Shoot for the Stars

Lush re-designed Shoot for the Stars bath bomb in 2016. Now it’s a more medium blue color as opposed to the violet blue 2014 version. Also, now they have 3 gold, star shaped solid bath oil pieces in it that detach into the water and makes the bath water blue with gold sparkle in it. It’s gorgeous!

This bath bomb just happens to be in my Top 5 Lush bath bombs of-all-time.

Description: A bewitching bath swirling with colours as magical as the starry night, this bath bomb has the same comforting honey-toffee fragrance as our Honey I Washed the Kids soap. The water becomes sparkly and deep blue-ish purple!  Absolutely wonderful.

Golden Wonder

Gorgeous, glittery blue.  Smells like Buck’s Fizz. 

It has a grapefruit soda smell that Lushies go nuts for.  This is SO popular. Lush introduced this around 2007. Golden Wonder was made to look like a Christmas present. Its got gold shimmer on the outside of it. Inside it has bath bomb discs in different colors that are supposed to represent the things inside the gift. If you shake the bomb gently you csn here them inside.

It’s got alot of ocean blue color in it.  So what happens is when it’s all dissolved the water is ocean blue with gold shimmer in it.  Mermaid Water. BEAUTIFUL.

Lush Times: This bath bomb is like a pass the parcel gift – each layer has something different to offer. This is not for a quick bath because it takes its time, this bath bomb, its wonders to unfold. Jasmine and ylang ylang

Lush has redesigned the Christmas Eve bubble bar four times since 2006z. i’ve loved every design. i love love love this fragrance so much. There’s a candle that lush uk only made as a limited edition exclusive, so i bought two.

2025 Tbis year has the most intricate design, with the main in the moon face added.

I love the scent of this bubble bar, i’ve always loved, for 20 years or so. It’s a nice blend of jasmine and ylang ylang. I always seem to like any product with ylang ylang in it. Jasmine has to be just right kind of jasmine and has to be blended with only certain things for me to like it. But when the jasmine is right in a product , i usually fall head over heels for it, and such is the Christmas Eve bubble bar.

Ingredients:  Perfume,  Irish Moss Powder, Jasmine Absolute Ylang Ylang Oil , Gardenia Extract  Iridescent Glitter 

Lush Times: The design was created by our Newcastle shop manager who wanted a bubble bar to perk her up in preparation for her night down the “toon”. She put a lovely yellow crescent moon on top of a blue sky because in Newcastle when the moon is shining, it’s time to go out! For most people though, the moon means sleepy time. Simon Constantine created a beautifully feminine jasmine and ylang ylang perfume, which is fantastic for calming and relaxing you and inspiring confidønce. On Christmas Eve children find it difficult to sleep while Father Christmas could be flying around in his sleigh delivering presents and they don’t want to miss him. Use one to send them to sleep.

Bombardino

It smells like butterscotch, or a toffee crunch bar. Inspired by the popular Italian ski resort drink, there’s no need to have been on the slopes to enjoy. Just run the bath, drop in and sink into golden lustre-topped waters.

This was SO good.  Every Lushie i know, LOVES the Bombardino.  It’s so scrummy smelling, it makes me want to eat it.  A carmel custard sort of smell.

It’s smaller than regular but it makes up for it with the Scrummy scent and the way it looks like melting ice cream and the gold powder.

 Review: This has become one of Lush’s staple Christmas ballistics . It’s been out almost every Christmas I can remember because it’s so popular. It is a cousin of the ballistic “Bridal Bouquet” which was made to smell like Christmas Party ballistic. Christmas Party smells like an orange fizzy soda to most people. I just don’t like the scent. The ballistic itself is gorgeous. It has different sized foil stars that are pink, purple and orange. It has glittery sparkles of gold and various other colors, and it also has pieces of irridescent paper confetti and a few larger, colorful, paper stars.

Lush Times 2004 description: Our snow white Christmas Party Ballistic is filled with multicoloured stars; it smells like a cocktail of Cointreau and champagne and has a hint of cognac essential oil to help the party go smoothly.  Review: This is a Lush “Fairy Jasmine” ballistic, but in angel form for Christmas. This is a such a pretty stocking stuffer. Turbo Bubble, Alkmaar soap or Silky Underwear are made with the same scent.

Cinders bath bomb

Lush Times: Our brand new Cinders Bath Ballistic is the colour of a glowing ember and it crackles like warming wood fire, like the one that Cinderella slept by in the fairy tale. When Mo made this lovely little Ballistic, she added popping candy so it also makes a sound like burning logs. As you lie in the bath listening to your Ballistic fizzing, you’ll be able to hear little crackles too! It was inspired by a bottle of Glug, the Christmas beverage that Mika from Lush in Sweden brought us, so we scented it with cinnamon and orange smell like a warming, yuletime drink. It started life called Glug, but with its colours and sound, Cinders seemed like the perfect name.

Review:  I Love this!  I love the scent.  It’s subtley orange, smokey, spiced with cinnamon.  The pop rocks inside sound like a crackling fireplace.  This was so popular that Lush UKers asked for a Cinders perfume and Lush sold this as a forum member only perfume.

