Lady Catrina

 5 out of 5 rating

This is SUCH a pretty soap. Especially the giant piece that they cut the rectangular pieces from. The big slab looks like a Giant Hat with flowers which is what Lady Calavera Catrina looks like. Known for her big hat. 🙂

It’s referencing the Mexican ‘Day of the Dead’ (Dia De Los Muertos).

It’s in that same wonderful Calacas scent. Calacas was made to be like the Mexican punch. it’s got lime, neroli and frankincense.

I love this!

Made with the Calacas scent.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Rapeseed Oil; Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Cocos nucifera), Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Organic Agave Nectar (Agave tequilana), Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), Olibanum Resinoid (Boswellia carterii), Neroli Oil (Citrus Aurantium amara), Sodium Chloride, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Hydroxide, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, *Citral, *Limonene, *Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Colour 17200, Colour 42090, Colour 45410, Colour 45350

Lush Times: Shaped like a fruity hat and decorated with flowers, there’s a hauntingly beautiful quality to our purple soap, the Lady Catrina. But the zesty fragrance of fruit pastilles and freshly cut limes will revive even Kirkman’s Walking Dead when you wash your hands and body.

The Experimenter

4 out of 5 rating

It’s absolutely beautiful. I’m not a fan of a lot of vetivert. That’s the only reason i didn’t rate it a 5.

Earthy scent, Smoky. Many colors in the tub! 3.75 gbp / $5.68

Tonka, and Vetivert which blend together when put in the bath, creating a smoky scent.
I smell sandalwood, but i’m not positive there’s any in here.  There’s a smokey note in here.    I like it, because it’s unexpected.  And Dusky Purple-Grey water. With silver sparkles.  Why not? 😊

Also at this video link below see my video of The original Experimenter in the tub, what a show this thing puts on.

Unfortunately i accidentally deleted the video 🙁

I was so sad that i deleted my original youtube video of this bath bomb, it was very popular but more importantly it showed the dark grey sparkly water, which was unexpected considering how colorful it is on the outside. Some people didn’t like the gray water. I thought it looked really cool!

I’m curious to see if the new one smells the same as the original. It smelled VERY smokey, with an undertone of vanilla.

Here’s a giant one (below) that they had on display in 2014 on opening day at their first Lush Oxford Street’ superstore Creative Showcase.

This bath bomb makes great bath art with almost every color of the rainbow represented!

Here’s the video i made of the newer one with regular green water. Lush makes many bath products which make enerald grern water

Demon in the Dark soap

LushDemonIDD

Ingredients: Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerine, Mint Infusion (Mentha piperita), Apple Juice, Sodium Stearate, Mint (Mentha piperita), Spearmint Oil (Mentha viridis), Clove Bud Oil (Eugenia caryophyllus), Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita), Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, *Eugenol, *Limonene, Perfume, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Colour 42045.* Occurs naturally in essential oils

LT 2006 Description: Demon in the Dark is made with fresh, organic apple juice and an infusion of mint. This makes it stimulating for the skin and for your nose; just wait until you smell this one! Give it a big sniff and the dark green Demon gets straight up your nose and gives your head a blast of fresh, minty scent. It’s a devil of a good cleanser, with warming clove bud oil, revitalising peppermint and astringent apple. Wash your hair with Washday Greens, put on a Mask of Magnaminty and scrub up with Demon in the Dark for the Full Minty.

Review: At first this is fabulous. It’s minty but not sweet minty and it’s refreshing. But then it starts to turn a little off color (kind of like avocados turn brownish around the edge?) Still I think everyone should try this at least once. Also, it’s a good soap for guys because of it’s gender neutral minty scent. There is a black covering or “rind” that mush be peeled off. Lushies suggest that you put the bar in the freezer and it will be easier to peel if off. It’s a nice spearmint soap.

‘Fun with a Twist’ family

lushfunwithatwistfamily copyLush Limited “Fun bar with a Twist” is half Dragon’s Egg bath bomb scent, and half Twilight bath bomb scent.  The purple side is lavender and sweet tonka, and the orange side is orange oil and grapefruit. Gorgeous scent combination!  Three times this has been made and sold only for one day in the online “Lush Kitchen”.

We are selling a soap and giving the profit away – we’ve made enough Love Soap to raise £250,000, if all the bars are sold! The money will be put into a fund to help LGBT organizations fighting for rights, equality and acceptance around the world. We want to attract applications from groups working in areas where anti-LGBT laws are harsh and extreme and where funding is in short supply.

Gay_is_ok_webThe Lush Kitchen will be making this soap once again Jan 24 2017.

