Sultana of Skin body conditioner

5 out of 5 rating

This Body conditioner was made with the Lush ‘Blackberry Bomb’ fragrance, which is comprised of Cocoa butter, Shea butter, and is fragrance with  Frankincense, fruity bergamot and Sultana. It smells slightly sweet and absolutely gorgeous. The scent in the pot isn’t as strong as when it’s being used on the body. And the best part is that I can sniff my arm an hour later and still smell that lovely scent.

It’s Magic at moisturizing my skin, without leaving a greasy feel.

“Ro headed into the lab in the hope of making a conditioner for the body, and oh boy, did she deliver!” 👌 👏
Here’s what Lush has to say about this. “We’re taking it back to 2012 this #ThrowbackThursday, when Ro’s Argan body conditioner had it’s first starring role in the #LushTimes. 🌟 Body conditioner was quite the innovation and we’ve since expanded our repertoire to include familiar, favourite fragrances – today we’ve got Sultana Of Skin body conditioner on the #LushKitchen menu! 😍 Will you be grabbing a super-sized tub of cocoa butter goodness?”

Two Hearts Beating as One

Here below are some Lush/B Never Two Hearts Beating as One products that I’ve bought from Lush in the past when it was being sold at the Lush Sister company ‘B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful‘ boutique in London.

Note the same ingredients for scent are the same.

geranium, jasmine, ylang ylang, rose, bergamot. It smells more of jasmine to my nose, and jasmine that’s like in the Lush ‘Lust’ perfume/’Flying Fox’ shower gel kind of Jasmine scent. i have a hard time liking this scent. Not my favorite scent from the Lush/B Never Too Busy store.

This is a bath oil/bath melt. I have the perfume, shower gel, and other products in the “Two Hearts beating as One’ scent range.  But this is new. I’ve never seen this! Thus, I need ten!

It comes apart like a puzzle. You can then use one of the two pieces for 2 baths, or you canuse the whole thing in one go.

I’ll be making youtube videos showing these two hearts beating as one scent. products in the next few days, so that i can try to describe the scent of this to you.

Here’s my demo of this gorgeous thing

Be still your beating heart with an opulent bathtime bouquet of calming rose and bergamot. This fantastically floral fizzer is full of uplifting bergamot, rose and violet leaf absolute, and its subtle sweetness is sure to melt your heart as it melts into your bathwater.

 All of these Lush products below are in the same scent family;

Le Grande Amour

It’s a giant ‘Tisty Tosty’ bath bomb

5 out of 5 rating

Fast fizzer

This one is from 2008

legrandamour-vi

This one is from 2017

Smells like a powdery rose scent, and this bath bomb has real pink rosebuds in it.

Lush Times: A seriously large love spell ballistic. In 1995 the Tisty Tosty appeared for Valentine’s Day, but not in the Lush Times, in that other esteemed publication, The Guardian. In 2008, Mo decided that it was time to celebrate our thirteen year relationship by turning it into a Big Love, Le Grand Amour, by making a really large one. It’s every bit as beautiful as the Tisty Tosty with the love spell, the scent and the rosebuds – and it’s massive!

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Seven Rosebuds (Rosa centifolia), Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena), Orris Root Powder (Iris florentina), *Limonene, Perfume

Your Mother Should Know

5 out of 5 rating

See my demo video below 🙂

Made in the ‘Frozen’ bath bomb scent, which has grapefruit, rose, orange flower and Neroli scent.

These bubbles are a big peel

Frazzled mamas should look to this bright bubble bar for a zesty pick-me-up. Bursting with fresh grapefruit oil, grounding rosewood and floral neroli, the bath is the perfect place to find a minutes’ peace.

*Best enjoyed with a freshly brewed cuppa – made by someone else, of course.

You’ll love this if you like:

– Cheerful neroli and citrus.

– Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner, Love And Light hand cream, or Orange Blossom perfume. – Shutting yourself in the bathroom away from the kids.

Benefits:

– Intensely green and floral, neroli oil is thought to reduce stress and anxiety. – Grapefruit oil is naturally astringent, helping to clear and tone your skin.

– Packed full of feel-good fragrance, you’ll leave the bathroom beaming.

