Ladyboy

Oakmoss, violet.

Smells sweet, and floral with violet but having a green moss note. I could swear i smell a light scent of banana too. But maybe thats just me. It smells odd but nice.

This perfume is currently called ‘Fantabulosa’ as Lush changed the name.

In 2020 Lush also made a solid, yellow, reusable bubble bar called Fantabulosa with the same scent.

This was a perfume that the creators of Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics made in the mid 2000s at their ‘B Never Too busy to be beautiful’ boutique in london. I ordered these perfumes at that time. Lush hasn’t made Ladyboy perfume since, except for one location at their 29 High Street store, in 2014, which is where i got my bottle.

Lush also made different bath and body products, like soaps, lip balm, bath oil, etc. in the Ladyboy fragrance. I have pics of a few of those products that i will post here on my blog in the near future.

Lord of Misrule body spray

Snow Fairy body spray

They have a solid form too for U.S.

This is nice. You have to really like all things Snow Fairy to like this body spray. Its smells exactly the same as all the other snow fairy products. Sweet, Pink, Sugary, like Cotton Candy and melon.

And how many Snow Fairy products did we have this Christmas-it was 72 or something.

Really?

Personally i like the Barbie/Lush collab body spray WAAAAY more than the Snow Fairy body spray. Even though alot of people think the two smell the same-i dont think they do. I’d rate Snow Fairy body spray a 3 and a half out of 5. I will say that it is strong for those of you who like when you dont have to keep reapplying a fragrance.

Smell like the fairest of them all with the scent of fresh apples and rose absolute. If you’re feeling grumpy, refreshing bergamot oil and uplifting brazilian orange oil will perk you up and leave you feeling happy instead. You don’t need to wait for prince charming to feel awakened, spritz all over for a burst of orange flower absolute that will have you whistling while you work.

Lord of Misrule perfume and body spray

Both the perfume and the body spray are made with vanilla, patchouli, and black pepper.

It’s harder to describe this scent. I can smell the black pepper and then a yummy creamy vanilla note, like the Lord of Misrule himself, full of discord and disorderly conduct. At once lushious and treacherous.  It’s so so different, and it’s addictive.

Slightly sweet and yummy but with an earthy, peppery side.

Kind of reminds me of how Dr. Pepper is sweet and kind of peppery.

This smells like a tart, green apple. It’s actually made with rose and orange flower surprisingly.

I like the scent more in the bath bomb. The perfume isnt bad its just nit my favorite way of enjoying this scent.

Something Wicked This Way Comes Perfume

Having a real ginger root scent, and not that of Gingerbread.  The ginger is softened by lovely Jasmine and almond oil.  This is a good blend of ginger and jasmine. The oakmoss lending that “spooky’ quality from the story of the same name.  You can smell the layers of scent, pretty floral, earthy oakmoss,  spicy  ginger.

What Would Love Do


This smells similar (not exact) to other Lush things such as Deep Sleep jelly, Unicorn Horn, or ickle baby bot. 

A real life, fairy tale romance that started in a Lush Spa…
When Hal visited the Edinburgh Spa for a Synaesthesia treatment he was introduced to his therapist, Janine, and immediately felt butterflies in his stomach.
As the music started and Janine began his treatment he felt nervous, and his his stomach began to rumble. But, while silently cursing his noisy belly, he was shocked to hear Janine’s stomach respond!
Her tummy groaned and rumbled as if in conversation with his gastric gurglings. The two would later compare it to whale song – their bodies physically communing when they were both too shy to speak.
Following this auspicious meeting, a magical Edinburgh summer flew by with Janine and Hal’s paths crossing many times. Eventually on the second full moon of the month (yes, a legendary blue moon!) they stayed up all night together dancing. Well, after all, what else would love do?

I’m confused about the ingredients label relative to the bath bomb over and over. I’ve asked the Lush Kitchen to enlighten me.  I’ll post if they answer.

I was able to get a sniff of this perfume, and i want to get a bottle.  This perfume has tangerine and lavender. I love that It’s citrus-y without being too sweet, the lavender helps to lend the sweet tangerine a light and airy quality.

There’s a sort of powdery Snowcake-ish note in here as well. I’m not sure what this note is.

