Double Vitality is one of two pink, star-shaped bath oils at Oxford Street. This one is a sandwhich type, 2 pink stars put together with a cream filling. Double Vitality smells like peppermint and lemon.
I like the star-shaped “I am a Radiant Being’ bath oil more than this Double Vitality, but this is nice.
Here are the two different smelling bath oils, which are both pink and both star-shaped, but i put them side by side so you can see the slight differences in style as well as scent.
I have a short video below of this bath oil in my tub.
Lush description: Calm the storm as you unwind amongst clouds of mint and oakwood; you can almost smell the weather turning.
Lush made 15 different solid bath oils in 2014 as accompaniments to the new at the time Lush Gorilla perfumes. One of those perfumes was called ‘The smell of weather turning’.
There is mint and oakwood in both the perfume and this ‘Oil On Troubled Water’ bath oil. It does remind one of what it smells like in the air when a storm is coming. Before a storm the air can seem electric with ions. And then theres the petrichor smell.
The mint does remind me of the fresh, clean, cold air when it starts to rain, thunder and lightning.
And the woody note sort of warms up the mint with its woody comforting scent.
But honestly, THAT COLOR.
Stunning. Its a shimmery cobalt blue ball with the scent of a storm and having moisturizing properties. There is also some purple color here and there amongst the blue.
So this shot below is when Oil on Troubled Waters was just starting to melt and spread out in my hot, but not too hot, bath water. Also, it looks like when there is a puddle of rain water on the pavement with some blue oily substance on top. ‘Oil Over Troubled Water’
There are multiple references in the names of the perfume and the bath oil.
The oil on a rain puddle.
The lyrics to 70’s Simon and Garfunkle’s classic hit song ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’.
The smell of weather turning. Oil Over Troubled Waters
One comes before the other. The storm comes before the rain puddle.
I love the outstanding creativity that Lush had when they brought this whole concept together in a 1.5 inch bath oil ball.
Now below you can see the purple come out and the line of irridescent shimmer in the water.
😯😍
The scent of Oil On Troubled Water is medium strong. These little beauties dont make the water overly oily, it’s just the right amount of moisturizing.
Sometimes what i would do is have this bath oil with any green lush bath bomb. Then the result is green bath water with sparkly cobalt blue and purple streaks.
I would rate this a 5 out of 5.
Here’s a video i made of what this looks like in the tub
5 out of 5When the Lush Oxford Street superstore opened we all wondered what this rumor of Oxford Street soap woukd smell like. We all thought it might be scented with the 29 High Street fragrance, however it isn’t. This makes sense since the onky place tge sold that at the time was the original Lush store st 29 High Street store in Dorse, Poole England. This Oxford Strert soap has a nice, clean citrus fragrance, not sweet, more like clean snd fresh. Oxford Street soap has no tonka nor ylang ylang as the 29 High Street perfume does.
Here’s a picture I took of both my Oxford Street store guest soap.
The giant oxford soap below is up at the front window and looks like a street sign. Its about two and a half feet tall. 😊
And below is the pre-made guest soap.
I appreciate that my friend was able to buy these for me when she attended the grand opening. 😊♥️
One of two Oxford street bath oils, that are orange. Happy Thoughts is coated in red salt.
It smells perfectly Orangey and zesty.
Orange, color and scent, is said to lift the spirits if youre feeling down.
I show the oxford street store catalog page just to show you how lush describes Happy Thoughts.
my rating still suggests that i would recommend this if you like the smell of oranges.
If i had to pick only one bath oil out of the 20 different ones, i wouldnt necessarily pick Happy Thoughts.
It makes bright orange oil blobs in the bath and the scent doesnt get weak once its in the water which is great. I love the smell of oranges so i liked this one. there are no sparkles or shimmer in this one.