How to use: Your mother should know how to use a bubble bar, but if she doesn’t, here’s how. Crumble half of this supersized citrus sud-maker under the running tap and watch as juicy bubbles pile up in your bath.

How to store: For the best bubbles, keep this bar somewhere cool and dry in between uses.

Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar (Potassium bitartrate), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Cornflour (Zea mays), Perfume, Grapefruit Oil (Citrus paradisi), Neroli Oil (Citrus aurantium amara), Rose Oil (Rosa damascena), Orange Flower Absolute (Citrus aurantium amara), Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora), Butylphenyl Methylpropional, *Citral, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 47005:1, Colour 42090, Colour 45410:1

Lush made a Frozen body lotion with the same scent years later for the January 2025 monthly lush subscription box.

Golden Slumbers

5 out of 5 rating

See my demo and review video of this golden, glittery bath bomb in the tub WOW.

Golden Slumbers was made to promote sleep with it’s lavender forward fragrance.  Golden Slumbers doesn’t have a sweet and creamy edge to it as lush ‘Twilight’ lavender scent.  Golden Slumbers has a more herbal lavender scent.  Very bright and clean smelling.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric acid, Lavender Sprigs, Lavender Oil, Chamomile oil, Lavender absolute, Neroli oil, Ginger, Jasmine, Perfume, Linaloo, golden lustre sparkle.

file-jan-14-10-53-41-am

I kind of like the original golden slumbers, because it had actual gold covering it, whereas on the newly designed Golden Slumbers it doesn’t have painted gold on the top, instead it has tiny gold glitters mixed in the bath bomb mixture.

file-jan-14-10-59-25-am

Golden Slumbers is also chock full of everything lavender, and then the addition of the chamomile is wonderful, it lightens the whole thing up and gives the lavender a sparkly quality. The Golden Slumbers part comes from the ballistic’s ingredients’ ability to help you get to sleep with the combination of lavender and chamomile proportedly being great sleep aids. I like the sprigs of lavender, andthere are not too many. My new lavender combo would be this Golden Slumbers forum member inspired ballistic and the “Schnuggle” shower bar with it’s Cocoa Butter, Corn Starch, Lavender Oil, Ginger Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Chamomile Oil, Jasmine Absolute they combine beautifully for a lovely, smelling good night’s sleep.file-jan-14-10-53-24-am

The Dream Time bath melt is the same scent made with the same scent ingredients.

Lush Times 2006 description: The Golden Slumbers bath bomb is Lush’s magic sleep potion with calming, soothing lavender essential oil.

Here’s a demo video i made showing all the gold.

Lush Bath Oils-New (in 2014)

See my bath oil video demo list of 20 new Lush bath oils. I’ve done video demos of all 19. The links to each of those tub demo videos are in the below list.

A fabulous way to get a good amount of our favorite fragrances in a small package.  It’s small but it makes a gorgeous show in the tub.  Adding color and in some cases shimmer.  The fragrances are stronger and last longer on the skin than in other things like bath bombs and bubble baths.

I have all of them, so as i use each one i’ll make videos and take photos that you can watch via the links below.

Bling Crosby

4 out of 5 rating

lushblingcrosby2008b

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Cocamide DEA, FD&C Red No. 4, Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin), Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Lavendin Oil (Lavendula hybrida), Pine Oil (Pinus), Lemongrass Oil (Cymbopogan flexuosus), Elemi Oil (Canarium commune), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Glitter

This is a beautiful bubble bar with it’s orangey-gold glitter.  It has the scent of Lush’s “Karma” fragrance which is orangey, not sweet at all, earthy with patchouli, and a bit of pine. A unisex scent. It leaves a pale orange colored water and TONS of bubbles. There is also glitter in the water. The glitter doesn’t stick on you like the Karma melt but mostly gets washed down the drain if you use a squirt of shower gel in the water. Bling Crosby is so pretty and festive.

LT 2006 Description: An easy glistening, soothing orange spice Bubble Bar for a smoother Christmas. Crumble under running bath water for mounds of fragrant bubbles

Christmas Cracker

3.5 out of 5 rating

Ingredients: Sodium bicarbonate, cream of tartar, sodium laureth sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, perfume, cocamide dea, orange oil, cinnamon leaf oil, chlorophyllin, color, candy holly leaf.

lushchristmascracker2004watermark

This is a half red/half green colored Christmas bubble bar with orange oil and cinnamon leaf oil.  If you use just the red part the water turns pink and if you use the green part the water turns green. There’s a tiny candy holly leaf in the middle (it might be edible, but it tastes like soap because it’s embedded in the bar.  Using the whole thing makes the water a kind of a dark red/brown color.

