Pleasure Dough

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate,Cream of Tartar, Cocamide DEA, Rose Petals, Perfume, Lavender Flowers, Peppermint Leaves, Lavender Oil, Orange Blossom Absolute, Rose Absolute

I think this smells somewhat Lush Dream Cream body lotion that Lush sell in stores. Initially i was waiting for a typical flowery or sweet bubble bar scent. But this is the kind of therapuetic calming lavender scent that posh spas would use and i love that. In the water it’s very soothing and makes the skin soft. Imagine bathing in a soothing blend of Rose Petals, Lavender Flowers, Peppermint Leaves Lavender Oil, Orange Blossom Absolute and Rose Absolute.

Lush description: Pleasure Dough is the Bubble Bar Slice for days when you have plenty of time to yourself so you can take a long, luxurious bath and enjoy every second of it. (I wish.) OK then, it’s also for when you’d love to have ages for a bath but you might as well get as much pleasure out of your five minutes as possible. Made to the personal private recipe of Ninan de Lenclos, legendary courtesan from the time of Louis XIV (someone that knew more than most about the art of pleasure), it contains flower petals and oils to stimulate the senses and to soften the skin. Do enjoy it.

If you don’t like bits in your bath though be sure to put this in a seive or a giant teaball or something to keep the petals and bits of herbs contained. The bits are just like a scattering of chopped herbs. This bubble bar makes me say “Ahhhh” at the end of a hard day and I find this to be extra good in the summer when it’s hot, muggy and uncomfortable. Indeed, it feels like the spa of courtesans in a bar.

American Cream lotion

This American Cream boy lotion smells just like the American Cream hair conditioner. A some bit of vanilla and some bright lavender and herby sage.

Black Pearl shower gel

By the way, Lush will be making the ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas soap (black pearl soap) for the December 2025 monthly subscription box.  That soap is even more rare than the shower gel or perfume because they’ve only made it once for us for Christmas 2006.

This is a different kind of scent. It is not a citrus nor candy scent. It smells like chamomile tea, with frozen black currants as ice cubes, and a sprig of fresh lavender.

was SO popular with Lushies back in the mid 2000’s.  The Lush Black Pearl bath bomb came first. 

This was never a regular store shower gel, it was only limited edition. In my photo above are all the things Lush has made with this same fragrance. I made a review demo video (below) of the black pearl shower gel i had.

I had an all silver bath once with these three silver Lush products.

ingredients are Black Sugar, Lavender absolute, Chamomile oil, Olibanum oil, Myrrh resinoid, Silver Lustre sparkle.

Lush also made a Black Pearl bath bomb (this came first), and later a soap called ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. I enjoy the black pearl fragrance very much.
And Men would like this scent too as it is a unisex fragrance.

Review: This smells like heaven to me. You’ve got a lavender citrus that is just a wonderful combination of scents. I couldn’t call it lavender with a bit of orange…and I can’t say it’s citrussy with a bit of lavender. It’s both equally and I never thought that would be such a good combination of scents. Okay, wait, it gets better….it has glitter. Not as much of a staying power as “Joy of Jelly” has on the skin after use, but that , I do like the scent of Deep Sleep much, much more
than the Joy of Jelly.

Dreamtime temple balm

For a good night’s sleep For a whole night full of restful sleep you can use a Dreamtime Bath Melt and bath oil in the bath and the Balm on your temples. Keep a tin by your bedside for when you wake up at the wrong time. Review: Lush made this for kids, to help calm them before bedtime. It’s a nuclear yellow green bar that makes nuclear yellow green water. Strong lovely lavender smell. This is fun and useful if you need bubbles that have lavender in them. We have French Kiss now but kids loved these, I guess it just wasn’t enough kids so they discontinued this one too. It was good for adults too I thought. Alo tof people didn’t like the color or they didn’t like the color on the tub afterwards or something. I never had a problem with it. I liked it.

Review: This is a smaller bomb. It smells like Lush “Dream Cream” body lotion, it’s soothing and calming to the body and the mind, because of the rose, chamomile and Lavender oil. Helps one sleep too.

They fizz and dissolve fast. They add a light color.

Twilight jelly

The Lush.co.uk site made these ”Twilight” jellies for one day only and I was lucky enough to buy a couple. Lush made this jelly in their popular ‘Twilight’ bath bomb fragrance, which Has Lavender, and a creamy tonka bean note.

I love that Lush made these jellies in pink and blue. They’ve never done this two-color thing with a jelly.  I believe these colors were used because the Twilight Bath bomb emits pink and blue colors while dissolving in the bath.

Lush also makes a “Twilight” shower gel and a perfume that i have in the ‘Twilight’ scent and has made a liquid spray perfume in this scent as well.

An all natural scent of fresh lavender, creamy, vanillary tonka bean, and ylang ylang, coming from fresh ingredients. I got my order on Sept 6.

To me the Twilight scent is even better in the jelly form.  It’s sweeter, creamier, and a bit more ylang ylang floral than in thr twilight bath bomb or shower gel.  And another plus is that this lovely scent actually stays on the skin a longer than average amount of time. This is great.

since then lush has made sooo many different oroducts with this scent.

