Pink Petigrain

2 out of 5 rating

This is the most bitter thing I’ve ever smelled in a long time.

I wanted to like this because its so pretty.

Pink petigrain bubble bar is supposed to share its scent with the Lush madame president bath bomb. Grapefruit and petigrain.

Firstly, i LOVE the scent of Madame President. I bought six of them.

Secondly, i HATE the scent of this Pink Petigrain blossom. When i got it out of my package my eyes lit up because of the pretty coral color and the flower shape.

But i recoiled back when my nose smelled it. I said to myself ‘There is NO WAY my petigrain flower smells like madame president bath bomb’.

Maybe because some things melted in my order the scents combined strangely? Dunno.

I have both Madame President bomb & Pink Petitgrain blossom bubnle bar side by side. NO.

I don’t know if i got a bad one or what

Did my nose just all of a sudden after 17 years just say ‘April, i’m done.’? I’m not sure, but suffice it to say i dont like the bitter, unpleasant smell of this bubble bar, and i won’t be buying another one. I had to use something else with it because i couldnt stand the smell. How odd. I havent had a reaction to a lush product in quite sometime. But i guess i cant like them all. *Shrug*

Your mileage may vary.

Description

For a couple of hours, lay back and indulge in pink waters covered in soft, fluffy bubbles. Calming petitgrain oil works its wonders on worries and cares, the woody scent evoking images of summer walks through citrus groves. Meanwhile, refreshing grapefruit oil lifts moods high above the clouds of the day, bringing with it memories of breakfasts taken on warm, sunlit verandas. Hold this flower under running water and let it spin and build bubbles before breathing deeply and allowing yourself to be transported away on a cheerful, summer breeze.

Mint bubble brush

Mint bubble brush is one of three new ‘bubble brush’ design type of re-usable bubble bars from Lush Cosmetics.

Lush has come out with five new re-usable bubble bars, three of them being in the bubble brush type. Mint is the blue one. Its got a minty scent that isnt too sweet. In fact i i wish it were a *bit* more sweet. Its the scent of their ‘Freeze’ shower gel.

Its not quite like Christingle body conditioner. Mint bubble brush isnt that sweet. Its the scent of their ‘Freeze’ shower gel.

I love the deep blue hue one can attain with this bubble bar. Its tun to drip blotches of blue on the bubbles. And it’s fun to paint the bubbles as i show in the video.

I enjoy combining colors, as those of you who have seen my bath cocktails know. I often like to create gradients or ombre effects with different bath products.

Well these new Lush bubble bars lend themselves well to this kind of blending, as ive tried to show below.

I think these new bubble brush bars are quite fun. I like that the three primary colors are represented. I would give these bubble brush bars a 4 out of 5. While i don’t particularly like the re-usable bubble bars as much as the regular lush bubble bars, these are fun because you can use them in different ways. I would buy another one of each color. But it’s not one i would stock up on.

A New Lush bath bomb for Ariana Grande?!

https://www.instagram.com/p/BlV0lo5HbYF

For her new video ‘God is a Woman’!

Jack Constantine recreated the beautiful purple and blue hues in her new, visually stunning video.

i can only imagine what the scent of this might be.

I don’t know that it will be sold to the public. I’m hoping so. Wouldn’t that be great if Lush decided to sell these as a #LushLabs Exclusive?

I imagine something along the lines of breath of God but maybe with more of the feminine aspect or the feminine notes of it. Maybe rose or jasmine. Maybe some rosewood.

Something earthy, or something ethereal?

It’s fun to imagine what it might smell like.

What do you guys think it might smell like?

I gathered all of my Lush think pink products that i’ve collected throughout the years.

Scent Family

My think pink lush tote

My Lush Times 2006 think pink catalog.

Funny Face fun bar from the Lush Summit.

Pink Custard jelly which was made in the think pink scent, Limited edition dother’s ay 2017.

My Two Front Teeth bubble bar.

This is such a pretty bath bomb. It smells of vanilla, neroli, lavender and tonka bean. The first time I tried this I didn’t really like the tonka bean at all. I don’t But after using it again, wow, it’s fruity, and girly, and a tad foody, all at the same time. The orange-y neroli note is there, the creamy but not too sweet vanilla, the bright lavender.