Lush Times 2004 Description: Wake yourself up with a bang! Wake yourself up on a cold and frosty morning (or a dull, dark, damp one) with a cracking Christmas bubble bath. It’s out classic cinnamon and orange, crowing rooster alarm clock scent to ping your eyelids open and jump start your brain. Crumble the seasonally red and green bar under your running bath water as you sip your spiced coffee. Get in, enjoy the reviving warmth and don’t forget to read the corny motto which we’ve stuck inside it, just like a real cracker.

Lush Pud

3.5 out of 5 rating

lushpud650

Ingredients: £2.25 200g Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Aloe Vera Extract (Aloe barbadensis), Clove Powder (Eugenia caryophyllus), Lemon Peel Powder (Citrus limonum), Cassie Absolute (Acacia farnesiana), Benzoin Resinoid, (Styrax benzoin), Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia), Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Benzoate, Perfume, Candy Holly Leaf.

Review: I got a fresh one once and it changed my mind about the Pud. True, it leaves a brown ring to clean up. True, it makes the water poo brown. Turn off the lights, light a candle and use this. It smells like spice cake. And it lasts. I bathed my twins in this on Christmas and they smelled like two little spice cake sweeties all weekend. This is grand to combine with Christmas Cracker bubble bar, Orange and Spice soap or with a Jack Froth or Marziban bubble bar. It’s like bathing in Christmas desert.

lushpudcloseup

Lush Times description: Looks like a pudding, smells like a pudding, fizzes like a spicy Bath Ballistic. Fill your bath with warm water and drop in the Ballistic for a fizzing, fragrant, relaxing soak.

Notes: The newer ones are much lighter brown. almost tan colored, and they smell more like Snowcake soap then spicy Christmas pudding. I like the original ones way better because it was spicy.

Star Light, Star Bright

5 out of 5 rating. See my demo video below.

One of only three or four lush products ever, that are all silver.
This has lime and ginger, so it smells bright. And the silver shimmer in the water is awesome.

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Laureth 4, Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Perfume, Chinese Ginger Oil, Lavender Oil, Persian Lime Oil,Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Titanium Dioxide, Colour 42090, Snowflake Lustre, Silver Lustre, *Citral, *Citronellol, Geraniol, *Coumarin, *Limonene,*Linalool

Description: Catch a falling star and put it in your… bath. We have been working for a long time to make this Christmas bath melt – a shimmering bright star for an extra special bath filled with light and lustre. The shea butter fondant centre inside this bath melt is rich and moisturising, creating a soft and creamy bath. When the star melts, its silvery lustre spreads into the water creating a magical trail of starlight. Refreshing ginger and zesty lime oil inspire positivity and will also give you an extra boost. Close your eyes, make a wish, crush this melt under running water and watch as your bath turns into a turquoise, silvery pool of star light.

Road From Damascus bath oil

4 out of 5 rating. see my demo video

Lush Description; “With Damascus rose and bitter orange you’ll be whisked away momentarily from this ever changing world.”

Geranium flower, rose, orange flower and violet flower makes the fragrance.  It smells floral but fresh. Lovely smelling in my opinion.

rosed

this has a lovely, fresh floral fragrance of rose, violet and orange flower.

It was made in the new, upcoming perfume fragrance of the same name.

I’m glad I was able to get a few

Here’s my demo video of this bath oil

The Lush Creative Showcase and Oxford Street bubble bar called ‘Magic Coloured’ bubbles (sometimes listed as just ‘Magic Bubbles’) was made in the Road From Damascus scent.

Skullduggery

See my tub demo video of Skullduggery below.

5 out of 5 rating.

This doesnt make any color in the water, however because its so damn cute and because i always buy more than two when lush makes them-i give this a solid 5 out of 5 rating.

Here below are some real sugar skulls made for Dia De Los Muertos.

The Lush Sugar Skulls are fairly big as you can see in my hand.

