Ugai

2 out of 5 rating

This Ugai is entirely too salty.  I believe there are folks who would like this but i can’t for the life of me figure out why to be honest.  The saltiness of the initial bite didn’t last the entire time while gargling and swishing.  The saltiness only stays the first 20 seconds or so.

I enjoy the other two new lush mouthwash tabs; Creme de Menthe and Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster much more  than Ugai.

An oasis of green tea and sea salt awaits. Inspired by the Japanese custom of gargling to maintain health and vitality, these little tabs are packed with tantalising herbal taste to deeply cleanse and comfort your mouth. Antibacterial tea tree and sea salt offer freshness, while green tea gives a quenching, verdant flavour.

After brushing your teeth, pop one tab into the mouth and take a sip of water to start the fizz. Nibble and swish before spitting out. They can also be used throughout the day whenever you fancy a bit or oral refreshment.

The use of a mouthwash should be the final step in the oral routine both in the morning and in the evening. It should not be used alone as a substitute for brushing or flossing. Avoid eating or drinking for half an hour after using the mouthwash for ultimate oral health.

Here’s a demo and review video i made of the Ugai mouthwash tabs

Creme De Menthe

4 out of 5 rating

Glacially good breath is mint to be. In fact, it’s on the tipple your tongue. Make yours a double shot of mint for an intoxicating blast of icy coolness. Malic acid tickles your tastebuds with a smooth, juicy flavour, and enhances the spicy exhileration of bracing peppermint oil. Not shaken, not stirred: just straight up ice-cool refreshment.

This is my second favorite new Lush mouthwash.  This is the mintiest of the three new Lush mouthwashes.  If you want that classic mouthwash taste, this is the one for you.  It’s entirely minty and leaves a nice clean feeling to my teeth.  It just like using commcercial mouthwash.  I like that this creme de menthe mouthwash has a pretty green shimmer to it. That’s why i give this a 4 out of 5 rating.

This product is made with fair trade shea butter to soften and moisturise whilst cherries and dates give you sweet, kissable lips. With our sexy red, cola-flavoured lip tint, who needs mistletoe?

Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster Mouthwash

4 out of 5 Rating – See my video demo i made below

Lush has introduced their new line of mouthwash products, including three new solid mouthwash tablets.  Debuting in the Lush kitchen.

I really like these.  As i explain in my review video i didn’t think new tablets would be like commercial mouthwash as far as the feeling after using it.  So fresh and good tasting.  See video for more of my review of this Pan Galactic Garble Blaster.

This planet has – or rather had – a problem, which was this: most of the mouthwashes on it were rather boring, and had been for rather a long time. There was a largely unexplored space to fill, and the only way to fill it was to seek inspiration from the wider, largely unexplored, space around Earth itself. A shot of lemon oil offers warbling refreshment for the palate, quinine packs the same mouthwatering taste that’s found in tonic water, while aniseed and heaps of fizz give your mouth a feeling to remember. If you’re not currently having adventures with the ape-descended life forms of the little blue planet, it’s highly worth the hitchhike there to try this…

After brushing your teeth, pop one tab into the mouth and take a sip of water to start the fizz. Nibble and swish before spitting out. They can also be used throughout the day whenever you fancy a bit or oral refreshment.

Blue Skies liquid bubble bath

5 out of 5file-sep-25-4-09-37-pm

Bkue Skies used to be a liquid bubble bath before it was a solid bubble bar like it is now.

Then in the late 90’s lush started selling their now famous solid bubble bars. And the Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds was a larger blue and white swirly bar.

A bit later as a limited editiin Lush made a shower gel called Ol’ Blue Skies it was aighter blue with a light amount of silver spsrkle mixed in.

The Liquid Blue Skies bubble bath is SUCH a beautiful shade of deep cobalt blue. It mesmerizes me.

Lush only made a handful of different liquid bubble baths. For instance Bathos was originally a liquid bubble bath.

More Recently in 2018 Lush made a Blue Skies & Fluffy White Clouds bath bomb. It was made look like a cloud.

