Review:  This is a fluoride and checmical free option for cleaning your teeth.  Basically you wet your toothbrush, then stick the bristles in the tooth powder, and then brush as usual.  It tastes like strawberry, and my teeth did feel squeaky clean afterwards. Even though it has sparkles the sparkle doesn’t stick to your teeth.  I’m definitely using this one up.  I have the other new toothy tabs to use before i can get another Toothy Fairy powder.  Video coming very soon.

2001 Lush Times description: Still on the the best sellers, the old favourite After 8:30 attracts people with its mint chocolate scent. Often people want to know if it’s edible and while it wont’ do you any harm if you accidentally lick a body part covered in After 8:30, we’d recommend that you use it for what it does best, moisturizing your skin with cocoa butter and stimulating the mind and body with peppermint which was, incidentally, used by the ancient Hebrews in perfumes because of its aphrodisiac properties. It brings a dinner a deux to the perfect conclusion, and massaging your skin with chocolate is so much better for you than eating it.

 

The Lush bath bomb ‘Chocolate Meltdown’ was made with the same scent as After 8:30 its minty and creamy and has flecks of chocolste.

Waylander Rhassoul

Ingredients: Rhassoul Mud Slurry , Rapeseed oil; Sunflower oil; Coconut oil , Pumice Powder , Water (Aqua) , Kaolin , Perfume , Patchouli Oil , Vetivert Oil.


Lush Description: Waylander Rhassoul is a soap for preparing bodies for adventure, especially if theyve not seen daylight for a while. What they need is a lovely, clay based soap made with Rhassoul Mud from the Atlas Mountains, a traditional Moroccan skin and scalp treatment which works marvels on troubled skin – perfumed with earthy patchouli oil, with pumice powder mixed in so when the Rhassoul mud washes away the dirt youre left with a hard, rocky centre of ground pumice to scrub away rough skin. Use it on feet, hands, elbows and knees (especially before using fake tan). At this point you start up a new, soft, creamy, muddy bar and youll find that your skin has already transformed itself magically from dull to bright.

Review: This soap is the epitome of an ‘Earthy’ smell.  Rasshoul smells of rich earth. Men would love this. And I love it. It’s a comforting and grounding scent.

This soap used to be called ‘Middle Earth Turns to Rock’.  But they changed the name in 2008 after one of my fellow forum members held in high esteem, Simon, ‘Waylander’ was his forum name.  He made his own armor.

Earth and Patchouli is exactly what this smells like. It’s gritty from the pumice bits so it’s good for exfoliating. This is also a good male scent. I have a love/hate relationship with Middle Earth, sometimes I gotta have it and sometimes not, but I gotta give it props for doing what it says and for being interesting to look at and it was rabidly popular in it’s day.

 

Lush Times 2005 description: At first waylander soap has the texture of smooth mud pies, the kind you made at the with your bucket and spade as a kid; the kaolin and rhassoul mud make it a wonderful, deep cleansing scrub, excellent for getting out engine oil, garden earth and paint. As you use it up you are left with more of the pumice powder and magically it turns into a bar of Rock soap; use Rock for scrubbing and smoothing your feet, elbows and really rough bits. Waylander has an earthy, spicy scent of an Arabian soukh; take advantage of its eastern magic to get your hands and feet their cleanest ever.

Beautiful Pea Green

 

Lush Spring 1999 UK description: Beautiful P Green Soap is very, very green – coloured with spinach and chlorophyll – made in a big block which looks rather like a deep, translucent freshwater pond with flowers and leaves floating on top. Fortunately, it doesn’t smell like one. However, it does have a deep, dark green scent [for those of you who smell in colour] with sandalwood, benzoin and a hint of tangerine, providing the delicious odour. Continuing the poetry theme, this one was inspired by The Owl and the Pussycat who, you may remember, went to sea in a beautiful pea green boat. (You get a slice off the 25 kilogram pond, not the whole thing, so you may get a slice of waxed flower or leaf.

(Dark leafy greens, light fruity note and slightly incensey)

Ingredients: vegetable soap, propylene glycol, water, perfume, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium stearate, fresh spinach, sandalwood oil, tangerine oil, gardenia extract, chlorophyll, chrysanthemum flowers, labdanum.

