Yog Nog jelly

5 out of 5 rating

See my video below of this jelly 🙂

Lush introduced Yog Nog jelly in August of 2018. Lush may, or may not, have this available for Christmas 2019.

This is an opaque, single colored yellow jelly. It feels more conditioning than other Lush jellies.

Its made with Clove bud oil, and ylang ylang flower. It reminds me of the burnt sugar smell of a creme brulee dessert. Like egg nog with burnt sugar. Yummy.

Lush International has made many products in the yog nog scent.

The Big Banana

3.5 out of 5 rating. See my demo and review video below.

This has its own new scent which is made with almond essential oil, ylang ylang flower oil, orange oil, clove bud oil, and mashed banana. Along with shea butter and other skin moisturizing goodies to add the proper amount of slip for a massage.

I am living for the various fruit shaped products that Lush have been making and selling exclusively since Sept 2018

The Big Banana has a nice smell. It doesnt smell like banana runts candy. Its a light, more natural banana scent.

The consistency is oily.

Its not like sympathy for the skin in scent which is more earthy imo.

here is my video i recorded for you which helps explain the scent and shows the consistency.

Skinny Dip

6 out of 5 lol

It’s a very thin gel which you have to shake up. I put mine in the fridge so when shaken it gets thicker. I love it.I have to admit to needing to have it around at all times. I love spicy/foody smells and Skinny Dip is THE spicy and softening shower gel/bath foam I’ve tried to date from Lush. This gel was rabidly popular in it’s day and I don’t know why Lush disconinued this.

Initially Lush titled this a “body conditioner” in their catolog because it was different than the other shower gels. It was used somewhat differently than the shower gels, and looked different. Then later lush just decided to list it under shower gels.

I used it in the bath and i even washed my hair with it at times. Ohhh what fabulous things it did for my skin.

This smells like very strong cloves. there’s a creamy, buttery-rich bakery smell too, lightly. Skinny Dip kind of smells like an uber strong ‘Phoenix Rising/Bathos’ but with even more notes and more ingredients.

The gel needed to be shaken up though or it will seperate. When it does seperate (like oil and water) the top will be more of a off white creamy thick consistency and the bottom half a thin watery dark golden mixture as you can see in the photo i took of mine above. It’s got white chocolate bits, coconut, cocoa butter bits, almond oil, clary sage, ylang ylang, cedarwood, clove, Vetivert Oil, Palmarossa Oil and then some skin softening goodies like cocoa butter, almond oil.

I have dry skin and I love how this makes my skin so soft as well as fragrant. The scent lasts on the skin longer than most so that’s great. I also used it on my hair.

There was a learning curve to this scent for me. The first time I tried it I did’t like it. I thought it was waaay too strong and it didn’t smell like chocolate to me, which i mistakenly thought it would. Later after learning how to read the ingredients listing, I realized it was full of clove oil, cedarwood and Ylang Ylang.

i put some in a ramekin to take a pic to show you all what it looks like. Its not a very good picture, I didnt know what i was doing back then camera-wise. 😄

Here’s a demo video i made of using the Lush skinny Dip Buttercream at the sink.

Ingredients: Creamed Coconut, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Water, Glycerine, Aloe Vera Gel, Almond Oil, Cocoa Butter, Perfume, Clove Bud Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Clary Sage Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Vetivert Oil, Palmarossa Oil, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, *Linalool, Geraniol

Size: 7.0 oz $11.60 Skinny Dip – 3.5 oz $5.80
NOTE: This buttercream product may melt and is NOT guaranteed to arrive solid during the summer months!

Here are some photos i took of other Lush products with the same scent.

Lush 2006 description: As a shower gel Skinny Dip was one of those products which people loved or hated; now that it has metamorphosed into a Butter Cream we hope that even more people will love it (the ones who didn’t like having to shake the bottle to mix up the cocoa butter, for example). Now, Lush’s gorgeous, violet and clove scented shower extravagance comes in solid form with softening cocoa butter, soothing aloe vera and our ever popular infusion of creamed coconut. Washing your body with Skinny Dip Butter Cream feels like a soothing massage with relaxing tropical oils.

This is Skinny Dip but in buttercream form. While it doesn’t begin to have the creamy goodness and originality of it’s predecessor shower gel, Skinny Dip buttercream is a nice, medium consistency and smells of that clove and white chocolate aroma of Skinny Dip. Its not as complex of a scent as the body conditioner/shower gel. And while I give Skinny Dip buttercream three stars, It’s not the same Lush as the “Skinny Dip” original body conditioning gel, it’s just not the same.

Below is another product; the Skinny Dip body lotion. I liked it more than the buttercream but still not quite like the shower gel.

a

in my picture below is the Skinny Dip bubble bars. They were AWESOME.

There is a Skinny Dip spray perfume too.

Best Washes

See my demo video below. New at lush Oxford street and online at lush.co.uk

Best Washes shower wash card.

Made with the Lush “Snow Fairy” scent.

Made from melon pull, not trees! You just tear off a small piece and wash with it like soap. Not only does it cleanse, but it’s moisturizing too, and your left with the scent of snow fairy your skin. Fairly economical too, a little tiny piece goes a long way.

Candy Floss Showder

A shower scrubbing powder or ‘Showder’ as Lush calls it. It’s a dry shower scrub of calamine powder and sugar.  This one has the Lush Snowfairy or Candyfluff scent. Its made with vanilla but it also has a bright, fruity smell. Very sweet.

The first time I saw this on the shelves at the first Lush superstore at Oxford Street on opening day in 2014. I thought it was the cutest product ever.  I thought it was such a cute design, it looks like a box of laundry soap.  I had to have one.  A kind young woman got it for me and sent it to me here in the U.S.

Even though theyre all empty now, i still display them. 😊

Also, Lush had four other showders.  One not in the picture below was called ‘Dirty Deal’, which was rose colored and turned purple when the water hit it. So. Freakin. Cool.

My favorite showder however was the ‘Washaccino’.  The lemon was great too.   The life’s a Beach was my least favorite, it was the only one of the four that was made with beach sand as the base, too scrathcy, whereas the others have a powdery soft texture. They all lather.   The washaccino is the lather..iest. And It like washing with silk.

Here’s a video i made of using the Candy Floss Showder on my arm at the sink.

Little Dragon reusable bubble bar wand

5 out of 5 rating See my short demo video of this below.

This is made with a Spicy clove and ginger scent. Those of you familiar with Hot Toddy and liked it, would like this.

This wand-type, re-usable bubble bar is an absolutely beautiful orange-red color, with golden shimmer. It leaves the water a red color with golden shimmer in it. The red doesn’t stain the tub in any way. It’s a strong spicy scent. Especially good if you need warming up on a cold night.

Lush description:  Awaken the Dragon – A roaring hot, ginger and cinnamon bubble bath to put a little fire in your belly.

Ingredients: perfume, ginger oil, clove bud oil, cinnamon leaf oil

Here’s my video demo of it 🙂
