Wash You Were Here

Here’s a video demo i made of this innovative shower body cleanser.  It’s made in the scent of the ‘Olive Branch” shower gel, Olive branch perfume, (now called ‘Pansy’ perfume), and “Pop in the Bath’ bubble bar.  It’s a fun idea, but it also works nicely.

Ingredients: Fresh honeydew melon pulp, cellulose, bergamot oil, lemon oil, orange flower, mandarin orange oil, sodium lauryl sulphate.

Lush description: “Dear Inventive Washers,

We’d love to meet you in the bath or shower. You bring the soundtrack, we’ll bring the soap.”

Here’s a family portrait’ i took, though some family members didn’t show up for the photo, but you can see them in the video (below this photo)

Soft Touch

5 out of 5

Soft touch below with its scent twin Vertical Abhyanga solid shower oil

Size: 3.3oz $11.75

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Fresh Lemons, Shea Butter, Fresh Mango, Horsetail, Cleavers and Vanilla Pod Infusion, Lanolin, Perfume, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Coconut Butter, Beeswax, Wheatgerm Oil, Soya Oil, Avocado Oil, Cardamom Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Neroli Oil, Lavender Oil, Gardenia Extract.

cardamom, vanilla, lavender, neroli.

The first time I tried this I fell for it. To me it smells like some kind of wonderful baked good.  Cardamom is not in alot of lush products. And i have always LOVED cardamom. (Lush Rangoli Dreams bath bomb has it) Its so moisturizing that it makes my skin feel, a tad greasy.  So i use it for my forearms and my legs only.  I’m mad for this bar.  Sometimes i keep a bar on my bedside table so i can smell it while i go to sleep and it’s the first thing i wake up to in the morning. The scent is so good to me that the scent takes it up to a five out of five.

Lush 2006 Description: Our Soft Touch Body Butter is made with plant oils and butters to soften your skin and keep your hands smooth and seriously moisturised. Let it melt generously into your hands at night and leave it there for the nutritious coconut butter, beeswax and cocoa butter to work miracles while you sleep, then wake up to the touch of soft, vanilla scented fingertips. If you share your life with a partner it’s a very good idea to make sure that you keep their hands nicely buttered up with Soft Touch too. For your nails we make an infusion of cleavers (goose grass) and horsetail herb because they are full of silicones. We mash up fresh, organic mangoes to feed your skin because they are the most nutritious fruit in existence. (You’ll notice that they are cropping up in lots of our products). We put in beautiful oils like wheatgerm and avocado to protect and moisturise your hands. Keep it by your bedside and remember it last thing at night. You’ll be glad you did first thing in the morning.

The solid shower oil ‘Vertical Abyanga’ has the same scent.

How To Use: Apply THE SOFT TOUCH to the hands and finger cuticles by rubbing the bar between your hands. Body Butters are designed to melt at body temperatures – please keep them out of direct sunlight and somewhere cool! Aqua Mirabilis body butter scrub bar

5 out of 5

the 2002 original design

Above is the original which i rate a 5 out of 5 rating even though its very small

and the redesigned square thing they turned it into later i rate 3 out of 5.

i dont like the new design as much as the original little fairy cake style.

New design

Aqua-Mirabilis

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter , Almond Butter ,
Ground Almond Shells, Sandalwood Oil, Rose Absolute, Perfume

This is a square, solid cocoa butter with ground almond shells for exfoliation.  It has a rose, almond, sandalwood scent.  I like it.  I bought one every now and then.

Original style 😍

How to use:  You take a shower with soap or shower gel as usual, then after rinsing, rub this (not too hard) on your skin all over, and then rinse off in warm/hot water.  That’s it!

Lush 2005 descrption: “The Aqua Mirabilis is now even more of a miracle. New, improved Aqua Mirabilis is BIGGER! (yeah its bigger but no apricot kernel oil and fizzing marigold foam on top like the original).

I bought seven original style once.

