Slammer was a bath bomb first in the early 2000’s.
Whenever i buy a new lushshower gel or jelly I like to take a pic of my it on my dining room table where the sun comes through in the morning, because the light coming through it makes them look like jewels.. the consistency of the 2024 Lush kitchen slammer is thinner than i remember it being.
Review: I think the lemon in this smells too strong to me. I like Back for Breakfast shower gel more. Slammer is the best for waking up it’s said. Lush made this shower gel to be the same as their once loved “Slammer” ballistic. It’s a popular shower gel , some say the Slammer scent smells like a margarita. The guys would like this Slammer gel too as it’s a neutral scent. It’s got just the right amount of sweetness. Smells kind of like lime and lemon punch.
Lush 2005 Description: If Back For Breakfast is too soft for you then Slammer will be your shower gel of choice. It metamorphosed not long back from a Bath Bomb to a shower gel because the kind of people likely to need a Slammer alarm call do not always have time for a bath in the morning. (Although it does a very good job as a bubble bath for those too tired to stand up.) You may notice, those of you who like the odd tequila cocktail, that our Slammer, with its fresh lime juice and rock salt, bears a certain resemblance to another sort of slammer. Those of you who are partial to the other sort of slammer in the evening will probably need a bottle of ours to get you through the morning.
Here is my Slammer bath bomb. The bomb came first then a few years later the shower gel.
Heres a pic below i took of the one i used in 2004
Vegan 8.4oz
Ingredients: Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Fresh Spring Water (Aqua), Fresh Scottish Sea Water (Aqua), Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe barbadensis), Sea Salt (Sodium chloride), Perfume, Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita), Bergamot Oil (Citrus bergamia), Orange Oil (Citrus dulcis), Colour 42045, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
Review: Woo! That’s the way it feels. Powerfully minty with a teeny weeny bit of citrus. Its kind of a sweet mint, more sweet than ‘Dirty’ not as herbally as ‘Dirty’. It’s fabulous in the morning or when it’s hot and muggy outside. Oh and ladies, some (not everyone) find it uncomfortable for sensitive areas.
Lush 2005 Description: Peppermint has this amazing quality of making your feel cool when you’re hot and warm when you’re cold. When you’re in a warm shower and you put a dollop of Freeze Shower Gel on your body it gives you a refreshing, tingly feeling all over. Peppermint has been used for thousands of years to help the skin stay soft and the mind stay focused. One view is that it was named ‘mente’ meaning thought because it is said to help concentration and inspiration. If you lack either of these, try making Freeze your morning shower gel and shampoo of choice.
Lush made Ice Blue shampoo (and another shower gel also called Ice Blue) in the same exact scent, also with orange oil, bergamot and peppermint.
Years later lush made Freeze body scrub for their January 2025 monthly subscription box.
This shower gel.is exclusive to the Lush Uk Kitchen subscription box.
Its actually made by combining two existing Lush products: ‘Tramp’ and ‘Smaragadine‘.
Tramp is a old lush favorite shower gel that smelled very earthy like a fairy glade. Its main scent notes were patchouli and oakmoss.
Smaragadine was an even older product from their B Never Too Busy boutique that was a liquid bubble bath made with mint, lavender, rose petal, sandalwood, orange peel, chamomile, petitgrain and ginger.
Ingredients: White Horehound and Peppermint Leaf Infusion, Balm Herb, Rose Petal and Lavender Flower Infusion, Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Fine Sea Salt, Organic Orange Peel Decoction, Patchouli Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Pimento Berry Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Ginger Oil, Plantain Vinegar Gel, Perfume, Methyl Ionone, Eugenol, *Limonene, Linalool, Chlorophyllin, Methylparaben. * Occurs naturally in essential oils
Review: Thick, green and mossy. Doubles as a bubble bath. Very burnt-patchouli/clove scented; if you like the Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds bubble bar, you’ll probably like Supertramp. Scent lingers on the skin for hours after showering. I like it. For reference it’s a heavier more complex scent than Lush ‘Grass’, which is also a popular green scent.
Lush Kitchen description: An earthy, mystical shower gel that smells like wandering through tall dark pine trees in an enchanted forest over a cool soft carpet of moss. With horehound to cleanse the skin, peppermint to add a warming, fresh top note and the sensual, floral scents of lavender and rose.
Below is a scent family photo (cousins) i took of the Supertramp products below. The Supertramp extra large bubble bar was only available at the Lush Oxford Street store initially.
So Supertramp has all of these notes from the products in the pic above. Its a multi layered, spa type of scent. The Supertramp shower gel is a dark green, thick gel that is calming and soothing.