 

 

 

 

 

Pooh Stix

This bomb doesn’t color the water.  It’s an old school classic lush bomb from 1998.  It has stick pieces of cinnamon in the bath bomb.  They are supposed to represent a game of throwing six into the river on a bridge in the book Winnie the Pooh’.

This is a fast fizzer in the tub.  It fizzes away quickly.  It smells spicy and licorice-y.  I like black licorice and i love cinnamon.  I’ve used this to perfume the bathroom or my bedroom.  It smells yummy.


Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Pimentoberry Oil, Patchouli Oil, Rosewood Oil, Liquorice Root (Glycyrrhiza blabra), Cinnamon Sticks (Cinnamonum zeylanicum), Aloe Vera Extract (Aloe barbadensis). 200g £1.50

 

Spring 1999 UK Lush Times: Those who have read A.A. Milne’s books will know the game, Pooh sticks, invented by the bear of the same name. Each player drops a stick into a stream from one side of the bridge then runs to the other side to see whose stick comes out first. Lush’s Pooh Stix Ballistics contain liquorice root and cinnamon sticks so you and your friends can play your own version in the bath! It is a beige Ballistic, with a lovely scent of heady labdanum, made with aloe vera to nourish the skin.

 

Spring 2000 UK Lush Times:

Referring, of course, to Winnie the Pooh. When you’ve been out tramping through the Wild Wood, up hill and down dale, exploring, looking for heffalumps or just at work, here’s an easy way to play a version of that famous game at home. Drop a Pooh Stix in your bath, let it dissolve and it will release cinnamon and liquorice sticklets into your bath. All you have to do is whizz your hand under the surface of the water to make the sticklets rush about in exciting ways and form new equally exciting patterns on the water. Hurrah! As an added bonus there’s Aloe Vera — just great for the skin — rosewood, which is said to be balancing and warming, patchouli to banish lethargy, and heady, spicy pimentoberry that warms the emotions and is said to be an aphrodisiac. So during and/or after your bath you can rush about in exciting ways with a close friend just like the sticklets.

Elixir bath melt

 

This was always a favorite of mine.  It’s like Ceridwen’s Cauldron bath met, but more exotic smelling.  It has one of my faovrite spices-Cardamom- and rose petals and ginger oil.  It was both yummy and gorgeous.

There was also an Elixir bubble bar, which was also beautiful in the bath.

And the blue is  a limited edition one i got for the Lush Holidays years ago.

Candy Floss Showder

A shower scrubbing powder or ‘Showder’ as Lush calls it. It’s a dry shower scrub of calamine powder and sugar.  This one has the Lush Snowfairy or Candyfluff scent. Its made with vanilla but it also has a bright, fruity smell. Very sweet.

The first time I saw this on the shelves at the first Lush superstore at Oxford Street on opening day in 2014. I thought it was the cutest product ever.  I thought it was such a cute design, it looks like a box of laundry soap.  I had to have one.  A kind young woman got it for me and sent it to me here in the U.S.

Even though theyre all empty now, i still display them. 😊

Also, Lush had four other showders.  One not in the picture below was called ‘Dirty Deal’, which was rose colored and turned purple when the water hit it. So. Freakin. Cool.

My favorite showder however was the ‘Washaccino’.  The lemon was great too.   The life’s a Beach was my least favorite, it was the only one of the four that was made with beach sand as the base, too scrathcy, whereas the others have a powdery soft texture. They all lather.   The washaccino is the lather..iest. And It like washing with silk.

Made with the popular Lush “Lord of Misrule” scent;  vanilla, black pepper and patchouli.

This fun bar was made to smell like the Lush ‘Lord of Misrule’ bath bomb. Lush has also made a Lord of Misrule shower cream, another Fun multi-purpose bar called Mind the Gap-Lord of Misrule fun bar, a square “Rough With the Smooth” cocoa butter body scrub, and a Lord of Misrule perfume.

