Bridal Bouquet

(Champagne Snow Showers fragrance, sparkly orange/lime, and paper hearts)

180g/6.3oz

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Sweet Orange Oil (Citrus Dulcis), Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), Cognac Oil, Paper Confetti.

Lush Times 2003 description: We like to celebrate. We do it at every possible opportunity. In fact, every morning is a micro celebration of sorts when we award ourselves a Ballistic for having managed to get out of bed in one piece. Mo’s beautiful new Bridal Bouquet Ballistic celebrates weddings. It has one of our best celebratory scents too: throw it in the bath and it will waft the fragrance of Buck’s fizz with a dash of cognac, which will put you in a part mood even if you weren’t so sure before you started. The Bridal Bouquet is made to celebrate weddings*. It could be an engagement, a hen party, the big day itself or fifty years later. Bathe in the scent of celebration and make bathing more of an occasion. (*Incidentally, we are a very inclusive organisation and we would not dream of stopping teh resolutely single, separated, divorced or widowed or not-the-slightest-bit-interested members of the public from enjoying the Bridal Bouquet should they wish.)

Review: Smells like fizzy orange soda. It’s not an elegant and rounded orange like “Happy for Sad” or “but sparkly, festive and bright. I think this one went really well with the citrussy orange Brightside bubble bar or “Happy” bubble bar. Later Lush used this scent and made the “Christmas Party” bath bomb, Golden Wonder bath bomb, Celebrate lotion, jelly, and perfume.
Wonder.

Bon Bain Bonnard

The one i bought from the Nov subscription box in 2025

The one i bought in 2004

Review: A very pretty ballistic, it’s white with pastel pink, blue and yellow soap confetti and yellow, pink, blue salt crystals in the outter middle of it. It’s powdery and floral and slightly perfumey. The smell is similar to “Sakura” ballistic but with a strange undertone to my nose that keeps this from being stellar to me. Bon Bain Bonnard was fairly popular. The other three “Artist” ballistics that Lush has made are “Monet’s Garden” and “Kiss Me Klimt” and “Still Life“.

Ingredients: Bicarb, Citric Acid, Coarse Atlantic Sea Salt, Rose Oil, Perfume, Orange Oil, Crocin, Colorform Turquoise, Colorform Crimson.

Lush Times 2002 description: This is the Artistic Bath Bomb, named after Bonnard, influenced by his paintings of the nudes in the bath and inspired by his work ‘White Interior’. Arguably one of the best smelling bath bombs. The sea salt will make your body feel new, and the orange blossoms will do the same for your mind. A bomb for everyone in search of inspiration.

Bombardino

5 out of 5 rating. See the tub demo video below

It smells like butterscotch, or a toffee crunch bar. Inspired by the popular Italian ski resort drink, there’s no need to have been on the slopes to enjoy. Just run the bath, drop in and sink into golden lustre-topped waters.

This was SO good.  Every Lushie i know, LOVES the Bombardino.  It’s so scrummy smelling, it makes me want to eat it.  A carmel custard sort of smell.

It’s smaller than regular but it makes up for it with the Scrummy scent and the way it looks like melting ice cream and the gold powder.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cocoa Butter, Soya Milk Powder, Perfume, Radiant Gold Lustre, Bergamot Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute, Cornflour, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract, *Limonene, *Linalool,Colour 19140:1, Colour 19140, Snowflake Lustre, Dairy Free Chocolate Drops

Lush Description: Sit back and relax in a bath of creamy Alpine indulgence. With skin-softening cocoa butter and uplifting Sicilian lemon oil. This little fellow takes his inspiration from an apres ski drink traditionally made in the Italian Alps with eggnog, brandy and whipped cream. Our version of the Bombardino is just as rich and creamy, smelling like a lemon meringue pie. With added cocoa butter to soften your bath water, Bombardino will leave your skin feeling silky and soothed.

The glitter 😍

Here’s a YouTube video that i made of it in the tub.

Review: Do you know how long it’s been since Lush has made something that I absolutely love as much as my favorite discontinued items? It smells similar to my Lush love…Psychodelic bubble bar. Unfortunately I was the only one who thought so, this ballistic went bye bye as quick as it got here. *sigh* It’s orangey and spicey. It’s spicey too but not overwhelmingly so, not like in Skinny Dip. It smells like cardomom, cinnamon, clove.  It even has what looks like a gum drop in the middle of the outside (Bindi) that is edible.