I would say that it’s one of the best green, earthy shower gels that Lush has made, along with tramp, smaragadine, serpentine, grass, Green day, Go green, Green Green bath of foam, etc.
Its a unisex scent that would be liked by both men and women.
The Supertramp in this Lush Kitchen Subscription box in the pic above is the regular 250g Medium size.
I would recommend it and would buy another one if i had the chance.
Lush introduced Almond Blossom into their regular line on Jan 23, 2020. Its made in a new sulphate free formula.
Its made in the same scent as the Christmas 2019 body lotion ‘Snowflake’. Its primary ingredient is almond essential oil.
I don’t like this Almond Blossom shower gel as much as i love the Snowflake lotion. The shower gel smells much weaker to me, and isn’t sweet at all. Plus the consistency of the nee shower gel formulatiin was not good. Most people are telling me that their Almond Blossom shower gel is so sweet and strong it makes them sick. I guess mine is so different due to the handmade nature of Lush products.
“The delicate blossoms of spring have been reimagined as a softening shower gel enriched with almond milk and the scent of sweet marzipan. A triple dose of almond comes courtesy of Fair Trade almond oil, almond milk and almond essential oil and is rounded off with the woody warmth of sandalwood and sweet benzoin. Sulphate-free, this creates a gentle lather suitable for all skins.
You’ll love this if you like: (Lush lists products below that do not have the same scent). I think it smells like Lush ‘Snowcake’ but more almond-y and sweeter.
– Sweet marzipan treats.
–Cherry Blossombubble bar orCookie Doughlip scrub.
– Gentle, soothing showers to calm skin and leave it feeling soft.
Benefits:
– Almond milk is both softening and moisturising on your skin, helping to protect it from the elements.
– Fair Trade almond oil not only softens and moisturises your skin, it also gives the Palestinian farmers who grow and harvest the almonds a steady income.
– Rose water calms and balances your skin, helping to alleviate redness and irritation.
– This shower gel is extra gentle, made with a new sulphate-free and palm-free formula. Let us know what you think atwecare@lush.co.uk.”

Yog Nog
Oh my goodness. This is a wow product. The minute i slathered this on in the shower i knew i was in love.
in my photo below you can see on the right, next to my large bottle of Yog Nog shower gel is the Lush ‘Naked’ or solid Yog Nog shower gel.
Lush has made a soap, smoothie rhoulade, bubble bar, lotion, spray perfume, perfume oil, shower jelly, reusable bubble bar, and now finally a shower gel. Although its cdrtainly more like a shower cream because its so thick and decadent.
Below are the many products that Lush has made and sold throughout the years with the yog nog scent.
Everything that we love about yog nog is in this shower gel. The sweet, caramely richness was dying to be in this form so we could rub it all over ourselves. It FEELS so lushious on the skin. The scent is nice and strong and true to form.
Perfect yummy goodness.
And even better its a shimmery gold color!
*swoons*
Thank you Lush ❤️
This might be my favorite Christmas product this year.
Make sure you get the biggest bottle you can.
Oh…i also understand there is going to be a solid (naked) packageless version of this too!
(not to be confused with Happy 4 SAD shower gel, which is different, and being voted for the Lush monthly subscription box)
5 out of 5 rating. See my demo, description & review video below.
Happy
One of two new shower gels this Christmas.
This smells like fruity bubblegum. Thats exactly what it smells like to me. I was surprised. Its made with lemon oil, orange oil and neroli oil. It also has wLnut leaf and dandelion root infusion.
Its a blue-green, medium thick gel with lots of multi colored shimmer.
Because of the ingredients i expected this to smell more citrussy, but its sweeter than i expected.
If you like fruity bubblegum you’ll like this shower gel.
I love the scent of Nevermind the Ballistics. Alot of people were confused when they came out as an limited edition exclusive because people were expecting the blue one to be the minty one (brr, cold, blue) and Nevermind to be the Yellow one (since the nevermind bath bomb was half yellow), but they were the opposite.
Brr is minty and bam smells like a tropical fruit scent and frankincense.
As is usual for a lush slime these are thick but runny.
Heres a link to my demo and review video of them as i use them at the sink.
This is one of six exclusive shower gels that Lush.co.uk made ‘just because’ from community favorite bath bombs
Honestly, This is the shower gel i was the least excited about. Ive seen sex bomb in one form or another for 17 years. *yawn*
However, i was in for a surprise when i used this for the first time.