In my bath below i had three products with the Day of the Dead/Calacas scent

Green Calavas jelly

Yellow Man in the Moon bubble bar

Skullduggety bath bomb

lush made these around 2005 and then again in the Lush Kitchen on a limited edition basis. Back when we could order/buy multiple from the Lush Kitchen i bought four.

in my photo below are Other Lush products made in this same scent.

I love his red heart eyes

Originally Lush made a perfume for Halloween one year called ‘Day of the Dead’. I show it in my photo below. Later the name was changed to ‘Calacas’, which means skulls. Both of these names having to do with Dia De Los Muertos.

Lush Times: Skullduggery is an eerie but magical celebration for your bathtub. We used brightening and refreshing lime and neroli for the fragrance and olibanum (also known as frankincense resinoid) to help that citrusy smell stay on your skin until the witching hour and beyond. Lime oil is a popular ingredient in remedies to combat congested skin, cellulite or simply to wake you up! We use expensive neroli oil as it is one of the few essential oils to be scientifically proven to increase serotonin production in the brain – Arriba! Olibanum resinoid, otherwise known as frankincense, has a woody, slightly fruity aroma and covers the skin with a thin, protective film, softening the skin. It is extremely effective on sore, cracked, de-hydrated skin.

In my photo above i used two bath bombs with the ssme scent: Skulldugery and Monsters Ball

He looks menacing even as hes melting in the water

😄

He has little swirly designs on his head. I tried to show that in the pic below.

Jack invented Calavera Bath Bomb last year for our Day of the Dead celebration; a very zesty number full of vibrant, bright colours to get you celebrating in the bath. He chose uplifting citrus oils for the fragrance, as they can help clear your head after a night of celebrating the dead (with one too many tequilas!)

Decorated skulls (or Calaveras) are iconic in Day of the Dead imagery – so this year, we took the concept of Jack’s Bath Bomb last year and gave it a slightly spookier look. This ballistic is limited edition so get it while you can.

This doesn’t make any colors in the bath, but it is cute.

Here’s a demo and review video i made of Skullduggery in the bath

Here’s a ‘scent Family portrait’ photo i took of all the Lush ‘Calacas scented things, except for the wonderful ‘Enchanter’ which is not in the family portrait. I want Lush to pleeeease make Enchanter again someday.  I love Skullduggery and Enchanter equally.  One has the super cute factor, and one is one of the most colorful lush bath bomb i’ve ever seen. 🙂

World Piece

Some trivia: lush used to call this World ‘Piece’ then they changed the name a few years later to World ‘Peace’.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Pine Oil (Pinus), Sweetie Oil (Citrus grandis), Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita), Cypress Oil (Cupressus sempervirens), Perfume, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Colour 42045.

Minty mint! Sweet mint. Very refreshing on a hot day. And the water turns a gorgeous deep turquoise blue.

Lush times 2003 Description: Perhaps most of us wonder if there’s anything we can do to help bring about world peace. If we’re not world leaders or diplomats or international peace keepers then a good way to start would be to be pleasant to everyone we meet, well behaved on the roads, polite and considerate to our friends and families and kind to complete strangers. Scale it up a bit and we’re there! ‘What’s that got to do with a Bath Ballistic?’ you may ask. It’s like this. The World Piece is made with pine oil from Russia for courage and constancy and peppermint, symbol of friendship and love, from the USA. We have sweetie oil, from an Israeli grapefruit bred to remove sourness, mixed with a secret perfume from the edges of the Arabian Sahara Kenyan cypress oil is said to soothe anger and calm down irritable people who won’t stop talking and start listening. Use them yourselves and send them to people who have a direct influence on ending conflicts. (Just be careful not to label the package ‘Bath Product’ not ‘ballistic’ or ‘bomb’ because that wouldn’t help.

Here’s a demo and review video i made of this bath bomb in the bath

May Day

4 out of 5 rating. I absolutely love that liquorice-like scent. See my tub video demo below

Take a night-time walk on the wild side, and breathe in the fresh air. Lemon oil puts a spring in your step, making you walk a little taller. As you soak up the countryside, lemongrass tones and fennel oil cleanses. Sett free in the bath, and release a secret message from the badgers, asking you to join forces in the fight for freedom. Things aren’t always black and white, but this is.