Ingredients: 200g £2.10

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Creamed Coconut Powder (Cocos nucifera), Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Ginger Oil (Zingiber officinalis), Black Pepper Oil (Piper nigrum), Perfume, Paprika Oleoresin (Capsicum frutescens), Kaffir Lime Leaf, Jelly.

Lush Times 2006 description: Our spicy new Ballistic is hot in more ways than one. Its soft orange colour is spiced up with a jelly jewel ‘bindi’ which it wears on its forehead – or where we like to image a Ballistics forehead would be. Its orange scent is spiced up with ginger and black pepper essential oils. Orange revives you when you’re feeling bored and tired; ginger warms you up and gives you a feeling of well-being. Black pepper, The Black Gold of India, The King of Spices, was widely prized throughout the ancient world; as an essential oil it is said to be energising, to help tone your muscles, reduce muscle stiffness and aches, detoxify and get rid of eccess fat – rather like an evening of dancing to bhangra.

Black Pearl bath bomb

4 out of 5 rating.

Its a smaller bomb, like butterball. If it was regularsize id give it a 5 out of 5

I cant remember if this was a year round, regular store item, but i dont think it was. I think it was a limited edition.

This scent is not a citrus nor candy scent. I usually describe the scent as a chamomile tea, with frozen black currants in place of ice cubes, and a sprig of fresh lavender, with a vague scent of earthy, resinous Myrrh.

Lavender, Chamomile, Currant, Frankincense and Myrrh, Black Sugar, silver glitter.

See my tub demo video of it below

95g £2.10

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Black Sugar (Sucrose), Perfume, Lavender Absolute (Lavandula hybrida), Chamomile Oil (Anthemis nobilis), Olibanum Oil (Boswellia carterii), Myrrh Resinoid (Commiphora myrrha), Silver Lustre Sparkle, Silver Glitter (Polyethyleneterephthalate), *Limonene, *Linalool, Paper Motto.

Here’s a Lush Halloween version of Black Pearl called ‘Cob Web’. Same bomb just a different, fun shape for Halloween.

Review: This Lush bath bomb is the size of “Butterball“. Surprisingly it has lovely silver sparkles in the bomb. I think it looks better with the pretty silvery glitter than it would without it, as it’s color is kind of a chalky dark greyish color in the bath. The scent is so nice when it’s fresh, the scent has stayed on my skin hours after the bath. Lush made the 2005 Christmas soap “Twas the Night Before Christmas” in the same scent as this Black Pearl bath bomb. I think those Lushies that are weary of citrus scents or candyish scents will like this. I also feel that this will be a good for guys as well as women.

Lush Times 2007 description: The Black Pearl is a dark, mysterious Bath bomb named in honour of Captain Jack Sparrow’s ship in Pirates of the Caribbean. (We like Johnny Depp and we reckon Orlando Bloom’s not bad either.) It is studded with crystals of sea salt and scented with lavender and blackcurrant. Inside each one there’s a wise saying, a “pearl of wisdom” to enlighten you in your search for treasure.

Here’s a bath demo video i made of the black pearl bath bomb.

Here is a photo I took of all the Lush products made in the Black Pearl scent

Black Pearl bomb and the dark blue soap with purple sparkles called ”Twas the Night Before Christmas’.

Below is another lush bath bomb called Cobweb. Its also a black pearlbath bomb that was made for halloween one year.

Scent family. The soaps is called ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’.

There is also a face mask, and one other product in this scent at this writing.

Big Blue

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_5249.jpg

Review: This is a classic,  if not THE classic,  Lush product.  If I had to use one word to describe this, I’d say “refreshing”. It’s just like the ocean and has a stupifying deep blue color. Big Blue has a strong scent and has been known to make a couple of people headachey but it is totally invigorating and “spa-like” to me. And relaxing too. Big Blue ballistic has been a popular Lush item for years and years for a reason. The only down side is the small seaweed pieces to cleanup but if you really don’t like them you can put the ballistic in a nylon stocking or a giant teaball that you sometimes find in kitchen stores. I like the seaweed because it really is skin softening (so is the sea salt in Big Blue) and I have dry skin so my skin feels really good after a bath with Big Blue. This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_5251.jpg

Notes: “Bubbling Under” was the bubble bar that Lush made to go with Big Blue. Lush’s “Enchanted Island” bath melt also has this same ocean/sea/lavender/lemon scent.