Firstly, it has this quite unexpected pink shimmer to it. SO pretty. The bath bomb that this shower gel was named after doesnt have any glitter nor shimmer so this was a pleasant surprise. its not glitter like in Intergalactic shower gel, this is *shimmer*, more subtle than glitter. Beautiful. I just keep gazing at it in the light.
Secondly, the scent isn’t as complex as rhe bsth bomb scent. That said-this is what i could call a classically ‘pretty’ scent. Its feminine and floral. Having rose, and jasmine florals. The herbaceousness of the sage is kind of missing, and the ylang ylang isnt coming across at all to me but….i dont care because this floral shower gel scent has great ‘throw’. Its not a sweet scent. Just floral.
And more importantly two hours after my shower im getting compliments about how i smell at the grocery store, and from my husband. He said it smells sexy.
I SEE you Sex Bomb shower gel! ❤️
Other Lush products in this same Sex Bomb scent
Play Your Cards Right massage bar
SeXXX Bomb (a giant sex bomb)
Mum Tulip bubble bar on a stick (Lush made an orange tulip that had the sex bomb scent and another year lush made an orange tulip with a yuzu and cocoa scent).
I love the creamy goodness of the Lush Turmeric Latte bath bomb, so i was excited to get the shower gel.
Upon examination i was surprised there wasn’t glitter in this particular shower gel, since the bath bomb makes TONS of gold glitter in the bath water.
The scent is one of those sort of non-descript scents. Its a cross between perfume-y and food-y.
It smells like a combination of mens cologne and pie.
Yes.
So its a very different kind of scent. It’s scent does seem to cling onto the skin long after my shower. I can smell it on my arma couple of hours after my shower.
Since turmeric latte isn’t made with coffee, nor chocolate it doesnt smell like an American Cafe Latte. Turmeric is a spice used in indian cooking and other foods. Its what lends the golden color.
Tumeric latte is made with golden milk.
And thats what this scent smells like.
While i like it and will use it, i don’t love it. Its nice and confitioning to my skin, moreso than the other Lush shower gels. And its consistency is nice and thick.
Some days i think it a 4, and other days i think its a 3.
This is one of six shower gels that Lush made just because, from our favorite in-store bath bombs.
While im quite enamored with the woody, fruity scent of the bath bomb, the scent in the shower gel doesnt quite translate tjat similarly. That said its still a good smelling shower gel. It translates to a straight up bubble gum scent.
The look of the bomb is a rainbow of bright colors, and so the bath bombs scent is also multi layered with contrasting notes of woodiness and fruitiness.
The shower gel isnt quite as much of a mixture of notes as it is a muddiness of scents. Intetestingly this blending becomes bubblegum.
My husband is even less impressed by this shower gel, he does NOT like the scent. He says it smells like bad breath. Yikes. I dont get that at all but your mileage may vary. *closes the lid of the bottle with a loud snap*
Its a nice thick bright orange shower gel.
It doesnt have glitter because the bath bomb has no glitter.
If you like bubblegum scents you’ll love this shower gel.
See below for my 30 second close up video demo of this beautiful gel.
I show the Intergalactic bath bomb in my photo below. The bsth bomb came first and was sold as a regulr year round item in all stores for a couple years. The shower gel came next as an exclusive Lush community product.
Lush made six shower gels from six popular bath bombs. Intergalactic being one of the six.
The bath bomb is very popular because of its looks and its scent. Its cobalt blue and full of Glitter. Like a planet, in space, amongst the sparkly stars. Its a nice consistency its not a thin gel.
The bath bomb is sweet, minty, woody and citrussy. However, the shower gel loses some of its sweetness, and its woodiness in the translation. So the shower gel is minty and herbal with a jint of grapefruit. Not as sweet though, and not as layered in scent.
But nice smelling nonetheless. ❤️
Trying to show the sparkles in my photos above and below.
In this short video clip show the gels consistency by pouring it in a bowl.
Lush has made an Intergalactic bubble bar in 2024 as well as an Intergalactic ‘showder’ (shower powder soap), and an exclusive Intergalactic soap from the 2017 yearly Lush creative showcase event.

Video Of the shower gel on a plate when the sun shines on the sparkly shower gel. 😊
I cant remember the exact year but the bottle above was made for the very first time between 2014-2018.
The second bottle in my pic below was remade in July 2024 for the lush online community. Lush asked us to vote on what Lush product we would like them to make into a shower gel.
I am very excited that Lush included Guardian of the Forest in their newest ‘we’re making shower gels of your favorite bath bombs just because’.
As i state in my video i think of GOTF as a new classic Lush green scent. Its both deep green but also bright with cypress.
