Sugar Plum Fairy scrub

3.5 out of 5 rating

sugarplumfairy-vi

This has a nice floral scent.

Ingredients: Sugar, Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar (Tartaric Acid), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Styrax Resinoid (Liquidambar styraciflua), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum grandiflorum), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Orange Blossom Absolute (Citrus aurantium amara), Plum Kernel Oil (Prunus domestica), Cocamide DEA, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Colour 14700, Colour 45410, Colour 17200

Lush Times: Our newest scrubber was inspired by the Tchaikovsky ballet. When Helen was inventing, she thought that plum kernel oil would work a treat because it moisturises the skin and makes it feel silky smooth and adds an almondy scent to the product.

Lush Pud

3.5 out of 5 rating

lushpud650

Ingredients: £2.25 200g Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Aloe Vera Extract (Aloe barbadensis), Clove Powder (Eugenia caryophyllus), Lemon Peel Powder (Citrus limonum), Cassie Absolute (Acacia farnesiana), Benzoin Resinoid, (Styrax benzoin), Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia), Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Benzoate, Perfume, Candy Holly Leaf.

Review: I got a fresh one once and it changed my mind about the Pud. True, it leaves a brown ring to clean up. True, it makes the water poo brown. Turn off the lights, light a candle and use this. It smells like spice cake. And it lasts. I bathed my twins in this on Christmas and they smelled like two little spice cake sweeties all weekend. This is grand to combine with Christmas Cracker bubble bar, Orange and Spice soap or with a Jack Froth or Marziban bubble bar. It’s like bathing in Christmas desert.

lushpudcloseup

Lush Times description: Looks like a pudding, smells like a pudding, fizzes like a spicy Bath Ballistic. Fill your bath with warm water and drop in the Ballistic for a fizzing, fragrant, relaxing soak.

Notes: The newer ones are much lighter brown. almost tan colored, and they smell more like Snowcake soap then spicy Christmas pudding. I like the original ones way better because it was spicy.

Spice Mountain

4 out of 5 rating

lushspicemountainduck

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Soya Milk (Glycine soja), Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Perfume, Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin), Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), Benzoin Resinoid (Styrax benzoin), Cinnamon Leaf Oil (Cinnamomum cassia), Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Sodium Chloride, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Colour 18050, Colour 61585,

Review: This smells just like the past Christmas soap called “Reddy for Christmas” It’s smells like a combination of red hots (from the cinnamon) and Angel’s Delight(because of something fruity). It’s scent lasts a medium amount of time and it’s also a medium strong soap scent. Love it.

lushspicemountain2

Lush Times 2004 Description: This soap has the colour & scent of mulled wine. Clove bud and cinnamon leaf oils warm and ease stiff muscles on cold mornings; orange oil perks you up and tones your skin. Each Big (40kg!)Soap is decorated with a perfect, Japanese style white mountain to remind you to take this with you if you’re going skiing.

Glögg

5 out of 5 rating

This is a spicy, booz-y fragrance.  It smells like Christmas brandy punch or Norwegian Glogg.  It’s warming, just like a cup of Glogg would be in the wintertime. Glogg is along the same lines but a bit spicier and boozier than the Lush ‘Hot Toddy’ scent.

glogg-vi

Ingredients: Cinnamon Stick and Clove, Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Fresh Organic Orange Juice, Propylene Glycol, Red Wine, Fresh Organic Lemon Juice, Fine Sea Salt, Patchouli Oil, Sweet Orange Oil, Clove Leaf Oil, Lime Oil, Cinnamon Leaf , Benzoin Resinoid, Brandy, *Cinnamal, *Coumarin, *Eugenol, Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume, Colour 14700, Methylparaben

Lush Times: Glögg is a Lush interpretation of a Swedish spin on festive mulled wine. It will make your body feel warmer as you inhale the spicy aroma. A bottle of Glogg is a fairly boozy cocktail to liven up Christmas baths and showers. We poured lashings of red wine and brandy in there to stimulate your body while you lather, with cinnamon and clove infusion for spice and fresh fruit juices to get you squeaky clean.

Star Light, Star Bright

5 out of 5 rating. See my demo video below.

One of only three or four lush products ever, that are all silver.
This has lime and ginger, so it smells bright. And the silver shimmer in the water is awesome.

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Laureth 4, Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Perfume, Chinese Ginger Oil, Lavender Oil, Persian Lime Oil,Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Titanium Dioxide, Colour 42090, Snowflake Lustre, Silver Lustre, *Citral, *Citronellol, Geraniol, *Coumarin, *Limonene,*Linalool

Description: Catch a falling star and put it in your… bath. We have been working for a long time to make this Christmas bath melt – a shimmering bright star for an extra special bath filled with light and lustre. The shea butter fondant centre inside this bath melt is rich and moisturising, creating a soft and creamy bath. When the star melts, its silvery lustre spreads into the water creating a magical trail of starlight. Refreshing ginger and zesty lime oil inspire positivity and will also give you an extra boost. Close your eyes, make a wish, crush this melt under running water and watch as your bath turns into a turquoise, silvery pool of star light.

Here’s a demo video of this

Skullduggery

See my tub demo video of Skullduggery below.

5 out of 5 rating.

This doesnt make any color in the water, however because its so damn cute and because i always buy more than two when lush makes them-i give this a solid 5 out of 5 rating.

Here below are some real sugar skulls made for Dia De Los Muertos.