The scent is a combination of earthy patchouli and cinnamon.

Here’s a demo and review video i made of this bubble bath in the tub.

Tuca Tuca

4 out of 5

This has the same scent as the Lush shower gel called don’t rain on my parade

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter , Shea Butter , Perfume, Fresh Rose Petal Extract , Cassie Absolute , Vanilla Absolute , Sandalwood Oil , Vetivert Oil , Violet Leaf Absolute , Ylang Ylang Oil  *Benzyl Salicylate, *Cinnamal, *Coumarin, *Eugenol, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Farnesol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Titanium Dioxide,Colour 77019, Colour 77007

Lush Times: GRAB YOUR PARTNER…It has a soothing extract of fresh rose petals, moisturising cocoa and shea butters, and a seductive violet scent that flirts with sensuality. It’s a massage experience that will do all the work for you. Grab the bar, dim the lights, and tuca tuca! After the song inspired such raucous enthusiasm, it seemed almost absurd not to have a Tuca Tuca Massage Bar to get people touching each other.

It’s the same scent as Lush ‘Violet Nights’ bath oil

TucaTucaMassageBar-vi

Everything in my picture below, except the ultraviolet bubble bar and the kerbside violet perfume are in the same scent family as tuca tuca.

Below is my pic of a bottle of Violet Nights from 1993, when Lush were called ‘Cosmetics To Go’.

Sonic Death Monkey

3 out of 5

This is my picture of my first bottle of Sonic Death Monkey that i took in 2006. Blurry, lol.

The name comes from a record store owner’s band name in the movie called ‘Hi Fidelity’ made in 2000.

The reason i rated this a 3 is because its too thin of a consistency for me. Anytime Lush has remade this in the Lush Kitchen, Retro, etc. Lushies, including myself, complain how thin it is. Its always been watery.

Also, i dont think it smells quite like chocolate. Its very sweet, and sweet with orange, lime, and tangerine.

It doesnt suck, but its not something i would buy if they started selling it in stores again. And im typically an orange freak, i love it so much, but not the case with sonic death monkey.

Here’s a demo and review i made on my youtube channel showing Sonic Death Monkey shower gel.

Ingredients:
Coffee, Cocoa, Cerassie Infusion, Fresh Lime Juice, Perfume, Hemp Oil, Tangerine Oil, Orange Oil, Vanilla.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine,

These three Lush products in my photo below were made with the same scent.

It smells like Lush’ “Whipstick” lip scrub.

Its different than the discontinued chocolate and ginger shower gel “13 Rabbits“. I like 13 rabbits more, its more like real chocolate in scent and consistency than Sonic Death Monkey.

Lush Chocolates 🍫🍩🍪

Lush “Heavenly Bodies” buttercream

Lush 2006 Description: There are many chocolate shower gels in the world and most of them, frankly, are horrid. They are nasty, gimmicky, cheap, synthetic things which smell like market stall chocolate Christmas decorations – horrid, as we were saying. For a while we resisted, not wanting to be tarnished by such a tawdry image, then we thought to ourselves, “We can do better than that, much better!” so we did. (Actually Noriko did it.) Oh what gloriously gloopy, sensual stuff Sonic Death Monkey turned out to be. It has seaweed gel make your hair and body feel soft; it’s scented with chocolate orange and tones you up with fresh lime, Caribbean coffee and herbal tea. (It’s named after Barry’s band in High Fidelity.) Cover yourself in chocolate orange and dig that crazy gravy.

Jungle Jelly

Ingredients: Fresh Kumquat infusion (fortunella japonica), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Carageenan extract, Ylang Ylang Oil, (Cananaga odirata), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria izanoides), Cypress Oil, (Cupressus sempervirens), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), *Limonene, Linalool, Colour 45350, Coulour 77891, gardenia Extract (Gardenia Jasminoides), Methylparaben *Occurs naturally in essential oils.