Its a translucent gel. I was somewhat disppointed that it doesnt have glitter since the bath bomb has emerald green glitter but its not a huge deal because im just glad to have a nice green smelling shower gel to enjoy!
It smells like I’m in a forest or a fairy glade only not quite as woody as the bath bomb.
Rosewood, oakmoss, cypress, and lime.
The gel is nice and thick and it lathers up nicely on my skin.
Its such a soothing, grounding scent.
“The forest is alive. Can you hear the trees whispering the secrets of the earth to you? They beckon you onward. Feel the carpet of cool, thick moss beneath your bare feet as citrus sunlight breaks through the trees ahead, gilding the world in dappled gold and green. Follow the footsteps of a mysterious creature and emerge into a clearing, a trickling waterfall in a glade of rosewood and cypress – the heart of the forest. Let the ethereal tranquility surround you as you step beneath the water, earthy oakmoss and cleansing lime washing away any trace of the world beyond. It’s just you and the trees.”
I added my haul video below. In my ten minute video i describe the dear John scent and also demo the bath bomb in my bath.
I also show the shower gel close up and wash with it close up at the sink so you can see how thick it is compared to the Lush Kitchen 2018 Dear John shower gel.
I describe the fruity scents of the Love Train bath bomb, and the bergamot scented PoP bubble bar too.
See my 8 minute video below. I worked very hard in this video to describe exactly what the scent smells like so you can make your best purchasing choices. 🙂
Here is a photo i took of the Lush products made in this scent.
This bottle below came from a giftset i bought.
Below is a photo i took with all the Lush American Cream items at the time.
the liquid version is on the thin side.
oddly i enjoyed washing with the naked version below a bit more.
American Cream is a vanilla based scent which also has clary sage, and lavender as its scent components. The hair conditioner added strawberry. The other American Cream products have strawberry in them…but….American Cream products do not smell like strawberry. It’s made with strawberry, it’s not strawberry scented.
This bottle bow was made again years later in July 2024.
I like to make that clear, so that people won’t spend their hard earned money on something that they think will be strawberry scented, only to be disappointed when it’s not.
There are one or two other products that arent in this photo.
All the avocado co wash products made by Lush over the years and currently are listed below in order of the originating product at the top of the list.
Avocado Co Wash hair conditioner
Avocado Co Wash shower gel. This is a thick shower gel.
Avocado Co Wash body lotion
Melusine exclusive, limited edition bath bomb
Avocado Co Wash exclusive uk body spray
Avocado Co Wash naked shower cream
Minamisoma shower oil
I’m also checking to make sure that one of the Lush 2018 ‘bauble melts’ isnt avocado Co Wash scented.
Its a very sour lime scent with a nice sweet note in it. It’s quite a big burst of a limey fragrance made with sweet, fruity bergamot oil, fragrant incense-y yet citrussy frankincense (olibanum), and the lemony litsea cubeba herb.
There is the addition of avocado, which is moisturizing and softening for skin and hair.
This is a bubble bar made for Mothers Day.
There is rosemary, nettle, vinegar and lavender flower in the conditioner.
The Keep It Fluffy scent was one of 12 different scents families product lines sold at the Lush sister company called “B Nnever Too Busy To Be beautiful” boutique in London from 2005-2009 or thereabouts. The Lush website had a tab for their B Never store and if you clicked on it it would take you to the B Never store retail website so you could buy things and even have them delivered to the U.S.A. naturally i took advantage of that service.
One of my favorite Keep It Fluffy items from that boutique was the bubble bar, in my picture below. It’s on the bottom right, pink with a red rose in the middle.
Lush will be making it again 20 years later in the upcoming February 2026 subscription box.
If you’ve ever tried The Lush turkish rose shower smoothie, that was made in the Keep It Fluffy scent. You can see my vintage glass bottle of it that came in the Keep It Fluffy gift set that i bought in my pics below from 2006.
It a soft, young, fresh rose scent, not an old lady rose scent, even though i’m an old lady 😊.
My bottle of Keep it Fluffy shower gel. Ive had tbree versions of this in the last 20 years that ive been using lush.
In my picture above are my now empty Original cut crystal Keep It Fluffy perfume on the left from 2006, and a new bottle on the right from 2019. The pink one in the middle is a Lush bubble bar recently made in Lush UK called ‘Keep It Fluffy Bubble Bottle’.
I have all the Keep It Fluffy products Lush/B Never made from 2006 onwards to the present 2023.