Lush Times 2006 description: Be aware that the Big Blue gives you the full Pacific Ocean experience, complete with strands of mineral rich seaweed (but stopping short of the actual fish). This bright blue Ballistic, topped with a crust of stimulating sea salt gives you a deep turquoise blue bath scented with balancing lavender and stimulating lemon oil to refresh your mind and body almost as much as a holiday by the warm ocean. Bear in mind that the Big Blue is a lot cheaper, there’s no jet lag and you don’t have to eat aeroplane food. This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_5253.jpg

Ingredients: 200g (6.3 oz) $4.75

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Atlantic Sea Salt Crystals, Perfume, Arame Seaweed, Lemon Oil, Lavender Oil, Seaweed Absolute, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Yellow No. 5.

My scent family pic which is already outdated because a few years after i took the above pic Lush added the things in the list below.  This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is img_5280.jpg

Here are the Lush products that they have made in the same Big Blue scent. I still have to add the products to my blog for the ones that don’t have a link yet. Theres only so much time in a day.

Bathpourri

Lush 1999 UK description: Drop a flower garden in your tub.

Ingredients: Marigold, Chamomile, Amaranth petals and Geranium oil.

This is a floral scented ballistic with lots of amaranth flower petals. It’s floral but it’s a bright lightly sweet floral. The Chamomile lends it’s brightness to it so that the floral isn’t too floral, more of a fresh Spring floral scent. I would use this again.

Bathosphere

This was the first producct that Lush had made with the “Bathos” fragrance.  Violet and clove.  It was green.   Years later Lush made a green liquid “Bathos” bubble bath. A couple of years later Lush made the purple bubble bar called “Bathos”.

Vegan

1998 This was a Lush ballistic that was made because of a user contest in which each person submitted a “colour therapy” ballistic idea. Bathosphere won, so did Waving Not Drowning. I believe this was a violet ballistic. (Bathos-sphere)

Avobigbath

lushavobigbath

Lush Times: The Avobath is one of those ballistics which gets evening people going in the morning, when they would much rather be asleep, so imagine the effect a HUGE one will have. This is an amazingly refreshing Ballistic that smells of stimulating lemongrass. Take a good sniff before you throw it into the bath to revive a sleepy brain. If you absolutely have to get up early and still function as a normal human being, then you need an Avobath a day.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Fresh Organic Avocado (Persea gratissima), Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olea europaea), Lemongrass Oil (Cymbopogon schoenanthus), Bergamot Oil (Citrus Aurantium bergamia), Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora), *Citral, *Geraniol, *Farnesol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Green Glitter (Lustre holly sparkle)

Absolute Delight

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Geranium Bourbon Oil (Pelargonium crispum), Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum officinale), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Perfume, Colour 18050.

Rose that smells a little sweet like candy and is also a powdery rose scent. It’s supposed to smell like the candy “Turkish Delight” and it does, but I still can’t get into this. Is it a floral? Is it candy? It was okay but didn’t really excite me a whole bunch. Pretty pink colored water.

Product description from Early Fall 2003 LT (Hard):

If the Sex Bomb is the ballistic you’d take out on a hot date, then the Absolute Delight is the one you’d want to spend the rest of your life with. It may not be quite so bright and flashy – “obvious” as my gran would have put it – but it is gentle, kind, and lovely, the kind of ballistic you’ll never tire of coming home to. We scent it with Turkish rose absolute, the perfume made from fresh rose petals, with balancing geranium, with a touch of relaxing sandalwood and sesnual jasmine and as it looks a little like Turkish delight (the rose scented sweetie dusted with icing sugar*) we thought that Absolute Delight would be a very appropriate name for it.

From the Festive Christmas Issue 2003 LT (Inhale):

Often when we use the words “absolutely delightful,” we mean “quite nice,” really, but occasionally we find something which really deserves the compliment. If we are being strictly literal about it, the Absolute Delight deserves its name because it is scented with Turkish rose absolute, a perfume made from rose petals. However, we can also justify calling it that because it gives you a truly lovely bathing experience. It’s not full of petals or glitter; it merely makes bath time a gorgeously sensual, relaxing treat which makes you feel wonderful.

Honey Lumps

4 out of 5 rating

See the video i made of Honey Lumps below.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate , Citric Acid , Honey, Tangerine Oil, Myrrh Resinoid, Benzoin Resinoid, Limonene , Perfume * Occurs naturally in essential oils.