This is a bright clear green and a lighter, opaque green, swirled jelly. It has the scent of Lush’s “Jungle” solid hair conditioner. This is one of the few jellies in which the scent does last on the skin. I like this jelly quite a bit. I always liked the scent of Jungle but could never get the hang of how to apply it in my tangled hair so this Jungle Jelly is a much better method to get that great earthy, dark green Jungle scent.

Lush Description: Relaxing Shower jelly to lead you serenly through the tangled Jungle of life. Freeze it, chill it, or use it at bathroom temperature. Crush or stroke it all over your body and hair, lather and rinse out.

Here’s a demo & review video i made of Jungle jelly

Lovely Jubblies

Ingredients: Meadowsweet Infusion , Fresh Rose Infusion , Organic Cold Pressed Almond Oil , Cocoa Butter , Organic Cold Pressed Jojoba Oil , Stearic Acid, Glycerine, Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil , Organic Cold Pressed Avocado Oil , Orange Blossom Honey , Triethanolamine, Lemongrass Oil , Ylang Ylang Oil , Jasmine Absolute , Tiger Lily Petals , Beeswax , Cetearyl Alcohol, *Citral, *Geraniol,Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Alcohol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume

Lush Times: We’ve developed a cream to keep your bits firm and supple. This blend of cold-pressed, organic oils can keep your knockers, decolletage, stomach and bottom in top nick. The tightening action of meadowsweet and the fragrant, floral boo-kay of orange blossom and rose will give you the loveliest jubblies in town. Cushdy!

This smells like honey and orange flower to me more than anything. It’s lovely. It’s not greasy or anything. And it really does seem to firm things up.

Noubar

Lush Times Online: Then the day got even better! Mo pulled the covers off to strip bare her brand new Palm Oil Free Sexy Noubar Soap! It’s one of those “But it looks so delicious, surely i could just take a tiny bite…” soaps that are her speciality. To be fair it does look rather like nougat, what with all those crushed pistachios to give you an exfoliating scrub. Dont do it. Just wash with it. To give it another posh confectionary touch, Mo’s given it a Turkish rose absolute fragrance, with coffee and a hint of smokey vetivert. It’s long name is to remind everyone of the campaign to stop primary forests being destroyed replaced with palm plantations; profitable for the owners but disastrous for the local people and wildlife and suicidal for our shared environment. We don’t just campaign, we act. Join in! And remember, wash with it, no chewing!

Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Glycerine, Rapeseed oil; Sunflower oil; Coconut oil (Brassica napus; Helianthus annuus; Cocos nucifera), Chopped Peanuts (Arachis hypogaea), Chopped Almonds (Prunus dulcis), Chopped Walnuts (Juglans regia), Sodium Hydroxide, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Pistachio Nuts (Pistacia vera), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena), Cedarwood Oil (Cupressus funebris), Sodium Chloride, Geraniol, *Citronellol, Colour 42045 * Occurs naturally in Essential Oils

It’s a beautiful green color, and it’s nutty, but i’m not thrilled with all the
nuts.

Lemslip

4 out of 5 rating.

See my sink demo video below 😊Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerine, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Irish Moss Infusion (Chondrus crispus), Fresh Lemon Juice (Citrus limonum), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Coconut Butter (Cocos nucifera), Perfume, Sodium Chloride, Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides)
*Occurs naturally in essential oils
Size: 7.0 oz $12.60 Lemslip – 3.5 oz $6.30
NOTE: This product may melt and is NOT guaranteed to arrive solid during the summer months!

This one surprised me at how yummy, strong and wonderful this lemony buttercream is. I have dry skin so even though the smell is wonderful it dries my skin a bit more than the others, probably because it’s made for oilier skin. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like the scent.

Lush 2006 description: If you have oily skin with a tendency to go spotty then grab a slice or two of this and start washing all over on a daily basis. Fresh lemon juice is a beautiful cleanser with anti-microbial properties and it has a stimulating effect on the skin too. Irish Moss isn’t what it sounds like; it’s a skin-softening seaweed packed with minerals to get the best out of skin in need of a full service. Softening cocoa and coconut butters make sure that even with all this deep cleansing going on, you’re going to feel smooth and soft as you step out of the shower.