Fern Shui

Ingredients: bicarb, citric acid, perfume, lemon oil, lemongrass oil, litsea cubeba oil, fern (aspidum s.p.), lemongrass, lime leaves, gardenia extract


Lush 1999 description: A fresh, tangy but mellow bomb full of ferns and pieces of lemon grass, reminscent of a walk through a forest. As the water runs away you can read the pattern which the fern leaves make on the bath, like reading your fortune in tea leaves in the bottom of a cup. This is Lush’s homage to daft fads. It is scented with delightful lemon grass oil, which we shall continue to use long after the current trend for sticking it in every dish in astonishingly expensive London restaurants has long since been forgotten.

I was surprised at how much plant material thereis in this bath bomb. It definitely lives up to it’s name. Tons of plant stuff.
Alsosurprising to me is the smell. I love the smell. It’s not like anything i’ve smelled before bath bomb wise. It’s fresh, lemongrass and the pleasant smell of greenery. The first time i used this bath bomb i didn’t use anything to contain the pieces of ferns. The second time i used this is got a small kitchen strainer and put the bomb in there so i got just the water, not the plants.

Frog Prince bath bomb

It was made a couple of times once called Frog Prince and once called Leap Frog.

Not to be confused with the Frog Prince shower jelly of the same name that has a different smell than the bath bomb (that jelly has the Prince Charming shower gel scent)

I absolutely love everything about this bath bomb.  It’s super cute, and the smell is great, and the water is a nice color when he fizzes away.  The scent stays on my skin longer than most bath bomb scent. It’s a floral.  It’s a multiple floral.  Good Lush floral blends are fewer then the fruity or candy scents from Lush, and this is a nice floral.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute , Ylang Ylang Oil.

There is a Leap Frog perfume too. Lots of us Lushies begged lush to make a perfume from the bath bomb scent because it’s so amazing, and they did make one!

It’s not all about the fragrance with this one, it’s also brimming with cocoa butter and almond oil for a luxuriously moisturising soak.

Debuted in April 2015 This smells like orange blossom and neroli, not orange. It’s light and doesn’t leave a film like some thicker hand creams do.
As far as perfumes, if it came down to two, i like Frozen’s scent as a perfume more than love and light, i explain why in this 4 minute video i made of Love and Light hand cream up close.

Frozen bath bomb

There is also a ‘Frozen’ bubble bar, but they smell nothing alike and they look different.

OMG this Frozen bath bomb what a gorgeous bath bomb!  See my short video clip of it below. This shares its beautiful scent with Lush “Happy Happy Joy Joy” and a couple of other lush products.The scent is grapefruit, neroli, and rose.

The scent is so beautiful that many Lushies asked Lush to make this into perfume, which Lush did available for one day only.

I had a lush solid bath oil called ‘Shark Infested Custard’ which is yellow, after the Frozen bath bomb dissolved in the water. And the look of the yellow amidst all the blue looked so pretty.

When the yellow Lush bath oil began to melt it looked like a painting of yellow and blue in the water. 😍

The blue water that this bomb makes is like NO other blue lush item.  I don’t think Lush has made any other product in this particular shade of blue.

Review: The fragrance of this bath bomb surprised me.  I thought because it was called “Frozen” it might be minty.  Instead this is a Gorgeous floral with citrus notes. Rose, Neroli, Grapefruit.

It has the lscent as Lush “Happy Happy Joy Joy” shampoo and the Lush ‘shine so bright” hair styling balm. Frozen bath bomb has silver shimmer in the water which does leave an ever so light sheen on the skin after the bath. The water is an incredible bright sky blue color.

I tried to show the silver sparkle in the sky blue water.

Lush description:  Let it go – This magical blend of uplifting grapefruit, tunisian neroli, rose oil.

Heres a scent family photo i took of lush things in the same scent that i had purchased throughout the years.

Lush also made a bubble bar a couple of years later for Mother’s Day called ‘Your Mother Should Know’ which has the same scent.

Happy Happy Joy Joy was a Lush hair conditioner.

Lush made a spray perfume of frozen and a sid perfume.