The fragrance is a fruity floral scent. It has a sweet scent, initially smelling a bit like cinnamon and lemon. However there’s an apple-y note here as well. This fruity combo is combined with the heady florals of Rose and Jasmine. It’s very fragrant.
This is what the original 2005 Lush/B Never Love soap looked like.

Here is the Christmas 2007 version

Honey Bunch

LushHoneyBunch (1)

Honey Bunch was a heart shaped box gift that Lush made as an exclusive one year around 2003,4, or 5 i cant remember.

It has the scent of Honey I Washed the Kids. A nice toffee like scent.

All four different Lush Heart shaped boxes had different products tucked in the midde where it was hollowed out a bit.

Honey Bunch had a ‘Ma Bar’ bubble bar, a massage bar that i cant remember the name of right now, and a honey i washed the kids soap.

Other Heart shaped box gifts are ‘J Te’ aime, Kiss Chase, and My favorite heart shaped box the ‘Pink Caroline’ heart shaped bath bomb box. Ill have to add that to my blog here. I STILL have one from 2004 in perfect condition. Yes! Would you like me to take a short vid of it?

Years before these four were sold, Lush made an Icon bath bomb heart, a Flower Market heart bomb, and a Karma heart.

even the Easter giant AvoEgg. These were my favorite Lush gifts.

I bought all of the above except the Honey Bunch, and the Karma one.

I love all the Lily Savon family of products, Ghost shower gel, Lily perfume and this ballistic. I use all of these alot lately.

The Enchanter

4 out of 5 rating

Calacas scent

This bath bomb was made in the “Calacas” fragrance. having the same neroli, frankincense (olibanum), lime. It smells perfumey, resinous, a tad sweet, and citrussy with lime.

It’s name refers to the Mexican ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ holiday. We drink a fruit punch that Lush tried to reproduce in scent when they made the Calacas fragrance.

The ones made earlier had a super bright red/pink color and yellow. the more current Enchanters are more light orange and light yellow.

A 5 star bath bomb. It can stain the tub so i add a squeeze of shower gel to the bath when i’m filling it up, which breaks the surface tension which keeps the color from forming a ring around the tub. I learned that from Lush many years ago. The newer ones aren’t as saturated with colored foam as the original Enchanter bombs but it’s still pretty and smells great. 4 out of 5 rating.

Below is a video demo and review i made of the enchanter.

Below is My Calacas scent family photo. Lush has released a body spray and a lotion a couple of years after this photo was taken. 😊 For a total of 14-15 Lush Calacas scented products of different types.

Pumkin

lushpumkinad

This mischievous little character has gotten into the Halloween candy early with a candy leaf and a licorice top, so be careful he doesn’t sneak into your candy stash when you’re not looking! Crumble into the tub to lavish yourself in mounds of cozy bubbles and soft, beautiful orange waters on a cool autumn night. The delicately-blended sweet and earthy aroma of orange flower absolute and ylang ylang oil softly perfumes the skin and leaves it feeling clean and fresh. Dairy free: Pumkin’s eyes may look like chocolate, but they’re dairy-free.

Ghost jelly

5 out of 5 ratingLush Times Xmas 2008: Helen Ambrosen’s new favourite thing is to make Shower Jellies in individual moulds, as well as huge wobbly ones. Like our big blocks of Shower Jellies, you can put the individual ones in the fridge or the freezer to give yourself a shock in the shower. Lovely and cooling for hot days, and cheaper than a plunge pool. Ghost unfolds into a shape-shifting ethereal blob, looking a but like Munich’s painting, The Scream. Despite his slightly scary appearance, he softens and calms your skin as he gets you clean. You can either slap him all over your body to make a lather, or detach a little chunk of him and rub it fast and firmly between your hands for a creamy froth. You can use him to wash your hair because his seaweed gel is really good for turning tangles into luscious locks. Wash all over and just like Mr. Ghostie, you’ll be wafting scents of lilies, jasmine and ylang around after you all day. Grab him now before he drifts away…

GhostJellywiki

Ingredients: Glycerine, Fresh Dove Orchid, Perfume, Carrageenan Extract, Jasmine Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil, Neroli

Ghost is a floral fragrance made with dove orchid, lilies, and other flowers. The fragrance stays on the skin awhile which is good.

The jelly is so cute in the shape of a ghost. You have to turn ithe whole jelly over when you take it out to see it.

Ghost shower gel

3.5 out of 5 rating

See my demo video below

Review: Ghost shower gel was made to have the “Lily Savon” soap’s scent. It’s a medium strong Lily, jasmine, ylang ylang and neroli scent. It’s not sweet, at all. It’s got a white, tiny, glittery shimmer to it.

This is one of the more beautiful Lush florals even though it’s not as complex as some other Lush floral scents. It smells exactly like Lily Savon soap, and the lily perfume. The scent of the shower gel lasts a long time on the skin.