Review: This is a Haagenbath ballistic, in angel form. It’s wonderful just like Haagenbath is. They make great Christmas stocking stuffers too. I just think they’re cute. I’m a sucker for shaped ballistics. I feel like i get more “bang” for the buck. And the ballistic makes a creamy foamy lather on the surface of the water. Yummy.

Lush Times Xmas 2008: A Santa we can all believ in. Chocolate. Santa. These are two words to cheer up any average day and make it absolutely wonderful. Of all the many Bath Ballistics Mo has invented over the years, the Chocolate Santa has got to be in the top five at the very least. At Lush when we do chocolate, we use real cocoa absolute made from cocoa beans, not some mere chocolate flavouring. Believe us, this makes all the difference. With his blend of sweet vanilla, delectable mimosa and with a dash of skin soothing aloe vera, Chocolate Santa is this Yuletide’s most luxurious of special treats. make sure you buy enough because everyone is going to want to “borrow” one from you.

Review:  This is such a cute ballistic for Christmas.  The points i’m giving this bath bomb is all for looks.  It doesn’t smell like chocolate to me.  While it has an innocuous scent, it’s not particularly yummy.  It doesn’t color the water.  So i’ll give this 3 *** stars, and all of that is for the look of it because it’s so cute.

Butter Bear

This is the original design of Butter Bear from the mid 2000’s. A regular Lush ‘butterball’ bath bomb is on the left, and the original Bear shaped Butterball is on right. A vanilla bean is between them because Butter bear has a Buttery vanilla scent.

I LOVE Butterball bath bomb and i love all the things made in that scent.

Review: Lush Christmas 2014 – Butterbear bath bomb – Butterball, has been transformed into a cuddly bear- just for the holidays!  Such a ceauty.  He has the comforting scent of the Lush classic “Butterball’ bath bomb.  

has more cocoa butter than other bath bombs, which makes him ore moisturizing to my skin.  Scrummy.  I used to have one with a lush floating island bath melt that they used to sell in stores.  Together they make an ultra-creamy, buttery vanilla bath.

Brandy Butter

See my video of Brandy Butter below. Mmm…Yummy. It’s spicy and smells like something Christmasy that you would eat or drink, like a spicy eggnog or something. This one is a great one for combining too. The cinnamony “Christmas Cracker” BBS, “Psychodelic” BBS, go well with it.

From the 2002 Yuletide Lush Times description: Here’s a gorgeous new ballistic which smells of brandy, cinnamon, and tangerines. Wouldn’t you like to find one of these in the toe of your Christmas stocking! It has huge chunks of brandy flavoured cocoa butter (not butter from cows so it’s still vegan) which melt and moisturize your skin with a fragrance which all after dinner tipplers will find irresistible. For an outrageous Christmas bath cocktail throw in a Lush Pud first then add a Brandy Butter on top. Delicious!

Santa’s lip scrub

Heres a picture i took of mine to show the tiny hearts in it. Lush 2014 Description: Prime your pout with this moisturising cola-flavoured lip scrub that leaves your lips buffed and ready for Santa Baby – or any other Lush lip tint or balm. Caster sugar, dates and cherries scrub and soften, giving them a taste of Christmas. Dab a little on and buff, licking off the excess. It’s the sweetest way to welcome festive kisses

Just apply it generously to bottom or top lip, then rub your lips together for a few seconds.

You can lick it off because it is edible.  In addition to the scrub, it has little edible candy hearts mixed in the scrub. It leaves lips  soft and smooth.

Snowcake soap

Lush makes their classic Snowcake soap in a completely different design every year. i’ll add all the different years looks here.

This one made in late 2025 early 2026 was called ‘Showstopper’ and was made with Vanilla, mimosa flower, tonka, benzoin – and Lush says it is snowcake scented. It certainly smells like Snowcake. It smells so yummy.

Here it is in my photo below, you can see the gold better.

This cute Bear is the 2021 version of Snowcake soap. But this year the name is actually different. It’s called “Polar Bear”.

This year Snowcake smells even yummier than it has in past years. Sometimes it has smelled kind of like Playdoh. I don’t know what Lush added to it this year but it smells more like vanilla icing. or marzipan fruit.

Ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Perfume, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Titanium Dioxide, Benzoin Resinoid, Rose Absolute, Cassie Absolute, Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, Benzyl Benzoate.

If you get a good, fresh piece you smell an almond paste and roses scent. It’s delicate but scrummy.  Snow cake soap has particularly creamy lather.  Lush has introduced Snowcake soap every Christmas for many, many years.

Lush Description: Hand and body soap: Smells like the delicious almond icing on your cake: feels like almond mousse on your skin.

A new version of the classic Lush Christmas ‘Snowcake’ soap. Lush has been carrying the tradition of various different versions of their classic Snowcake soap since the early 2000’s.

This year Lush went all out and made a gourmet soap in the Snowcake scent, but with an additional squishy, yummy looking ‘saucey’ topping. It looks like fruit and Oh my goodness I want a whole wheel lol. This is a gourmet soap this year with extra moisturizing properties.

I also am very fond of the dusting powder in this scent called “Snow on Snow’.  It’s delicate, and soft, like sweet fallen snow.  Lush has only made the powder twice.  Lush first made the Snow on Snow powder for forum members only.