Normally citrus perfumes don’t last as long as i would like on my skin, but this seems to stay longer.

Sultana of Fragrance

This is my most recent Sultana perfume. There has been a Lush sultana perfume called ‘Sultana of Soap’, and a Lush sultana perfume called ‘Sultana of Fragrance’, and a Lush perfume called just ‘Sultana’. 😄Here’s a demo and review video i recorded of my Lush UK Forum special Sultana perfume. Sultana is the Lush ‘Blackberry Bomb‘ scent.

Ingredients: DRF Alcohol, Perfume, Olibanum Oil (Boswellia carterii), Bergamot Oil (Citrus Aurantium bergamia), *Citral, *Limonene, *Linalool.

Cardamom and Coffee

I adore cardamom.  I mean i really like it A LOT, so keep that in mind.

Cardamom and coffee has cardamom, which is a fragrant spice, some of you might recognize it’s lovely scent in Chai tea.

At first spray, it has a absolutely mind-blowing yumminess factor to it.
Also, this perfume has a lot of throw.

The rose oil in this is not a primary player here.  It adds a lovely but light floral note.  I don’t smell it and say “I smell rose”.

The coffee isn’t primary either.  Right now anyway the cardamom is the most primary, and i couldn’t be happier about that.

Unfortunately, at 30 minutes the scent diminished quite a lot.  It’s just a remnant of it’s former self.  This is the only reason i give this a 4 out of 5 rating. If the scent stayed as strong as when i first sprayed it, this would surely be a 5 out of 5 rating.

 

 
 

Amelie Mae

This is delightful.  Perfumer Simon Constantine Created this for his daughter Amelie Mae. He asked her what her favorite scents were and then worked his own magic on this fragrance.

This wasnt sold in Lush stores, it was onky available in one store in England where the Lush creators live. And for a limited amount of time it was available to purchase from the Lush UK online retail website.

At first spray, the bright lavender is the primary note i smell.  It’s nice and strongly scented.

At 10 minutes the lavender scent dimnished greatly and now the rose oil scent is present, and to me it resembles the Lush “Rose Jam’ scent slightly, just slightly.  And there is a raspberry note present.  Quite nice.  It’s not a candyish raspberry nor a fake raspberry scent.  It remains bright and even sparkly.  it almost reminds me of raspberry soda.

There was a FUN bar in this scent as well that a lovely women picked up for me and sent it to me in the States. There was also a wash card sold on the Lush Uk retail website.
At 30 minutes the lavender has disappeared completely. However, the rose,  and especially the raspberry are more present than at first spray.  In fact i’d say the fragrance has gotten sweeter, in a good way.  

Now it’s turned into a sticky sweet raspberry rose jam scent on the specific place on my arm that i initially sprayed it.  It’s warmer, thicker rose and raspberry now . less sparkly.  The sparkliness isn’t gone though, it’s just less so as it dries down, turning more into a “yum” kind of scent.  I can get what Simon Constantine’s daughter Amelie Mae is like, sparkly, fresh, sweet, young, and delightful.

I’m glad i was able to acquire one of these on Ebay. The crazy money i spent on it was worth it.

I’m Home

This is one of a 7-10 new perfumes in Lush Gorilla IV series, which will be sold to the public in the very near future.

This perfume was meant to remind one of coming home after a hard day and the way a home smells comforting, kind of like a mub of hot chocolate.  This perfume has vanilla and Cocoa in it.  When first sprayed, i can definitely smell the cocoa, it smells yummy.

On the dry down it gets kind of muddy, but once it dries completely the cocoa note returns.  It smells warm, like coming home to a warm home with someone cooking something yummy.

 

Once it dries completely however the scent dissipates very much.  This perfume in particular goes away quicker than the other Gorilla perfumes. I solved that by just spraying it two or three times on me, or spraying it a few times throughout the day.

In the video i smell it on my arm at wet spray, drying down, and total dry down.

I have around 100+ lush perfumes but these are just the black bottles. I have around 12-15 of these black bottle lush perfumes.

Update: i haven’t gotten back to this page in a long time. I’m making a list of all the lush perfumes on another page. Someday when i have them all listed i can start entering all the perfumes and body sprays that i have on that page, including ALL my black bottle type of perfumes.
