Vit C toner tabs

Wow. The scent is lovely. It’s kind of like the lovely scent Eau Roma rose and lavender toner water in scent,  but the scent of “C” has more depth. Aromatherapy-wise Vit C was calming to me, and the same ingredients when on my face made my skin glow and feel clean and it definitely felt more rejuvinated. A lovely fresh rose and sandalwood scent…Mmm. It was absolutely a delight for my skin. A great treat for my face. 4 stars.

Lush 2008 description; The Vitamin C Tab gives you a beneficial steam clean with restorative, skin softening rose and anti-oxidant vitamin C to trounce free radicals. This is the Toner Tab for older faces, the one we designed for ourselves so people keep on saying, “You`re how old! Never!” and making us smile.

Ingredients; Sodium Bicarbonate , Citric Acid , Vitamin C Powder , Sandalwood Oil, Cedarwood Oil , Rose Absolute, Olibanum Resinoid, Organic Strawberry flour, Perfume.

Hot to use: Make a container of hot water, get a towel large enough to drape over your head and face, throw in a toner tab.

Now put your face over the hot water, put the towel over your head and steam your face with the hot toner water.

At his point you can do various things with the water after steaming;

1. set the water aside for later or decant it into a plastic spray bottle.

2. you can use it to splash your face or dip a washcloth in the hot water and use it to clean your face after the steaming.

3. you can use the water to rinse your face off after cleansing at another time.

Babyface

Baby-Face-de-Lush1_zpshwxrvypq

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Fresh Avocado Butter, Tangerine Oil, Narcissus Absolute, Everlasting Flower Absolute, Perfume.

Lush directions on How To Use: “Dampen face with warm water, rub bar between palms, smooth over face, then remove it using warm water on a face cloth, or cotton balls or pads”

Babyface has a really nice smell of orange kind of like a creamsicle, or Lush Ceridwen’s Cauldron.  Babyface  works well to take off makeup. Just swipe on your hands and then rub on your face. I don’t like to wipe the bar on my face but some folks like to rub Babyface directly on the face, either way is fine. Then just  wash off with a warm wash face cloth. Skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized.

Lush 2001 description: The Baby Face bar is another of our solid cleansers which we developed in order to avoid using preservatives on the skin. It melts on the skin so you can softly smooth it all over the places which need cleansing (it’s an excellent make-up remover) then to take it off use warm water on 100% cotton wool or a face cloth and you will be astonished at both how lovely and soft your face feels and how clean the Baby Face gets it. Each smiling bar has four different natural plant butters in it to remove dirt and put back moisture. Its lovely scent comes from toning tangerine oil, narcissus (which we use to make so you beautiful you’ll want to look at your reflection all the time) and everlasting flower (to give you everlasting beauty).

Size: Baby Face – 1.2 oz. $7.95

NOTE: This product may melt and is NOT guaranteed to arrive solid during the summer months!

Buche De Noel

4 out of 5 rating

Buche

This is a facial cleaner scrub, a limited edition for Christmas. Though most people like the “Let the Good Times Roll”, Buche De Noel is much more interesting and is more appropriate for my kind of skin.  It’s more moisturizing then LTGTR.  It is chock full of various goodies; Almonds, oranges, cranberries, brandy, cedarwood.  It has a holiday kind of vibe to it.  It’s a coarser faical cleanser than other Lush facial cleansers like let the good times roll, herbalism and angel’s delight. I liek the chunkiness of it.  It’s perfect for my skin.

Ingredients: Ground Almonds (Prunus dulcis), Kaolin, Glycerine, Fresh Satsumas (Citrus reticulata), Dried Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Brandy, Almond Essential Oil (Prunus dulcis), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Cedarwood Oil (Juniperus virginiana), *Linalool, *Cinnamal, Perfume, Nori Seaweed (Algae), Candy Pine Tree

*Occurs naturally in essential oils

Lush Times: Buche de Noel was around last Christmas, but it went by the name of Santa’s Rice Porridge. It’s back this year with a few tweaks; it’s still fresh and preservative-free, but it’s a fresh cleanser now. We make it like a nutritious pudding with a twist.