Hooray! Now you can scrub generously all over and not worry about it running out before you reach your toes. If you ever treat yourself and get a scrub at a spa, the beauty therapists expect to exfoliate away huge swathes of dead skin. If you regularly give yourself an Aqua Mirabilis softening scrub, with its gently exfoliating ground almond shells, they are astonished to find that you’ve already got lovely, soft, fresh, healthy skin with hardly a dead grey cell there at all. The Aqua Mirabilis turns your bath or your shower into an instant, bargain body therapy. We make it with sandalwood and rose perfumes to soften your skin, cocoa butter and apricot kernel oil to moisturise it, plus natural ground almonds to scrub you even softer. You will feel fantastic after using one of these. Promise.”

Original style that Lush remade in 2020

Review: The original products called “Aqua Mirabilis Underwater Massage bar did triple duty; scrub, melt, massage, ballistic. It was very small and dainty, like something fairies would make. It had apricot oil peach colored ballistic ‘crust’ which would fizz in the bath, and some sprinkles of marigold flowers on the top and also had marigold flowers mixed up in the coco butter inner layer. And it smelled of real roses and sandalwood. I like the original MUCH better.  Suffice it to say it took a few years for me to use of these redesigned body butter squares. If you have dry or bumpy skin I would suggest this Aqua Mirabilis scrub or the other square scrub called Buffy the Backside Slayer.  Aqua Mirabilis does make ones skin incredibley soft and smooth.

I cut it open. It looks like a slice of cake or a petit four.

Though i cant forgive Lush for destroying my Preciousss…I do like these cocoa butter scrub squares much better than those harder, dome shaped sugar scrubs that Lush have also created.

Original style that lush remade in 2022

Salt and Peppermint Bark

$12.95 This one above i bought from the Lush Kitchen Subscription box November 2021.
It was made originally for one or two years only as a limited edition for Christmas in 2014 or thereabouts.

Salt And Peppermint Bark is here to sweetly
soften your skin this holiday. Over half of each
bar is sea salt for some serious seasonal
scrubbing! Tropical cocoa and cupuacu
butters will soften and condition the skin while
you scrub, to leave you feeling silky smooth.

This is one of very few Lush solid body scrubs that i like. Its made with salt for exfoliatiin purposes. So ifyou have bumps on your upper arms or if you have areas that are rough and dry the cocoa butter will soften and salt will exfoliate those rough spots away.
Its got a nice creamy, slightly sweet peppermint scent.
its the same scent as Maypole soap and Maypole lotion..
the Lush ‘Hey Hollywood’ bath bomb has the same scent.

Peeping Santa

See my video demo below.
A Santa shaped bubble bar sandwiched
together with cocoa butter and shea butter
and fragranced with strawberry-sweet
bergamot and geranium oils.
This shares it’s scent with Yummy Yummy Yummy shower gel, and other lush products from this same ‘scent family’.

Best Washes

Here’s a pic of all my different scents of Lush Uk Oxford Street store Wash Cards (paper soap).

See my demo video below. New at lush Oxford street and online at lush.co.uk

Best Washes shower wash card.

Made with the Lush “Snow Fairy” scent.

Made from melon pull, not trees! You just tear off a small piece and wash with it like soap. Not only does it cleanse, but it’s moisturizing too, and your left with the scent of snow fairy your skin. Fairly economical too, a little tiny piece goes a long way.

Candy Floss Showder

A shower scrubbing powder or ‘Showder’ as Lush calls it. It’s a dry shower scrub of calamine powder and sugar.  This one has the Lush Snowfairy or Candyfluff scent. Its made with vanilla but it also has a bright, fruity smell. Very sweet.

file-sep-19-4-03-32-pm

The first time I saw this on the shelves at the first Lush superstore at Oxford Street on opening day in 2014. I thought it was the cutest product ever.  I thought it was such a cute design, it looks like a box of laundry soap.  I had to have one.  A kind young woman got it for me and sent it to me here in the U.S.

Even though theyre all empty now, i still display them. 😊

Also, Lush had four other showders.  One not in the picture below was called ‘Dirty Deal’, which was rose colored and turned purple when the water hit it. So. Freakin. Cool.

My favorite showder however was the ‘Washaccino’.  The lemon was great too.   The life’s a Beach was my least favorite, it was the only one of the four that was made with beach sand as the base, too scrathcy, whereas the others have a powdery soft texture. They all lather.   The washaccino is the lather..iest. And It like washing with silk.

Here’s a video i made of using the Candy Floss Showder on my arm at the sink.