This makes water that is a pretty medium dark pink. The original one had candy hearts and tiny heart confetti made out of Soap. The redesigned 2017 version  has silver glitter and is a 200g size instead of the 100g size.

Lush Times 2006 Description: Darlings, this is the ultimate in fuchsia pink baths. Four candy flowers top this marvel of utter pinkness and, as it fizzes furiously, it unleashes a shower of pink confetti into the bathwater. We’re using our brand new favourite tonka bean essential oil because it smells so wickedly fabulous, darlings! It also helps you to get in touch with your deeper emotions. Do be careful whom you meet for lunch just after you bathe! We don’t want to go eleasing our deeper emotions all over the starter and upsetting the other ladies, or do we?

Ingredients: Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Lavender Oil,  Tonka Absolute, Vanilla Absolute, Neroli Oil,  Silver lustre

It’s said to have the ‘Prince Charming’ shower gel scent. Though in my noses opinion (your mileage may vary) the bright fruity note in the shower gel is less so in the bath bomb. theres a floral note in Prince Charming shower that is more prevelant in the bath bomb.

Citrussy, floral with a woody-ish note.

This was an exclusive at the Creative showcase and at Oxford Street superstore. It’s a black version of the Lush Yellow Submarine bath bomb and it has a different scent than the yellow one.

This black Trisent is made with lime, lemon and cassia. Has two shades of green glitter. It smells like a spicy citrus scent, quite yummy.

Here’s some photos I took of it

Mermaid

4 out of 5 rating See my tub demo video below.

Fyi-Lush has made three different bath products which have the word mermaid in the name; 2 bath bombs, which are nothing alike, and one bubble bar named mermaid tale, which is nothing like the other three.

This new mermaid bath bomb was initially an exclusive in the lush kitchen subscription box.

This bath bomb is made with the same scent as the ‘Baked Alaska‘ Christmas soap, which is very very citrussy with grapefruit, lime, etc.

Its a pretty bath bomb, its a faster fizzer than some of the slow melty ones. You can see what color the bath water winds up looking like in my video. I like it.

Madame President

5 out of 5 rating. See my tub demo video below

This is very citrussy in a grapefruit way. And it also has petigrain which smells like bitter orange. So this time what i’d call a sweet scent.

That scent! ♥️ Those colors! Purple and Gold.

Form your cabinet with petitgrain and grapefruit to keep you calm and revitalised during the approaching term. So, no matter what you stand for, rest assured that you run the world. Good luck, Madame President, for the next four years!

You’ll love this if you like:
– Bright, crisp scents.

– Bathing in shimmering waters to feel worthy of running the country.

Benefits:
– Sparkling grapefruit is antiseptic on your skin and also helps to boost your mood and confidence.
– The addition of cornstarch ensures your skin is left feeling soft and clean.
– Petitgrain is thought to alleviate anxiety and relieve mental fatigue.

How to use: Drop your bath bomb into warm water and watch the colours fizz across the bath.

How to store: Make sure to keep your bath bomb in a cool, dry place until you’re ready to use it.

It makes great bath art, and the end result is magenta voloted water with gold sparkles.

April Showers

5 out of 5 rating

Has a sweet violet scent.

see my tub demo video below 😊

Violet! The scent is reminiscent of the violet scented ‘Ne Worry Pas’ bath bomb, especially because of the same milkiness of the water. see my tub demo video of this beautiful bath bomb below.

I was told it (and Poisson D Avril bubble bar) was made and named after me. I still don’t know if i believe that though 🙂

It has small pink and purple ‘raindrops’ made from a solid bath oil substance. They form pretty purple and pink raindrops in the water.

What a beautiful bath bomb. It turn the water a milky white, and then the purple and pink bath melt type substance looks so cool floating in the water. Reminds me of the Lush solid bath oils.

It was voted on by us and remade for the April 2021 subscription box.

My skin smelled of sweet violets long after my bath was over. I love when i can smell the lovely scent of a product on my skin.

When the water is mixed it makes a light purple colored water with some lavender shimmer.

Here’s a youtube video of it in the bath that i recorded so you can see what the water looks like.