The first time I tried this I fell for it. To me it smells like some kind of wonderful baked good.  Cardamom is not in alot of lush products. And i have always LOVED cardamom. (Lush Rangoli Dreams bath bomb has it) Its so moisturizing that it makes my skin feel, a tad greasy.  So i use it for my forearms and my legs only.  I’m mad for this bar.  Sometimes i keep a bar on my bedside table so i can smell it while i go to sleep and it’s the first thing i wake up to in the morning. The scent is so good to me that the scent takes it up to a five out of five.

 

Lush 2006 Description: Our Soft Touch Body Butter is made with plant oils and butters to soften your skin and keep your hands smooth and seriously moisturised. Let it melt generously into your hands at night and leave it there for the nutritious coconut butter, beeswax and cocoa butter to work miracles while you sleep, then wake up to the touch of soft, vanilla scented fingertips. Dreamtime bath oil

This is SO beautiful in the bath, beautiful surprises. This gets prettier as it melts away.  What a knockout color when it melts.  It looks so elegant, but when it’s in the water WOW.  Purple heaven.  It has the wonderfully spicy lavender and ginger scent.  It was very moisturizing to my skin.

The lavender also promotes sleep.

I will definitely be buying more of these gorgeous things.

I can use them when i want to take ‘clearing my energy’ kind of a bath.

Monsieur Gustave

Monsiuer Gustave, A delightful character in the movie “The Grand Budapest Hotel’.

Monsiuer Gustave bath oil has the popular Lush perfume “Cocktail” scent.  I love the color sooo much.  And the subtle sweet tobacco scent mixes with the rose oil and herb-y lavender, making a fun, bright floral.  The final color of the bath water is a gorgeous fushia purple.  Those of you who remember Lush London boutique called “B Never” will remember the scent of “Cocktail‘ of which Monsiuer Gustave is made from.

 

Lush description:  L’air du panache.  Without question, without fail, and invariably, exceedingly lovely.

Ingredients:  Organic shea butter, fair trade organic cocoa butter, lavender oil, extra virgin coconut oil, perfume, organic jojoba oil, rose absolute, tobacco absolute, purple lustre.

I cutie in half so you can see what it looks like on the inside, but i used the whole thing in the bath for this video.

American Cream perfume

Shimmy Shimmy sparkly massage bar was the originating product in this scent family. Later Lush made many different products called ‘American Cream’, and all of these originated from the scent of Shimmy Shimmy massage bar. Vanilla, Lavender, and Sage.

Description: Lush International (UK) has a party/contest for forum members. In this one in 2005, we were allowed to all vote for our favorite Lush products scent to be made for forum members into a Lush perfume, for that one time only. HIWTK won as well as Snowcake, Silky Underwear, American Cream, Potion and Fever. These were available in either 30g or 60g, in lovely Lush perfume bottles.

Perfume Oil

This is my Lush American Cream perfume oil.

4 out of 5 ratung. The scent is more concentrated in the perfume oil form. Its more yummy. 😊👍🏼

Review: This is one Lush perfume that lasts, you don’t have to re-apply like Potion say, HIWTK or Prince. I’m not complety nuts about the American Cream scent. I mean I like it, snd I use it. But it’s not like my favorite scent combo of all time so this would make it a three and 1/2 rating. This perfume did however get me more into the American Cream scent, and the perfume’s scent does last longer than most. 3 1/2 out of 5 rating.

Here’s the rectangular shape they are now, from the Lush (USA) Kitchen January 2026 Subscription box. Not quite as colorful and not quite as strongly scented.

This is the most current Lavender La Vida Loca soap which was made and included in the January 2026 Lush Kitchen Subscription box. The theme was ‘Dreamland’.

Its looks different than the original (UK) Lavender La Vida Loca/Serendipity soap. Its rectangular. It doesn’t smell quite as strong as the pieces i’ve had before. It’s hard to smell anything from it.

French Lavender and Chamomile

‘Don’t leave sweet dreams to chance. Try this skin soothing lavender and chamomile lullaby.’

Here’s the lovely piece i got.  It doesn’t have the sweet tonka note as Twilight.  It’s more of a true lavender scent, matching the “Golden Slumbers’ bath bomb. 

This soap is made into a long pole shape.  And then Lush slices pieces off cross-wise.  Pretty pink purple outter and lavender purple inside. Even though it’s glycerine based, It’s a creamy soap.

Ingredients:  Glycerine, rapeseed oil, lavender flower infusion, french lavender oil, water, dried lavender stem, chamomile blue oil, lavender absolute.

A “Golden Slumbers’ bath bomb would go well with this as both are lavender scented.   “dreamtime” bath oil would go well with this also.

 

 

 

 

 

Fun With a Twist

They made it out of two favorite bath bombs; “Dragon’s Egg” (the orange twist) and “Twilight” (the purple twist).  The citrus with the tonka and lavender is sooo good.  Who knew these two scents would be so wonderful together.  You can also use just the purple piece or just an orange piece to have a purple or orange colored bubble bar.

To me this is Lush being innovative. Not that a Fun bar is an entirely new product but up until the creation of this FWAT Fun Bar all the Lush FUN bars were one solid color and one scent.

It worked SO well in this product. Nice Lush! 👏🏼