Keep It Fluffy was at one time my favorite of the 15 fragrance lines that Lush sold at their sister store ‘B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful‘ 2005-2008. Keep It Fluffy was a large line of products. Its a light and pretty fragrance. Its got rose petal infusion, vanilla, jasmine, lemongrass, and ylang ylang.
When i smell Keep It Fluffy I usually smell the rose petal infusion, then the Ylang Ylang and jasmine. I dont usually pick up the lemongrass.
Here’s my pic of the body spray from 2006.
Some people don’t like it, and some people love it. So id go by the notes if youre trying to make a decision on buying or not.
If youre familiar with the Lush/B Never ‘Two Hearts’ fragrance..its *somewhat* similar notes, except Two Hearts is more jasmine forward and has no vanilla or lemongrass.
Lush made the bath bomb again, once around 2008.
There are some kinds of products that carry the KiF scent better than others. Lush had a bath bomb which was lovely and so was the soap. The perfume is iffy because i have the originals to compare it to and for sone reason the original is better scented. It should be the other way around right? The older one shouldnt smell better than the new one. So this tells me that Lush is using less of some ingredient than they used to.
A new 2025 Keep It Fluffy soap that Lush sells on their website and in stores.
Keep It Fluffy soap
Also, if youve used or smelled the Lush ‘Turkish Delight’ smoothie, that is made with the KiF scent. I love the scent in the smoothie.
Here’s an empty bottle of one of my Lush Keep It Fluffy perfumes. Lush made these cut crystal bottles. The one next to it was a body spray.
This is one of my ‘if you were on a deserted island’ Lush perfumes.
Here’s my video
In my photo below I gathered all my Keep It Fluffy products. The container was a handmade Lush Keep It Fluffy gift set container.
rose petal infusion, jasmine flower infision, vanilla, lemon grass and ylang ylang.
It’s a beautiful, innocent soft floral with citrus notes. Its not sweet. Well maybe a tiny bit sweet. Very little.
I have a bunch of Lush Keep it Fluffy things. Some of the containers are empty. And i still have bubble bars, empty shower gels and other bath stuff in this scent. Myself and others have been hinting to Mark C from Lush about re-making keep it fluffy for a few years now.
And the Lush Kitchen did remake the shower gel, (below) yay!! In 2025 for one of the monthly Subscription boxes.
Maybe someday. I can always hope.
Above is my empty bottle of ‘Rose Tinted Spectacles’ which was a liquid bubble bath that was sold at the B Never store and its the Keep It Fluffy scent.
ETA: As of 2021 Lush now sells this perfume again! I think it’s limited edition.
The ‘Keep It Fluffy bubble bottle’ bubble bar on the left is in the same shape as the perfume bottle. Lush made these in 2019
Heres a keep it fluffy bath bomb thst Lush made as a Lush product and wasn’t at their B Never boutique.
Also in the Keep It Fluffy scent is the ‘Funny Face’ Fun bar, which was exclusive and free at a Lush Event in England for one night. A very lovely woman got one for me 🙏🏼❤️
Funny Face was an old movie with Audrey Hepburn. The exclusive Lush cinema were giving out fun bars with the Keep It Fluffy scent.
The lights in the display room were a pink neon
In my photo above are all my products from B Never back in the day. i still have the cleaned out, empty containers in a box in my lush room closet.
This is the long awaited (if youre an OG Lushie) Cinders shower gel.
Many Lushies have been wsiting for a shower gel of Cinders since lush first introduced their Cinders bath bomb during holidays past.
Fireball bath bomb has the same scent.
The Cinders bath bomb (and later – uk forum perfume that i bought on the forum) has a base of orange oil and cinnamon leaf.
This shower gel however, adds some extra pumpkin pie spices that were not in the original. Alspice, nutmeg, clove, and pumpkin puree!
So itslike a combination of orange and pumpkin pie. Quite different.
Im surprised this isnt called a shower cream since it has extra moisturizing properties like almond oil and pumpkin seed oil.
I like the orange color for Fall. And i like that Lush added the obligatory American spice mix.
scent family photo i took in 2016
Cinders bath bomb
Cinders perfume
Cinders shower gel
Cinders solid shower gel
Dark Arts bath bomb
Fireball bath bomb
The consistency is a nice medium-thick.
The scent doesnt partcularly last on the skin.
I would drfinitely enjoy using the large bottle i have and the naked Cinders shower gel also, but i dont know that id care to buy another bottle bottle. Thsts why i rate Cinders shower gel a 4 out of 5 rating.
The original product was a bath bomb in the mid 2000’s.
Theres also a candle
Here is a 7 minute close up sink demo i recorded of Cinders shower gel.