The new Ghost shower gel bottles that the Lush Kitchen makes will have a black label with white lettering, unlike my original bottle in the picture from 2006, which is the opposite.

lushghostsgwiki

Here’s what it looks like above, i show this much clearer in the video below

It’s a thick shower gel. I give this 3 stars.

Lily Savon liquid spray perfume

Lucky Cat bubble bar

Moon on a Stick bath bomb

Here’s a video demo i made of this shower gel

heres a scent family photo of mine

It’s a thick shower gel with some white shimmer. I give this 3.5 stars. To answer a couple of questions i got, Just for comparison sake It’s not as sweet as Lush’ other Lily perfume called “Death and Decay”.

Ghost fragrance does remind one of a memory of something that was once here, then gone in a whisp.

recently in 2025 Lush has made another Lily soap with the same Lily Savon/Ghost scent but in the actual shape of a Lily!

Monsters and Aliens

Green, red and purple.  5.oo gpb / $7.70

Made with the popular Lush “Lord of Misrule” scent; vanilla, black pepper and patchouli.

This fun bar was made to smell like the Lush ‘Lord of Misrule’ bath bomb. Lush has also made a Lord of Misrule shower cream, another Fun multi-purpose bar called Mind the Gap-Lord of Misrule fun bar, a square “Rough With the Smooth” cocoa butter body scrub, and a Lord of Misrule perfume.

Here’s a collaboration video i made showing the various ways to use the fun bar.

Golden Wonder

5 out of 5 rating!  When you watch my short tub demo video of Golden Wonder, you will love the water looks like at the end! 🙂

Gorgeous, glittery blue.  Smells like Buck’s Fizz.

It has a grapefruit soda smell that Lushies go nuts for.  This is SO popular. Lush introduced this around 2007. Golden Wonder was made to look like a Christmas present. Its got gold shimmer on the outside of it. Inside it has bath bomb discs in different colors that are supposed to represent the things inside the gift. If you shake the bomb gently you csn here them inside.

It’s got alot of ocean blue color in it.  So what happens is when it’s all dissolved the water is ocean blue with gold shimmer in it.  Mermaid Water. BEAUTIFUL.

Lush has made many products in this scent family.

Celebrate lotion

Bubbly shower gel

Champagne Snow Showers shower gel

Lush Times: This bath bomb is like a pass the parcel gift – each layer has something different to offer. This is not for a quick bath because it takes its time, this bath bomb, its wonders to unfold. First take some time to shake it, listen to the little rattle from within and try to imagine what’s in there. Then drop it in your water and gaze in wonderment as gold turns to yellow, turns to blue and spits out soluble stars along the way.

This isn’t a bath – this is an event !

We loved this bath bomb so much, we decided to put one of our most popular perfumes in it, so that lots of people will enjoy bathing in it. Long standing customers will recognise the smell of Champagne Snow Showers. Newer customers might like to know that the smell is of a light fizzing champagne cocktail, and contains sweet orange oil, cognac oil and lime oil.

So wonder no longer – put one of these in your basket and try it for yourself This ballistic contains edible gold lustre and soluble paper stars – so there’ll be no sparkly bits left to clean out of your bath afterwards.

Calacas shower gel (currently called ‘Zesty’)

5 out of 5

See my demo and review video of Calacas shower gel and other lush products with this same “Calacas’ scent below.

Lush changed the name to Zesty a couple og years ago…for some reason. 🤷🏻‍♀️

There are four colors of Calacas shower gel; green, yellow, orange, and one that is more iridescent and has both green and yellow.

Calacas shower gel was first made in a green color in 2011.  It has the “Day of the Dead” lush fragrance.  Lime oil, neroli oil.  It smell slike a light, fragrant perfume.  It’s citrussy but with Frankincense which is resinous and is sometimes in incense and is wonderful.

Like Lime pastille candies but not as sweet.  It’s beautiful.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Aloe Vera Gel(Aloe barbadensis), Sodium LaurethSulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, LaurylBetaine, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), Olibanum Oil (Boswelliacarterii), Neroli Oil (Citrus Aurantiumamara), Lactic Acid, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 42090, Colour 45350, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

Calacas means Skull of Skeleton in Spanish. And we have a Mexican holiday called ‘Dia de Los Muertos’ which means ‘Day of the Dead’. On that day we remember our relatives who have passed on.

Here’s a picture i took of all the Lush products that have been made in the same fragrance.

Heres the Lady Catrina soap in the store with a big slice cut off of it. 😊

Here’s my scent family portrait that i made in 2007. Since then there have been many other products made by Lush in the Calacas scent. Someday ill add the new ones to a list here.