Butter Creams
Creamy Cakes of Glycerine Soap made in huge buckets and hand-rolled in petals, chocolate, cocoa butter and other unexpected ‘packaging’, our butter creams look like huge helpings of luxury dessert. At room temperature they start out smooth, soft and slippery, but if you’re the sensation-seeking type you can choose to chill or freeze them to turn them into blocks of invigoratingly refreshing shower soap. Butter Creams are a luxurious blend of 15% soap – enough to get you clean but not make masses of non-essential lather – and 85% natural, skin softening oils and butters, glycerine, plant infusions and essential oils. Use them for summery soft skin.

The yellow ‘bubble brush’ bubble bars in my photo below were made by Lush in the same scent of Lemslip.

Here’s a demo video i made of this buttercream

Mr. Punch

Ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, Rapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Perfume, Gin, Juniperberries – dried, Juniperberry Oil, Blackcurrant Absolute, Lime Oil, Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etridronate, Sodium Hydroxide, *Geraniol, *Citronellol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract, Colour 14700, Colour 17200, Colour 15510, Colour 42090

Mr. Punch soap smells like fruit punch!

This has the same scent as Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar, or rather Sparkly pumpkin has the scent of Mr. Punch soap 🙂 The Sparkly Pumpkin body spray, and the sparkly pumpkin slime.

Lush Times: Celebrate Christmas with a Punch! What’s a Christmas Eve party without loads of fruity, boozy punch? Not much fun, we’d say! Packed full of gin, lime oil and blackcurrant absolute to tone the skin, this colourful soap round was inspired by all the mirth and magic of a Mexican punch bowl brimming with fresh fruit.

Marathon

5 out of 5

Mint and cinnamon. Has the scent of wiccy magic muscles massage bar and 93,000 miles jellyAs I crumbled the soft deep orange bar with a paper flag of differing countries embedded in it, I smelled a wonderfully spicy blend of what smelled to me like oranges, peppermint or eucalyptus, and some eastern Indian spices. When I got in the water, this is a bar that I could feel working on my sore muscles in seconds. The smell and the feeling of the bars ingredients reminded me of the now discontinued Lush ballistic “Fizzy O’Therapy”, which had mustard seed oil in it. But Marathon is better. During this bath I wondered if this Marathon bar had mustard oil as well and apparently so. This bar makes a very noticeable difference with regard to sore muscles and being achey.

If you’ve just run a Marathon or done any work that makes your muscles achey and sore, Marathon is a great one to have around. It reminds me of the feeling of that old nasty aching muscles rub called “Deep Heat”, not the smell but the way it made your muscles heat up in a very noticeable way? Yep. Marathon smells like…Fizzy O’Therapy ballistic. I can still feel it’s effects and it’s been an hour since I got out of the tub. It’s heating properties keep going even after the bath. Because of attractiveness, bath water color, and mostly the way it works, this bubble bar gets 4 stars from me.

Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar. You can see all the clove seeds.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow bath bomb

5 out of 5 rating

See my demo video below

I took this photo below which shows the Over the Rainbow bath bomb on the right.

Theres a soap and a bath bomb named Somewhere Over the Rainbow with the same scent in my picture below.

This is a beautiful, limited edition bath bomb from Lush Oxford Street in the UK.  It shares it’s scent with the Easter time Lush soap of the same name.  I love it, it’s an innocent floral with a tad of a citrus note.  Rose oil, neroli oil and orange oil.

file-sep-25-5-11-53-pm

This is a slow fizzing bath bomb, which i love, and which gives it the time it needs to unfurl the gorgeous rainbow of colors in the tub.

The beautiful Over the Rainbow bath bomb in my tub.

The scent is medium strong, no complaints there.  It stays on the skin a decent amount of time.

It’s not a gender-neutral scent, meaning it’s highly floral, but in a soft, pretty way.

Here is a demo & review of it video below.