Review: Honey Lumps is lovely. It is quite similar to the “Honey Comfort” ballistic. Itsnot the same scent as Honey I Washed the Kids. If you liked B Never shower gel or the Honey Waffle soap, then you’ll probably like Honey Lumps as well, it has the same scent. Maybe a bit more orange citrus in it but very close. It’s honeyish and sweet.

I like this just as much as the current Honey Bee ballistic that Lush makes but The two are different, Honey Bee and Honey Lumps don’t smell the same. Honey Lumps ballistics has more of a true honey smell. I miss the scent of my lovely B Never gel, and this is the next best thing.

One tip; make sure the bath water isn’t tepid, make sure it’s nice and warm/hot because you want the honey gobs to melt in the bath water. Yummy….

Fizzy O Therapy

Video below:

Review: A spicy smaller ballistic at 95g, the size of butterball bath bomb.  Fizzy O has mustard seed and powdered mustard added and all the other warming spices (which accumulated on the bottom of the tub and were kind of scratchy).   This was DCd in 2002.

Ingredients: bicarb, citric acid, ginger powder, mustard powder, clove bud, perfume, cinnamon leaf oil, coriander oil.

Lush Times 2002 description: Have you overdone the physical a bit? Fizzy O’Therapy is the one for soothing the sore feet of marathon runners or marathon shoppers, easing the pulled muscles of footballers who’re old enough to know better, relaxing the shoulders after a long day at the word processor….It’s stuffed full of refreshing coriander, stimulating oils of clove and cinnamon plus hot mustard and ginger powder to ease your aching bodies and feet.

Harvey

4 out of 5

Perfume, Carrot Oil, Bergamot Oil Spearmint Oil  Patchouli Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Orange Oil, Gardenia Extract, Candy Nose

Review: The patchouli and the sweetish carrot oil of Harvey’s scent reminds me of the Lush  ‘Lord of Misrule’ scent, except Harvey isn’t spicy and doesn’t have black pepper like Lord of Misrule.   Harvey is a fast fizzer. Harvey was a limited time only ballistic for Spring 2002 that Lush remade later on once as well.  He’s sought after still because he’s so darn cute and because it’s such a different and cheery, beautiful and yummy scent. He’s a lovely pale Easter egg yellow color and in the shape of a big bunny face with big funny teeth. Minty and perfumey with a little orange oil in it as well. This is wonderfully Spring like. Like sunshine.  This one was best by itself in my opinion.  Makes yellow water.

Lush 2004 Descrption: Not just the image of an Easter bunny, Harvey bath bomb is in honour of the son of LUSH’s Brighton shop manager. He, in turn, took his moniker from the James Stewart film classic., Harvey. Paws for thought – LUSH has added a helping of carrot oil because it’s good for bunnies!

Here’s my video of Harvey

Sacred Lotus

5 out of 5 rating

See my video demo below of this close up in the tub so that you can see the shimmer.

Having Tonka, Jasmine and Neroli, this gorgeous bath bomb epitomizes the “too pretty to use” bath bomb. Looking like a lovely lotus flower,  I was pleasantly surprised at the lovely combination of jasmine floral and lovely orangey neroli, with the creamy, vanillary note of tonka bean.

I have not had any Lush products with the combination of Jasmine, tonka and neroli.  It’s so fragile, that if anyone is having it sent from the UK to the US, it almost always ends up broken.  But that’s the risk we take to get our Lush frenzy quelled.  In this case it was SO worth it.

I find this to be such a gorgeous scent.  It’s one of the stronger scented fragrances.  I normally don’t like alot of jasmine, and i typically don’t like orange blossom.  However, this scent is just gorgeous. I give this bath bomb a 5 out of 5 rating.

Cobweb

Lush Cobweb Bath Bomb (Exclusively Online) Tantalizing black sugar bath bomb made with our ever popular black pearl scent to calm you down after a night of frights. This mighty bomb is a major stress reliever (as long as you’re not scared of spiders).

This awesome looking bath bomb has the great “Black Pearl’ scent.  It’s a “Black Pearl’ bath bomb, but in a cool cobweb shape.  And it has silver glitter.  The grey water looks kindof like the bath water after one uses “The Experimenter’ bath bomb, but not as dark.

LushCobweb

Ingredients:  Black Sugar, Lavender absolute, Chamomile oil, Olibanum oil, Myrrh resinoid, Silver Lustre sparkle.