Lemon Sherbet Showder

5 out f 5 rating. This is my favorite of the Showders at Oxford Street.

it smells so wonderfully lemony. Not fake lemon but real lemon with just a touch of sweetness. Here’s a video i made of this showder and what it looks like up close

15 minute Video showing what all four look like in close up detail when you wash with them (below) 🙂

Washaccino Showder

5 out of 5 rating. See my demo and review video below.

I absolutely LOVE this showder (shower powder) the foaming feels decadent, the smell is yummy!

I loved all the showers but the washaccino (cappuccino) and the lemon were my favorite.

This was exclusive to the Oxford Street superstore in London for about a year.

Here’s a video i made of the Washaccino Showder up close and i wash my hands with it so you can see how it looks.

Below is a photo i took of four of the five Lush showders. They’re all the same consistency and work the same EXCEPT the Life’s a Beach.

Berry rhoulade scrub

Lush created these new ‘Rhoulades’ (rolls) as a sort of firmer textured smoothie sans the usual black Lush container. Instead it’s wrapped in a. more natural casing, saving on the waste of containers.

This Berry rhoulade the new berry scent which is reminiscent of the Comforter, but with less cassis.

Some folks didn’t like this because the color could stain. It smelled good though, like berries but not sweet, but like tart cherries.

Lush used to sell their rhoulade smoothies in black pots like their body conditioners and lotions. Except they just called them shower smoothies, because there was no rhoulade about the smoothies. they weren’t rolled and didn’t have a coating. It was just the inside of the rhoulade in a black pot.

Turkish Delight

Lush made a Turkish Delight dusting powder for the Lush Kitchen May 2026 monthly subscription box.

4 out of 5 rating

5 out of 5 rating

This newer turkish delight here in May 2025 doesnt have lemongrass like the original. Instead lush added neroli in this variation. Theres a difference but its not a huge difference.

This is the block pot version. Turkish delight was a regular year long item for a few years before it was discontinued in the 2010’s.

Lush has made a black pot version which is literally one of my favorite things that Lush makes.

The potted version (it’s basically a smoothie) is one of the wonderful things that Lush made before they were called Lush, when they were Cosmetics To Go. I still have the empty, cleaned out glass container.

The vintage glass container from Lush’s sister company ‘BNever Too Busy To Be Beautiful’ is inside the gift box on the left side with the yellow label on top. It was made pre-2008 at this boutique. Later on lush remade it as a lush item.

Lush made this Turkish Rose body polish in their ‘Keep It Fluffy’ scent, which as many know if one of my favorite scents.

ylang ylang, rose, lemongrass and jasmine.

Another of their new rhoulades, this one has the scrummy scent of turkish delight, with that beautiful rose fragrance.  It looks like turkish rose candy too.

this different version below was a container-less version called turkish delight rhoulade smoothie that Lush made at their Oxford Street superstore.

I liked the black pot version Much more. So much easier to use.

Rub Rub Rub body scrub, shower gel

4 out of 4

This is what the solid version looked like. Lush made it this way for some years, and then they went back to the liquid kind in the black pot again.

I love the scrub. It’s one of Lush’ prettier square body scrubs. It has the mimosa flower, Cherry Blossom scent of their popular ‘Sakura’ bath bomb. A feminine scent. The exfoliating is enhanced by the moisturizing Cocoa butter which leaves skin sooo soft afterwards.

You just wash in the shower as usual, with soap or shower gel, then rinse off. Then you scrub the rough parts of your body like knees, elbows, legs, etc. Then simply rinse off in the shower and dry yourself off, that’s it. The lovely and natural floral scent lingers on my skin for a couple hours. I would suggest this.

Mimosa flowers. I knew this smell right away, I used to walk around these trees at my fathers house that had the fuzzy lavender colored flowers on it and the smell was heavenly. A sweet yet powdery flower the mimosa. It is lavender in color and fuzzy like a soft pink brush. Sometimes it smells like a light melon scent too. Mimosa is what the “Sakura” and “Rub Rub Rub” is scented with.

Lush made this shower gel alooooong time ago for users on their customer forum website. The bottles were extra large. Im glad i bought a couple of bottles.

Such a pretty color

I took a photo of these rub rub rub/sakura scented products below. There are a couple of other products that lush released a few years after this photo was taken such as the ‘naked version of the scrub’