The Lush Sugar Skulls are fairly big as you can see in my hand.

In my bath below i had three products with the Day of the Dead/Calacas scent

Green Calavas jelly

Yellow Man in the Moon bubble bar

Skullduggety bath bomb

lush made these around 2005 and then again in the Lush Kitchen on a limited edition basis. Back when we could order/buy multiple from the Lush Kitchen i bought four.

in my photo below are Other Lush products made in this same scent.

I love his red heart eyes

Originally Lush made a perfume for Halloween one year called ‘Day of the Dead’. I show it in my photo below. Later the name was changed to ‘Calacas’, which means skulls. Both of these names having to do with Dia De Los Muertos.

Lush Times: Skullduggery is an eerie but magical celebration for your bathtub. We used brightening and refreshing lime and neroli for the fragrance and olibanum (also known as frankincense resinoid) to help that citrusy smell stay on your skin until the witching hour and beyond. Lime oil is a popular ingredient in remedies to combat congested skin, cellulite or simply to wake you up! We use expensive neroli oil as it is one of the few essential oils to be scientifically proven to increase serotonin production in the brain – Arriba! Olibanum resinoid, otherwise known as frankincense, has a woody, slightly fruity aroma and covers the skin with a thin, protective film, softening the skin. It is extremely effective on sore, cracked, de-hydrated skin.

In my photo above i used two bath bombs with the ssme scent: Skulldugery and Monsters Ball

He looks menacing even as hes melting in the water

😄

He has little swirly designs on his head. I tried to show that in the pic below.

Jack invented Calavera Bath Bomb last year for our Day of the Dead celebration; a very zesty number full of vibrant, bright colours to get you celebrating in the bath. He chose uplifting citrus oils for the fragrance, as they can help clear your head after a night of celebrating the dead (with one too many tequilas!)

Decorated skulls (or Calaveras) are iconic in Day of the Dead imagery – so this year, we took the concept of Jack’s Bath Bomb last year and gave it a slightly spookier look. This ballistic is limited edition so get it while you can.

This doesn’t make any colors in the bath, but it is cute.

Here’s a demo and review video i made of Skullduggery in the bath

Here’s a ‘scent Family portrait’ photo i took of all the Lush ‘Calacas scented things, except for the wonderful ‘Enchanter’ which is not in the family portrait. I want Lush to pleeeease make Enchanter again someday.  I love Skullduggery and Enchanter equally.  One has the super cute factor, and one is one of the most colorful lush bath bomb i’ve ever seen. 🙂

Calavera

4 out of 5 ratingSee my demo video below. This bath bomb was made with the Lush ‘Calacas’ scent.

It’s got lime, neroli, and frankincense.  It smells like perfume=y limes. It’s an airy scent. Slightly sweet.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Lime Oil, Olibanum Resinoid, Neroli Oil , Marigold Petals, Sugar,

file-nov-10-10-47-09-pm

Lush Times: When Jack Constantine reinvented the bath ballistic, he came up with this spooky bomb that symbolised the Day of the Dead festival. He used marigold petals to give it an authentic feel and gave it a kick with essential oil pressed from the juicy lime, a Mexican favourite with food and alcohol. Calavera changes colour and looks like a magical, eerie celebration in the water – just like the extraordinary celebrations that happen in Mexico. Stock up while you can, it won’t be around forever.

Haunted House gift set

Lush made this gift set on their lush.co.uk/kitchen website I was fortunate enough to get one as they sold out fast.  Lush made some popular retro lush halloween products, five products, and add these into the gift set.

I hadn’t seen “Pumpkin’ made in years.

Moon on a Stick

5 out of 5 rating

See my demo video below.

This is one lovely bath bomb.  Don’t let it’s gray, craggy exterior fool you, inside is where the Magic happens.

The scent is a strong floral.  Lush made this Moon On a Stick bath bomb with their “Ghost’ or ‘Lily Savon’ scent.  A hauntingly floral scent, not a speck of sweetness, but is has lily infusion.

This bath bombs changes the color of the bath water three times.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid,Cream of Tartar  Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Jasmine Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil , Neroli Oil , Water (Aqua),Lauryl Betaine, Cocamide DEA, Geraniol, Perfume, Silver Glitter, Silver Stars, Silver Edible Lustre

Description: Forum special – Ghost scented three layer ballistic as invented by Rowan

This is a giant yummy Lush Dragon’s Egg bath bomb that Lush made in the mid to late 2000’s

Sleepy body lotion

5 out of 5 rating

See my demo video below

Lush new limited edition ‘Sleepy’ body lotion was made with the popular Lush “Twilight” scent.  Having tonka bean and lavender, it’s a creamy, slightly sweet, herbal scent.

When you open it Its got subtle silver shimmery stuff on the top of the lotion. 😍

file-oct-01-6-55-02-pm

Lush: ‘You’ll sleep in heavenly peace after dipping into this dreamy lotion, made with a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and comfortingly sweet tonka absolute. A rich, malty and floral perfume conjures up visions of sugar plums and hot drinks topped with whipped cream while the heavenly ministrations of creamy Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and delicate lavender water cool and enrich the skin. Blanket your body in this lovely lotion before stepping into soft pyjamas for snuggly winter nights beside the fire.

Its easier to see the silver on the top of the lotion in this photo below.

Here’s my demo and review of this lotion up close