This is not a citrus nor candy scent.  It’s kind of like mixing Jingle Spells ballistic with Waving Not Drowning ballistic with a slight dusting of black currant thrown in.

Lush also made a Black Pearl ballistic (which came first),  and then next was a soap called ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. I enjoy the black pearl fragrance.  These two are also in this Wiki.

And Men would like this scent too as it is a unisex fragrance.

Here’s a couple of photos i took of all the lush products with the same ‘Black Pearl’ scent.

LushChristmasPartywater3-vi

Ingredients: sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, mixed confetti bright stars, perfume, gardenia extract, orange oil, cognac oil, lime oil, red stars, irridescent glitter

Review: This has become one of Lush’s staple Christmas ballistics . It’s been out almost every Christmas I can remember because it’s so popular. It is a cousin of the ballistic “Bridal Bouquet” which was made to smell like Christmas Party ballistic. Christmas Party smells like an orange fizzy soda to most people. I just don’t like the scent. The ballistic itself is gorgeous. It has different sized foil stars that are pink, purple and orange. It has glittery sparkles of gold and various other colors, and it also has pieces of irridescent paper confetti and a few larger, colorful, paper stars.

Lush Times 2004 description: Our snow white Christmas Party Ballistic is filled with multicoloured stars; it smells like a cocktail of Cointreau and champagne and has a hint of cognac essential oil to help the party go smoothly. Bathe before, after or, if you like it that much, instead of a Christmas party.

“Submerge yourself in glitter and while stars sparkle and twinkle the Fabulous cognac and lime scent fills your senses with its sweet, spicy, heady scent while softening your skin. After stepping out of this bath, you will feel and smell irresistible and the beautiful scent lingers.” Pamela Sirkin.

From the 2003 Yuletide LT:

Our bright white Christmas Party ballistic is filled with multicoloured stars; it smells like buck’s fizz and has a hint of cognac essential oil to help the party go smoothly. Bathe before, after, or instead of a Christmas party.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Iridescent Glitter (Polyethylene terephthalate and Acrylates copolymer), Perfume, Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum officinale), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Colours 18050, Colour 61585.

Lush 2006 Description: Christmas Carol turns the bath water into a fragrant pool of fairy sparkles scented with three of the most sensual essential oils known to man (and woman) especially jasmine – queen of the night. You can even put her on the Christmas tree until you are ready to use her up.

“Very girly scent, very sparkling glitter!” Beate, Aachen, Germany.

Review: This is a Lush “Fairy Jasmine” ballistic, but in angel form for Christmas. This is a such a pretty stocking stuffer. Turbo Bubble, Alkmaar soap or Silky Underwear are made with the same scent.

Cinders bath bomb

$4.95  See my video of Cinders below

Lush Times: Our brand new Cinders Bath Ballistic is the colour of a glowing ember and it crackles like warming wood fire, like the one that Cinderella slept by in the fairy tale. When Mo made this lovely little Ballistic, she added popping candy so it also makes a sound like burning logs. As you lie in the bath listening to your Ballistic fizzing, you’ll be able to hear little crackles too! It was inspired by a bottle of Glug, the Christmas beverage that Mika from Lush in Sweden brought us, so we scented it with cinnamon and orange smell like a warming, yuletime drink. It started life called Glug, but with its colours and sound, Cinders seemed like the perfect name.

Review:  I Love this!  I love the scent.  It’s subtley orange, smokey, spiced with cinnamon.  The pop rocks inside sound like a crackling fireplace.  This was so popular that Lush UKers asked for a Cinders perfume and Lush sold this as a forum member only perfume.

Heres a scent family photo i made.

In 2025 Lush made a candle

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Coarse Sea Salt, Fizzy Candy, Perfume, Gardenia Extract , Almond Oil, Sweet Orange OilCinnamon Leaf Oil ,

The ‘FireBall’ bath bomb in my pic below is also the same scent as Cinders.

Christmas Angel

LushChristmasAngel2008a-vi

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric acid, Cocoa butter, Soya Milk powder, Almond Oil, Laureth 4, Perfume, Spearmint oil, Cocoa powder, Colour 77891, 18050

Review: This is a Haagenbath ballistic, in angel form. It’s wonderful just like Haagenbath is. They make great Christmas stocking stuffers too. I just think they’re cute. I’m a sucker for shaped ballistics. I feel like i get more “bang” for the buck. And the ballistic makes a creamy foamy lather on the surface of the water. Yummy.
