas bath bomb in my bath along with the Lush blackberry and currant Scrub scrub scrub. I figured since yhey both have berries in them they would go nicely.

I like the blue and pink combination of the bath bomb colors in the tub.

The end result is a different shade of purple, almost a mauve color, with silver sparkle.

Gorgeous!

I bought two more Cheery Christmas bath bombs when i placed my secondLush Christmas order.

Lush description: Outside, snowflakes fall to the ground, creating a picturesque postcard landscape, untouched and unspoilt. Against the back drop of a winter dream, Sicilian lemon oil refreshes and rejuvenates putting a smile on the face of all who bathe here. Pop this bundle of joy in the bath and allow the intricate pattern to take shape before your eyes. Lay back, feel relaxed and enjoy the festive season as blackcurrant-scented buchu oil spreads the cheer.

After all, ’tis the season to be jolly.

Heres my 2 minute Tub Demo Video

Heres a pic i took of a bath i took with two bath bombs, one of them being cheery christmas bomb.

Holey Night

5 out of 5 rating.  Keep in Mind , I LOVE sandalwood.

See my two minute tub demo video below

5 out of 5 rating

I like the play on words.

The scent of this bath bomb surprised me. Its not citrus. Its got rose and sandalwood. It leaves a beautiful floral scent on my skin long after my bath is over after ive dried off.

I recorded this display full of Holey Night bombs at the Lush Creative Showcase event.

Holey night is made with soya milk powder which makes the water a creamier texture. Its quite softening on the skin.

I like the creamy pink and blue foam.

The end result is water with a turquoise hue and silver shimmer.

See my tub demo below

Oh holey night, the moon is brightly shining. This unidentified bath time object is a discovery you don’t want to miss, tune into balancing rose absolute and relaxing sandalwood oil for a journey into the unknown.

Pop into the bath and watch as the colours shift and change with your mood. It’s no hoax that softening soya milk powder lands on the skin with a brightening sunburst of Sicilian lemon oil. Venture to a galaxy far far away in an epic bathroom exploration.

Goddess (formerly God is a Woman)

5 out of 5 rating.

I bought exclusive Lush iron on patches in my photo above of ‘Goddess’ at the 2018 Lush Creative Showcase for £3.00

Made with the Lush “Zen” soap scent. I describe the scent in my “Lush Goddess” perfume video below. Its woody and kind of green. It can smell kind of incense-y but this is not a sweet scent at all. If you like ‘Earthy’ scents you’ll probably like it. If you only like sweet scents, or fruity or light pretty white florals then you might not like the scent.

Made with the Lush ‘Zen’ soap scent. I describe the scent more in my video and review below. Heres a picture of it in the Oxford Street store.

This bath bomb was originally created by Jack Constantine for Ariana Grande after he saw her video for her song ‘God is a Woman’.

⭐️In my video demo of mine in the tub below i also recorded a video of the giant one that was on display at the Creative Showcase event. I got real close so you can see the foam spewing out!⭐️

When creating this bath bomb Jack Constantine mimicked the gorgeous muted colors of blue, lilac, gray, silver, green in Arianna’s video within the Goddess bath bomb.

Also striking is the ethereal nature from silver and lavender shimmer powder.

Its scent is a combination of earthy, green and floral. It smells like it looks if that makes sense. I think Jack did an excellent job of creating the feel and vibe of Ariana’s video into this bath bomb’s look and scent.

initially this was going to be given to folks who bought tickets to attend the 2028 Lush Creative Showcase in Manchester England.

On the second day they began selling these along with the other exclusive items in the holiday products area. so that was nice that anyone attending the event eventually had a chance to purchase one.

naturally i purchased as many as i could fit in my bag so i could bring back for my friends and fellow bloggers who didnt get one.

Here is a video of when i got my order of these goddess bath bombs as well as the soap, etc.