Orange and Frankincense

I like the taste of these particular toothy tabs called ‘Bling!’  It’s nice and orange, like a real orange.  Even though there is gold powder on these it doesn’t get your mouth filled with gold dust glitter.  In face when you rinse your mouth after brushing, it’s all gone, just the taste remains. 🙂  These are my favorite tasting of the new shimmery toothy tabs.

Ne Worry Pas

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Soya Milk, Perfume, Bergamot Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Cedarwood Oil, *Limonene, *Linalool, Titanium Dioxide.

2006 Review: What a lovely smelling ballistic. It’s so violet-y and pretty but not too strong a violet. I love the shiny satin-like purple stuff in the middle, great color. It made kind of a sandy colored water with such a creamy consistency.

Reminds me of a milk bath. Must be because Lush puts soy milk in this.

If you combine this with a Bathos bubble bar which is purple, and has violet oil in it, that would be a great pairing. Maybe wash you hair with some violet-y Lush DaddyO shampoo, and then a light spritz of Lush “V” perfume should send you on your way to Violet Valhalla. I think this could be a classic Lush bomb.

2015 Review:  I like this as much as i liked it when it came out originally.  It’s a milky violet and it’s a slow, silent fizzer, it’s just lovely. A milky color with the little purple dot of color adding a last minute drop of color in the middle of all the creamy white color.

Lush 2006 description: You can just imagine the looks on the faces of all the Lush ballistic makers when they found out that as well as stirring the mixture, scooping it out and putting it into the two halves of the mold, that they also had to put in a miniscule magic grotto into each one! Fortunately, as Ne Worry Pas is scented with soothing bergamot oil and jasmine essential oils they’ll be smiling despite themselves. The plan is this: take your Ne Worry Pas, whisper your worries into the grotto, then let them fizz away into the milky (soya) bath water. After a lovely refreshing bath, they’ll disappear down the plughole forever!

Lemon Days and Ginger Beer

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Lemon Peel, Powdered Ginger, Perfume, Ginger Oil,  Mimosa Absolute, Red Mandarin Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Geranium Oil , Bergamot Oil, Gardenia Extract , Colour 19140.

Review: This ballistic was discontinued about as quickly as it came out. Loads of people liked it on the forum but I guess it just didn’t sell at all and was pulled a few months after introduction. It smells like the perfume Ginger, highly floral rose but it has a strong lemony top note also. I wouldn’t normally like this combo but Lush also includes Sandalwood, Mimosa (like is in 17 Cherry Tree Lane soap and Sakura ballistic) , and also some red mandarin oil. So while i don’t hate it, i don’t love it either. It’s quite strong when fresh and the red mandarin orange oil and sandalwood is covered up by the fresh ginger and lemon scent, but when this ballistic mellows a bit it’s lovely. It makes bright yellow water.  3 stars.

Lush Times 2004 Description: How about a jolly bathtime adventure with lashings of ginger and lemon? Drop into a pre-run bath for a refreshing ginger fizz and lemonade experience.

Celebrate shower gel

Ingredients: Ingredients: Elderflower Infusion (Sambucusnigra),water (Aqua), Sodium Alkyl Sulfate, Sodium LaurethSulfate, Fine Sea Salt, Cocamide MEA, GlycerylStearate& PEG 100 Stearate, LaurylBetaine, Glycol Cetearate, Perfume, Propylene Glycol, Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsiachinensis), Sweet Orange Oil (Citrus sinensis), Cognac Oil (Vitisvinifera), Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), *Limonene, *Linalool, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
* Occurs naturally in essential oils

Lush has made various things in this scent over the years since 1999 or 2000. They always advertised it as smelling like fizzy champagne or fizzy grapefruit soda. The previous name for Celebrate was ‘Champagne Snow Showers’.

Lush has made a shower gel called ‘Bubbly’ for a couple of years for Christmas with the same Celebrate scent. Also for Christmas 2025 lush is selling a shower gel called ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’ that is made in the same scent. (Not to be confused with the shower gel called just ‘Merry Christmas’, which is a different scent entirely/chocolate cherry).

Also, Lush has made a bath bomb for Christmas 2025 called ‘Golden Wonder’, with the same scent.

 So if you’ve tried these you’ll know what Celebrate smells like.
